Doug is a consummate professional who is the most prepared person I've ever seen.
We were interested to meet Doug after he captured my cousin's wedding and engagement shoot. He to...
ok the time during our first conversation to understand our vision and confirm he could execute what we wanted. That's an underrated aspect - many other people would simply accept a job even if there were potential "fit" issues just to get paid. However, Doug was very honest, and after a nice chat that touched on various aspects of the engagement and the wedding, we were able to confirm we were all on the same page. His style, if I were to put it, really hues towards high Fashion style. Think Annie Leibovitz-like.
We were first wowed by Doug during that initial meeting - we discussed various places to shoot our engagement photos, and hit upon Big Sur, CA. Despite being several hours away from Los Angeles, Doug was truly energized by the idea . He encouraged us to embrace our vision in its entirety, and not let some distance get in the way. He made the drive up separately and when we started our photo shoot at 5 am in 45 degree weather, his warm smile and dry humor kept our spirits up throughout a long day.
Come the day of our wedding, Doug again showed off his exemplary skills and preparation by having an emergency kit to help clean stains, clear wrinkles in the dress, and even sewing materials for a loose button. Balancing patience, cheer, and speed, he and his assistant whisked around between the various venue areas and groups, capturing all the moments big and small. We can never express our gratitude enough for what Doug has done for us. And the best part of all: As great a photographer he is, he's an even better person.
Thank you Doug!
Hiring Doug was one of the best investments we made for our wedding. From our initial email from January 2017 to our wedding on August 18, 2018, he has always been responsive throu...

My husband (then fiancé) and I met with several photographers before Doug, but we felt we did not have a natural connection with them. When we met Doug, he was very easy-going, nice, professional, and made us feel comfortable around him. We booked the Full Meal Deal Package and Photobooth. He was very straightforward with his pricing and also allows permission to obtain prints from third party suppliers. Other photographers we met with would try to switch amd bait us by advertising low pricing for the engagement & wedding sessions, but we would not be able to print or obtain products from anywhere else besides the photographer OR they would charge us a ridiculous amount of money (~$2,500 to $3,000) to obtain the rights to our photos or to print them somewhere else. I work in a Trademark/Copyright legal background and this issue was extremely important to me.
Engagement Session (October 2017) - Doug was very accommodating and drove down to San Diego with his lighting assistant Liana. They were extreme troopers for driving and shooting for a full 9 hours ensuring we got all the locations we wanted for the shoot such as our boxing gym, the Spruce Street Suspension bridge, Balboa Park, Sunset Cliffs, and Centennial Park (Coronado). Doug even climbed the Spruce Street Suspension Bridge to get some beautiful views from the top without any safety gear and also bribed an ice cream truck man so we could get shots in front of it. My biggest fear was that most of the locations we went to in San Diego are so heavily used in most engagement shoots that the photos would not be unique and would be typical. Doug was not too familiar with the San Diego sites since he is based in LA, but he delivered beautiful and unique shots that quickly squashed my fears. We got so many compliments from friends and family. They wanted us to make sure we also booked him for the wedding.
Wedding Day and Photobooth (August 2018) - Doug and Jason came on time as we were getting ready at the hotel. They both hustled hard in shooting photos throughout the day, driving around LA to different locations (our venue, parents home for tea ceremony, first look location, and DTLA) through traffic on one of the busiest wedding days of the year, and helped drive my husband to a couple of spots due to some missed details in planning for rides. They made the experience extremely stress-free through a long day. I started to preview the unedited photos (~5,000+ photos) they captured and am truly amazed at how many moments they were able to capture (lowkey seriously think they are ninjas that operate on stealth mode). I am excited and looking forward to seeing the final results.
As for the Photobooth, it was operated by Ivan and our guests had an absolute blast with taking photos & choosing from the variety of props provided. I also wanted to acknowledge that Ivan set it up back after he shut it off for my husband and I at the end of the night since we did not get a chance to do it earlier. It was greatly appreciated! The photos for the photobooth were loaded into the online gallery within a day or two after our wedding.
To summarize the above or if you choose to forego reading my earlier text, Doug and his team are so great in what they do and you won't regret it! I would strongly recommend booking them and would not hestitate to hire them again for future milestones.

t photos months back and we LOVED them!! Doug and Jason are so accommodating, they help you feel less awkward or nervous, and they will re-adjust you if they think you should be posing a different way or in a different area. They know all the right angles, all the right locations, and they are just such great people and fantastic photographers!! We love our wedding photos and Doug sends them to you really quickly which is awesome! They're a great team with a lot of experience and great rapport! Everyone at our wedding loved them and so did we!!
I just got married this past weekend on July 4th. I will make this short and to the point. Doug and Jason took my engagement photos and my wedding photos. My experience througho...
ut my history with Doug has been AMAZING. He is quick and knows how to direct people to pose in photos. My bridal party exact words were "WOW, we like him he is quick and knows what he is doing"! The minute Doug and Jason arrive to take our photos for our engagement and or wedding photos, they work with our timeline. Doug made me feel comfortable by making me laugh even though I have a hard time posing for photos. Doug also coordinated a photobooth for me and all my guests loved the backdrop and the ease of the set up. I did not want my wedding day to end and I am glad I had Doug from Furious Photographers to capture our big day. I HIGHLY recommend Furious Photographers to capture your event!!! I can't thank Doug and Jason enough and can't wait to see the photos!
Doug is absolutely phenomenal. We booked him for an engagement session as a test run for our wedding and he totally nailed it! The day of our shoot was a rainy mess and I was opera...
ting off of 3 hours of sleep after having to work overnight, and somehow we were still completely thrilled with our photos. Doug improvises very well under pressure and is always cool and collected, which was incredibly helpful on the big day.
Fast forward to the wedding, Doug & Jason were total life savers. Doug taught us how to pin on corsages and helped track down things I totally forgot, such as hairspray. They both showed up on time, looking sharp, and were completely professional. Our guests were all impressed with how easy and fun they both were to work with.
We planned our Sonoma Wedding from Brooklyn where we live. We had looked at several other photographers and weren't happy with the consistency of their work for how much they were charging. I'm so thankful we went with Furious Photographers, Doug is worth every penny! I can't recommend them enough!

During the reception, Doug had set up our photos as a slide show. Talk about FAST! A week later, we already have our proofs. Great people! Fun to work with!
We hired Furious for our Engagement and Wedding photography and have ZERO regrets. Doug and his team and truly wonderful people and their work is impeccable. Photojournalism style...
- the kind of stuff that could be in high fashion magazines - very editorial. We have received tons of compliments from friends and family on the work they have done. I would recommend them for any wedding or engagement session.
