DJ played the wrong song for the bride's entrance. He was not gracious to guests' song requests; he cut the music while the dance floor was packed, and he did not play for the scheduled time. We were so disgusted that we took Friendly Entertainment to court for breach of contract. We paid in full before services were rendered. Please do not make that mistake and save yourself heartache on your special day.

He read the room of guests and had a fantastic range of music, from our requested song lists, his own library of music, and requests from guests. He flowed easily between music, speeches, transitions, and everything in between. He kept us on schedule and gave thoughtful advice on anything we needed. He also was incredible working with our other vendors too. We would hire Frank and Simone for any other events we have in the future.

his laid back demeanor was a huge plus for us. Our guests had an amazing time and the dance floor was packed all night. Frank was very responsive to the crowd and was even able do a custom shoutout for one of our guests that we had asked for. He gave us the opportunity to plan out as much or as little of the music as we wanted. For a couple who didn't have ideas for every minute of music, it was so helpful to have him say that he would fill in any gaps. It also helped us relax on the day of and during the planning process. Frank was also very helpful in terms of laying out the timeline of events for the night and giving us some structure to work with. With two sets of equipment, Frank was able to seamlessly support the Lakeside Ceremony and the Mansion House Reception without any gaps or transitions. I highly recommend Friendly Entertainment to everyone.

feel relaxed and comfortable. I’m an old soul and wanted good classic music with some fun new stuff thrown in, and man he delivered. He worked with me up until the last minute, accommodating my late requests and doing so calmly. He made it all come together so well, I couldn’t have asked for a better wedding. My friends and family are still raving about the DJ. I was so worried my crowd wouldn’t get up to dance, and I’m shocked to say that the dance floor stayed full all night and I give that credit to Frank! He was never cheesy or over the top like some an he, he was literally perfect. If you want a great DJ look no further, Frank is it!!

He understood that Jennifer wanted to get the "wedding necessities" over early in the night and then it to be just a big NYE party for our family and friends. He was a fabulous MC who moved the night along seamlessly. My daughter and my husband had a fun surprise dance planned for the father daughter dance and Frank helped her compile the bits of 3 or 4 songs into something that sounded like it was meant to be for that special night. We "met" with Frank over facetime twice before the wedding and he put into action every wish that my daughter had regarding the music for the wedding. He listented to the types of music she wanted played and more importantly the types that she did NOT want played. His lovely wife came along to assist the night of. Thank you to you both we would recommend you to our friends every time!

ally* get nervous dancing. But what I didn’t get nervous about and what I did really enjoy – was working with DJ Frank. After we met with him, we didn’t feel the need to interview any other DJ. He immediately comes across as someone that can work with whatever your vision is. We were going to have a mix of cultures – a very large South American crowd and a solid group of Midwesterners. So the music definitely reflected that mix, but DJ Frank combined it all in a way that we got a lot of compliments on during/after our wedding. We loved the portal he has for you to enter in the music you want (and he welcomes you to give him suggestions of music he doesn’t have as he explains his passion to being exposed to new music). He has great tools to help you think of every aspect of the music you’ll need from before the ceremony to the very last song. He was flexible and helpful when we wanted to skip certain traditions (did I mention my lack of enthusiasm for a first dance??). I think the best way to pass on my recommendation to use DJ Frank is the quote the person that recommended him to us (a professional running a popular venue place, so someone that knows a lot about various vendors): “Pick Friendly Entertainment and Frank. Once you talk to him, you’ll see why I need to give you no other direction than that.”

He was so welcoming and made us feel like we had known him forever. Frank made picking songs and finalizing our timeline so easy, I had no worries in the world. Not only was the planning process wonderful, but our wedding night was PERFECT. The music kept EVERY SINGLE GUEST on the dance floor, which was what my Husband and I wanted! It had people on the dance floor all night, and it had a good range that allowed all ages to have a great time. Dennis also did a great job as an MC. He even checked in with me and my bridal party to make the night exactly what we'd like it to be. Great work!

r matters we didn't want to obsess over, with minimal direction, he seemed to intuitively grasp what we were going for, delivering just what we wanted without us having to ask. Technically, Frank's system, which included setups for our outdoor ceremony, including extra speakers for a handicapped seating area, and reception, sounded great. As a DJ, Frank knows how to run the show without stealing the show, communicating well with fellow vendors and the wedding party to keep things running smoothly, keeping announcements to a minimum, and keeping the party going simply with the right music, with none of the over-the-top antics some DJs resort to. The dance lights included with Frank's setup are a nice extra, subtly livening the mood without the need for another rental. Frank's wife, Simmone, whom we worked with on the business side of things, also does makeup, which we received a discount on since we booked Frank. Simmone was very personable and did an amazing job.

, song requests, and details so you never have to question if you and your DJ are on the same page, and this is in addition to a meeting several weeks before the wedding (which is not offered very often). Simmone, the owner/director of operations, has gone over the top to accommodate us on our wedding day. She has been the most responsive and helpful person that I have worked with for the wedding, and she is one of the sweetest people you will ever talk to. Upon canceling our scheduled meeting due to getting sick a couple of weeks out from our wedding, she sent me her grandmother's soup recipe and assured me that she would be there should I need anything. Frank (also known as "Friendly Frank") is as kind as Simmone and I know that he will bring the party on our wedding day. I highly recommend using Friendly Entertainment for your event – they are the best!

(relaxed, fun, chill, and then a party). We didn't make a lot of specific music requests, but Frank captured exactly the vibe we wanted--he's a true pro. He was super flexible with making announcements and accommodating requests from our guests, and played music that got everyone from our majority under-30 crowd to our parents to the catering staff up and dancing. Frank made our wedding an incredible party and it wouldn't have been as fun without him!

The microphone he had for our officiant was also a god send. We cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience with Frank. He is personable, friendly, and knows the crowd. ry picky when it came to selecting a DJ. Frank surpassed our expectations. From the beginning, Frank was extremely approachable & available to answer all of our questions. We met with him twice on Skype before our wedding. Frank took the time to get to know us & the vision we had for our wedding. After our initial meeting with Frank, we honestly felt like we had just booked a close friend to DJ our wedding. Frank allowed us to select “must play” & “don’t play” songs, as well as choose the music for all of those special moments throughout the night. He took the time to ensure he was pronouncing the names of our bridal party correctly & that he had the specific versions of songs that we wanted to hear. He helped us to put together a timeline for our reception that was cognizant of time restraints & the general flow of the evening. He allowed us to put together a list of songs that we wanted to hear during our cocktail hour, dinner, & reception. From that list, Frank picked songs to fill in the blanks & everything he picked was perfect. My brothers organized a special dance at the last minute without me knowing, & Frank made it fit seamlessly into the night. So many of our guests of all different ages commented on how much they LOVED the music at our wedding & how grateful they were to have songs that fit everyone’s tastes. They also loved that the music was kept at the perfect volume–loud enough to keep the party going but not so loud that you had to scream to talk to the person next to you. The dance floor was packed all night & we were ecstatic. Frank was also affordable & just a genuinely nice guy. Don’t underestimate the importance of selecting the right DJ for your wedding-the music plays a huge factor in creating the ambiance for your wedding. We couldn’t recommend Frank more highly!

and amazing at their jobs. I don't know if that is the sign of someone who is just a really cool person or a true professional who is good at their job, or both!! Friendly Entertainment is AMAZING! We were recommended to DJ Frank by our wedding venue, Vandiver Inn (who does NOT pay to endorse vendors). We were recently married on 12/13/14 and all of our family and friends specifically raved to us about how AWESOME the music at our wedding was. Frank is such a cool guy and really easygoing. He played a great variety of music. But, equally importantly, he was so wonderful to work with. He knew how to get the crowd going, knew when to be encouraging and "direct" the crowd, but all in a totally cool and friendly way, and NOT in a pushy or cheesy or annoying way, like so many other wedding DJs who try to steal the show. Our guests were really responsive to his style and everyone loved him! I noticed that he would sometimes give a shout out to a specific guest in the crowd, and it made us all seem like we were hanging out like one big family! Our only regret is that we can't get married all over again to work with Frank again! Frank, you rock!!

to the reception. Our guests kept coming up to us throughout the night telling us how awesome our DJ was and 3 months later they're still talking about it! He has an extensive music library and a great system for selecting your songs online, and was also very flexible in helping us find a few oddball songs that were important for us to include - I was amazed that he was able to find Bonnie Raitt's version of "Baby Mine" for my father-daughter dance! Of all the vendors we had for our wedding, Frank was the absolute best. Do yourself a favor and choose Friendly Entertainment for your wedding!!

for the evening. He was very accessible before the wedding and answered all of our questions. Frank downloaded songs for us, at no additional charge and was great about shortening songs (like for the first dance) without making it too abrupt. Once the dance floor was opened, it never went empty! Anyone can have a setup with lots of music but getting to know your audience and playing the right music really takes some talent. Frank was open to all suggestions- even when my brother dressed up like Gumby and came out to dance to a funny song. We had a blast and can't thank Frank enough for making our evening so wonderful. Book Frank if you want to have fun!

the wedding. He was always open to phone calls during the planning process. The night flowed perfectly thanks to Frank. There were consistently people out on the dance floor, and I credit Frank for knowing how to keep the party going. Highly recommended.

an appropriate time. Frank provided the music for our ceremony and reception. For the ceremony, he guided us through the entire process, made sure we had songs appropriate to the length of our procession, and worked closely with our officiant for the proper cues. We really relied on Frank for this last one, because our officiant was a friend of ours with no prior experience. Frank made sure everything went off without a hitch. As for the reception, Frank knocked it out of the park. We gave him a list of songs for cocktails and dinner, and he played everything we requested. When it was time for dancing, we gave him some very loose guidelines (heavy on Motown and ’80s) and let him work his magic. He kept everyone moving all night. We had many, many compliments on the music, from 20-somethings to parents to grandparents. There’s also an important element to any wedding that Frank made sure to ask us about: the “do not play” list. We gave him some specific songs and genres that we didn’t want to hear, and he made sure none of those songs came up. All in all, Frank was the perfect choice. He’s a fun, personable guy with tons of experience and great taste in music. One side note: Frank has a great relationship with the Vandiver Inn, which was our venue. It really made us feel good to see our DJ and the venue staff interacting like old friends on our big day. I’m sure Frank is awesome at any venue, but if you’re getting married at the Vandiver, you’ve gotta get Frank!

how I wanted my night to go. Financially he was very reasonable and he even did my ceremony music. For our reception my husband and I decided to do a surprise dance and he was able to fit the music I gave him right into what we wanted without us missing a beat..thank god! I knew that I wanted to spend most of my time dancing and Frank made sure to play the best music for our crowd. I had so many people telling me that I never left the dance floor! My guests and I had so much fun we didn't want the night to end. Even when it was over my guests were collecting money to have him stay longer! Frank said it wouldn't be a problem but my venue said no. I would highly recommend Friendly Entertainment for your wedding, I wish I could do it again!
