If I could give FunkyTown Affairs 10 stars, then I would! Many problems occurred with my original wedding planner at a different company, so when they handed my account over to FunkyTown Affairs, it was such a relief. Janay stepped in and all the worries I originally had were quickly addressed and sorted. She even saved the day when my florist (that had been booked through the original wedding planning company but had confirmed the drop-off date and time with FunkyTown Affairs) didn’t show up on the day of my wedding. My wedding was in downtown Plano, and Janay quickly jumped in her car and drove to downtown Dallas, where the florist was for another wedding. Janay managed to get bouquets for myself and my bridesmaids to walk down the aisle with. Although the flowers weren’t what I had booked/paid for, the fact that Janay was able to get something in our hands for the walk down the aisle meant the world to me. All I can say is that if you’re looking for a coordinator in the Dallas or Fort Worth area, you shouldn’t look anywhere other than FunkyTown Affairs! They are professional and remove any stress that often comes with a big event.

There's not enough words to adequately express how beyond incredible Crystal and her team are!! Crystal is a brilliant, experienced planner who flawlessly brings your vision to life. She was respectful and mindful of our budget and provided creative solutions. She always makes herself available for you and makes you feel heard & supported. When I first spoke with Crystal, I felt immediately at ease and confident in giving her the keys to our (wedding) kingdom. As a massive Type A bride, that wasn't an easy thing to find. I never once stressed about how it would come to life, if she had everything on track, or if I need to remind her of anything. She was organized, prompt and transparent. And everyone at our wedding had nothing but glowing reviews of her, both with the execution and her overall demeanor. 12/10 recommend hiring Crystal and her team for your wedding!!

Crystal and Lindsy were the BEST to work with!! Definitely HIGHLY recommend using them for your month of/day of needs! I was very apprehensive planning a wedding somewhere I hadn't been and with people I hadn't met, but let me tell you about Crystal..... She is literally the bomb. She and Lindsy listened to everything I wanted and made it ALL happen. I have never met a bride who has had the experience I had. I wouldn't change a thing and am so thankful for the hard work they put into my wedding. They will forever be close to my heart.

We decided to hire a day of coordinator a few weeks before our wedding and were blessed with Janay! She set up a call with us to go over basic details and starting contacting our other vendors and took over the last minute details, which I was so grateful for. Janay, on the morning of the wedding, was at the venue before we were, and helped unload decorations and the drinks for the bar. She set up the reception area on her own (which looked wonderful), let us do a last minute rehearsal and was checking on us a lot throughout the day to see if anything was needed. Thank you funky town affairs and Janay for your help!!! You are awesome and the day wouldn’t have gone so smoothly without you. Thank you for everything.

If you’re debating whether you need a planner or not- the answer is YES you do & the people you need is FunkyTown Affairs! It was so convenient having both planning & florals done by the same company! Hiring Crystal and Janya was easily one of the best choices I made while planning. Our day went so smooth and looked so beautiful all thanks to them. They made sure everything I envisioned came true and it couldn’t have been better. They are very professional but also fun, easy going people that make you feel so comfortable. Janya & Crystal fought tooth and nail for us when we had an issue with one of our vendors and it was so nice having them in our corner!!! I cannot recommend FunkyTown Affairs enough!

FunkyTown Affairs is amazing!! I hired this team because I didn’t want to worry about anything on the big day. Not only did Pam keep the time and vendors running smoothly, she was so amazing to me during this stressful run up to the wedding. My grandfather passed away the week before, and Crystal and Pam took point and went above and beyond and coordinated the most gorgeous flowers that I was going to do foolishly myself. Do yourself a favor and hire them as your florist up front! I cannot recommend this team enough and am so grateful and thankful to Pam and Crystal for everything they did for us.

She thought of everything & worked so hard to make our wedding day the most special day of our lives. I love to have my hands in everything I plan, but I knew I would not be able to enjoy my wedding and handle the details of the day. Pam was perfect. She knows the ins and outs of the wedding day and was able to take those stressors off my plate to I could actually enjoy the day I had been planning for over a year. A wedding coordinator is worth every penny! FunkyTown is one of the best things I spent my money on that day. Only my food beats them for the number one spot.

Crystal with FunkyTown affairs was fantastic. When we got engaged, my fiancé was not convinced we needed a wedding planner and I assured him one would be necessary- after our big day he admitted hiring Crystal was one of the best choices we made. From the very beginning Crystal hit the ground running with helping in every way possible. I am a type A personality (almost to a fault) I like to organize things and constantly be checking and rechecking things- Crystal did a wonderful job reassuring me that everything was taken care of, which really helped with my wedding planning anxiety. Crystal and her team pulled off the most magical day and my husband and I cannot thank her enough. I highly recommend FunkyTown affairs for all your planning needs.

We were looking for a day of coordinator. Janay was assigned to us and she was phenomenal and very professional. She provided a complete itinerary that coordinated with all of our vendors including hair and make-up for the whole party, including working with our DJ. She showed up early, stayed late. Helped decorated, which was out of her job description. She organized the whole thing, went above and beyond and made it flow easy for us!

Crystal and her team are ABSOLUTELY AHHHMAAAZZZINNNG. I don't know if there are enough words possible for me to describe all the amazing things she did for our wedding. It would not have been possible to survive the planning process without her. She answered every text, call, or email I had no matter what time of day or how random. She even took care of our florals for us, which came out even better than I could have ever imagined. Despite any challenges that came up, including the world's most difficult blue to match, she went above and beyond. We had everything we wanted and more during our wedding. Crystal felt like more than just a planner she felt like a close friend who just happened to keep your entire life organized. I would recommend FunkyTown to anyone who needs event help/guidance.

Crystal was amazing! She was so sweet and so good at making my vision for the floral arrangements come to life. She worked with me on any changes I made to the flowers as the planning process continued. Her flower arrangements were so beautiful! She even came with extra supplies to make any last minutes changes if there were any. Any questions that I had, she was there to answer them. I couldn’t have asked for a better florist!

Crystal is an absolute dream. She exceeded my expectations. She is so helpful and relieved so much stress. She made my venue look even more beautiful than what I had envisioned. I received many compliments about how helpful she was from guests. Her assistant Emmanuel is the best! I could not recommend them enough I will not recommend anyone else to my close friends and family! YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!

I first hired Funkytown affairs about a year before my wedding. I decided to go with the day of and 6 week before the wedding plan because my wedding was in a different town then where I was currently living, so I needed all the help I could get. Crystal contacted me a few weeks before the wedding to finalize the major details. She then reached out to me so we could go to the venue and put my vision to life about two weeks before the wedding. She texted me to let me know that she wouldn’t be able to meet me at the venue and Janay would be meeting me instead. At first I was a little bit disappointed because Crystal knew what I wanted, what I was looking for, and the vision I was looking to capture for the wedding day. But when I met Janay at the venue she started to voice her opinion about some things that she had seen in past weddings and things that worked for what I wanted. After that I knew Janay it was going to make my wedding the best day ever! Fast forward to the day of my actual wedding and I literally didn’t have to do anything. Janay and her assistant took care of every single detail without involving me or stressing me out which I am so thankful for. My husband is highly allergic to nuts so when the cake arrived (late) she wanted to make sure that there was no nuts. It turned out that there was a possible contamination of nuts in the grooms cake. If Janay would not have asked that question there is a possibility that we would have had to rush him to the hospital. I cannot stress enough about how happy I was with Janay and her team. She made my day the absolute best day that I could’ve ever dreamed of and I am so thankful for her and Funkytown affairs for making it a spectacular, perfect, stunning day. I am happy to now call Janay a friend and I will Always recommend her to fellow Brides. Thank you so much!

I can not express the level of gratitude I have towards this team!!! Crystal is absolutely amazing in every way! My wedding had to be rescheduled due to covid and just her level of empathy along with patience helped ease my stress! When the day finally arrived Janay took over with Crystal popping in and everything went so smooth! Honestly it was so easy and stress free! They made sure that everything was handled and that I was able to relax! The amount of professionalism you get along with the actual grace and compassion is such an outstanding quality to provide! Absolute perfection. In the beginning of planning my wedding, I really had no clue where to start. I always thought I would have time to plan it all but I work A BUNCH and love my quite time so much that I forced myself into finding a planner... This by far was the best decision we could have made for our wedding. Crystal Johnson is not your typical wedding planner. Yes, she will find you the perfect vendors, the perfect venue, and a perfect rentals, but she also will whole heartedly invest in your relationship. She wants more for you. She wants your love to last. Looking back now we attended our wedding as guest, not as host. Our relationship and commitment to one another really took center stage and we have Crystal to thank. Every penny was absolutely worth it. If you are concerned about money just know that she will save you bunches in the long run. She is very honest about her vendors, anyone she brings to you has proven their talent and love for their work before. She also is so good at not applying any pressure! All she means to do is show you your options and provide you with some selection. All in all we walked away from our dream wedding with someone I am happy to call a friend. I am so thankful for FunkyTown Affairs.

FunkyTown Affairs was hired through my wedding venue for a day-of-coordinator. Working with Crystal made wedding planning so much easier! She and I met a few weeks before the big day and we discussed all of the details and she was able to pull everything together! I am your typical Type A and I was so impressed with her organization. We planned for an outdoor ceremony but we had rain on the morning of the wedding which necessitated moving the ceremony indoors. Despite the change of plans, Crystal made the entire day go seamless. The events that I've been to that we're planned by FunkyTown Affairs were so unique and fun. Every detail had been thought of and you noticed! The last wedding I attended was breath taking.
