Words cannot express how pleased we were with Gregg! When I first contacted him, I made it very clear to him that we needed a DJ who was bilingual and could keep the party going for both cultures (my husband is Mexican and i am very white). While we never met with him in person, he knew EXACTLY what we wanted and did an amazing job mixing the music and keeping the party going. There was someone always on the dance floor! He provides very helpful planning tools that help guaranteed we got the songs we wanted for our first dance, entrance, etc. But we gave him very little information on the songs we wanted to play during the reception. He just did his thing and it was awesome! He had amazing energy throughout the entire reception! We had a mariachi band during our cocktail hour (which we didn't hire until about 5 days before the wedding!) but Gregg did a great job working with them and then taking over music duties as soon as the mariachi was over. My husband is very hard to please when it comes to DJs and he could not stop talking about how great Gregg did! Reasonable pricing and so flexible!

When planning the early stages of our wedding, we originally thought we’d go the self-DJ/iPod route to save some money. We quickly realized that wasn’t the best option, as we wanted some help in making sure all the parts of our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception all went smoothly. We contacted Greg after reading some great reviews, and I’m happy to say that everything we’d read was true. He was very helpful and communicative in the time leading to our wedding day and was always responsive to any questions or concerns I had. On our wedding day, Greg played acoustic guitar for our ceremony beautifully and kept music playing during our cocktail hour. He spoke with our wedding party prior to the entrance to the reception to make sure he had pronunciation correct and to make everyone comfortable. Greg did a great job of helping us stick to our timeline, playing requests, and keeping the party going! We received many compliments on his professionalism and ability to read the room to play music that would appeal to our guests. We especially noticed that he was interactive with our guests and in making announcements, but in a way that wasn’t overbearing or showy. We could not have been happier with our decision to hire Greg for our wedding and are very grateful to him for helping to make it such an amazing day!

- Greg was easy to work with even though we were not living local to the San Diego area. Easy to use website to schedule meetings as well as plan the event. **BUT we wanted to give a special shout-out to DJ Anil — absolute blast of a performance. The dance floor was packed the whole night! Anil also kept the business-end of the night flowing perfectly while checking in with us discreetly about the pacing of events according to our timeline. Best DJ of our lives!!

Greg at G Sharp was an incredible DJ!! My fiance and I met through music and we wanted to create a specific type of wedding. We knew it would be hard to find someone who could play all of our Greek, Italian, Argentinian and other music which we considered a must at our wedding. We were lucky to find Greg/GSharp and had an amazing musical experience. Greg was excellent at understanding the type of wedding we wanted to have as well as the type of music. He did a great job of combining our requested songs with his own library of music. Throughout the whole night he had everyone on the dance floor as we had hoped and all of my guests came back to me and commented on how great the music selections were. He did this grand finale song ('That's amore') at the end of the reception which had everyone on their feet hugging and singing. Such a beautiful and memorable touch! Greg also did a fantastic job at working with the venue coordinator and the live jazz band to make sure that everything from the ceremony to the reception went smoothly. I never had to think about anything and he was very flexible with our whims throughout the night. The services that G Sharp and Greg provided were well worth the price, which was also very reasonable. Working with Greg/GSharp was the easiest part of planning our wedding and I couldn't recommend him enough!

Greg was amazing throughout the whole process. He really worked hard to make the process simple for us by leading us to provide information, making us feel at ease when we were indecisive, and he was always professional any time we had phone meetings or appointments. For the wedding itself, we got constant compliments from our guests about the music played (several said that they were having a hard time leaving the dance floor because the best songs just kept coming up). We all had a great time, and the music was perfect. Greg even led the way with his experience when we were flustered with the details, and he really made us at ease with how well he took care of the meaningful little details. We also had a great time with the included photobooth with our package, and so many of our guests have let us know how much fun they had celebrating with us. I absolutely recommend G Sharp, and I'm so glad we went with them!

My husband and I are swing dancers, which means that we wanted music from the 1930's-40's for all of our swing dancing friends in attendance while also having music for those that don't do lindy hop. And one of my biggest fears going into the wedding was having an empty dance floor! But Greg was amazing!! He found the perfect balance of music to please everyone in attendance. And that dance floor was going all night! I couldn't have asked for a better DJ. He also played the guitar for our ceremony and cocktail hour, which was the perfect touch to the day. He learned the song "All I Ask of You" from Phantom of the Opera for my walk down the aisle and it was absolutely perfect. I really couldn't have asked for a better day and my husband and I owe a lot of thanks to Greg for that!

Greg and his team at G Sharp did an amazing job at our wedding ceremony and reception. We also used their string quartet, Sol Sostenido Strings. They also did a fantastic job at the ceremony and went above and beyond to make sure we had the right arrangement for the music that we wanted played. We hired G Sharp Entertainment for DJ and music services at our wedding ceremony and reception and I am more than happy that we did. Greg was fantastic to work with, quick to communicate and address any questions or concerns that we had. G Sharp provided all of the music as well as microphone and speakers for our beach wedding without any problem. They even helped to set up our ceremony chairs when they were unexpectedly delivered late, which was so kind. Anil made our reception so much fun - a huge party scene which is exactly what we wanted. I would absolutely hire G Sharp again if I could and I would highly recommend them to anyone and everyone. Great DJ's, easy and fun to work with, and all at the best price you are going to find!

Man, we lucked out with booking with them! I was feeling pretty anxious about finding a DJ for our wedding since it's arguably the most important part of a wedding (besides, you know, the bride and groom and whatnot). I called G Sharp and talked to Greg, who immediately put my mind at ease. I ended up booking them right then and there. The form they provide has you include a wedding timeline, song choices, and any other detail you wouldn't even think about. There was constant communication throughout the entire process. I never spoke to the DJ who was coming to our wedding but I still felt at ease with whoever was being sent to us. Anil was our DJ and he was honestly the best. He was very respectful and personable. Anil actually took all of my guests' song requests all throughout the night and he was able to seamlessly piece song after song together. I had guests asking me for our wedding playlist days after the wedding because it was so good. For our first dance, he told me as long as I looked over at him during it, he would cut it short (I really don't like to be in the spot light for too long!), and he sure did! G Sharp is a gem and I would definitely use them again!

Greg truly made our wedding day so memorable. He played acoustic guitar during our ceremony as well as during cocktail hour and then was our DJ throughout the reception. I cannot count the amount of guests that complimented his talent (especially his guitar playing during cocktail hour) and we were totally blown away ourselves. He was so good at reading the crowd and played music that kept everyone on the dance floor. He even checked in with the people giving toasts right before to explain use of the mic and where it would be best to stand. Our main goal was for everyone to just have a good time which is pretty dependent on the DJ and we couldn’t be happier with our choice. I would recommend Greg to anyone and everyone!

I used G Sharp's services for ceremony and cocktail hour music for my wedding this spring, and I couldn't be happier! Our acoustic guitarist Joe Amato was fantastic. He executed each song beautifully. Though I unfortunately didn't get to meet him in person, or hear much of the cocktail hour music (I was elsewhere taking photos with my husband), my guests raved about the ambience Joe provided with his sweet, sweet tunes. I would highly recommend G Sharp Entertainment for another event.

G Sharp Entertainment is all around an amazing company! What makes this company stand out so much to me is the customer service. From the very beginning, Greg (the owner) was quick to respond, detail-oriented, polite, and extremely accommodating. My husband and I had made special requests for our ceremony music and cocktail hour music. Greg himself was unavailable for our wedding day, but he ensured that he had musicians available for our day and to fit our special requests. My husband and I had to make a few very last minute changes to our package. I was a bit nervous if Greg would even be able to accommodate the change, but again, he worked with us and ensured that everything was taken care of. One thing i loved about our correspondence is that Greg always offered a few options to us, to see what would best fit what we needed. This was so helpful. Nate was the guitarist who played at our cocktail hour. He was excellent! He gave our cocktail hour a very relaxed and happy vibe, which we (and our guests) absolutely loved. I highly recommend G Sharp for all your event musical needs!

Greg was amazing!! We He was professional, responsive and his prices were fair and affordable. His online planning forum made picking music easy. At our wedding, Greg performed live music for cocktail hour and DJ'd for the ceremony and reception. While we didn't hear him during cocktail hour the guests said his performance was great! Our wedding started at 10am and he played music that kept people on the dance floor despite the early morning. Greg also provided us with a photobooth which was a huge hit. Greg was great! He played classical guitar for our cocktail hour and dinner then switched to DJing for the dancing portion. He was super accommodating of our request to have the groom's brother play guitar/sing for our first dance. We also opted to add in the photo booth which was a lot of fun and we loved looking back at all the photos afterward (they send you a flashdrive of all the pics taken in the booth). Only complaint was that the booth is only big enough for about 4 people.

Greg was amazing! We hired him to play our ceremony music and DJ our reception. Throughout the planning process, he was very responsive and helpful in answering my many questions. We got so many compliments on the music at the wedding - Greg played an awesome dance mix! And he was gracious in accepting song requests throughout the night. We also worked with his day-of coordinator Patricia. She was so helpful in managing all the day-of details so I didn't have to think about anything except for taking it all in. I highly recommend Greg and Patricia!

So happy we went with Greg for our recent wedding and would highly recommend him. Greg played guitar during our ceremony and cocktail hour, was the DJ during the reception, and also set up lights. Greg was excellent in all these roles and really easy to work with during the planning process. We were most impressed with how well Greg kept the dance floor moving - which anyone knows is a critical part of any wedding! Greg has an online planning tool for suggesting songs - and this was really helpful - but when it really came down to the day of - his experience as a DJ rather than our suggestion with the planning tool is what really mattered. Of course he played all our "must play songs" and none of our "do not play songs", but I am so glad that he played a number of songs we never even suggested. He seemed to know to play just the right song at just the right time! Made for a really fun dance floor!

I literally googled "live music DJ bossa nova" and found Greg Shibley (and only Gred Shibley). He was PERFECT! For our ceremony and cocktail hour, he played guitar and sang, and for our reception he DJ'd and MC'd. He knew Brazilian Portuguese which was a huge plus for my in-laws from Brazil! He was very confident, experienced, and just knows how to do it right. My guests are already recommending Greg to other people, everyone loved him!

Greg was amazing! We met with him before and he helped us balance exactly what we were looking for. We could not afford a live band but Greg offered live acoustic music for our cocktail hour and for our first dance. Then he really kept the reception dancing and out on the dance floor for the entire night! In addition, he works with a day of coordinator who was amazing! Patricia made it very easy not to worry about little details being addressed the day of. She helped set up the church and then went straight to the reception to make sure all was well. She worked with Greg to keep us on time with the timeline and everything worked out smoothly! They were both amazing vendors to work with and we could not be more pleased with the end result!

I can't say enough good things about G Sharp! Greg and Pat are the best! Greg was absolutely wonderful to work with in terms of booking and logistics for my wedding. Pat (who did live music for cocktail hour then DJ'd my wedding reception) was amazing! He is so easy to work with and kept the party so high energy everyone was on the dance floor!! I had countless guests tell me how good the music was! Pat did a great job of mixing in all my "must play" songs with other great party tunes. I would HIGHLY recommend to any couple planning a wedding to hire G Sharp!

Greg was amazing! He played acoustic guitar for our ceremony and cocktail hour, and DJed for the reception. I heard nothing but great things about the music! And coming from an eclectic crowd of people who love to dance, that's saying something. I've been to a lot of weddings where the DJ plays only what he wants to, but Greg plated what WE wanted--Everyone thought it was on point. He kept the party going up until the very last song, and he played everyone's requests. He's super easy to work with too. Highly organized, which I appreciated, and very easy to get ahold of. I have a rowdy bunch, and he was able to go with the flow effortlessly. I highly recommend Greg for all events. I hope I get to work with him again for another event!

Perfect. My (now) wife and I got married recently and Greg was the DJ and MC at our wedding. We first met Greg when we heard him playing Spanish guitar at South Coast Winery when we were driving around looking for venues in Temecula. He was getting pretty deep into the Mexican and Brazilian love songs, and my wife - who is from Mexico City - was loving his music so much that she made me go up and get his card. We talked briefly, and he shared that he was a DJ too. That sealed the deal. We were concerned about our DJ (generally) because I am very white, my wife is very Mexican, and we have very different music tastes. We shared that we needed someone who could seamlessly incorporate both American music and Mexican music, so as not to alienate either crowd. We also needed someone who could speak in English and Spanish at the reception (as my wife's family speaks only limited English). Greg hit a home run. As far as the guitar at the ceremony, it was straight out of a movie. Everyone was commenting about his guitar playing and his singing, and it fit perfectly with the vineyard we got married in. When you envision someone playing guitar at your ceremony, you are picturing Greg. As far as the reception, it was apparent that Greg really listened to us when we told him what music we liked, and his playlist was customized. This wasn't your standard "Journey - Don't Stop Believin" playlist. We heard song-after-song that we had mentioned in passing, as well as other songs in genres we liked but hadn't specifically mentioned. He really listened to us and got to know us. The dance floor was PACKED the entire night, and that was ALL Greg.

The short: He's professional in every manner. He's personable, punctual, communicative and responsive. He's accommodating: He's what you need him to be: a classical guitarist, a wedding singer, a DJ, a lighting specialist. And we will make every effort to meet or talk with you on your schedule to help you plan prior to your event date. He's meticulous: Since he had never performed/worked at the venue we had chosen, he requested that he conduct a walk-through about a month before the wedding date to map out the logistics - his attention to detail is a godsend as he will know how to prevent issues and solve any that do come up. He's affordable (and he's worth every penny): We ordered his DJ/Musician package. His prices were cheaper than most other DJs and yet he provided more value than we could've expected. The sound was great all around - from the acoustic music during the ceremony, to the cocktail hour and dinner time background music, to the speeches, to the dancing music - the sound was always clear and audible to just about everyone at our outdoor venue. His personalized service was the icing on the already abundant cake. He learned an alt-country song that is dear to us and played it for our first dance. He played a beautiful rendition of the song and that dance stands out as the single-most memorable moment of our wedding day. We are eternally grateful to him for that performance alone. His website is a great tool for organizing your wedding day timeline. Also, he's got a great online tool to search for music and set up the playlist you want him to spin. The long: We met Greg at a bridal bazaar in January of 2012. We wanted the opposite of a paint-by-numbers, cookie-cutter wedding ceremony, so a bridal bazaar was the last place we wanted to be. We reluctantly attended the bazaar in the hopes of quickly finding the few vendors we needed to round out our wedding. One of the vendors we needed was a DJ. Amidst the seemingly endless selection of greasy, cheesy, loud, bombastic, flashy and forgettable DJs, Greg's G-Sharp Entertainment quietly stood out. Greg sat on a stool playing bossa nova tunes while his wife answered questions, handed out CDs of music samples and pamphlets. His service seemed different from all the others, so we decided to ask a few more questions and then asked if he was available for the weekend of our wedding. We got a good vibe from him and his wife, but wanting to do more research we didn't him book right away. He encouraged us to see his Thursday night performances at the Westgate where we could see him perform and talk to him more at length after his show. We met another couple that was 'auditioning' him for their wedding. After seeing him perform again, and speaking with him a few more times, we booked him for our wedding. Greg is a phenomenal choice for a dj. He was very professional, kind and also very talented and a beautiful classical,modern music guitar player. He is a great choice for live ceremony music and also if you would like to combine DJ services with live music, then it makes it super convenient because he's very good at doing both.
