I literally cried while speaking to the lead vocalist at the end of the night. I told her how much I loved our evening and it was because of them! The vocalists, musicians and sound engineers were insanely fabulous! It is now 3 days later and I still have friends and family raving about this band. They are so easy to work with as well. They take the time to listen to the bride and groom and really get a feel for the vision they have of how they want the night to be. Funktastic has a very extensive catalog of songs they know, and they are will to learn a few new ones for your event. We wanted the band members to interact with our guests and they did. The main vocalist came out onto the dance floor and the crowd went WILD! We had countless guests tell us they were the best wedding band they have ever heard! As my friends are now the age where their kids all start to get married, I will absolutely be encouraging them to book Funktastic. dancing. Mike was very helpful and responsive throughout the planning process as was Sirvaun as we talked through song choices and play lists. Despite some logistical hurdles such as some distance between ceremony and reception and a fairly small dance floor, but they were extremely professional and made it all work seamlessly. We received enthusiastic compliments about all parts of the Funktastic package from beginning to end. Guests talked about how good the strings and piano were throughout the ceremony and I loved what I heard through the adrenaline as well! The jazz trio was the perfect compliment for our cocktail hour and setting. DJ Sirvaun put on an amazing show and did a great job combining songs we wanted into an amazing mix. The accompanying saxophone took it to another level and had the whole room really into the music. Our wedding venue loved the combo so much they plan to recommend it to future weddings as an amazing option to future couples at their venue. We couldn’t agree more and we have absolutely no regrets about choosing Funktastic.

rew were wonderful in helping us plan and execute a killer setlist. They went hard and their musicianship is stellar. They were so kind to let me (the groom) sit in with them on a number and even learned a song I wrote for my wife and played it with me that night. Funktastic are just an all-around great and talented band who we found to be very accomodating, fun and great to work with. If you dig 60s soul/Motown especially, this is the band. Their setlist is extensive and the ability to request a few songs not already included on it made the soundtrack to the night even more special (and they knocked those songs out of the park). Plus, they let my band and I fill in for a song and were gracious enough to let us borrow the instruments and equipment we needed. From the moment you begin working with them, it’s clear they want to make your day special. They provide you with an exhaustive song list for you to choose from, and on top of that they actively encourage you to pick songs for them to learn for you. So back to their musicianship, all I can say is “wow”! While we had a relatively small wedding, Funktastic made it feel like it was a full on dance party! So no matter what size your wedding is, Funktastic will supersede all of your expectations. Bonus tip: we got their jazz trio offering for our cocktail hour and they were amazing for that as well. Well worth it if you’re considering live music for that part of your wedding.

We could not have asked for anything better. They made the day run so smoothly. We had the solo guitarist play for our ceremony who was incredible. They set up all the microphone and sound systems for the ceremony which worked perfectly even though we had a large outdoor wedding and it was quite windy. We had the jazz trio play during cocktail hour which we got so many compliments on and it really set the ambiance for our outdoor cocktail hour. Amber, the MC and lead singer, did an incredible job with all the wedding party entrances, speech announcement and first dances. We had the band play our first dance and it was the best decision ever. The Amber, HG, and the entire band kept the dance floor PACKED all night and their energy was unmatched. HG’s voice in Tennessee Whiskey was stunning. Overall, if you’re reading this, book them right now!
