I am Nnete (pronounced Neh-Teh) aka Pastor Tay, an ordained nondenominational officiant, that specializes in creating custom-written ceremonies that are meaningful, loving and funny. I believe Love and Laughter lights the way to Happily Ever After!
Insert air quotes, “Your wedding day is all about you!” That is what your loved ones will tell you. But let’s be real, during your wedding planning process you will be tested, you will negotiate, and sometimes you will even compromise to make peace. Add olive branches to your shopping list, trust me.
YOUR wedding ceremony should be about YOU! Together we will curate a funny ceremony that shares your love journey and reflects both of your personalities; while ensuring your parents feel like their input matters. Parents reading this, of course your input matters. My job is to first bring the bride and groom’s vision to life, then find ways to incorporate your wishes, as the couple so desires.
Love and Laughter is my way of life, so I officiate weddings for couples of all faiths, spiritual but not religious, and not the least bit religious. With 15+ years of entertaining audiences as a comedian, host and morning show radio personality, I am skilled with uniting people, balancing all elements and improvising those unplanned moments.

FIRST OFF... WE LOVE PASTOR TAY!
When Nnete sat down with us at our consultation, she asked us "What type of ceremony we wanted?" We basically told her that we didn't want it to ...
be too serious, or long and that we wanted our family and friends to FEEL the love in the room.
I was so delighted by the end of the night, because so many people came up to us and said that they felt the love, that the ceremony was funny! She gave us exactly what we wanted, and our friends/family said it to us not knowing that's what we wanted! ***MIND BLOWN*** I believe that's called Job Well Done!
I even had single friends tell me that they wanted Nnete to do their wedding when it was time, THAT NIGHT!
I LOVED laughing and hearing loud laughter from our audience during the ceremony!
For wedding goers that didn't know the groom that well or the bride that well, or the story of how we met, she laid it out so beautifully! She even added in little quirks about us, what we liked about each other which really personalized it. We really let her do her own thing with it and we didn't want to know what she was going to say until the ceremony. So hearing how much thought and work she put into it really made us feel loved and proud.
She even helped us with our vows! My husband and I had different ideas on the length of our wedding vows. He's a short, I've got a lot to say...
She helped beef his up a bit, and helped me edit down a lot, while helping me organize my thoughts in a concise manner. Even up to the last minute when I wanted to change things!
We were so happy to have her officiate. Her attention to detail is A+, she asked the colors of our wedding so that she made sure her outfit went with the day and didn't clash in any way. Professional!

rst time we met with her, Nnete broke the ice by having each of us tell the story of our first date from our own perspective while the other listened. She even got my husband, who isn't a big talker, to open up. It was a fun way for her to gain insight into our relationship. I love how she showed genuine interest in getting to know us as a couple.
Leading up to the wedding, we met with Nnete several times both in person and over facetime so that she could nail down the type of ceremony we were looking for. She was also extremely flexible when it came to working around both of our busy schedules. Any time we had a question or concern, Nnete was always easily accessible via email, phone, or text. She was hands on from the beginning until the end, there was no detail too small for her take notice of.
The day of our ceremony, Nnete absolutely exceeded our expectations and then some. She knew every last detail of our day. When the DJ accidentally played the wrong song as I was about to walk down the aisle, Nnete quickly alerted him and smoothed things over before anyone could even notice. She custom crafted exactly the type of ceremony we were looking for, she captured the heartfelt feel we wanted, and she made it fun for our guests too. Everyone still comments on how much they enjoyed our reception AND our ceremony. Nnete was one of my favorite parts of our special day.
