I really loved this venue! Morgan was super helpful and accomodating. I loved the extras like the golf cart to ride around property and the 20x30 tent! The property was also PERFECT for photos. The bathrooms were nice and warm and clean and the kitchen was perfect for storing anything we needed for the evening (ice, freezer/fridge for desserts, etc.) The ONLY slight complaint I have was the time we had to be out. I thought 10:30 was a little bit early, considering we had to have everything cleaned up and gone by then. Overall, I was very pleased with this venue!
The octagonal barn was perfect for my vision, the museum has so many photo opportunities. The staff was excellent to work with and communication was prompt. Our day was perfect!!
We had our ceremony and reception at the Octagonal Barn. Cost was very reasonable for this area and staff is very helpful and professional. The venue and its surroundings offer lots of room for you to be creative or embrace the natural beauty. The venue coordinator, Erin, was very helpful when it came to figuring out the floor plan, coordinating rentals, and showing us how others had decorated. She was very responsive and present on the wedding day; whatever we needed, she was on it!
We booked this location without having ever visited it which was a bit scary. The coordinators were great to work with and helpful during the planning process. The octagon barn was perfect for our wedding and reception. If you’re looking to have a reception for around 100 guests, this is the perfect venue. And a huge bonus... it’s extremely affordable!
The lady that does the scheduling had some personal issues and messed up parts of the paperwork trail in regards to payment (saying I hadn't when I had). Otherwise they were wonderful, easy going, and DEFINITELY reasonably priced!
We ended up choosing this location because it was perfect for the indoor/outdoor feel we wanted for our day. The upper floor of the barn is amazing, so we used it for the reception. The bottom was okay, but since our ceremony was short, it worked out fine (and still photographed beautifully). It was so inexpensive compared to other similar vendors, and the attention we received by staff was impressive.
I had my wedding reception in the Octagonal Barn and it was PERFECT. the staff was super helpful and accommodated several walkthrus with different vendors ahead of time to ensure my wedding would go smoothly. The museum attendant with us during set up and the event was ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS and it was so nice to find somewhere beautiful that gave us the freedom to decorate in a way that reflected us, and didn't charge us an arm and a leg to do so! I recommend this to anyone looking for a good ol' classy southern barn wedding, especially DIY and budget brides like me :)
We had our reception here and absolutely loved it. Everythimg was perfect and the views were beautiful!
We chose our location due to the octagonal barn that they have on property. The weekend that we got married also happened to be Octoberfest at the museum and the staff made us and our guest completly at ease. They even reserved parking for us dispite the fact that the parking lot was filled to capacity. They even had someone who hung around the site just in case we might need something.;It can be challenging to keep pedestrians from peeking in. I was fine with most of it but when people start to let themselves into the venue to look at the decorations it gets a little irritating.
