We are so happy that we went with Funktastic for our music! We went with the hybrid DJ and everyone had a great time! Aaron and the sax and drums did a great job keeping people on the dancefloor for the entire night! It was such a great experience for everyone we could not be happier with how the night turned out!

We worked with Mike in the beginning of our DJ process. He was so receptive and helpful throughout the whole planning process. We then got ur MC Robby who was amazing. Making the playlists were super easy and all the songs we wanted were played- we even hired the saxophonists which our guests LOVED!

Funktastic is INCREDIBLE! Not only are they incredible musicians, singers, and artists; they're all friends and the energy between is palpable and warm! They're an incredible team, and we were so lucky to have them play at our wedding this September. I would recommend them 100x over!

Funktastic were amazing! It’s been a month since our wedding and people are still complimenting them. They are top notch musicians of course, but what my bride and I were really impressed by was their impeccable professionalism throughout the entire process. Simply said, they are remarkably easy to work with. From the moment you begin working with them, it’s clear they want to make your day special. They provide you with an exhaustive song list for you to choose from, and on top of that they actively encourage you to pick songs for them to learn for you. So back to their musicianship, all I can say is “wow”! While we had a relatively small wedding, Funktastic made it feel like it was a full on dance party! So no matter what size your wedding is, Funktastic will supersede all of your expectations. Bonus tip: we got their jazz trio offering for our cocktail hour and they were amazing for that as well. Well worth it if you’re considering live music for that part of your wedding.

We cannot say enough positive things about Funktastic. We hired them for our wedding in July and so many of our guests have said that they were the best wedding band they have ever experienced. They are real musicians with an incredible range of talent. We worked with Alysha who was absolutely lovely in the preparations and has the most incredible voice. They kept the party going all night, played a wide range of songs and were so much fun. Hands down the best vendors we hired, cannot recommend them enough!

In all of the decisions that were made in order for us to have as great of a wedding weekend that we had, choosing Funktastic for our band was right up at the top. The first conversation we had with Mike was incredibly positive as he shared the band's background, capabilities, and we knew we would be in good hands with them. They're an incredibly creative and thoughtful group of people, being able to read the room and make changes on the fly and also knowing how to work the crowd and get people excited without being gimmicky or heavy-handed. They're far more than just a wedding band and after getting to know a few members, we're excited to follow their musical projects in Chicago. Thank all of you for the energy you put into our wedding night, you were one of the biggest highlights and our guests are still telling us how great you sounded!

I can’t say enough about our experience with Mike and Funktastic. We recently had them play at our daughter’s wedding in Lake Geneva. From the beginning Mike was extremely easy to work with. He understands how stressful the planning of a wedding can be. He is positive, responsive and accommodating. We were able to pick the songs we wanted and approve the set list before the event. They were also willing to learn several songs they didn’t know.. Then came the wedding night. The band stepped up to another level. Their playing and musicianship were fantastic. We had a big dancing group and Funktastic delivered all night long. The dance floor was full start to finish. We would not hesitate to hire them again. I only gave a 5 star rating because I couldn’t give more. P.S. we also had them supply a Photo Booth for the guests and was surprised and pleased at how much it was used and enjoyed.

Funktastic truly made our wedding. All of our guests were on the dance floor from the minute it opened until the night ended and that was all due to Funktastic and their amazing team! The lead singer for our wedding was LaShera and she was absolutely incredible and so talented. We loved how interactive she was with our guests and how much of a positive energy she brought! We cannot recommend Funktastic more!

To say Funktastic lived up to their name of being fantastic would be the understatement of the century and anyone considering them for their wedding band should just stop researching and hire them on the spot. They were truly an amazing band and made our entire wedding experience unreal. From the start, working with Mike was amazing as he was so helpful in helping coordinate all of our details. As we got closer to the event, we couldn't say enough good things about Amber who helped handle all logistics and worked with us on our set list. Finally, and most importantly, day of they were truly magical on stage, and brought unbelievable engagement and energy throughout the entire night! We had the honor of having LaShera as our main host, and it truly felt like a concert more than a wedding band. I can't say enough great things about them and truly if you're considering them for any event, just do yourself a favor and hire them right now!

Where to begin, funktastic was by far the best decision we made while wedding planning. Amber was so wonderful to work with while planning everything with the wedding. We had numerous zoom check ins prior to the big day where she answered all our questions and helped us walk through the set list and day of logistics. They made it all so easy. They absolutely go above and beyond (Amber even went to our venue a few weeks prior to make sure they’d have all the power hookups they would need). We were able to pick our own set list from there enormous library of songs and even added in a few songs that they learned for us. Day of, the entire band absolutely ROCKED! We could not have asked for anything better. They made the day run so smoothly. We had the solo guitarist play for our ceremony who was incredible. They set up all the microphone and sound systems for the ceremony which worked perfectly even though we had a large outdoor wedding and it was quite windy. We had the jazz trio play during cocktail hour which we got so many compliments on and it really set the ambiance for our outdoor cocktail hour. Amber, the MC and lead singer, did an incredible job with all the wedding party entrances, speech announcement and first dances. We had the band play our first dance and it was the best decision ever. The Amber, HG, and the entire band kept the dance floor PACKED all night and their energy was unmatched. HG’s voice in Tennessee Whiskey was stunning. Overall, if you’re reading this, book them right now!

All I can say is WOW! All of our guests agreed that Funktastic was one of their favorite parts of our wedding. From the very start, Mike wanted to make our special day extra special. The dance floor on the night of the wedding was PACKED! The rap song mashup that funktastic was nothing I’ve ever heard of at a wedding and our guests LOVED it. If you want a band that is not just going to play ordinary wedding band music, then I highly recommend going with Funktastc- they are worth every penny and more. Funktastic did an INCREDIBLE job playing at our wedding!! The band took our list of favorites and made an amazing set list that kept everyone on the dance floor all night long and felt like a real show. Alysha was our main point of contact, lead singer, and emcee for the night. She kept the energy high and things moving all night long. Funktastic was a huge highlight of our wedding! We had been to a few weddings where Funktastic was the band and we were so excited to hire them for ours! We had Funktastic re create a cover we heard for our First Dance song and they absolutely nailed it! We loved working with Funktastic! They were able to work within our budget and create a package for us to have a string duo during our cocktail hour, as well as a MC/DJ for our reception. We wanted a variety of cultural songs played from different parts of the world, but DJ Drew was up to the task and the dance floor was packed all night long.

It’s been 2 months since my wedding and I still have no words… Funktastic is by far the best wedding band I’ve ever heard (and yes, I’m biased so take it from the nearly 30 guests that told us the same)! Mike was so fantastic to work with, answering all of my many questions and putting me at ease. Amber was so incredibly organized and beyond helpful in working with us to create the perfect setlist. And now the band… while I was referred to Funktastic by some friends and coworkers, the thing that really sold me was the energy that the band brings, the band members’ MANY masters degrees in jazz (like what, music theory is so hard!!), and their insane ability to captivate an audience with their talent. Our singers were some of the best that I’ve ever seen, putting in these incredible riffs and belts that is practically unfathomable. Our band members were so in sync, vibing off of each other and putting a unique spin on every song. Needless to say, if I have any excuse to book a band for an event, I will 100% come back to Funktastic. Mike, Amber, and the entire band - thank you so much for making our music vision come to life! I would recommend anyone to Funktastic! We had booked them based on their kickoff reception + DJ service (great package) and cocktail hour jazz duo offerings. Then saw them perform at the Bassment with some friends - we were Wowed! The energy was electric. Mike, Amber and Drew were super easy to communicate and plan with. We felt 100% prepared going into our wedding day, weeks before the day. They have great tools to select music from - Amber was super helpful in creating a set list that met our vibe, and Drew tackled the cocktail, dinner and late night dancing sets with all our mixed genre requests with ease. Your music selection can make or break your wedding day - Funktastic will always make your day what you've been dreaming of!

I am SO glad we went with Funktastic for our entertainment! The lead singer of the band, Alysha, was so so talented. Guests were telling us how much they loved the band the whole night and are still asking us about them. The photobooth was also a huge hit. Everyone we worked with at Funktastic was super professional and helped us get exactly what we wanted for the night. It was also super helpful that they came up with designs for the photo booth frames.

We used funktastic for our wedding’s music and photobooth & we could not have been happier! From the cocktail jazz duo to the live Hybrid DJ - (DJ Servaun was amazing!!), we 100% recommend using Funktastic. They were organized and accommodating with great communication from day 1.

Absolutely Perfect!!! Funktastic was incredible to work with from the very beginning. Mike and Amber took a genuine interest in what sort of music and vibe we wanted for the wedding. The band has a big and varied catalogue of songs to choose from and are more than willing to learn songs outside of that. They played all our first songs and many of the requests we had for the setlist. These guys are true musicians dedicated to what they do, nothing was sloppy or low effort. We had a small electrical issue with the venue during the wedding, but the band rolled with the punches and found a solution while keeping the crowd hyped up. Everyone said the band was the best part. I truly cannot imagine our wedding with a different band. Amber was also the MC all night and brought the energy and good vibes. I play guitar and when we booked them a year before the wedding, Funktastic offered to have me play on stage with them. At the time I chickened out but decided to do it a week before and it went perfectly despite the limited time. They were so accommodating and helped me a achieve another dream of playing live music! Totally epic, I would recommend this band to anyone for any event. Ill be racking my brain for an excuse to book them again!

They delivered a truly - truly - seamless experience throughout the entire evening. They provided the A/V for the pre-ceremony, ceremony, cocktail hour, speeches, and dinner; they guided us in selecting music and creating playlists for every segment of the evening; they blessed the dance floor with their musicality (throughout the night, multiple guests told us that they felt like they were at an actual concert); their repertoire is unparalleled; and their DJ hosted an incredible afterparty, one that was memorable to all of our guests: even the ones whose memories were otherwise suspect by that point. OMG!!!! BOOK THIS BAND! Funktastic was amazing. A truly wonderful end to end experience. I knew from reviews they would be great, but my jaw truly dropped when I heard them play on our wedding day. It will be the best decision you’ve made in a long time… We were an extremely high maintenance couple, from bizarre off-catalog song requests to last second setlist changes - not to mention a delayed start time due to unforeseen circumstances. Mike, Alysha and the crew didn’t flinch, and then proceeded to put on an absolute banger of a show. The band / live entertainment is a pivotal part of any great wedding and can’t be left up to chance. Trust the bonafide professionals that are the Funktastics, and their groovy music mojo.

TLDR: Funktastic Productions made the best day of our lives even better with their stellar professionalism, energy, and talent. YOU WON'T REGRET BOOKING THIS BAND - THEY ARE ELECTRIC! Now for a more wordy review... We wish we could give more than 5 stars to Funktastic... they are amazing not just as a band/production company but as individual human beings. Music was the #1 thing for us as a couple, and Funktastic did not disappoint. We got the best experience imaginable from the get go - starting with the intro call and booking process with Mike. Hearing Mike speak with both professionalism and passion on behalf of himself and the rest of the band made us confident that they would bring the exactly right energy we were looking for on our wedding day. The portal they use for planning and communication (Releventful) streamlined all the logistics and was by far the easiest and most fun part of wedding planning. We felt like they were listening to our wants and allowing us to collaborate. Our set list felt like "us" without sacrificing their integrity as musicians which made it feel like a win-win. With their expansive repertoire, we guarantee you won't be disappointed by your options - both the range this band has AND their willingness to customize the performance to the couple as much as they can makes us (a Deadhead and a Swiftie, respectively) certain that all couples will be as satisfied with their set-list as we were no matter how much their music taste may differ from ours. Strategy/lead up communication with our music coordinator Alysha was a breeze - she was a blast to work with. Not only was she extremely professional and fun to chat with, but the sense of ease she brought to the planning/lead-up was so contagious that it made any hint of stress instantly dissipate. That said, Alysha was extremely warm, kind and BEYOND talented, and that goes for the rest of the bandmates - by the end of the evening, each of them felt like guests who just happened to also be performing that night. The day-of set up and communication went by without a hitch. By the time we arrived with the wedding party the audio equipment for both the ceremony and reception were set up and the audio engineer was on top of everything. Alysha was also our emcee of the night and her charisma shone through and made the transitions/announcements through the night feel so easy going for our guests while still moving things along to stay on track with our timeline. And finally, the performance... we know it may sound biased when we say it was the best wedding music we've ever heard...but even if it wasn't our wedding we're confident that fact would hold true. From the first note, the band was absolutely electric. They were in sync with one another while also fostering connection with our guests through their audience interactions - the dance floor was packed the entire night. About three weeks have passed since our wedding and every guest we've spoken to afterwards has had nothing but incredible things to say about the band. Our set list was absolute fire and the band did a stellar job at our requested songs. Guests won't stop talking about the band. They also did a great job MC'ing the entire wedding evening. Amber, Mike, and Funktastic was INCREDIBLE. My husband and I cannot recommend them more. During the planning process, they were extremely communicative and flexible. There were a lot of moving parts at our wedding, as our ceremony, dinner, and reception were all in different locations at the venue. Mike and Amber problem solved and came up with solutions that allowed full sound set up in all areas. Mike and Amber collaborated with our musician friends and provided sound set up and instrumental support during our ceremony and first dance. THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT PIECES and we will never forget these moments. They have a huge repertoire but also took song requests that they've never performed before and absolutely rocked them!! We were really specific with out vision for the day, and they understood it and helped us bring it to fruition. They were super interactive with our guests and everyone is still raving about them a month after our wedding! If you are looking for an epic band for your wedding or party, look no more. Funktastic is a fabulous group to work with. They are very communicative and easy to schedule meetings with. We had the option of choosing songs ourselves or having the band choose and they were willing to learn new pieces for us as well. At the wedding they were amazing. They sounded great and looked like they were having a lot of fun. Even when no one was on the dance floor because they were exploring the museum Funktastic maintained the same level of energy and all in all were great. Highly recommend!

We couldn't be happier with Funktastic! Alysha and the rest of the band really cared about making our wedding special and were more than happy to accommodate our music preferences and special requests. We got so many compliments from our guests about how electric the band was and how they kept the dance floor packed all night. Funktastic was the easiest and best decision we made for our wedding! The minute I came across their website I knew we had to book them-- we locked down a date before we even had a venue! We ended up choosing the jazz trio for cocktail hour and the 6-piece band for dancing. My husband and I are firm believers that music is key for setting the atmosphere of a wedding, and Funktastic really brings the energy. Their set list is so diverse, it is guaranteed to have everyone out on the dance floor-- from my 90 year-old grandmother to my college-age cousin, everyone loved them! They crafted the perfect mix of tried and true wedding favorites (everyone needs to play some Temptations or Earth, Wind & Fire after all) while also adding in unexpected hits that got everyone out on the dance floor. Not only do they exceed expectations on the big day, they make the planning process simple and enjoyable. We loved building our set list and having the freedom to request additional songs for our first dance & a few others that were special to us. They were quick to respond to questions and provided helpful suggestions on things such as timeline, potential playlist options for dinner & band breaks etc. As someone who did not have a wedding planner, having such a smooth, streamlined process with a vendor took SO much stress off my plate and allowed me to truly enjoy that part of the planning experience. We cannot say enough about their team!

Funktastic MADE our wedding! We knew we wanted to work with them after seeing them perform previously, and we actually planned our event around their availability. I HIGHLY recommend Funktastic in any form. We went all out with a 13 piece band, and it was worth every penny. Working with Michael and the band was SO easy, and they were incredibly kind, patient, flexible, and professional while we took our time deciding our setlist. Even though about a month has passed, people are STILL coming up to us and complimenting the band! They did an amazing job reading the room and knowing how to keep the dance floor packed the entire night. They were able to play a wide variety of music ranging from Bruce Springsteen to the Hora to Florence and the Machine. I couldn't have asked for a better group of people to be a part of our special day. Thank you!

We absolutely loved having Funktastik as our wedding band. Mike and his team are incredible. We elected to also have the band play during our ceremony and we are so glad we did because was perfect. Prior to the wedding, the band was very quick to respond and made creating our set list a breeze. Amber, the lead singer and MC, was truly phenomenal. Numerous of my guests told me that Funktastic was their favorite part of the night and the reason the dance floor was so fun. Likewise, our guests absolutely loved the photo booth and the photo book is something we will treasure forever. We highly recommended Funktastic as a wedding band! You won’t be disappointed.

We could not have been happier with our experience working with Funktastic Productions for our wedding! Mike (the owner) was very kind and helpful as we were going through the selection process, taking us through all the options and and making our decision to go with them very easy. We ended up deciding to hire a DJ and accompanying violinist, and can't recommend them highly enough! Our DJ, Drew, was super awesome to work with and always very positive and calm, a huge plus during the lead up to and during a very stressful day. He did an absolutely incredible job working off of our playlists for both dinner and the Reception, mixing in some classics into our Reception and always knowing what to play to keep people dancing! He was excellent at working on timing with our coordinator, and helping to space things out even when we ran late and our timeline was off. Additionally, everyone LOVED having the violinist accompanying the DJ and can't recommend that live music element enough! Overall, we loved our experience working with Funktastic and highly recommend working with them for your event - they provide plenty of options for bands and DJs and can definitely find the perfect mix for you and your event!

Drew & his team were absolutely amazing for our wedding. 10/10. DJ + Drums + Saxophone = nonstop dancing and fun. Having live instruments added so much energy, we would still be dancing if they kept playing. Plus, in the Chicago-land area, these are the only guys that regularly do DJ + instruments, and they do it perfectly. Best party ever, can't wait for my second marriage so I can hire them again...

Finding a fun wedding band was our number 1 priority for us because we love to dance! We found funktastic on instagram and then saw them at the Bassment as soon as we could. The energy, range of music genre, camaraderie on stage and most importantly the talent blew us away! We contacted mike then next day and the rest is history! Mike and Alysha were both such a pleasure to work with- friendly, professional and understanding. They blew our expectations out of the water and would recommend funktastic to anybody who likes to have a good time! Some of our highlights include the custom Beyoncé medleys, flawless execution of our requested playlist and interaction with wedding guests/the dance floor on stage. Additionally, we are so grateful that alysha also MC’ed the wedding- she brought the crowds energy for us during dances, speeches and our entrance! Highly recommend getting a stage, the lights and adding on a DJ if it’s in your budget! We did a DJ cocktail hour that made the space feel lively!

This band was absolutely incredible and worth every dime we paid! We are still receiving such wonderful compliments from all of our guests, and they were awesome with all of our flower girls and ring bearers!

We had an amazing wedding with Funktastic at the helm for our music on our big day. We had a perfect jazz trio during cocktail hour led by Amber and she also kicked off the dance floor with the 5 piece band to get everyone dancing. She can SING!! Then DJ Servaun took over for the rest of the night and kept the good tunes going and the dance floor flowing! All of the music, from the live band to the DJ hits were fantastic and kept the dance floor busy all night. Having a fun dance floor was priority #1 for us for our wedding day, and Funktastic delivered on our dream. Funktastic was also great throughout all of the planning stages, song selections, timeline planning, and MC'ing. We love music and it was important to us to have some live music at our wedding and with Funktastic offering the option of 1/2 Live music 1/2 DJ was a perfect for our budget and fulfilled our dreams for our wedding day. Funktastic was the best addition to our wedding! They are reliable, professional, and know how to transform the room into a party! They were by far the highlight of our wedding. Through the wedding planning process, they were a blast to collaborate with and curate a preferred playlist. They learned 7 new songs and even customized lyrics for our wedding day! I could not recommend Funktastic more! We had them play during our ceremony, a jazz trio for cocktail hour, and the full band for our reception. Booking with Funktastic was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Having live music was something my husband and I had always wanted for our wedding, but weren’t sure if we could make it work. Funktastic offered something something we hadn’t heard of before - a kick off band for an hour followed by dj-ing for the rest of the night. It made our dream of having live music come true while staying within our budget. I am being 100% honest when I say the thing that got the most compliments at our wedding was the music. I truly could not believe such a talented group of individuals performed at our wedding. Amber was such a sweetheart with the voice of an angel. Drew was also a super fun DJ and served as the perfect MC for the night. The other musicians, along with Mike the owner, were just incredible. As a whole, they made our reception come to life. Not only did they give us an unforgettable performance, Funktastic truly was a dream to work with. I cannot emphasize enough how easy it was to work with each and every one of them. They were not only incredibly flexible when we had some last minute requests, but we completely trusted them to play their own recommendations to ensure the everyone was having a good time. It was a party we’ll never forget and we are so honored this talented group of musicians were a part of it.

I can't overstate how incredible it was to work with Funktastic and how amazing the performance was at my wedding. Firstly, when my wife and I were looking for bands, Funktastic was by far the most responsive and helpful group in terms of answering questions and providing recommendations. They were also nice enough to invite us to a live performance of theirs which put them over the top and led us to signing with them. Throughout the process, Funktastic was communicative and flexible to our needs and requests, and totally knocked it out of the park. The ceremony and reception couldn't have gone smoother and the feedback about the performance has been amazing, it truly made our wedding! Funktastic is supremely talented and I'm so grateful we chose them to be our wedding band!

We cannot recommend Funktastic enough!! If you are a couple that can’t make a decision between a band or DJ, look no further, Funktastic does it all. We had a hybrid package: two musicians for the ceremony, a trio for cocktail, a full band for dancing, then a DJ and sax to conclude the night. To quote one of our friends, “I didn’t want to leave the dance floor because I was afraid to miss a banger!” We have been sending Funktastic’s information to all of our family and friends after their incredible performance at our wedding - the dance floor did not empty ONCE. They were extremely communicative and helpful throughout the process, making it seamless beginning to end. We appreciate Funktastic and are SO happy with our decision to use them for our wedding!!!

It took me a while to write this review because I wanted to give justice to Funktastic and their incredible team. I reached out to MANY bands and DJs. I’m a semi-professional musician and music was the most important aspect of my wedding. I grappled with deciding whether I wanted a band or DJ. I love live bands, but sometimes I think bands can be limited in what songs they can perform (over produced pop, for instance). I also love good DJs, but believe a band brings a personalized and more exciting feel to weddings. When I saw that Funktastic offered a hybrid option I was intrigued. I ended up finding a singer I absolutely loved on their instagram page, and asked if he could be the singer at my wedding (Lester). I ended up choosing the package which included a ceremony DJ, trio band for cocktail hour, 4 piece band for dinner, the band to play the special dance songs, and a one hour set for the reception. After that, a DJ would take over for the rest of the night. First— ceremony. DJ Drew was seamless. Not one blip. He communicated with my coordinator throughout to make sure they were ready to execute. He assured me he would get the timing right for the songs and he did. The sound level of the music was perfect. The band KILLED IT. The dinner portion of the night was instantly elevated by having the live band play. My 83 year old father even commented on how the band made dinner so much more fun and interesting. At one point, the band performed “stand by me” and they got everyone to sing together. Lester was such an incredibly soulful singer. The drummer, bassist, and keyboard player were PROS. People were shaking their heads in disbelief when Lester would hit a run or when the instrumentalists would solo. Cocktail hour was incredible too. The band took my song requests very seriously and knew I wanted a more modern vibe and less jazz. After dinner the band played the first dance song and the parent dances. They crushed it. They played our first dance song perfectly and we were able to do our choreographed dance with no problem. They played “mama” by boys ii men for my daughter mother dance and there was not a dry eye in the room. It gave me chills. The 1 hour warm up set the band played for the reception was again, incredible. People were immediately on the floor dancing their asses off. Not a moment went by where the dance floor was not full. Now, the DJ (Drew) was equally as incredible. We put together playlists using Funktastic’s app, and while he played what we put on the list, he knew how to read the crowd and play to what people wanted. He kept the party going until MIDNIGHT. Everyone of all ages was dancing, and not many people left early. Finally, mike, the owner of funktastic was involved throughout the process. He answered all of my questions and listened to my concerns. Amber was my liaison to the band. Again, she made me feel confident that the band would crush and helped me create a set list that kept the energy going. I even sang two songs with the band and she helped me choose the songs. I emailed her so much, and she was always kind and professional. We didn’t rehearse the songs together, but of course, the band was comprised of pro instrumentalists that made me feel like I was part of the band. We sounded tight and my guests loved it 😂 Funktastic single handedly MADE my wedding what it was. I would have 100% regretted not having a band and a DJ at my wedding. It was more than I could ever ask for. The BEST.

Funktastic is the best wedding band!! Every guest has commented on how the band made the wedding!! We were so lucky to work with them and for them to make our special day absolutely incredible! Funktastic worked with us from start to finish to curate the perfect set list and even learned some special songs for us! It was also amazing to be able to choose exactly the band combo we wanted and the horn section was icing on an unbelievable cake!

Funktastic is a MUST-HAVE for your wedding. We absolutely loved working with them every step of the way and they made the entire process easy. We did an East-Coast format and they crushed it. From song selection, personally getting to know us as a couple, and their unbelievable talent/energy-this was a no-brainer. We cannot tell you how many of our friends and family RAVED about the music. They can play it all, from Motown to Rock. Alysha and the 9-piece band kept us dancing, and danced with us, until 12:30 am. We would have gone longer if we could have. We also really enjoyed the photo booth add-on offered, which we turned into our guest book. The pictures are awesome. We cannot thank them enough for the party of a lifetime! The entire Funktastic team was great to work with - from the planning stages to the day of! Aaron brought great energy as a DJ/MC and the musicians were super talented and fun. Highly recommend the DJ/band hybrid.

We saw Funktastic live at a Chicago venue, knew we needed them for our wedding, and it was one of the best decisions we made. They helped make our night memorable with a packed dance floor, our guests raved about the music afterwards, and they even had people in the street hanging around to listen and dance outside the venue. We asked for an unconventional first dance song and we liked their cover better than the original.

Funktastic is hands down the best wedding band I have ever seen perform. A friend of mine had hired them for their wedding and after that we were sold. I reached out to Mike to see if they would be able to travel to Grand Rapids, Michigan and without hesitation he said yes. Alysha was amazing to work with from start to finish and their app to choose songs is very user friendly. 1000% best decision we could have made. Our guests are still talking about it. I can not wait to see them again at my brothers wedding in a few weeks!

Being musicians ourselves, having live music at our wedding last June was a definite priority for us. Choosing Funktastic to play our reception was the absolute best choice! A truly talented, fun, and energetic Chicago group. Their professionalism, flexibility and knack for keeping everyone out on the dance floor is what sets them apart from the rest. We didn’t want their music set to end! You truly can’t go wrong with Funktastic!

We were so lucky to have Funktastic play our wedding this past October. I cannot emphasize enough how easy they were to work with and how accommodating they were, especially with learning our song requests. They blew our wedding song from Gary Clark Jr out of the water. I had multiple people come up to me during the wedding and after to tell me just how incredible our band was and that they felt like they were at a concert since they didn't sound like a wedding band at all. I cannot recommend Funktastic enough for a wedding, especially if you want great music to be the center of it.

Funktastic is a fantastic wedding band. They are so talented. We worked together to create a set list tailored to our taste. Mike Zabrin was responsive and eager to help any way he could. We also had a guitar for our ceremony that was perfect and a jazz trio for the cocktail hour that everyone enjoyed! My only regret is not paying the venue for an extra hour to hear them play longer! I highly recommend Funktastic.

Saw a version of this band playing at a bar in Chicago and loved them - decided to hire them for our wedding. The onboarding process was easy and transparent - as they have a number of different options to select from (how large of a band, jazz trio for cocktail hour, etc.) The band was willing to do check in calls leading up to the event and have an extensive song list from which to choose from covering a number of different genres to fit whatever wedding vibe you're looking to create. They also take a number of special requests and play live music for the first dances! There was a sound engineer included all evening who assisted with ceremony music setup and consistently checking balance/levels of the band throughout the evening - he was excellent. The lead singer also MC-ed a portion of our wedding event (intros, speeches, etc.) and did a fantastic job. The musicians were absolutely outstanding - the biggest factor that separates this group from other wedding bands I've seen. The dance floor was full all night and had countless compliments from guests. With all the vendors to juggle for a wedding it can be stressful so in addition to the music being amazing, the professionalism of Funktastic was much appreciated and was a vendor we did not have to worry about through the wedding planning process - even when one of their members got sick a few days before, they had a replacement ready to go. As a former drummer they let me sit in for a song which was a memorable experience as well. Could not recommend this group more if you're looking for some outstanding music for your wedding.

Funktastic was the best decision we could have made for our wedding. The biggest thing that I wanted in terms of wedding music was for it to have variety and to not be the same 20 songs you hear at every wedding you go to. Funktastic did this and more! We had the Jazz trio during cocktail hour, the quartet during dinner and dancing for the rest of the night. Every part was unique and beautiful in their own way. They are truly some of the most talented musicians but more importantly, they are FUN! Our guest are still talking about how much they loved Funktastic and are talking about going to the Bassment Chicago to see them again. Mike was amazing from the first day and put me at ease through all the stress of planning. Alysha helped make a great playlist was unique to us and incorporated some of our favorite songs. You could tell that they put time and effort in to playing the music we cared about and I could not ask for anything more. Thank you so much Mike, Alysha, and all of Funktastic for helping to make our wedding everything we thought it would be.

The band could not have made our wedding more fun! They were engaging with the crowd all while keeping the music coming. Could not recommend this group more as we did to so many of our friends who were asking for their contact information after the wedding! Thank you all for a great night!

Please book this band. This group caught our eyes back in 2019 and we were immediately hooked. When we got engaged in 2021 the first vendor we called was Funktastic. Between Mike and Amber, everything was seamless. They made sure to keep us informed, provided expert knowledge on what songs make a party most memorable, and above all, made us feel so special. Our guests were blown away by their talent and continue to still ask us about them and where we found this amazing band. They also are able to learn songs that pertain to you and give you a show like no other. Amber, I don’t think Stevie Nicks could perform as well as you did when you sang Edge of Seventeen. I have never had more fun singing that song than with you leading the way. Thank you for going out of your way Funktastic. You were worth every penny and I would do it all again if I could.

My husband already wrote a raving review, but I have to write one too because WOW! The band was the most important part to us, my husband is a musician and without a doubt, we found the perfect band! I mean the song selecting spreadsheet won me over immediately, but also working with Alysha - who is the kindest person and an AMAZING MC, and just getting non-stop compliments all night. Our first dance song was a little different and they knocked it out of the park, their energy is amazing, and they let my husband join them on stage for a couple songs and just made his night. I will recommend Funktastic to everyone I know, I am so happy they were our wedding band!

Funktastic was the absolute BEST wedding band we could have ever dreamed of! They were so organized and easy to work with throughout the planning process, and they even learned a few songs that we asked them to (and played them even better than the originals!). Funktastic turned our wedding into the party of the year, we loved every second of dancing and singing with them throughout the night. Our guests could not stop gushing about the band and how talented they are. They truly made our wedding so special and I cannot recommend them enough!!

We had Funktastic Productions play at our wedding (9/24/22) and can't recommend them highly enough! They made everything super easy (amazing song selection spreadsheet) and communicated well. Most importantly, they are all killer players! Non-stop energy and amazing performers. I had several guests approach me during the wedding asking who the band was and complimenting them. I am a musician myself and sat in with Funktastic for a couple songs. They made me feel super comfortable on stage and it was a highlight of the night. They didn't have to do that, and went the extra mile to make our day extra special. Book this band for your event!

Funktastic is the best wedding band I've heard and we were lucky enough to have them be a part of our big day. They were all very professional and made the process leading up to the event super easy and comfortable. Would highly recommend them to anyone considering! We were in a tough spot with only a month to find a wedding band, and this team came through with an incredible performance (and with only 3 weeks to plan!). I feel like every one of our wedding guests had something positive to say about the band, and it truly made our night unforgettable.
