His comfortable nature put us at ease from the very beginning, which allowed him to take so many of the natural shots that we now love. Gabe also always had great suggestions for certain poses and angles during the shoots—the way he uses and captures soft light in his photos is one our favorite features of his work. Gabe was with us throughout our wedding day taking hundreds of photos, from our preparations all the way through the evening reception. We particularly appreciated that he took photos of our guests as well, which made them feel especially welcome during our celebration. If you want a talented, easy to talk to, fun photographer, then Gabe is your man. He uses a mix of digital and film to capture the moment extremely well. We've never done any type of personal photography so we were both a little nervous we would look goofy but he made us feel so comfortable we were both laughing and smiling the entire time! Gabe not only did our wedding this past month, he also did my brother's five years ago and since then, numerous friends as well. His talent is breathtaking and you don't see many wedding photographers take photos that is, hands down, gorgeous art. I highly recommend Gabe as a photographer. Also, even though he is based out of Washington, DC, he is able to travel and flew to Cleveland for our wedding and I am so glad he did. Gabe and his assistant hung around our families starting in the afternoon of our wedding day until the end of the night. They were professional, unobtrusive, and very flexible with our last minute schedule changes and weather situations. Gabe helped us to plan the formal family pictures in a way that fit our schedule and provided very valuable guidance about the timing, logistics, etc. I trusted him to take care of scouting locations for photos beforehand so that all we had to do was show up and let him take care of the rest. Gabe doesn't take digital photos - he uses film, which means it takes a little longer than normal to process and receive the pictures. But it's totally worth the wait for artistic and well-thought out photos - and the best part is that once they are ready, we received a dropbox full of digital pictures (in two different sizes to accommodate web and prints) that we completely own - no watermarks, and no having to order expensive prints from a website that harasses your family and friends with spam for years to come. Pricing is on the expensive end, but definitely recommended.
