My husband and I were married at Skylands Manor November 2023. The ballroom was the perfect setting for our wedding reception. The grounds were beautiful for our pictures and our maitre'de, Linda was courteous, professional and she didnt miss one detail of our special day. (I actually felt like she was part of the bridal party.) The ceremony was beautiful, the food was delicious and our guests loved the history of the mansion. I highly recommend Frungillo Caterers and ask for Linda! You won't be disappointed.
My husband had a party with his American Legion members at Frungillo's and I must say that Linda did a fantastic job organizing the party for us. From the moment we arrived, she made sure that everyone was comfortable and having a good time. She was attentive to our needs and went above and beyond to make sure that the party was a success. Her attention to detail was impressive, and she made sure that everything ran smoothly.
Absolutely stunning venue! Linda Pergola provided us with exceptional service and made my parents 60th Anniversary celebration beyond what could have wished for! She made the planning experience stress free and paid attention to every detail!
I have my daughter’s engagement party there with the help of Linda Pergola it was a major success!
The location is spectacular and the service is top notch. We stayed over night, the rooms and the morning breakfast was such an excellent experience.
Highly recommend!!!
We had our annual holiday party here and it was spectacular! Linda was absolutely tremendous and super helpful! We will definitely be booking again not only for our wonderful experience but for how wonderful the staff and Linda was to us! 5 stars all around!
Loved having my wedding at Frungillo’s! From the food, to the venue, to the staff but ultimately it was Linda Pergola that made it all happen!
Attended a wedding at The Inn at Mill Race Pond earlier this year and it was wonderful. Venue was stunning. Staff was exceptional (especially Laura K). Overall fantastic experience.
Went to a wedding in May at the Inn at Millrace Pond in Hope NJ and loved it! What a beautiful place. The reception was in this amazing Barn. The food was delicious and the staff was great. Especially Laura, the Maître d who tool care of everyone with a smile !
I attended a wedding at the Inn at Millrace Pond and everything was amazing from start to finish. The property was beautifully maintained, and our room was so cute and cozy. The woman running the wedding Laura was incredible everywhere you turned she was there.
Skylands Manor exceeded our expectations and did such an amazing job for our wedding. My husband and I booked a tour with Matthew and instantly knew this venue was the right fit for us. The staff on hand are remarkable and were so organized with everything from the moment we arrived until we left. Anything we needed was done instantly. The service was exceptional! All my guest had nothing but great things to say about the staff and their service. By far one of the best cocktail hours and dinner food for a catering venue.Hoping to have another amazing party there in the future I will be recommending this venue to others!
My son and daughter-in-law celebrated their marriage at Skylands, and we couldn't have chosen a more splendid venue with exceptional food! Matthew did such a great job and exceeded our expectations in crafting a truly magical day. Every guest raved about the stunning outdoor ceremony and venue, as well as the delectable food. Words cannot adequately convey our gratitude for selecting such an extraordinary venue and catering team. A heartfelt thank you to Matthew and the whole Frungillo team for turning our dream wedding into a reality!
Me and my wife got married in October at Skylands Manor, and our guests are still talking about it. Whether it was the food, the beauty of the castle, the grounds, or even how friendly the staff was, it was a dream come true for us. The entrees were incredible, and the cocktail hour stations were out of this world. For a couple that started not knowing what kind of venue we wanted, we couldn't be happier. We met with Matthew to start and he was amazing. He helped us every step of the way, and his team on our special day was just as good as well. Me and my wife can not thank the Frungillos enough
I attended a wedding on May 20th this year at The Inn at Millrace Pond and it was amazing! The Barn there was beautiful, part chic, part rustic - a perfect combination! The food looked great and it was the best I’ve ever had at a wedding. The staff was friendly and took care of everything with a smile. I would highly recommend!
Frungillo catered our wedding at the Art Factory in Paterson, NJ and they made the event a dream! The food was absolutely delicious (we thought so and we heard so from our guests-- all positive reviews!). They were highly attentive to our guests' dietary needs, including our guests with a serious gluten allergy (Celiacs). They happily accommodated our special desserts rather than a traditional wedding cake. The bartenders kept the bar stocked all night and kept our signature cocktails coming.
And throughout the event, they were careful to take care of our guests and us! As soon as we walked into the cocktail hour, a server brought us a special plate of food to make sure we didn't miss the appetizers. When we missed dinner visiting tables, they kept our entrees warm and brought them back out to us! The bartenders kept the bar stocked all night and kept our signature cocktails coming. They gave us to-go boxes of the power hour food (amazing). And they really knew the space and took care of guiding us and our guests throughout it. Ben was so integral in helping us plan the flow of the reception, helping us ask the right questions of our other vendors in advance to ensure everything could run smoothly on the day-of without us having to worry at all. I could not recommend Frungillo more!
I cannot put into words what the Frungillo family did for us for our wedding day. We booked the Inn at Millrace Pond when the barn house was still a concrete slab - just to show the trust we have in them. From the walkthrough and planning process with Michelle and Robert, to the day off with Gerry and Linda, everything was spectacular. Upon entering, our guests were greeting with espresso martini or champagne shooters which were delicious. Not only that, our guests could not stop raving about the food. The fresh mozz station was a hit, and our pasta and Tuscan stations were top notch. To top it all off, everyone’s filet (their top dish) was cooked to perfection. Some people even ate their table’s leftovers it was that good! We even had an afterparty at the gristmill… and you already know by this point how that went. All of our guests stayed at the venue in the multiple rooms they have to offer and we were able to have a brunch the next day to recap all the memories from the night before. I wouldn’t have booked my wedding with anyone else but the Frungillo’s. They’re not just your friends, they’re family. Thank you thank you!!
WARNING! They are the rudest most heartless, defensive narcissists I have ever met! They lied to my husband and I about all the promises they made, and the wife of the owner, Lisa called me just to yell at me!
Firstly, we were told that signs would be put up to prevent tourists from interfering with our ceremony and reception at the Skylands Manor. There were no signs! We had random tourists sitting in our ceremony chairs and in our photos! My guests had to tell them to leave! Random people were drinking the cider we paid for, and no staff was there to stop them! Lastly, two random women that were NOT my guests asked me what time my wedding started AS I WAS ABOUT TO WALK DOWN THE ISLE! I could not believe the lack of respect the staff has for the couples who pay for weddings here!
Second, we got ROBBED at our own wedding! The owner’s wife advised to me that they hire a third party for their wait staff, so they don’t know these “kids”. Someone went into the UNLOCKED groomsmen room and opened my husband’s and all his groomsmen duffle bags and ripped open envelopes! I asked the Maître d' why they did not lock the doors and she said it is not their “policy” to lock the bridal party doors. They were both left wide open the entire time with guests wandering around everywhere even when I had asked them to lock them! Unreal! I never heard of that “policy”! If you check other site’s reviews, there are multiple reviews regarding theft! And the owners rudely get defensive! Lisa, the mother of the Maître d' Michelle, called me the following day after I had texted Michelle if I can get the video footage to see who did it. She yelled at me and violently and told me that I was calling her daughter a thief! I never said that! All I had texted Michelle was that I would like to see the video footage. Mind you, I still tipped the wait staff because I thought it would help me get the video footage! I wasn’t rude to anyone that day because being rude doesn’t get any situation resolved.
Another issue I had, since the door was unlocked in the bridesmaid room… someone went in there and ate all my cocktail hour food. I mentioned this to the Maître d' Michelle, and she didn’t even ask her staff to get my husband and I extra plates of food! When her mother Lisa called me the next day, I explained to her the situation, and she yelled at me saying “Michelle is not your servant!”. I was so confused because they are serving food… if something is wrong with the food, isn’t the wait staff responsible to fix the issue? I was not even rude to Michelle. I could not believe that I spent 60K on this wedding and they couldn’t even get me an extra plate of food!
3 weeks later, I met again with the owner’s wife Lisa. She allowed me to view the video which showed nothing because their cameras are conveniently only in certain areas of the mansion… I recorded the entire conversation and I kept catching Lisa in lies as she verbally abused me. She proceeded to tell me that I was being knit picky and making a big deal out of “nothing”. She would not even give me a partial refund either. These people are ruthless and heartless human beings.
The wedding reception we attended earlier this month at the Inn at Millrace Pond was superb in every way. The venue, the food, the attention to detail, and the servers made it a most memorable evening. We hope to book our son's wedding here for 2023.
The wedding at Skylands was one of kind for a close friend's daughter. Michelle and the Frungillo staff treated her like Cinderella in her own castle! The entire family cannot stop talking about how great the food was and the wonderful time everyone had. Highly recommend them!
I recently got married and had my reception at Skylands. The day couldn't have been more perfect. Thank you to the terrific staff, the beautiful venue and the catering exceeded all of our expectations. Michelle and the entire staff of Frungillo's Catering went above and beyond from start to finish. They truly treated us as we were a member of their own family.
Our wedding exceeded all my expectation. The food, the staff and Skylands. LOVED IT!!! I truly felt like I was in fairytale.
In my very own castle. Michelle made everything so easy and had so many great suggestions leading up to our day.
The wedding at Millrace Pond was exceptional. The venue was incredible, as was the professional staff, food and service. The attention to detail was incomparable. I highly recommend.
I wish I could rate 100 stars. Honestly, my experience with Frungillo Catering was stress free during a really stressful time with the pandemic making wedding planning so challenging. I felt taken care of, great food, and everyone really went the extra mile to make us feel special.
I would rate a zero if I could.
My fiancé and I have been working with Frungillo’s for over a year for our wedding. We knew they cost a little more, however we were excited for their food as it tasted amazing at our tasting.
But I was letdown at my wedding.
For these reasons below:
1. Misunderstanding over the food menu- this is my least concern.
2. Rubberband found in a guest meal ( unfortunately he did not get a picture)
3. We asked for 2 bars, only 1 was set up ( told we did not have enough liquor, when I personally worked with the distributor to make sure we did)
4. Ed was heard yelling at his staff
5. Servers were very young, under 18 because they could not serve alcohol. They were seen dancing on the dance floor and one ran up and kissed one of my guests on the mouth and ran off. ( we have a picture of the server)
6. Minimal to non-existent served hors d’oeuvres. Myself and the guests did not see or get any during the cocktail hour. When asked for more, they were told no.
7. Small portions for the salads brought to the table.
Please see the attached photo with their email replies back.
I called them as I stated at 2:30pm today to discuss because their replies were unacceptable. Michelle stated she would not speak to me since she did not work the event, just Ed. Even though Michelle is who we conduct business with from the beginning!
When I called- 3 times- no one answered. The way we are being treated is unacceptable and Frungillo as a whole needs to take responsibility for how they conduct them self as a business. We want to talk to someone above Michelle and Ed!
Please take this warning and avoid this place at all costs.
Frungillo catered our 200+ person wedding and they were AMAZING. Usually wedding food isn't raved about, but ours was a hit. Everyone who attended has been asking us who catered the wedding. We were one of the first couples to decide to postpone our wedding due to covid, and Frungillo was so easy to work with to make this possible. They're a family owned business and they made us feel like family. The quality of their food is incredible and they were a pleasure to work with leading up to our wedding. Michelle was so responsive and made everything perfect for our big day. Our wedding cake turned out beautiful and tasted homemade. SO happy we chose Frungillo to cater our big day! You should definitely do the same--you won't regret it!
We honestly entrusted Frungillo caterers to make sure I day went on without a hitch. We dealt with Ben from the beginning who was awesome and Nancy who truly has a heart of gold! Our wedding was suppose to be October of 2020 but due to COVID we had rescheduled. First and foremost I want to say that we had our wedding May 30, I called and complained about all that occurred a few days later and not one person reached back out to us. The maître d’ Eddie was suppose to be in touch with us prior to the wedding and nor myself or the person in charge at the Oakeside Mansion (where we had our reception at) could get in contact with him because they had a rain date that they never once offered us and it downpoured and we had to squeeze everyone in a small room because the tent outside was soaked inside. Eddie showed up close to 12 o’clock and apologized for his lack of communication. Meanwhile my family was in the tent moving tables around because of all the wet spots around on the floor, he was able to help with the very little that was left. On top of all it, they delivered the wrong cake to our wedding, & not one person could help out and the bakery told us unfortunately not to serve the cake as we had people with allergies and they were unsure if the cake we had received had any nut filling. And on top of it the threw the top of the cake out (we dont have any food allergies so we we’re planning on taking the top of the cake to freeze and eat for our year anniversary.) But when we went to get the cake, it was already thrown out. Cocktail hour again due to the weather everyone was just packed in the small area, but again they never offered us a rain date they had provided to the venue. Dinner time came, the staff was such in a rush to get dinner out they served everyone at once without even asking the people who were vegan but instead served them chicken and salmon. So I had to ask them to remove the meat and serve the vegan option which they served cold. After speaking with Nancy the dish was suppose to be hot. At the end we we were suppose to get the alcohol that was already opened but since the bartender was too busy taking shot with our guests he then gave the alcohol to the guests instead of us to take back. At the end when we went to get our stuff my husband went upstairs and 2 of their staff were rummaging through our belongings which one they saw us they left immediately. I spoke with Nancy and let her know our concerns but no one has reached out to us and I was hoping to make things right but they haven’t. But take this from us, they make you think everything will go go smoothly but their service was horrible, all they want is your money and could care less how their catering services turn out. I would never use them and will discourage anyone from using them!
We did our wedding at Skyland's Manor in October and it was absolutely gorgeous. I will start with the good stuff - We got a 50+ degree day in mid-October and the grounds were absolutely gorgeous. The Castle, the gardens, the area where we had the ceremony looked amazing and pictures came out unreal. Both inside the castle and outside the pre-wedding photos for both bridal parties came out beautiful. It really is a unique venue. Linda was very good at coordinating - other reviews are somewhat true - she's a bit difficult to reach over e-mail but I found that if you just call her she always answers or calls right back. I think it's a generational thing (no harm there). For the staff - the two ladies that helped us out on our actual day of were AWESOME. They were so helpful and accommodating, and trying to make sure our day went smoothly without us having to worry. The beverage manager even gave my buddies a bunch of beers to have in the library before the ceremony. We filled out the venue rooms and that was a great time as well having everyone stay at the venue.
The food: the dinner was fantastic - which I don't say about every wedding entrée. Steaks were actually good and not overcooked. Everyone loved the stations - we had Chinese takeout boxes with lo mein and stir fry ( a huge hit), American fare station and pasta station (all great). Complimentary seafood station (meh). The pass arounds however were a little off. We asked them to bring us a sampling of all the pass arounds after our ceremony to the bridal suite for my wife and I to enjoy before heading outside and the platter was sent up with fruit cups (we didn't order fruit cups) and not all of the actual pass arounds. Some we didn't order and some we did. It seemed as though some of the pass arounds we were most excited about, we never actually saw, which seems to be consistent with other reviews we read. Another thing was, they served bud light cans at our wedding. I'm totally in for bud lights at a wedding, I am by NO means above a cold BL .... but can you at least spring for bottles? We paid a boat load of money for this day and to serve bud light cans is ridiculous. So while there's some nitpicky stuff there, how beautiful the grounds looked and how unique that Castle is outweighed all of the bads BY FAR. And having an amazing band obviously helped. If you don't want a golf course country club wedding and want something unique but can't afford the city view...definitely do it here. It's gorgeous and having your closest family and friends be able to stay overnight with you makes for a really really fun night. If you get locked out of the venue at 3 am, the night manager is even there to let you in.
I have been blessed to know the Frungillo family for many years and am beyond thankful they are experts in this field! Due to Covid-19, around July/August, our original venue advised our only options were to cancel or postpone. We knew we wanted to keep our same date and make it happen however we could. Without hesitation, Rob Frungillo Sr. so graciously took my call and laid out several options of how he could help all while complying with the ever changing guidelines. Miraculously, Oakeside Mansion was available on our original date! We knew it was fate and booked immediately. Rob put us in touch with Michelle who became our main point of contact and maître d' for our wedding day. Michelle helped us re-plan our entire wedding in less than 2 months!! Michelle did a great job leading up to our wedding and was very attentive to the many, many questions and requests we had. She put every concern at ease by finding a way to accommodate and make things happen.
Oakeside allowed us to have the most normal wedding we possibly could! They went above and beyond with handling the guidelines and restrictions to make sure our guests and family feel safe. Their land allowed for us to offer our guests additional activities in the event they felt uncomfortable dancing. Their grounds are absolutely STUNNING and made for beautiful photos we will forever cherish.
The food was INCREDIBLE! A month later, our guests are still telling us how much they enjoyed cocktail hour and their meals! The cake from Palermo's was the most delicious cake we've ever had. The staff was so friendly and extremely accommodating to our guests.
One guest recently told us, "Your wedding was an amazing escape from Covid-19 for one night. Minus the masks/hand sanitizers you would never have known your wedding was during a pandemic" and for that we have to credit and THANK Michelle, the Frungillo's and their team from the bottom of our hearts - without them it would not have been possible!
Highly, highly recommend the Frungillo's and all their venues for any/all events!
Our wedding was originally scheduled in May and due to COVID our caterer and venue canceled on us. We had to scramble to reschedule somewhere else and thank God for Frungillo Caters. They were very accommodating and understood the stress we were under. Robert Frungillo helped us reschedule out wedding date to September at the Castle Skylands Manor. My fiancee is ecstatic over this and we have to thank the Frungillos for helping during this stressful period. I highly recommend this gorgeous venue for anyone needing to reschedule. Love this caterer and family. Thank you!
We had to reschedule my daughters wedding due to Covid - and the Frungillo’s could not have been more accommodating. We moved to one of their beautiful outdoor locations, The Inn at Millrace Pond. The tent was beautifully decorated and they had masks and hand sanitizer for everyone. The food was delicious from start to finish. The reason I am most happy is that my daughter was thrilled. Our nightmare from April had a fairytale ending in August. Thanks again to The Frungillo staff!
I can not speak about the food from Frungillo Caterers but would like to comment on their service.
Due to Covid my daughter's August wedding was cancelled back in early April. Robert Frungillo (of Frungillo Caterers) and Stewert Ashton (of Ashton Farm, Califon, Nj) are refusing to respond to my numerous emails and phone calls requesting a refund of deposits. No services have been rendered. I would think that such a highly regarded company would execute more professional customer service. They do not!
The one time Robert Frungillo agreed to speak with me I had asked for a full refund and he stated that "it really isn't a lot of money" and that he would forward my email request to his attorney... I never heard back from him!
If it "is not a lot of money" to them, then they should have no problem giving it back to me!
I do not recommend Frungillo Caterers!
We were married Oct 12, 2019 at The Inn at Millrace Pond.
Amy was a dream to work with. I have professional experience with some event planning and respect the amount of work goes into the big items and small details. Amy was great to work with, very personable, clear communicator and task oriented. Meaning she could get us to focus and accomplish everything that was necessary while providing great customer service. No surprise that she attended to our every need on the day of our wedding as well. She calmed my nerves and took care of everything we needed, before we could even ask. I can't recommend her enough. She kept things moving without making us feel rushed, that way we could enjoy some of the extras without running out of time (cigar bar, pizza truck). She is highly skilled and a true professional.
The Oakeside Mansion in Bloomfield is a stunning venue if you love dramatic backdrops, victorian aesthetics, and dream of living in the past. It was the perfect location for my 1920s speakeasy wedding.
Pricing was very affordable, especially compared to what a typical North Jersey wedding would cost.
With that said, you have to be mindful and vigilant of timelines and plans. Be prepared to stay on top of them in regards to communication, it was a hassle to get answers or finalize things. (It was honestly the most stressful part of planning my wedding - just the lack of timely communication and confirmation) Be sure to keep documentation/copies of everything.
Despite the communication hiccups though, it all worked out beautifully in the end.
Remember that It's an old mansion, with lots of history and character. Play those details up!
Linda at the Castle at Skylands Manor is AMAZING! I couldn’t have had a more perfect wedding without her. She truly knows her job well and is an extreme professional. From months of me driving her nuts with questions all the way through my wedding day to make sure everything went perfect...I’m one lucky girl to have had such a lady helping me out every step of the way! Many thanks to Peter, Michelle, Amy and Rich for all their help, support and dedicated service and great wait staff team. What a great bunch of people. Frungillo’s is A++ in my book! PS...the food is spectacular too. Kudos to the Chef!
We couldn't possibly thank Ben and his team at Frungillos enough - they were incredible!!!
We got married at The Art Factory and lost our caterer about 6 weeks out from our wedding date. We were totally panicked, but had been given Frungillo's name, and immediately reached out. Frungillos treated us amazingly from start to finish.
They took over everything, and the food was INCREDIBLE. It was honestly the best wedding food I've ever had, and we've had countless guests tell us the same thing. Even our pickier eating guests were absolutely raving about how much they loved the food and stuffed their faces. Not only was the food amazing, but we did family style, and the food was also the most generously served wedding food I've ever experienced. They serve every table one round of all the items, and then kept coming back to refill items until every table was finished. They also did late night snacks that were awesome, and our guests went nuts about all of it!
The service was also wonderful. They assigned us a personal waiter, who kept finding us and handing us a personal tray of apps, or a fresh drink, or dessert. We never had to go in search of food or drinks for ourselves, and that was awesome!
Frungillos really came in at the last minute and completely saved our day. We know without a doubt that it would not have been the success it was if we didn't have them. Thank you so much to everyone who played a part on your team!!!
Ben and his staff put on the most amazing wedding for us at the art factory - the food was amazing, the execution was flawless, and the personal care was extremely appreciated and generous. They're the best.
My husband and I cannot fully express how happy we were with our experience with Frungillo’s Catering. Our Maitre D, Dawn, was so incredibly helpful throughout our entire journey. She was accessible, available, flexible and relieved any and all stress we had associated with planning our big day. We would absolutely suggest that any couples planning their wedding, work with Frugillo’s and more specifically, Dawn, as their Maitre D. The food was amazing, as well. I can say with full confidence that Dawn and her team at Frungillo’s helped create an absolute dream day for us. Dawn was a key component to making our day absolutely perfect and everything we could have hoped for. Dawn and her team went out of their way to be sure that elderly family members were comfortable and didn’t want for anything. Thank you, Frungillo’s, Dawn and team for creating the most perfect wedding day for us and making our day an absolute dream.
I got married at the Falls and everything was amazing, from the food, alchohol, staff! The staff is incredible, the management is professional and accommodating, and the venue is breathtaking. Michelle worked with us for months leading up to our wedding and went above and beyond for us. She answered every email quickly and really helped me make this day about my husband and I. We spent the best day of our lives here and would do it again in a heartbeat.
We had our wedding at the Inn at Millrace Pond with Amy from Frungillo Caterers. It was everything we could have hoped for and more! Amy went out of her way to make sure every detail was perfect and that the night went smoothly. Unfortunately, we had rain all day, but Amy and her team made sure we everything was set up according to the weather and made sure we all knew where to be and when. My guests are still raving about how amazing the food was! We can’t thank Amy and Frungillo caterers enough for the most amazing day!
My husband and I got married on September 27th at Oakeside Mansion. We were disappointed with the execution process by Frungillio’s. Frungillio’s as a whole, and our event coordinator Ed, were disorganized, not prompt to answer e-mails leading up to our event and dishonest. Our first red flag was after signing our contract, we received an e-mail (not even the courtesy of giving us a phone call) saying they double booked our original date, despite having already signed our contract. We were so in love with the venue, we chalked it up to a miscommunication--no big deal. Unfortunately, instances like this became regular throughout our planning process. Many promises were made and fell short on our wedding day.
We worked with Ed throughout our planning process. On most occasions, it took at least a week to get a response back and most of the time, my husband had to text, call and e-mail several times to prompt a response. The morning of the wedding I received a text saying he would not be able to attend our wedding due to an emergency. While I understand circumstances arise, I believe a phone call is the LEAST he could do to break the news--most brides would freak out.
Ed and Frungillio’s promised to essentially be my “go-to” on the day of the wedding, but again they fell short. Decor was not organized as promised. Details that were promised in our final meeting were not executed. Staff had to be told as guests were arriving to finish setting up the cocktail hour. Ed failed to communicate with my vendors. Staff was nowhere to be found minutes before the wedding. I (the bride!!) had to put my bridal party in the processional order because no one was there to do it for me. We didn’t even know where to put the overflow of garbage from the bridal suite. One of the two bathrooms broke half way through the wedding and there was no assistance for our guests other than a “out of order” sign on the door.
The next day our family went to pick up our decor with the understanding that our items would be in a corner of the tent area as there was another wedding the next day. When our family arrived, our items were sprawled all over the mansion, not in the original boxes or packaging. Items were missing. Extra, unopened candy from our candy bar were stolen (over $500 worth). The groom for the wedding the following day was in a sheer panic because no one who worked for Frungillo’s could be found and the mansion was a complete disaster.
Following the wedding, I reached out to the owner of Frungillo’s and Ed to ask for a meeting to discuss our disappointment. While the original e-mail was acknowledged, the message with our concerns did not receive a response, along with the several phone calls made and additional e-mails. We were blatantly ignored. They received our money and did not care about our dissatisfaction, nor did they try to explain themselves. On top of stealing our decor and favors, my husband and I didn't even receive the top of our wedding cake as a keepsake for our one year anniversary.
By no means did Frungillo’s ruin my wedding day. Our wedding day was perfect because of the people and love that surrounded the room, not because of their poor attention to detail. If I can give any future bride advice, do not book with Oakeside Mansion or Frungillo’s simply because they will not give you the attention you deserve, especially with the money you are paying. It’s not worth the stress on YOUR beautiful day.
I thank the Frungillo team for their exemplary service, outstanding team and stellar food. Our wedding was held at the Inn at Millrace Pond with ceremony scheduled to be on the lawn. The weather was calling for chance of rain so I was concerned that we would be directed to move in the tent. Amy was hopeful and had her team set up on the lawn. I was thrilled that the rain held up and we weren't coerced into changing venue. Amy was organized, professional and gets the job done. Our service staff was incredible. SO many guests commented on their friendliness and efficiency. Special thanks to Danielle, Kip and Layla. You guys rocked it.
Look no further for your catering needs and consider Millrace as a venue if you are looking for rustic with a "wow" factor.
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, BEAUTIFUL and ELEGANT. First, I would like to thank John, for having the patient of a saint. Great person to work with. Dawn, I can not thank her enough for her hard work and making sure my husband and I ate, drank and having a good time. She was our answer to our prayers to make sure we weren’t stressed out. My husband and I had our wedding at the conservatory at Sussex county fairgrounds. We had 220 people and every single one of our guest said “the food was amazing” and THE CAKE! They said the cake was the best wedding cake they ever had. ON POINT !!!! It was 85 degrees that Saturday and the infused water was a big hit for our guest since our ceremony was outdoors. The staff was amazing. I highly recommend Frungillo. Thank you guys so much for making my dream wedding come true
Frungillo Caterers was absolutely a match made in heaven for my husband and I. Every meeting with them was pleasant and professional. We were married at The Inn at Millrace Pond in Hope NJ and it was absolutely the best most beautiful day we could have asked for. Amy Spacht, specifically, was phenomenal. She was our Maitre D and she made us feel comforted from day 1 right up until and through the wedding answering each question we had for her. I truly cannot say enough about this company and Amy.
It is no surprise now why Frungillo’s is our venue’s top caterer. Everyone we worked with at Frungillo’s throughout our wedding planning process was incredible at his or her job and extremely helpful. The food tasting was expensive, but worth it. John was extremely helpful during the tasting and during the initial planning stages. We then met with Dawn to review the timeline and finalize the menu, and she was amazing. She was extremely responsive to all modes of communication, even early morning texts as the wedding was approaching. Jerry was our maître d and went above and beyond to make sure the night ran smoothly. Everyone was raving about the food, especially the cocktail hour. If anyone needs to bring in their own caterer, we definitely recommend Frungillo’s!
Due to its proximity to Jack’s Barn, my husband and I decided to book the accommodations for our guests and our rehearsal dinner at the Inn at Millrace Pond. And out of everything I had planned for our wedding, it is my greatest regret. In fact, I am HUMILIATED by the experience my guests had and cannot express strongly enough how much you should NOT book rooms at this inn, which does not even offer basic amenities, is rude to its guests, overcharges for basic services and is run ineffectively.
1. The new innkeeper, Jessica, is unpleasant, unhappy and rude to the guests. When everyone was calling to make reservations, no one answered the phone and my guests had to call multiple times to get a reservation. During their stay, she was rude to them (several of them let me know this) and locked the door after a certain hour in the evening, making it impossible to get any help or ask any questions. When I would email her, it would take her days or weeks to reply, and when she did reply, her answers were clipped and curt.
2. Upon arrival at the inn, all of the guests received a slip of paper saying there was no cable TV in any of the rooms. I was not notified in advance that this would be the case. For all guests stuck there during the day before the wedding began or my Aunt who was there the night of the wedding watching my cousin’s baby, they had no TV to watch. They did not reduce the rates of the rooms despite not providing this basic amenity.
3. On the day of the wedding, the main building had NO HOT WATER!!! Therefore, all of our guests including the bridesmaids and groomsmen had to take an ice cold shower. The men had to do cold shaves. The showers also have no water pressure, so they had to take an extremely long shower under trickling freezing, cold water. I was humiliated. The boiler was broken in the main building, something that should have been checked prior to our weekend event. Again, no discount was offered to our guests and they had to pay full price.
4. The phones in the rooms were all disconnected. Therefore, when our guests tried to call reception (when there was NO HOT WATER), they could not do so. All lines were dead. They had to go down to talk to Jessica, only to find no one at the main desk.
5. I had made arrangements with John to hold an after-party until midnight after the wedding. To simply open the space, they charged us $350 and then another $150 for the bartender. My husband and I and the bridal and groom’s parties did not get back to the inn until 11:30pm. Despite the arrangement that it would stay open until midnight, they locked the door to the tavern on us at 11:30pm. I contacted John about this and asked for a reimbursement for the time we were denied and he never got back to me. He said the owners wouldn’t do it because of the cost of turning on the lights. Huh?!
6. We also paid money to have the firepit made available to us both nights and due to rain, the firepit would not work one night. We were supposed to be refunded for that and again, that never happened.
In the transition to the new ownership, it is no longer being effectively run. Therefore, while they figure it out, I would refrain from booking any major events there.
Amy of Frungillo's is the Angel we needed but didn’t deserve. From first introduction Amy was clearly knowledgeable and confident working events at the Inn at Millrace Pond. She answered emails quickly and found answers for all our our detailed questions and she really put us at ease that everything would not only be okay, but would be perfect and beautiful (and she was right)!
- We worked with the Frungillo team on changes to our menu and we left our 2nd tasting feeling confident in their catering skills and the menu. We had a mix up at our 1st tasting, but Amy & team did everything possible to make it right and we can't thank them enough.
- The serving staff was professional and quick, we received so many comments on how great they were. They assigned the bride and groom our own personal attendant to make sure we ate and drank what we paid for. This was a really nice surprise and we loved it; Tori was so sweet! We opted to add an additional server to pass out our signature cocktail and this was such a hit!
- The food was delicious! We had an Asian Salmon, Filet Minion, and Chicken with a blueberry sauce, also a Cauliflower Steak veggie option. We loved the food and the guests raved about it as well.
- We had cupcakes for dessert and they were perfectly tasty, in addition to a cute lil cutting cake. We added on the Donut Flambe option and this was so cool! It came with a flaming station which lit up the guests faces outside by night, ice cream and toppings! It was one of the highlights of our evening.
- In the end - some things went wrong (on our end) and Frungillo's made quick fixes which led to a perfectly seamless evening. We give Amy & Frungillo's the highest rating!!
From the beginning Frungillos was always on their A game! When I first met them John he was always trying to help out. He worked with me to make sure that I was comfortable with the contract before signing. He answered all my emails in a timely manner which is very important to me. I soon started working with Dawn who is spectacular! Just like John she was super nice and answered all my questions and worked with me every step of the way. She made sure to stay on top of everything and made sure everything got done the right way. Towards the end of our 5 month planning we were introduced to Jerry the Maître D' who made the wedding the day of as smooth as possible! He would come up to us the day of the wedding to make sure we were happy and everything was running how we wanted it to be. The food was perfect and the staff were amazing the day of the wedding! I am so glad I went with Frungillos and would recommend them to anyone in need of a caterer!
There are not enough great things that I could say about Amy and her team at Frungillo. We changed our wedding day plan drastically, going back and forth between an offsite wedding and a more traditional site, and Amy was with us every step of the way. She offered us many solutions and advice about what we were trying to accomplish. Amy was flexible and adaptable, even when we would make a decision and then change our mind again hours later (bride brain). Amy was professional and was always quick with a response for any questions we had. On the day of the wedding, she made sure that I was taken care of the whole day and made sure everything was just as we had talked about. Honestly, my day would not have been as perfect as it was without Amy.
They were very nice to work with! They really worked around our budget and gave us options. The food was pretty good and they were efficient and timely. We had a couple bumps along the way with linens, but everything worked out. Very professional and made our day go smoothly! Would definitely recommend!
We could not be more grateful to the Frungillo staff for flawlessly pulling off our wedding despite having to move up the reception by 5 hours with less than 12 hours notice (the governor declared a state of emergency for practically our entire wedding day due to an impending snow storm). When we called our Maitre D’, Jerry, at 5 pm the night before our wedding and asked him if the schedule change would be possible in light of the state of emergency, he hung up with us and immediately started making calls. Within 30 minutes he called us back having contacted all the various catering related vendors, rearranged his entire plan, and marshaled his staff to make sure that our wedding could still happen. Truly incredible customer service.
Although we were very very pleasantly surprised that Frungillo was able to pull it off, we were not at all surprised that they were willing to try. From day 1 Frungillo was a pleasure to work with. In the beginning we worked with John to negotiate the contract, and he was both easy to communicate with and very accommodating. A few months after signing our contract, he connected us with a wonderful Maitre D’ named Dawn who walked us through the catering process, helped us arrange our tasting, and relayed messages between us, the bar tenders, and the chefs. When it became clear that Frungillo had recently switched to a new tasting policy that only allowed for a few group tastings throughout the year, Dawn advocated for us to have the private tasting experience that we had initially been offered since the group tastings did not align with or schedules and had not been mentioned in the original contract. (It's worth noting that the tasting is not included in the package and is $100 per person.) In the end, Dawn ended up having a vacation scheduled for the week of our wedding, so she wasn’t present on the actual day. We were a bit nervous about getting a new Maitre D' so late in the game since they make the entire show happen, but the hand off from her to Jerry was remarkably smooth and Jerry worked hard to get up to speed.
In terms of the food itself, we received nothing but compliments from our guests. Everyone was enamored with the chef’s short ribs, and he even invented several delicious customized dishes at our request (including a roasted chicken with Madeira sauce and apple/sage stuffing on the side). In addition, the bar tenders happily gave us advice on how much alcohol to order, the chef accommodated our dessert bar preferences, and the cake maker put together a lovely cutting cake that looked just like the picture we had sent her.
All in all, working with Frungillo was a wonderful experience and we highly recommend them. As an added bonus, they have a very strong relationship with the staff at our venue (the Conservatory at Sussex Fairgrounds), which made the entire process impressively seamless.
I worked from John from day 1 and he was able to walk me through the whole process of picking out our wedding menu from start to finish. Very responsive and accommodating. We had a vegan wedding which is no small feat but Frungillos pulled it off without issue. Both Jerry and Dawn were our day-of coordinators and they pulled the entire wedding off flawless. I would not hesitate to book them again.
Sooooo Accommodating !
Easy to reach.
Helpful.
Clean.
The food was fantastic, everyone was very happy with their meal. Dawn did a fabulous job keeping the day moving on time. The cake was beautiful. Highly recommend Frungillo Catering!
The maitre'd was OK, a bit disorganized throughout the entire process, but he made it all up with an amazing staff on the day of the wedding. They were so attentive and organized, and people loved the food. They had someone making sure my husband and I were fed and hydrated which was impressive. Not sure if I would deal with the maitre'd specifically, but the service was superb!
Frungillo's really helped to make our wedding day special. All of our guests were wowed by the food during cocktail hour, dinner, and dessert. They provided us with really fun options for cocktail hour and dessert. Dinner was delicious. Way above par for "wedding food." It was like we were eating at a restaurant. A week or two before the wedding, we were informed that we would have a new Maitre D', but everything went very smoothly. She and all of the staff were very attentive and made sure that my husband and I (and my parents) ate and drank enough. We could not have asked for a better experience!
From the food tasting to the day of the wedding I should’ve seen the red flags. Our cakes were missing during our food tasting. I would always be the one checking in via emails and calls or no one would contact me. I felt I constantly had to remind them of certain foods picked for our menu as well as cake flavor. Turns out the day of the wedding the one layer of cake the flavor was wrong. As well as the decoration and appearance of the cake. My bridesmaid and I had to ask for butter knives and start icing my own wedding cake!! The staff just watched us do it too. I don’t know how many emails and calls you have to make to trust that someone knows what they are doing cause clearly they still didnt after at least three emails of what flavor we wanted. What the worst part about it all was I contacted as many people as I could from Frungillos and even asked for the owner to please call me. I haven’t heard from them. The maître d’ told me at the wedding I would be refunded for the cake and yet no one will even take my calls. How someone runs a business so unprofessionally is beyond my mind and all I’m asking for is a call, explaination and refund. Before getting married I would think reading a review about something like a cake being wrong isn’t a big deal but finally going through with the whole wedding day you realize it’s the little details that create such a perfect day and the vendors we hire we are trusting to make it as special as possible. The food was good but because of this other stress they’ve caused I’ll never recommend their business to any future bride and groom. Im in the industry and how you run your company and handle customer service is what keeps your business alive and running well. It’s a shame the lack of care they clearly have for further business...
Frungillos did an amazing job at my wedding! I was so thankful we chose them! The food was fantastic and everything was cared for with great detail. Dawn was In charge of our night and it was flawless! She cared for little details and made our wedding a dream. I didn’t have to worry about anything. I was so thankful that Frungillos catered my wedding!
We were lucky enough to book Frungillo Caterers last weekend for our wedding. From start to finish, everything was perfect. The food was awesome, the staff was attentive and friendly, and Amy (our Maitre D) was beyond amazing. Everything was well coordinated and we did not have to worry about a thing all day, leaving us free to enjoy the party! We could not recommend them more!
Frungillos did a wonderful job at my daughter’s wedding up at the Sussex County Conservatory. The food was delicious and the service by Dawn and her crew was top notch. I didn’t have to worry about a thing knowing she was there overseeing the whole evening.
We had the honor of using Frugillo’s catering for our wedding this year. Amy (coordinator) is absolutely amazing! She is incredibly easy to work with and listens to every little crazy idea you might have and tries her hardest to make it happen! From the planning, to the tasting, to the day of coordination she will put your mind at ease during the stressful wedding planning process. I was able to fully enjoy every second of my wedding and the majority of that had to do with my full confidence in Amy and the Frugillo team. We had so many compliments on the food and the obvious organization that was evident in the smooth transitions between each part of our wedding day. Thank you to the Frugillo team and especially Amy for the best wedding day we could ask for!
My husband and I used Frungillo catering for our wedding at Millrace pond on 8/24/18 and they were amazing. We are still receiving compliments about how good the food was! Our Coordinator Amy was also amazing and made sure the day ran smoothly, we were comfortable and a lot of fun! Would definitely recommend them in the future!
If you're looking for catering company for your upcoming wedding, look no further. My fiance and I recently got married at the Inn at Millrace Pond and could not have asked for a better day. The food was excellent and the servers were all wonderful. Multiple guests at our wedding approached us regarding how kind and helpful all of the staff was. Our Maitre D was Amy and can I just say WOW. We truly lucked out to have such a great person be part of such a special day for us. Like any other bride, I was nervous that things may go wrong though out the day. After meeting Amy, I no longer worried. She was efficient, friendly and so helpful. In the upcoming weeks before the wedding I would send Amy multiple e-mails and she would get back to me immediately. Amy always gave me great advice but at the end of the day, always let the decision be up to me. I truly felt like Amy always had our best intentions in mind. On the day of our wedding, she was running around to make sure everything was absolutely perfect- and it was. Thank you to Amy and the entire Frungillo staff for making our day PERFECT!
My husband and I got married at the Inn at Millrace Pond in June. It was everything I could have hoped for! It was an absolutely amazing day! Amy from Frungillo did a fabulous job coordinating all the little details with me including a last minute adjustment with the table arrangements. Thanks to her help, everything ran perfectly smoothly throughout the whole wedding!
Amy Spacht and the team of Frungillo caterers were BEYOND what we could have ever expected!!! They treated us like royalty the entire night and made everything run PERFECTLY smooth. There is absolutely no way we could've been such carefree newlyweds enjoying every aspect of our wedding day without having Amy and the team there. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU Frungillo!!!!!
We were married at the James Ward Manion and unfortunately were unfortunate enough to have Frungillo's cater our wedding. The stress they caused me, made me physically ill and if it wasn’t for the fact that the deposit was non refundable and we do not have money to just throw around, I would have canceled the wedding.
When we first booked the venue, Inez was a great sales person and made me want to get married at James Ward, she seemed like such a delight and I thought that the wedding planning process would be a breeze. Turns out, she was a complete flake. She wouldn't respond to emails, she forgot our appointments and then shortly after I received and email that she was no longer going to be working there. I of course immediately started freaking out because there were certain details from our cocktail style reception that were discussed but she told me that the person I would be working with now (Edward) was fully aware of everything we discussed. This in fact, was not true.
Edward seemed like a breath of fresh air and he promised that he would take care of us. Well communication does not seem to be a strong quality of the frungillo staff. It would takes weeks to hear back from him and just as Inez did before, he would leave answers to certain questions uanswered.
For the tasting, it took ten months to finally schedule. Everything in the company kept changing, “the manager decided to now only doing tastings twice a month”, “tastings will now only be on Wednesday’s”, “we’re trying something new so your tasting is not going to be like what we previously spoke about”. Because of all of these changes and our chaotic schedule, which Edward was fully aware of, it took ten months.
When we went for the tasting, I wanted to speak to a manager, Linda came in to speak with us and charmed us as all sales people do, her offer to us for our inconvenience was an ice cream bar... she also promised that I wouldn’t have anymore problems with Edward. She was right about this for about three weeks. After our final meeting, which was about a month and a half before the wedding, it took a month for me to hear back from Edward.
The day of the wedding Edward was there at the time he promised. He tried to be as attentive as he could but it was too late and I wanted nothing to do with him. I asked my mother to keep him away from me, Kelly Ann was then assigned to be with us for the day. The only good thing I can say about frungillo is that she was absolutely amazing! When I dropped food on my dress she immediately went running to find something to clean me up and luckily kept backups because I did it a second time. During the wedding, they were severely understaffed and the staff that was on site were not friendly at all. The food was either burnt or cold, the presentation was not appealing and was in no way how I imagined it to look.
My advice, STAY AWAY FROM FRUNGILLOS
My wedding was at the Inn at Millrace Pond a little over a month ago. I gave this company three star's based upon the interaction I had with Dawn thoughout this process. Other than this, the staff worked really hard and did an amazing job thoughout the night. During the wedding process, we barely heard from Dawn, and when we did, she would call me but thinking I was another bride!!! This happend twice!!!. on the day of the wedding, we really didn't talk to her much other than her coming to tell us that the timing needed to be fixed so that they had the food ready, well I was about to walk down the isle and I'm sorry that's really not my concern at that moment in time! That's something she needed to figure out on her own and as a bride, I really don't want to hear that right before I walk in front of 120 people. I have to say, the Inn at Millrace Pond does much more work/attention in planning your wedding in a more professional way. At the end of the night, I was praising the staff at the Inn more than Frungillos.
We were so blown away by the spectacular job that all of Frungillo Catering did for our BIG day. From the planning to the day of, everything was so easy. Our coordinator, Dawn, was AMAZING. She went above and beyond for us throughout the entire day. We always had fresh food waiting for us! The whole waiting staff was absolutely phenomenal! Not only was the food amazing but the staff were some of the friendliest people! Everyone worked so hard to make our day perfect! We cannot thank you enough and we would recommend you a million times over to everyone and anyone!!

Everything tasted amazing! We personally selected Frungillo Caterers for our wedding at The Conservatory at the Sussex County Fairgrounds. John, the owner, listened to our tastes for our wedding and boy did his team deliver! Dawn, our Wedding Catering Coordinator, ensured we tasted as many of our selected hors d'oeurves during cocktail hour as we desired, always made sure we had a drink in hand, and made sure that we actually ate dinner. We couldn't be happier with our choice to go with Frungillo Caterers and our guests felt the same way. They raved about our food and liked that we were able to enjoy the food too. Go with Frungillo Caterers you will not be disappointed.
Highly unprofessional plus their service and food sucks
We are extremely happy we went with Frungillo. The staff was incredible and so fun to work with and so flexible. On the day they were professional, everything was set up and looked amazing. When it was over they cleaned up quickly and neatly. We couldn't have asked for more!
The food was nothing short of amazing!! Even before my wedding I heard, "The food there is soooo good!" Frungillo's Catering stands out. Everyone raved about the food!!!! So delish, will not disappoint! Thank you guys for making our day!!
We had our wedding at the Sussex County Conservatory, and at first we were anxious about the 3 choices of caterers that we were given, but Frungillo blew us away! We had a few changes to our coordinator through our planning time, but John Fucci (one of the owners) took it upon himself to make sure our menu planning and the schedule for the day was taken care of. Dawn was our coordinator leading up to the wedding and she was incredible!! Since quite a few of our guest were military with crazy schedules, she worked with us to make sure that we had as accurate a guest count as possible before finalizing. The staff was friendly and worked well with us the day of, they took care of setting everything up, and always made sure my husband and I had something to eat! We even got to try every single one of our hors d'oeuvres, even with us taking pictures during cocktail hour! We had a confetti cake, and it was incredible! Everyone was raving about it! I couldn't have asked for a better group of people helping to make our wedding perfect and memorable. Thank you, Frungillo!
Frungillo catered our wedding at Jack's Barn this March. They were WONDERFUL! First, the food was excellent - from the cocktail hour to the dinner buffet, the guests all complimented how tasty the food was (especially the crab cakes - YUM TOWN). They also allowed us to add a few gluten free/vegan options for the few friends we had coming that needed certain restrictions. Frungillo also helped run the event which was an incredible help as the day feels like a dream/blur! Specifically, we worked with Dawn who was amazing! She was kind, attentive, helpful, and kept us on schedule without being pushy. She also made my fiance and I a plate of appetizers to snack on while taking pictures, which was above and beyond! The service was excellent... and our semi-naked cake was a Pinterest DREAM. If you work with Frungillo, you will not be disappointed!
I recently got married at the Oakeside Mansion and had the time of my life! My husband and I had a wonderful experience all the way through the process leading up to my wedding, topped off by the incredible professionalism of our wedding coordinator Eddie. He was truly a pleasure to work with and made our special day one we will cherish. Frungillo Caterers did an amazing job on the food, our guests haven't stopped talking about it, and the cake was beautiful.
Throughout the year leading up to our wedding day we had numerous problems with our assigned wedding planner from Frungillo. He was generally non communicative, lost the information we provided him, and did not seem to know what he was doing. We were left to figure out a lot on our own. After receiving the incorrect flavor wedding cake we reached out to Robert, the owner of the company. Luckily, he was very accommodating and listened to our complaints about what went wrong on our wedding day. In the end, he offered to make us the correct wedding cake so that we could enjoy that on our first anniversary.
Frungillo Caterers manages the weddings at The Inn at Millrace Pond. Unfortunately, when I had to cancel my wedding they made the process unbearable. My contact at the Inn promptly refunded the deposit I had put down for the guest rooms. I, then, reached out to my contact at Frungillo. He informed me my cancellation must be sent via email to the owner Gerald Frungillo. It took him a week shy of two months to respond to my emails. When he finally did, it was to simply confirm he received my cancellation and not address my other questions. Most people do not go into wedding planning thinking they will have to cancel, but life happens. I would not recommend Frungillo Caterers to anyone because of this terrible experience. It is terrible that they are bringing down the reputation of the wonderful people at the actual venue.
Dealing with Michelle Frungillo at The Falls was a complete breeze. Being an event planner by trade, I had high expectations. Michelle listened to all of my requests, gave me suggestions and on the day of the event; the room was set up exactly how I wanted it. The day was perfect. I had Peter (as my bartender), Lorraine and Zach as my wait staff and they went above and above in service. Of course, the food was beyond delicious and my guests were raving about the quality of food and how delicious it all tasted. Thank you Michelle and staff for making my sister's engagement party a dream come true!
If you need someone to cater your wedding, look no further. Frungillo's Catering is absolutely the best. My husband and I got married at the Inn at Millrace Pond in Hope, NJ late October and we were absolutely amazed. The Inn works very closely with Frungillo's. But there is some stuff only the Inn handles, and other things only the caterer handles. But if we ever had a question or concern, and it wasn't something the caterers dealt with, they were able to get us in touch with the right person. At first, we signed our contract with John. He was very friendly, and was in constant communication with my husband and I. Then we were able to work with Dawn. She is absolutely the BEST! I can not say enough nice things about her. She was very attentive to my husband and I, and was also in constant communication with both of us. If there was any problems, or questions she handled it right away. And any time something needed to be changed around, she took care of it. And our wedding day was absolutely perfect and ran smoothly because of Frungillo's. Dawn also oversaw our rehearsal, and was also the maitre'd for our wedding day. Frungillo's was very hardworking, and the staff that was on site that day was very attentive to us and all of our guests. Also, Frungillo's was very accommodating to all of our guest dietary needs. We had people with allergies, and multiple guests with different specific diets, and there were options for every one without it being too overwhelming. We had a variety of food, and so much of it too. And it was honestly some of the best food I have ever had. It was all presented very elegantly too. Thank you Frungillo's! 5 out of 5! Definitely made our wedding day that much more special.
The party was incredible. The staff was super attentive and the food was fresh and tasty!
Highly recommend this company!
Frungillos Catering is 5 star with no hesitation.
My husband and I wed on October 15th 2017.
The star was Inez Recio! She was my coordinator representing Frungillos. Before I go on about her, i'll just mention that the FOOD was OUTSTANDING, the Oakeside Mansion was classic and everything you need for a rustic outdoor wedding with a tent. Each and everyone of my guests gave rave reviews about the venue and food! I was nervous about the food because tasting was not an option. Everything was delicious (from the olives to the cake) although my husband and I only had a bite here and there. The reception is for your guests and they will not be disappointed. I type no lie. THEE BEST! They also raved about my dear Inez.
Inez Recio! People have varying answers as to what is needed for the perfect day. What I can say for sure is that if I did not have Inez Recio, it would not have been perfect. She was sincerely exceptional. From the start when my husband and I first went to the Oakeside Mansion in Bloomfield NJ to view the property, we were impressed by Inezs' kindness, attentiveness, professionalism, Christ-like patience and overall presence. It was what a soon to be inexperienced bride needed. She answered all of our questions with a smile and no pressure. You're nervous about getting married and then you expect that the salespeople will pressure you. She did not. We felt like she was a part of our family and now she is. Push forward to the wedding day, she made sure that everything was in order and ON TIME (something I have always had trouble with my entire life :) ) but she handled that. There was one situation (the one thing that goes wrong) and I cried. Inez came to me (one of the many times she checked on "Her bride" throughout the day) and comforted me and also told me that she would address the matter with the vendor and she did. When the photographer and videographer began to exceed the amount of time spent with us taking pictures when the reception was scheduled to begin, they kept looking over their shoulder for Inez lol and this was because they were aware that she is a woman of order. We needed her. It amazed me that she mastered the perfect balance of kindness and strong authority. I had worries about time, the décor of the mansion, the guest arrival time, the food etc as a bride naturally would and she eased my mind each time. We felt better because of her; Inez Recio! During the reception, she checked on our family to make sure they were okay and had what they needed. We could go on and on about her but we'll say that we loved Inez Recio and are very thankful that she is a part of the Frungillo Caterers family. She was a key component for our wedding day
My husband and I were married on November 19th at Jack's Barn in Oxford, NJ. Frungillo is one of three caterers that the venue works with, and choosing to move forward was an easy decision. The night we booked the venue, John Fucci reached out immediately with a proposal. Within a short window of time, we met with John, and signed our contract. Mel was our maitre' d for the day of, and she was great from day one. She worked with us on the menu and made suggestions. As the day of approached, she went back and forth with us on email to confirm details and timelines. We threw a lot of changes at her (gluten free entrees, vegan entrees) and she adjusted accordingly. She also offered us advice on how much to tip, etc, as this was a first for both of us! On the day of, Mel and staff were super attentive. I had guests tell me how great the servers were and how quick they were to get what was asked of them. The food came out over the top amazing! I only wish we had a chance to enjoy it ;) We had chosen the s'mores bar with dessert, and were prewarned that guests don't typically take advantage of it, and we told Mel to just make sure it was set up next to the coffee and it would be used! The guests loved it! Everyone was so excited for the multiple types of marshmallows and raved about it. Needless to say, food and dessert were a hit. Major kudos to Kelsey, the baker for turning our vision into a reality with our Beauty and the Beast themed cake. Thank you again to Mel and the staff for an amazing evening!
Our 11/3 wedding reception at the Oakeside Mansion was an absolute dream come true thanks to the attentive, professional and accommodating staff at Frungillo Caterers, most especially our event planner/maitre'd, Inez Recio. Inez provided my husband and I with top quality service from start to finish. She is not only detail oriented, but makes excellent recommendations and fully thinks through the event and coordination of the day.
During the planning stage, I had quite a number of questions, and Inez was able to answer all of them quickly, alleviate any concerns that came up and make arrangements based on my needs/requirements for the reception. Every single interaction we had with Inez was handled with compassion, organization and with a smile - she is an excellent partner, and we felt so lucky to have her. Her impeccable service continued on throughout the day of the wedding, as she welcomed my guests and made everyone feel comfortable. She even made up plates for my husband and I during both the cocktail hour and the reception - something we really appreciated! She seamlessly directed the day and the waitstaff she managed were friendly, knowledgable and attentive.
The food at the Oakeside Mansion was remarkable - many of my guests commented that it was the best wedding food they've ever had. The variety and customizability that Frungillo Caterers offers is sure to meet the needs of every guest - my husband and I were really impressed! The staff served up some awesome food, that came out hot from the kitchen and arranged beautifully. These small details, along with the overall elegance of the venue really made the entire day come together beautifully. The Oakeside Mansion is the perfect venue for a couple looking for a unique wedding with great food and staff who are invested/care about the success of your event. We couldn't recommend this site or Inez more!
