Five stars is not enough for Darryl. He was professional, very organized, and thorough. We had a very specific vision for our wedding and we truly felt like Darryl took his time to hear us and cater to our vision. He was patient with every question we had, even after the wedding. He connected nicely with our guests too and my only regret is that I don't think we got a chance to take a photo with him at our reception. If you're looking for an officiant, congrats because you've found him. Darryl is your guy.

I cannot rave enough about how fantastic Darryl was with our special day. We had a last minute change and brought him in very late to the game and he not only made us feel ready to get married by the time we were done talking to him but everyone we spoke to after the ceremony said it was one of the most beautiful and fun ceremonies they have attended ever. He made it personal, light, funny and eveything you would hope to bring happy tears to a room full of people’s eyes. Thank you Darryl!

Darryl was our officiant and he was fantastic! Many people came up to us after the wedding to say how amazing Darryl was and how he did so well at sharing our story. What surprised others was the fact that we had only met Darryl this year, many thought he had known us for years! We enjoyed sharing with Darryl our journey through our Zoom sessions and he did a great job at giving us the right prompts. Each moment with Darryl was spent with purpose. He is attuned with all of the logistics that go into a wedding, and his expertise will make you feel at ease. My brother even said he wanted Darryl as his wedding officiant, so we look forward to seeing Darryl again in the future whether it be at my brother's wedding or another friend's wedding!

Darryl was a rockstar! From the very beginning, we felt very comfortable in our meetings with him. He took his time in getting to know us a couple and learning our love story. You could tell he was fully invested and wanted to know every detail. This shined through on wedding day when he arrived early, greeted us, and formally married us in front of 150 friends and family. Darryl was funny, energetic, magnetic, and captured the crowd with great voice projection. We had numerous people tell us our ceremony was beautiful and our officiant was amazing. We wholeheartedly agreed. The ceremony was one of our favorite parts of the day. We are truly grateful for Darryl's services and couldn't recommend him enough.

We found Darryl here on the Knot and he did not disappoint. He was so helpful throughout the whole process and was always available to answer any questions we had. Me and my (now husband) have been together for 10 years and he was able to summarize our relationship perfectly and had everyone laughing. It felt like a family friend was retelling our story. When it came to finding an Officiant for our wedding. . . We were lost. We knew how much the right person was going to mean for our day, so we took to the knot to read some reviews. Quickly we stumbled upon Darryl's page, and were captivated by other's reviews. Everyone spoke of how their families felt like the couples had know him for years, and how tailored their ceremonies were. . . Let me tell you. . . He does not disappoint! Hands down the nicest, most genuine person I have ever met. . . The beautiful ceremony he did for us, would have been unmatched by anyone else. He took the time to get to know us, and tailored a beautiful homily, true to our story. Everyone of our guests thought he was a life time friend. . . And now he is!! We were even honored enough to have him and his wife at our reception, where he mingled with our friends and family as one of our own! Darryl did a beautiful job with our ceremony. We still get compliments up to this day! He was able to package our 9 year relationship and beautifully deliver it to our guests during our ceremony after just a couple of meetings with him. He kept our crowd engaged and present the entire time. He was a perfect balance of professional and personal (like family). He walked us through the entire process leading up to our big day to include reminding us of the things we never would’ve thought of beforehand and the day of. We are so grateful and blessed to have had him officiate us.

My husband Kyle and I had the pleasure of working with Darryl this summer and he was by far one of the best decisions we made throughout our wedding planning process. It was important for us to have a ceremony that was both spiritual and highly personal. We made the decision to work with Darryl ahead of our wedding to complete pre-marital counseling. The entire process was incredibly comfortable, and Darryl began to feel like an old friend. We got to know Darryl and he got to know us  When it came to our big day, Darryl put together the most beautiful ceremony for our wedding. His homily was every part loving, hysterical and so perfectly Kyle and me. We could not be happier with how he captured our love. Our 215 guests have repeatedly told us that we had the “best ceremony they had ever been a part of” all thanks to Darryl. If you want an officiant who listens to your wishes, meets you where you are, and puts a high amount of care into your day, you can’t go wrong with Reverend Darryl. Darryl, thank you doesn’t cut it! This was a wonderful experience! We had several Zoom meetings to review and to get to know one another and then a final walk through of the ceremony. He delivered a lovely speech and had everything that we wanted to include. I highly recommend him!

Rev Cruz did a fantastic job with our wedding ceremony!! We wanted a religious ceremony but also new we wanted an outdoor setting. We found Rev Cruz on the Knot and after an initial zoom call, we knew he was just what we were looking for. We had several meetings with him before our big day where he asked thoughtful questions and took time to get to know us and listen to our story. He walked us through the process and made sure we were comfortable- he also did a great job at the rehearsal! The ceremony he delivered on the day was PERFECT - it was traditional yet modern, included God and our family and friends, it was heartwarming and also filled with laughter. We had so many people compliment Rev Cruz on the ceremony and many said it was the best they’ve ever attended. The ceremony is really the most important part of the day and he made it SO special for us. From the first time I contacted Rev. Darryl Cruz he has been excellent to work with. Rev. Darryl was our officiant at our wedding and we also chose to do premarital counseling. The premarital sessions were wonderful and we felt comfortable throughout the whole process - we are very happy we chose to do the counseling. There are no words to describe the exceptional job he did as our officiant. We are not very religious, but some of our family members are, and we wanted to honor that. He tailored the ceremony entirely to us incorporating traditional aspects of a ceremony with a personalized twist. He incorporated our best friend who is no longer with us, added humor, and an all around happy vibe. After the ceremony was over we had more people than we could count compliment Rev. Darryl and tell us how beautiful the ceremony was. Rev. Darryl was the first and only officiant I contacted and as I said, words cannot describe how thankful we are that he made our special day even more special than we could have imagined. Darryl was great and made the whole process very easy for us. He provided us with a number of "templates" to help make our decisions, depending on which direction we wanted to take our ceremony. He took a lot of time to get to know us and gave us a sweet and personal ceremony. Both sides of our family loved him, including us.

Rev. Darryl Cruz is PHENOMENAL! He was so warm, and really cared about us as a couple. Darryl was also very easy to talk to, as my husband and I have anxiety. He put us at ease, and customized our ceremony perfectly. Our parents loved him, and he walked them through the ceremony before it started. Our guests thought our ceremony was beautiful and felt that Darryl really knew us. He was even able to change a close family member’s view on marriage! Just wow! He started our marriage off with such love and compassion! Look no further….he is your officiant!

When looking for someone to officiate our wedding our hope was to find someone who could write a ceremony that was personal to us. We wanted the ceremony to feel personal and intimate but were too shy to write our own vows. We didn’t know what to expect when we found Darryl on The Knot, but he ended up far exceeding any expectations. The ceremony was a perfect mix of serious, sentimental, and funny all thanks to Darryl. The ceremony was the talk of the reception. Everyone thought we must have known Darryl for years and were so shocked and impressed to find out that we had found him on The Knot. Our maid of honor enjoyed the ceremony so much she connected with Darryl right after our wedding to book him for her own wedding in 2022. We also took advantage of the premarital counseling with Darryl, and we were surprised how much we truly enjoyed the experience. It sparked many meaningful conversations leading up to the big day. In the midst of wedding planning, our sessions with Darryl would always remind us that the point of the wedding was build a marriage not just plan a party. You should have 100% confidence that Darryl will help make your special day perfect!

Darryl was attentive, thoughtful, and a joy to work with from our first interactions setting up a meeting to remembering to wish us well on our honeymoon. He helped us plan a ceremony that was uniquely us and blend our mixed backgrounds, while even making room for our dog to be included. We’re still receiving compliments on how beautiful the ceremony was, but truly, the compliments are all owed to Darryl. We can’t recommend him enough!

Let’s start off with how amazing my ceremony was. Rev Darryl really listened to all my ideas and really captured everything so perfectly. He made our love story funny , romantic and included our beautiful children in the ceremony. He found just the right words to say and was there to calm us down before the ceremony. Truly a great guy and gave me one of the best moments of my life.

If I could give six stars I would. Darryl was professional punctual and incredibly generous with his time. The premarital counseling he offers is fantastic and incredibly helpful. Darryl was able to provoke very important conversations out of us that has helped strengthen our relationship. He took the time to get to know us and that was so helpful in making our ceremony that much more special. Having him there as a guest of our wedding was appreciated as well. We couldn’t have been happier with our choice in officiant.

We had a few meetings before our wedding day and in those short moments he was able to put together an amazing story about us to share at our ceremony. By far the best pastor/dj I've ever seen. Not one hickup and very flexible with any issues. He not only made our wedding outstanding by he also set up the most upbeat and best environment ever. Darryl officiated our wedding on 7/4/21 and did an INCREDIBLE job! He performed the most personalized ceremony we and our guests have ever seen. Darryl met with us multiple times prior to the ceremony which resulted in him knowing us, and our relationship, beyond the surface and helped build the perfect ceremony with us. Rev Darryl is the BEST!! Not only was he incredibly supportive throughout the COVID pandemic, but he also gave us the day we’d always dreamt of! I cannot begin to say enough good things about Reverend Cruz. He worked with us from the beginning after a postponement and a venue change. He went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and work with me since I wanted a bilingual ceremony. I wish I could give more stars than just five. Rev. Darryl Cruz was over all amazing. He made my fiancé feel so comfortable by being bilingual and crafted such a unique and personalized ceremony. All of my guests couldn’t stop talking about how amazing the ceremony was. Rev. Cruz is wonderful to work with and was very responsive at all times.

Rev. Darryl was amazing! He has a great disposition and guided us throughout the whole ceremony planning process. He is very organized and acomodating. We have a very diverse group of guests and our families backgrounds are different. He was able to make everyone feel included, comfortable and have a great time without compromising the seriousness of our ceremony. We hosted a smaller wedding than what we were expecting because our original plans were changed because of the pandemic. He was flexible to the change of ceremony type and location without hesitation. He even shared dinner with our guests and made friends with them. We are very grateful and we will definetly be working with him again at our vows renewal post COVID-19. You can't go wrong selecting Rev. Darryl. We definetly feel like we won a friend from this process.

Reverend Darryl Cruz was the most amazing officiant for our wedding yesterday. And let me tell you about being flexible. When I told him 7 days before our wedding that we had to change venue’s and to see if he could still attend, he said to not worry about anything and he will be there. When we met initially, we instantly clicked. He seemed like the perfect fit, and we had no idea how true that would actually be until the ceremony. He blew us away with how personalized it was and how it seemed like he knew us for years. We are die hard Eagles fans and pink was our main color, and he even wore a pink Eagles tie. Our guests were even talking about how great it was the next day. It was all the little touches that were absolutely incredible and we are so grateful to have such an amazing person marry us. We couldn’t be happier with our ceremony and I couldn’t recommend him enough.

Reverend Cruz went above and beyond our wildest expectations and made our ceremony truly perfect. The entire ceremony was personal, intimate, and customized exactly to what we were looking for. While my husband and I are not very religious, we come from extremely religious families who all wanted a straightforward, cookie-cutter Catholic ceremony. We wanted a ceremony that incorporated the religious aspects that were important to us, but that really reflected our beliefs and values as a couple. Not only did Rev. Cruz create the perfect ceremony, he did so with a smooth mixture of humor, kindness, seriousness, and fun. In fact, when friends and family came up to congratulate my husband and I after the ceremony (and for weeks to come), they all said it was the most beautiful wedding ceremony they had ever witnessed. Rev. Cruz’s homily fit us perfectly and you could tell that he had gone to great lengths to represent us, our love, and our story as he joined us together in marriage. We are so incredibly grateful that Rev. Cruz officiated are wedding and will look back on our ceremony fondly for the rest of our life together. Thank you, Rev. Cruz.

My now husband and I were looking for some one to officiate our simple wedding ceremony. We are not personally religious but both come from Irish catholic families. Rev Darryl went above and beyond my expectations! Both of our families raved about how impressed they were with him! He made the ceremony completely customizable and added something for everyone. He really knows how to construct a beautiful ceremony with his great demeanor. I would highly recommend him!

We were in a last minute scramble to find someone to officiate our wedding since none of the JPs would do it outside of court. I reached out to many on The Knot but none really struck my interest until I recieved a response from Rev. Cruz. He was more interested in learning about us and our ceremony than throwing the cost of his services at us first thing. He met with us, in a very casual non stressful setting and just took the time to chat with us about us. He tailored the service around us with a little religion mixed in as we didn't want an overly religious ceremony. The day of the wedding came and he delivered an AMAZING service. We were so impressed as were our guests. We recieved many compliments about him. We are so thankful he was available to officiate our wedding and will always recommend him to others. After seeing Darryl officiate my uncle's wedding a few years ago, I immediately knew I wanted him to officiate my ceremony with my (now) husband as well! Darryl is super professional, kind, and personal with his work and did a great job at keeping traditional themes in our ceremony while adding individual touches that fit well with my husband's and my relationship journey. His main focus was making sure the ceremony fit US as a couple, whether that was making it more traditional or contemporary. He was also very quick to answer any emails or text messages and helped us with all of the steps leading up to the ceremony - he provided me with answers to questions I didn't even realized I had! Our union in marriage joined not just two people, but three children into one family; a widow & a wounded solider! Close to the wedding date, our original minister turned ill. Feeling frantic, we reached out to family for referrals and recalling at Christmas my Aunt and Uncle saying wonderful things about their new minister, we were referred to Rev Darryl Cruz. Having spoken on the phone, we arranged to meet this man, as we found him intriguing by his faith and energy. From the first time we met, he listened to our story, learning who we “were”, who we “are” and the direction “we” as a family are heading. In the final stages before the wedding and after meeting our children it felt everything was coming together and Rev Darryl truly felt and understood our life’s journey. The day of our wedding, our parents walked us down the aisle and tears of joy streamed down our faces. As we stood, facing each other, looking deep into each other’s eyes, we started to share our vows. Rev Darryl, pulled together our story, our journey! He embraced our faith, the love we have for each other and our children, the challenges we have endured and those to come. Rev Darryl delivered one of the most impacting sermons that I’ve encountered. He went from a man willing to help us out; to a spirit that encapsulated the very essence of God, Family, Faith and Love. It wasn’t a coincidence that we met. We shared our life stories, we connected in such a unique way, that we are a part of each other’s lives because of our union. Our wedding ceremony was incredible, Thank You Reverend Darryl Cruz.

Rev Darryl Cruz was amazing! He tailored the ceremony to my husband and my culture. Extremely professional. The session we had with him before our wedding really opened our eyes as to were we fall as a couple on how compatible my husband and I truly were before marriage. Needless to say we are very greatful for Rev. Darryl. We hit our one year mark Aug 26, 2018. My husband and I love each other more then ever. Thank You Rev. for being apart of our big day.

Pastor Darryl is truly second to none. His homily and his words not only moved my wife and I, but everyone in the church. He also brought a delightful sense of humor that both Danielle and I share. He did pull a fast one on us though...he had us write love letters to one another that we thought we were going to exchange. I must say, we were pleasantly surprised when Pastor Darryl began to read my wife’s letter to me and vise versa in front of the congregation. It was one of the best surprises and we couldn’t have been happier. It brought tears to our eyes and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. We would recommend Pastor Darryl to anyone and everyone who is looking for the perfect ceremony to kick off their new marriage!!!
