Gabe is the most amazing photographer and person. We hired Gabe for a "faux-lopement" when my husband and I decided to indefinitely postpone our wedding ceremony/reception. Gabe is enthusiastic about all of his clients, and we definitely felt that through the whole process. Both my husband and I felt totally comfortable with him and it shows in the images. They are beyond our favorite pictures we've ever had taken of us. We could not have asked for a better photographer to help us make this moment feel special. I know this is long long over due but Gabe did my wedding back at the end June and really saved the day when my photographer bailed on me last minute only a month out from my wedding! Gabe came in with a game plan that we were able to review with him before the big day. He made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. I just couldn’t wait to get my gallery back and let me tell you I was not disappointed. The only thing I regret is not booking him longer! Trust me you’ll want pictures of the whole night in the end! There are lots of talented photographers in San Diego, but I’m not so sure they’re quite a fun as Gabe. Gabe was an absolute blast to work with. GABE WAS THE BEST CHOICE WE MADE!!! If I could do it all over again - I’d choose Gabe EVERY time. I know this sounds dramatic but Gabriel has become such a part of our growth over the THREE years it took to finally have our wedding. He stuck with us through our big day getting postponed b/c of the pandemic and even showed up for us on the side of a cliff before sunrise to capture our intimate elopement. What a fantastic, kind, funny, and talented person. From the moment we started chatting to Gabe about our wedding, we were blown away by how fun he was to work with and the attention to detail he provides. Gabe took our maternity photos and we could not be happier with how they turned out. The photos are so special to us and couldn’t be any more perfect or “us”! He made us feel so comfortable during the shoot and went above and beyond our expectations. Gabe is an absolute dream and I can’t recommend him enough! His attention to detail as we planned where to take photos during our elopement in Santa Barbara was insane, taking into consideration every little thing and even scouted our locations when he got into town which made taking photos on our big day so so easy. The photos he captured are timeless and it was so special sharing moments from our day with family that couldn’t join us in person. He made the process (which can understandably be an awkward one unless you’re a model) so fun and enjoyable too. He’s basically the best hype man/photographer around! Book him, you won’t regret it!!

My wedding isn’t until April 2022 and yet I feel confident writing this review. I got connected with Gabe through my wedding planner. Within 24 hrs Gabe has set up an intro call and was able to cover our engagement shoot within a week of us getting connected. Gabe is professional and knowledgeable but easily one of the most laid back person I have met. We had planned for an engagement shoot to be shot by a friend but Gabe’s proposal includes a very low cost add-on for the engagement photos so he has the opportunity to get to know us as a couple. After such a great experience we decided to book an adventure shoot as well and planning the travel has been so smooth. I will update after the wedding but honestly at this point he is one of my best vendor decisions and I felt that needed to be shared.

Gabe shot our wedding and we loved the pictures he took. My wife and I both hate having pictures taken and he was able to find ways to get us more comfortable and captured some really beautiful moments.

Gabe is hands down the best wedding photographer you could invest in and this is coming from someone who had a well-known photographer booked BEFORE we even booked Gabe. Due to COVID our original wedding date was canceled 6 days before we were supposed to wed. All our vendors acted human except our original photographer who let us postpone, but with a sour attitude and a warning that if it happened again we’d be charged $750. As if a wedding being postponed plus a worldwide panic wasn’t enough. I get business (i owned 2 at the time!) but human > business ... always. Anyways, we parted ways and hired Gabe and it was the best decision we could have made. Every photo is perfect... and he was so helpful before & during the wedding. He planned the timeline, communicated with us about everything and just made our lives easier. We love Gabe and We will shout it from the rooftops for forever while we try to find the space to hang all these photos in our home. Hire him.. you won’t regret it.

Gabe is literally THE BEST ever. I cannot say enough wonderful things about him. We're expecting a baby and it was so important for us to remember & celebrate this time, and he captured all our joy and anticipation in a beautiful gallery that we're truly going to cherish forever. WE LOVE GABRIEL! I had followed Gabriels instagram for so long so when I got engaged I knew immediately who I wanted to shoot my wedding. Gabriel deserves 10 out of 5 stars for the masterclass we received in pure happiness. A superbly talented director, Gab is wonderfully passionate about capturing your magic day, and he delivered our dream photos - we are so happy with them. I'd like to point out 3 things - 1. "Professional manner" - Gab's photos are amazing, but the entire process he was unfailingly professional. He arrived early, he walked around the venue again even though he knew it, and delivered all albums (pre and finished) after the event almost to the day, and kept us updated. The slideshow presentation of the photos was world class, and made it so easy to share with people. This all matters so much to the overall experience. 2. "Gab's got this" - Gab is so experienced and talented at weddings, you really can go and relax and enjoy your day. He will capture everything you wanted, of the whole event, exactly as if you were standing next to him the whole time. He intuitively knows what you want, and knows how to interact with everyone perfectly. 3. Rock star vibe - Gab is a personality and a half who made us all laugh and relax as he positioned us for shots. Ah! Where can I start? Gabriel is not only the most talented photographer ever but was the absolute best support and personality you could have on your side. Although his work really speaks for itself his personality and passion for his works is just another reason to have be part of your special day. Gabriel is so knowledgeable about all the details about your day and really takes charge to help you plan out your day and make you feel so special. Our wedding time was stressful as is, COVID only making it more difficult but we were so blessed Gabe worked with us through every step. I get sooooo many compliments on my photos from both engagement and our wedding day I cannot go anywhere else! You not only fall in love with his work but his professionalism and passion, I know who will be taking our future family photos!!

Is there a way to give more than 5 stars? But really though, planning a wedding during a pandemic amidst constantly changing rules, regulations, etc is very difficult and anxiety inducing to say the least. We had originally booked Gabe for our wedding that was supposed to be in November. With less than 2 months before our wedding date, our venue had to postpone our original wedding date. I reached out to Gabe who was incredibly patient and understanding as our plans were continually changing. We eventually had a plan and decided to elope with our immediate families and bridal party at Crystal Cove State Park on the original date. On the day of the elopement, it was one of the windiest days of the year with gusts of wind upward of 30-35 mph. Gabe continued to roll with the punches and captured absolutely stunning and amazing work using the wind so creatively. He truly is an artist, and he cares so much for his clients. His warm personality makes you feel like you've known him for decades. He is incredibly professional, detail oriented and great at communication. We can't wait to work with Gabe again for our postponed larger wedding in July! Honestly, if you're considering booking Gabe, don't even question it. Where to start? I’m not sure if I’ll have enough space to describe how GREAT GABE IS!!!!We found him through Instagram and after watching his profile - we felt in love with his work! We booked Gabe for just an elopement but by the time our appointment came - I was 4 months pregnant😍😱, elopement got swapped with maternity shoot :) So don’t wait, book session with GABE right now!!!!!!! Also when finally appointment day came - of course since the morning weather was terrible...the plan was to shoot in the sunset. I was sure we would have to cancel as the shoot was outside, Gabe called me, cheered me up and we’ve decided to give it a try...you not going to believe but just during that hour when we were shooting - clouds cleared and sun came out, so we had magical light! Right in the end of the session-it’s started raining again....seriously? apart from being an amazing photographer, Gabe has some super power I guess😃! I also want to mention how professional he is, prior the session we’ve got detailed guide how to get dressed and also questionario where we could explain what we actually lookin for by doing this set. The result was so much better what we expected! Gabe has some magical skills as he immediately made us both comfortable in front of the camera, kept it all very natural as we didn’t want to pose too much. Seriously amazing photographers! We loved every minute of our engagement shoot as well as our wedding. The photos turned out amazing. The hardest part was trying to narrow down what shots to actually print out! 1000% recommend them!!

If you are reading this, you are likely debating hiring Gabe to shoot your special event. Let this be the last review you read. Gabe is hands down THE BEST. We obviously had a lot of planning and replanning due to the pandemic and Gabe was my ride or die. He was so go with the flow with all of the last minute changes, even on the day of. We ended up eloping with 4 close friends and you would have thought Gabe was just part of our crew -- he fits in with anywhere, with anyone, while still standing out. He made us feel so comfortable and unposed which is exactly what we wanted. Not only was he the perfect addition to our wedding day, he went above and beyond and let us borrow a ring for my husband (I told you there were some last minute things, ha) and drove us back to out airbnb after the ceremony when Ubers were nowhere to be found... oh and he also kept our wallet safe after we then left it in his car during the said ride. I could honestly type an entire novel about why you should hire Gabe but you'll just have to take me and all the other 5 star ratings as facts. I can't wait for him to shoot our next life adventures!

Literally the best photographer ever!!! It was such a pleasure working with Gabe. I want him to be our lifetime photographer lol. He creates such an amazing environment during the photoshoot, whether that was just with us for the engagement shoot or with the whole family during the wedding. Neither of us are used to taking pictures and it was our first time doing a photoshoot together, but Gabe helped us to keep moving and chose "poses" that looked very natural. None of our pictures look stiff or forced. He truly captured the full essence of our amazing day and added his own special artistic style to make it perfect! The only problem now is selecting favorites to print for an album. Thank you sooo much Gabe!

Gabriel made our engagement shoot memorable and fun! Not only does he get you out of your shell to feel comfortable, but he’s also artistic and professional. For our shoot in Big Bear, he drove up early to scout out multiple sites for variety (forest with trees, by the lake, meadow etc.). On top of that, he was extremely timely with getting pictures back. We had so many great pics from this shoot. Gabriel goes above and beyond and brings energy and positivity which adds to the overall experience. Can’t wait to see what he does at our wedding next year!

Gabe went above and beyond in every way! Not only was he incredibly sweet, encouraging, and hilarious, but so professional, timely, and 100% our hype man. I have been drawn to his work for ever and when the chance came to snag some of his pictures for ourselves we took it, and I am so glad we did. Just a note, this man said I would be getting 30-40 pictures and sent me 108!! Like are you joking. Literally sent three times more photos than expected. Thats how great Gabe is. My husband and I have known Gabe for over 10 years, and this is the PERFECT job for him. He is incredible at what he does. He makes you feel 100% comfortable, literally tells you what to do (so you don't have to stress), and brings so much life, joy, and personality! My husband despises pictures (LOL), but he looked amazing in them because Gabe made it so much fun!

You will find it IMPOSSIBLE to not adore Gabe. His energy was the talk of our wedding!! Not only is he so fun to be around, he is AMAZING at his craft. We are blown away by our photos and how elegantly he captured our day. Also, the delivery was super quick too! Ya'll - GABE IS A TRUE ARTIST and absolutely exceeded my expectations!!! As a wedding photographer, it's SO difficult to choose who to hire to take your OWN photos. My hubby and I had our 5 year wedding anniversary this past June and we both wanted photos that would be dreamy, relaxed and representative of who we are as a couple. Gabe nailed that and more! I've known Gabe for a few years and have been itching to have photos done by him... so we were stoked when our schedules aligned to make these photos a reality. He created some of my favorite photos of us that I can't wait to print for our home. On top of being a brilliant artist, he is super communicative, helpful in fleshing out your vision and has the best energy when taking your photos. Stop searching, this is your guy! I literally couldn't come up with a single complaint even if I tried. I was instantly drawn to Gabe's work that I saw on his Instagram. I had looked at many pages, but his stood out to me. While I was hesitant to spend the money on photos, let me tell you, he and the photos are worth every penny! My husband and I first worked with him during our complimentary engagement shoot. We were a little nervous that it would be awkward and we wouldn't know how to pose. Gabe was so friendly, energetic, and outgoing! At no point did we feel awkward and he gave the perfect amount of guidance so we would have perfect photos. We had mentioned we met at a music festival and at one point, Gabe even played music from one of our favorite artists. We had so much fun and it made us so excited for him to shoot our wedding. On top of that, I was absolutely thrilled with how the pictures came out. Due to the pandemic, we had to change our wedding date multiple times. Gabe was so flexible with all of the changes. We ultimately decided we would do a very small, intimate ceremony this year and push off our big event to next year. Gabe offered to set up a phone call with me to help plan the smaller ceremony. Like seriously, he is the nicest guy! We ended up hiring him to shoot our small ceremony as well and once again we were ecstatic with how the pictures turned out. He also gets bonus points for being so patient as we figured out how to get COVID safe photos with some of our immediate family members. I am so excited that we will get to work with him for a third time when we celebrate with all of our family and friends. I promise you will have zero regrets if you choose him as your photographer!

I don't even know if I can explain Gabe Conover and his talent in 3500 words so here we go! To start off, Gabe shot our friends wedding back in August 2019 in which my (now) husband and I weren't able to attend. Shortly after, the bride and groom of that wedding got their photos back and we were sitting in the bar in October and we remember looking through them thinking "WOW we most likely won't find a photographer with this much talent, quirkiness and authenticity all in one" (Our wedding was suppose to be in NJ) We literally felt allll the emotion in all their pictures, practically making us feel like we had attended the wedding. Their pictures were genuine, beautiful and incredibly captured. Fast forward a couple months to April when my Jeremy and I made the tough decision to cancel our wedding due to COVID. We both just moved to San Diego due to his orders and still wanted to get married with just the two of us on our special day. I had reached out to Gabe to see if he would be available to photograph our ceremony and his timely response had me shocked! We quickly connected via phone and I felt like I had known Gabe for years. He is extremely personable, hilarious and comforting. I, not only, appreciated his eagerness to learn about us as a couple and as individuals but how he acknowledged all couples are different. I remember him talking about his job being special because he has the opportunity to meet couples from all different backgrounds, ethnicities, environments, etc. And this resonated with me-- to have someone truly appreciate and respect your love for what it is. Our decision was so simple in regard to hiring him and we didn't even think twice. The night of our wedding, we met Gabe at the sunset cliffs in San Diego and instantly connected with him. Jeremy and I had never been photographed before but Gabe made us feel right at home. He was full of laughter, stories, suggestions and ideas. Also side note, during this time, Gabe has a newborn at home and JUST MOVED into a new home with his beautiful children and wife! He really does it all. This was the best night of our lives. We had so much fun and our wedding ceremony was truly magical. Gabe had me laughing so hard I was snorting. He guided us (which the good Lord knows we needed it the first 10 minutes) but at the same time gave us the space to connect naturally. He got us our sneak peeks within 2 days and our entire gallery in less than 2 weeks. YOU GUYS.. when I say we are speechless because of these pictures, we are speechless. Our family and friends felt like they were there with us (which was HUGE for us since they couldn't physically be there) They are emotion-filled and so wonderfully captured. I am already planning on ways to hang them around our home. Don't think twice about hiring Gabe for your special day, wedding, elopement, engagement, whatever it may be. Gabriel did me and my boyfriends anniversary shoot, and my god. He makes everything SO comfortable and is so good at keeping a conversation. I will ALWAYS recommend his work and definitely plan to get more pictures done by him. Our pictures were beyond what I expected!

So I have had the pleasure of working with Gabe twice now and my opinion of him just keeps getting better and better. It all started when my sister was getting married and she told me she had found the perfect photographer. She went on and on about how wonderful he is and how she is obsessed with him and I was thinking "can a person really leave this much of an impression from just meeting them once?!" Spoiler alert: the answer is YES. When I met Gabe I knew exactly what she meant. He added so much fun to the day that I found myself thinking he was one of our best friends in the bridal party rather than our photographer. He was always right in the middle of the action getting all the perfect shots. And if his personality and his general vibe he brings with him wasn't amazing enough already he also produces the most BEAUTIFUL photos. I got to work with Gabe again for a smaller photoshoot and I cannot emphasize enough how amazing he is. I was laughing literally the entire time. He knows all the good poses, and makes you feel so comfortable while doing them. I received the most amazing photos in such a short amount of time. Gabe is the best!!!

Oh Gabe. What a pleasure it was working with you. Those of you looking for a photographer that knows how to capture beautiful photos and make you feel absolutely comfortable, Gabe is, without a doubt, your man! Our first session which was my husband and I's engagement shoot, we were both soooo nervous because we've never had professional photos taken of us before. Soon after we met Gabe, he greeted us like we've known each other for years! As soon as we said "hi", we never regretted our decision with choosing him as our photographer. One word: PERFECT Gabe has an amazing way with people and if I wasn't already sold by the hundreds of comments raving about him, I was when he skipped towards us, smile beaming, and then proceeded to act as we've always been friends. No awkward silence, no overly posed photos, just the best you've ever looked on camera while somehow going about your normal life. I told Gabe before we started, "I don't photograph well, I freeze up." He just kept us talking in conversation and it hardly felt like we were taking photos at all. If our engagement photos are this AMAZING, I can hardly wait to see our wedding photos! (Updated review to come.) Where to begin.... My now husband and I were looking for a photographer for our wedding when we stumbled upon Gabe! Gabe took the time to really understand/know me and my husbands story, how we met, how we got engaged and everything in between! That was how I knew I wanted him to photograph our day. I needed to know that the person who took our photos really captured who we were as people. The photos we received were beyond anything we had ever imagined. Gabe is without a doubt the best photographer we have ever/ will ever know. That fact that he took the time to get to know us as a couple really spoke for itself and meant a lot. We were so comfortable at the first shoot, our engagement, Gabe just brings a great energy and creates a day you’ll never forget! Where do I begin with Gabe! Gabe was our engagement and wedding photographer in June of 2019 and I wouldn’t have had it any other way. I have followed Gabe’s work and have adored him for many many years, even before he was a full-time wedding photographer. My two sister-in-laws also used Gabe as their wedding photographer so I think that means he is officially part of our family! With Gabe at your wedding, it is guaranteed to be an amazing day. We searched high and low for the perfect photographer for this special time in our lives when we stumbled upon Gabe. First off, he is super hilarious and personal. Within minutes of meeting him it feels like you've known this dude forever. Booking him was the easiest decision of our wedding (having seen his work on a classmate's wedding, and reviewing his website/instagram page). I don’t know why this has taken me so long to write, but Gabe is the absolute BEST! He shot our wedding back in September and I couldn’t have been happier! His photos are literally so gorgeous, I couldn’t have asked for more. Plus he’s super fun, funny, and my entire family was obsessed with him! Gabe is honestly the best wedding photographer and human being! We stumbled upon his beautiful work on instagram and I reached out immediately. OMG Gabe is officially part of our family. My mom loves him, my husband loves him, my cat who hates everyone loves him, & you're going to love him. I'm gonna make this short so you can hurry & book him before your date is taken! He made us sooo comfortable, gave advice when we needed it, has an amazing eye, captured the most incredible moments of our engagement & wedding, and most importantly: he listened to us!! Day of the wedding we wanted to go to the beach but it was rainy & our planner didn't want me to mess up my dress. I said screw it, I need Gabe's incredible photos so we went and now have THE MOST AMAZING PHOTOS EVER!!! He's a frickin' party and we are having him take photos for us forever. Gabe is AMAZING!! Do yourself a favor and book him while you still can! You’ll thank me later!!! We heard about Gabe through a referral and checked out his photos and just fell in love with his style/aesthetic. We knew he would be the perfect person to photograph our wedding. We met Gabe face-to-face a couple of months ago for our engagement shoot and within the first couple of minutes of meeting him, it had felt like we had known him for years. He’s so personable! Also, getting your pictures taken is pretty awkward unless your a professional model but Gabe made us feel so comfortable throughout the entire process. In the end, our engagement photos turned out stunning and we are so excited that Gabe will be shooting our wedding in July 2020!

What a human! Planning a wedding is incredibly stressful - working with Gabriel Conover is not. On our wedding day, working with Gabe was both fun and fluid - in the midst of it all, you feel like you’re working with your good friend. His artistic eye made all the difference in our day and he is a master of capturing details!
