Olandra was very professional and took the time to really make our first dance memorable. She was very patient and worked at our pace. At the end of each session she would record a short summary clip to help us practice what we learned later. We highly recommend her!

We loved working with Olandra! She taught us the skills needed to pull off a successful first dance that seemed organic and natural, not overly choreographed or rehearsed. The end result was a first dance that we and our guests enjoyed! Comments included “epic” and “a first dance so hot it could’ve made the Devil sweat!”

Olandra, our teacher, lives to dance and she gave me confidence. I have always avoided dancing but I learned to look forward to classes. She was always flexible in her schedule and gave us new ideas with each class. Our first dance At the wedding went very well and my wife Kate and I will continue to take lessons with Olandra. Prior to the wedding Kate and I applied our lessons to learning more about one another and we will continue to use dance as a way to bond. Olandra helped us to get over the rough spots and now I want to become a better dancer. This from a former non-dancer.

From the start my fiancé and I felt comfortable with Olandra. My fiancé had never danced and I needed an in depth refresher. We wanted to choreograph a wedding tango to a non tango song. Olandra had great suggestions and embraced our vision. We had more dance lessons than we originally signed up for but only because we had so much fun and wanted to continue to learning new things. Our wedding dance was fantastic and we will definitely be back for more routine dance lessons for the fun of it!

We had a wonderful time during our dance lessons with Alex! His relaxed personality and clear instructions helped us gain confidence on the dance floor and enjoy our first dance! We looked forward to the lessons every week! We had such a good time during the lessons that I also added a session for the father daughter class.

Olandra is an exceptional dance instructor. After three lessons, she brought me from having no dance moves at all to being comfortable and confident for our first dance at our wedding. In addition to being an expert dancer, Olandra's instructions and pedagogy were clear, thoughtful, and carefully tailored to us. She is a wonderful teacher and I would recommend her to anyone.

Highly recommend!! My husband and I took five lessons with Olandra before our wedding and it was an excellent experience!! We both had never taken dance lessons before and needed a lot of teaching and coaching and Olandra was perfect for this! She was so kind and encouraging with a TON of patience!! We really appreciated her personalized feedback and willingness to practice the moves with us. We felt comfortable and excited to have our lessons! Even though our first dance was not perfect day-of, we were both very proud of it and enjoyed that special time together!! If you're not sure about lessons, don't hesitate because you'll be sure to use your skills beyond just your first dance!!

My wife and I recently got married and for the wedding, we signed up for a 5 class dance lesson to help us prepare for our first dance. Both my wife and I are not dancers and had never taken any dance lessons before. However, Olandra has the patience of a saint and was able to teach us some fundamentals of partner dancing that we were comfortable performing and learning. And most importantly, we had a blast doing so! We had so much fun performing our first dance and it was very special for both of us. Additionally, later on in the evening, we were able to dance together some more with the moves that we learned when the band played other music. Now we can't wait to dance more going forward! I highly recommend From This Dance Forward. They were flexible with timing, always on time, have a passion for dancing, and really enjoyed teaching us how to dance!

We had a fantastic experience with From This Dance Forward! We were both pretty nervous about our first dance and over the course of four lessons, Olandra taught us basic steps and choreographed a simple yet fun first dance that we felt extremely confident about. She was always open to our feedback about what we felt comfortable with and was so patient with two beginners. Olandra was very accommodating and flexible with our busy schedules. We could not be happier with the end result, not to mention the lessons were tons of fun! I’m really surprised at how comfortable I’m starting to feel dancing. I always felt uncomfortable at weddings and events, but only two lessons in and I definitely think I’ll be confident enough to spin my girl around the dance floor. Olandra is so helpful and takes the time to address all of our questions. We are having a blast learning something together and I can’t wait to attend all the upcoming weddings now.

My then-fiancee and I work a tough schedule for our jobs and dont have much time for lessons - Kate and From This Dance Forward made 2 months of wedding dance lessons happen in 1 week for us - we came in hoping to just learn some basic steps, Kate helped us even choreograph a light dance for our wedding as well. Our guests loved it, and we loved working with her. She is an awesome instructor. We highly recommend Kate and From This Dance Forward for anyone looking to learn their wedding dance, or even just learning to dance for the first time like I was!

Kate was fantastic to work with!!! Normally these lessons are spread out over several months and she helped us complete the lessons in several days!! She knocked it out of the park. 5 stars all around. She was a gentle and awesome instructor to work with. She was super helpful and our dance was very well received. Thank you to Kate all around. My dad and I worked with Olandra to choreograph a dance down the aisle. She was wonderful to work with and our dance was perfect!

We are SO happy we decided to invest in a three-lesson dance package before our wedding. It was such a fun time for us to spend time together before the wedding. Lindsey was incredibly flexible with our schedule and so great to work with. Rather than doing choreography, she taught us a bunch of steps to string together so that rather than being rigid, the dance felt very natural, but also polished on the day of the wedding. All of our guests were impressed with our moves! Thanks SO much Lindsey!

Lindsey and Alex were such a pleasure to work with! Let's just say that they had a lot of work to do with our crew, and they made each dance lesson fun and enjoyable. They also made scheduling lesson times incredibly easy, so we were always able to find a time that worked in everyone's busy schedules. Lindsey and Alex are incredible! Let me start by saying my wife and I have never been dancers. When we say we were were going to have our first dance at our wedding, it might as well have been our VERY first dance. We felt uncomfortable with the notion that our first dance would be mediocre on such an important occasion. Lindsey worked with us on individual levels and as a couple, walking us through the tempo, helping us to find out rhythms, and guiding us through our waltz. With the help of Alex, we were able to feel and understand where each other was and how to properly lead and follow. At the end of only our fourth and final lesson, my wife and I were spinning, twirling, and coordinating like we'd been doing it for months, and our first dance turned out to be perfect. We truly have This Dance Forward to thank for not only building up our confidence levels, but for teaching us only a portion of what they bring to the table. I cannot speak highly enough about our experience with From This Dance Forward! We LOVED working with Alex. He made the process so much fun and helped us turn our beginner skills into a beautiful first dance. From playing our song when we walked in to using our hobbies to give us cues, Alex made this a very personal and special experience. Hands down my favorite part of wedding prep!

We had such a great experience with From This Dance Forward. Lindsey and Alex were very easy to work with especially around our busy schedules. My fiancé and I have limited dance backgrounds and both our teachers were able to teach us very quickly. We are very pleased with how our first dance has turned out!

I LOVED working with Lindsey through From This Dance Forward. I do a lot of partner dancing but no choreography and for my best friend’s wedding I wanted to help her and her fiancé come up with their first dance. I hired Lindsey to help develop a dance for their song and she was just perfect. She assessed their skill level, how much time we would have together, and the things they were already working on to create a perfectly tailored, loving, and fun choreography. I’m a visual learner so she wrote out where different moves go in the music and we made practice videos. We also practiced a few variations to have on hand in case the couple wanted to go in a different direction. It was so clear that she had the experience and skill to work with people of all levels in a warm, accessible and fun way. The bride and groom loved the dance Lindsey made for them and I felt empowered to work with them because of all the skills, tricks, and choreography Lindsey developed with me. I would recommend anyone who’s looking to learn to dance or to come up with a first dance or performance piece to reach out to her. But be careful, you might just fall in love with dancing and not be able to stop!! :)

Lindsey and Alex were awesome to work with! My husband and I were living long distance for a period of time and they were super flexible meeting with us. which was very appreciated. Since we were beginners we didn't think 10 session would be enough but they were so good at teaching that we were able to nail a great routine with nightclub 2 step, cha cha, and salsa basics. It was so fun learning and we even used our moves at few other weddings we have been to since! As for the wedding, NONE of our family or friends knew we were choreographing a dance -- IT. WAS. AWESOME. The whole crowd got into it and it was one of my favorite memories of the day! Thank you From This Dance Forward!!

It was a wonderful experience, I would highly recommend it anyone for all their dance needs. I was worried about being an embarrassment on the dance floor at our wedding. From This Dance Forward, took all that worry out of my mind.

It's August right now. Our wedding was in April and people STILL love to break out the videos they took on their phones of our first dance...which is slightly embarrassing for my husband and me (but only because we're not used to watching ourselves on video, haha). But we love that they loved it so much and we have the amazing and talented Alex and Lindsey to thank for everything!! It was so much fun working with them. They helped a couple of non-dancers break loose and have fun on our wedding day. We purchased their 10 lesson package and practiced as much as we could in between lessons. They were also able to mix the two songs we wanted to mashup for an additional fee. We've been to a few weddings since our own and have been able to bring back some of the basic moves they taught us a few months ago which has been so much fun. If you want to do something a little different for your first dance and need a little--or a lot of--help from the pros, these two are your people! Thank you, Alex and Lindsey!

Working with Lindsey with This Dance Forward was an absolute pleasure!!! We sent her our song and she showed up with an expertly choreographed dance. It was really, really perfect. We started off with the basic steps and worked our way through the choreography over the course of our lessons. The finished product was polished and impressive (all credit to Lindsey). Our guests LOVED the First Dance. More than that, though, the whole experience was my FAVORITE part of the wedding planning. The video from our First Dance will be something we cherish for the rest of our lives. 5/5 highly recommend This Dance Forward.

I have always loved dancing and just wish my husband had the confidence to occasionally sweep me off my feet. I took him to From This Dance Forward's Nightclub Two Step workshop and he was a very reluctant starter. However, the calm atmosphere, considerate people and excellent teaching allowed him to relax enough to learn the steps and by the end of the two hours we were dancing. I can't thank Lindsey and Alex enough for this wonderful class. What a gift!!!!

My fiance and I attended the November Nightclub Two-Step Workshop and absolutely loved it! The instructors did an excellent job of teaching both efficiently and effectively so that we were able to learn a lot of steps in the short two hour workshop. We felt totally comfortable trying out what we had learned at a Christmas party a few weeks later. Highly recommend and would definitely take another class through the company again!
