Brad is a veteran musician of over 30 years and has performed with a variety of diverse groups across the country. His education includes a bachelors from Grand Valley State University, where he studied art, music and history. His mom -- also a drummer -- was the first among many to encourage Brad to pursue music. Brad has had the pleasure of providing his services to engaged couples since 2014 and, with Funkle Jesse, is excited to make your wedding day unforgettable!

Funkle Jesse was amazing! Leading up to the wedding day they were very responsive and accommodating. We chose to add classic guitar for ceremony and jazz combo for the cocktail hour, which everyone loved. For the reception they played a variety of genres and eras and sounded so good. They had the dance floor packed all night! They made the day easy and enjoyable.

Wow! Funkle Jesse knows how to get everyone out on the dance floor! We booked Funkle Jesse for our wedding simply based on reviews and recommendations and we were NOT disappointed! We cannot say enough great things about having Funkle Jesse play at our wedding. They kept the dance floor packed all night and had the best variety of music. Plus they were so easy to coordinate and work with, I knew I didn't have to worry about a thing with them. It's been about 3 months since our wedding and our friends still keep talking about how amazing the were and we couldn't agree more!

We just had our wedding last weekend, and we simply adored Funkle Jesse.. They were probably the best wedding band I've seen, and they were at my wedding, which is kind of ideal. The entire process was seamless, as Brad was incredibly easy to work with. When it was time for him to announce us, he was so personable and professional, and talked us through what he was going to do. Made it so easy.. The talent these folks have is unbelievable. The music was incredible, and we received a TON of compliments from our guests. We could not have asked for anything more from this talented group. If you are wondering whether you should have them play at your wedding, I'll make it easy for you.. yes.

If you can do one thing right for your wedding you will book this band!!! They not only are incredible humans but are wicked talented, so professional, super rad, and just the fun jamming blast everyone needs. We had our wedding at my grandmothers house on lake Macatawa and I am still wishing the deck had cracked because we were dancing so hard to this perfect group. They were super easy going and made the two of us feel incredibly special the entire night. Our dance floor was truly never empty and the following day family were asking about booking them for the next big shindig. FUNKLEJESSE FOREVER!

If you are looking for a band for your wedding look no further. Funkle Jesse was absolutely amazing. Throughout the whole planning process they were responsive and answered all of our questions. They made it so easy to work with them! For the actual wedding they were outstanding. They kept the energy up and really captivated the crowd. Their song selections were on point. I was also very impressed that our venue (Amway Grand Plaza) also raved about them and how professional they were and how easy they were to partner with. They made the night absolutely perfect!!!!

Pick Funkle Jesse for your wedding! Oh my goodness - the best decision we made. Brad was so incredibly helpful planning the best music for the day! We asked the band to learn our song and, when I tell you, my heart exploded when they sang it - it was amazing, memorable, perfection, and had all the guests in awe. The decision we made to book Funkle Jesse as our wedding band was an absolute game changer. They were fantastic. From managing the music during our ceremony and bridal party entrances, to keeping the party on the dance floor all night long - they just do it all, and do it well. Not only was their set list great, but they were flexible with mixing in many of our recorded song favorites and requests too. Our friends and family were truly blown away with the experience this band helped create. We felt lucky to have had the opportunity to book them. Good people, great music and even better memories made. Better book them while you have the chance!

I saw Funkle Jesse perform a few times around Holland and Saugatuck and knew I needed them for my wedding. They did SUCH a good job. My dance floor was packed the entire night and dozens of my guests commented that it was the best music they have ever seen at a wedding. When the lead singer pulled out a harmonica and absolutely killed it, I almost fainted. The guitarist also performed music for the ceremony and at the cocktail hour and did a great job. The drummer Brad coordinates their shows and was super responsive, organized and easy to work with. I can't recommend Funkle Jesse enough.

We booked Funkle Jesse for our 8/7/21 wedding and it was one of the best decisions we made for our special day! Leading up to the wedding, Brad was helpful and responsive whenever we needed anything. They did a beautiful job playing at our ceremony with the music we specially requested. Then, they blew us away and tore the house down at our reception. We got so many compliments and it meant so much to us to see our dance floor full. They were essential in running a smooth event and we couldn’t have done it without their expertise and talent. After 8 years of dating, I had only danced with my now husband once. Funkle Jesse performed with so much energy that I was able to get my husband on the dance floor multiple times. They were so through and kind throughout the planning process. They were reliable and timely the day of the wedding. There's no one who could have done it better than Funkle Jesse!

This band ROCKS! We met Funkle Jesse at our friend’s wedding in 2019 & the second Zach & I got engaged, we knew the first vendor we wanted to book was Funkle Jesse. Brad & his team are incredible to work with. They make the process stress free & exciting. They are extremely talented too! We have been big fans of Funkle Jesse over the last few years watching them perform at local restaurants. As soon as we got engaged, we reached out to them. They exceeded all of our expectations and Brad was so easy to communicate with in the wedding planning process. They sang 3 of our first dances live (HIGHLY RECOMMEND) and kept the party going all night. Such a fun time was had by all! Even two of our friends have booked them for their wedding! We heard Funkle Jesse a year before our wedding at a bar in Muskegon. Lauren's voice gave me the goosebumps and my husband and I danced the entire night. Needless to say the next day I reached out to book them for our wedding. They were the first item we booked and throughout covid we just wanted to ensure the band wpuld be abls to play at our wedding. Our family and friends loved them so much and said they have never been to a better wedding where the entire guest list danced the whole night! They are amazing....you'd be missing out if you didn't book them.

Funkle Jesse was everything we could have asked for and more in a wedding band! From the initial contact, it was obvious that they were passionate about providing the best possible experience for their customers. They answered questions in a thorough and timely manner. On the night of our wedding they were out of this world! I can’t even count the number of people who reached out to us about how amazing the band was. My aunt said the next time they played in town she would be coming back to town to go see them! My husband and I also saw them recently at the start of our delayed honeymoon and they dedicated a song to us during their show! We love Funkle Jesse and feel like they have become more than just our wedding band, but our friends!

I could not recommend this band enough! They were amazing and far exceeded expectations! Not only was the music and singing so fun and beautiful, they provided a great atmosphere, had awesome communication and were so helpful when coordinating/changing plans due to Covid. We had never heard them perform in person prior to hiring them but we were blown away by their talent! We, and our guests all agreed, we have never heard a better band perform at a wedding!

Funkle Jesse was one of the big highlights of our special night. The band was excellent and kept everyone on the dance floor all night. My wife and I can't imagine booking another band for our wedding. All the band members were great as well and made sure everything was going well. My partner and I contacted Funkle Jesse for our 2019 Solstice Wedding after being extremely impressed with them at my sister's 2015 wedding. They came out to Muskegon to meet with us during our planning process, and handled everything smoothly from there. We felt really comfortable with their music choices at our queer wedding, and they also learned a few songs that are dear to us but not exactly top hits. Had so much fun and couldn't recommend them more! Very reasonable rates and totally worth the price -- wayyyyy better than a DJ and great dance music.

My husband and I hired Funkle Jesse for our special day. It would be an understatement to say they made the day. They were beyond accommodating.. They learned 3 songs for our wedding. For example, one dance was “brown eyed girl” but I had them say “blue eyed girl” from van Morrison. When we reflect on our wedding with our friends and family, Funkle Jesse is the biggest highlight.

My assistant and I ran a photo booth for a wedding and we couldn't get over how awesome this band was. They hit the notes spot on. We kept forgetting that it was a cover band and not a recording they were just that good! I really hope to see them in person again and not just at the vendor's table ;)

If you want all your guests to have the best night, please hire them. Not only were they awesome the day of our wedding, Brad was so helpful before as well. Funkle Jesse was so great to work with for our wedding! I never worried if I something was going to be missed. Brad was super easy to get ahold of and patient with me. He took all of my requests into consideration and all of our favorite songs to play. We had the wedding where everyone was chanting “One more song!” No one wanted it to end. They also played the perfect song to end the night, which resulted in a a circle being formed around my husband and I. That was one of the best moments of my wedding and to top it off Lauren recorded some of it! Our video guy had already gone home and so I am forever grateful. Advice to future brides, go with the vendors that care and go the extra mile, it makes your day that much better! Thanks for making our day so great!

Funkle Jesse is an absolute amazing wedding band. They bring such high energy and extraordinary talent. I mean, they played Lizzo for goodness sakes. They know it all, and if not, they will definitely take the time to learn songs especially for your occasion. 10/10 would recommend them for not only weddings, but any sort of function that needs high energy entertainment.

I cannot rave enough about Funkle Jesse! They were amazing and made my wedding so much fun! I first saw Funkle Jesse play over a year ago at an event at the Zoo of all places and I asked them if they did weddings, and immediately booked them! Afterwards, I saw them play a few times in the Grand Rapids area and again at a bar in Mackinac Island when I happened to be there! They are the best and I'll continue to follow and support them. Brad, the band leader was easy to communicate with leading up to the event, and lead singer Hannah is just amazing. Thanks Funkle Jesse, for making my wedding recepetion a party, you guys rock!
