This is my first review because for the most part I don't believe in given them, but Gaby was the rare exception. I first met Gaby about a year before my wedding and within about 15 minutes; I knew that I didn't have to look any further. Going through her portfolio - seeing how dynamic and skillful she was, I knew she was going to great work. I don't normally like to get my picture taken, so when the engagement photo shoot came around I was nervous. Once again, Gaby was able to get me and my fiancee into it with some witty jokes; she really was able to take that "edge" off of being photographed. By the time the wedding came around, I felt like Gaby was a close friend. We joked, and laughed together at the wedding. She has the ability to make you feel truly the important ones on your special day. It's clear by her work, she is a go-to photographer for us and hopefully for brides and grooms looking for that photographer that stands out. Gaby is your girl. Thank you so much for making my wedding day truly one for the books.

A delight to work with. Gaby really knows her stuff. She was telling me that her experiences shooting overseas for charity really inspired her to do photography. I really enjoyed learning more about her path and journey as a photographer. She isn't just someone who shows up, snaps a few photos and sends out an invoice. She is so much more than that. I can't begin to describe how awesome she is. She shot my families holiday photo when everyone was in town and make that (normally painful experience) a true treat. Gaby is the BEST of the best when it comes to wedding photography--no question. Here are the biggest reasons why I loved having Gaby as my photographer: 1) Her pictures. They speak for themselves, and I would hang every single one on my wall tomorrow. They are seriously all that good--amazing, even. 2) She is relaxed and NEVER makes you feel stressed. In fact, the groomsmen even mentioned how "chill" she was and how much they enjoyed taking pictures on wedding day (when have you ever heard that?!). 3) She is the sweetest thing and makes you feel beautiful and comfortable when taking photos (a major plus when your soon-to-be spouse hates taking photos). 4) She is FUN! I had numerous guests tell me that they had never seen a happier or more fun photographer at a wedding--beat that! 5) After I knew that Gaby would photograph my wedding, I could relax completely about the photography, because I knew it would be stellar, and I was right.

Gaby is just exceptional. She was phenomenal to work with from the very beginning, all the way through our wedding day. She provides excellent guidance when planning timelines (which are SO important!!) and her direction during posed photos is fantastic. She really let us live in the moment on our wedding day, while still capturing gorgeous images. We can't recommend her more highly!

Gaby went above and beyond for our engagement and wedding photos, and we could not have been happier working with her. Gabrielle travelled to Baltimore for my son's wedding. Her work is incredible and she is a total joy! The weekend wouldn't have been the same without her and she captured all the special moments with her incredible style!

Gaby was the photographer for our wedding and I cannot say enough good things about her. We knew of Gaby's work after she shot a friend's wedding and we loved how their pictures came out. From our first intro call, we knew she would be a great fit. She's warm and kind, and made my camera-shy husband feel like he could feel comfortable around her. Throughout the planning process, Gaby gave great advice about how the flow of pictures would work, how to plan the logistics to facilitate easy photo-taking, etc. On the day of our wedding, Gaby and her associate, Stevi were amazing. They were quick and directive (when needed) but also blended so well into the background so my husband and I felt like we had some private moments together. Additionally, we had some transportation/ traffic issues and they both coordinated seamlessly with our wedding planner so that everyone got where they needed to be and we got all of the pictures we wanted. I wasn't involved in the nitty gritty logistics at all and I'm so grateful Gaby and Stevi were there to help. We're still waiting on the full album of pictures (our wedding was just last week!), but the pictures she's shared thus far have been beautiful. I'm so excited to see all of them and I know they'll be amazing.

Why aren't there 10 stars to rate this wonderful photographer and human being?! Extremely talented doesn't begin to cut it. Gaby is so good at finding magical light and capturing the sweetest of moments between you and your significant other. She made me feel comfortable and confident in her work! The truth is in the photos. They are spectacular. I HIGHLY recommend working with Gaby.

I looked through dozens of photographers in my area but could not find one that captures both portraits and the action shots of a party setting until I stumbled upon Gaby's page on the Knot. She has an eye for style and current trends while still staying classic and timeless. On top of being an absolute professional at what she does, she is the sweetest person to work with. My husband and I felt completely at ease with her taking engagement photos which arrived back to us within weeks. I'm so thankful that Gaby was our photographer for this very special day in my life, and I will cherish the photos that she took of our wedding forever.

I could honestly go on and on about how great Gaby is. We have received so many compliments on our engagement and wedding pictures. Let's be honest, sometimes it can be awkward getting your picture taken, especially for those natural engagement or family shots, but Gaby is so easy to work with and made us feel relaxed and comfortable. Gaby did an amazing job photographing our wedding! She did our engagement session too which allowed us all to get comfortable although we knew her from high school. She was great at giving direction, but we were allowed to be ourselves and it never felt forced. It was just fun, which made our day. On the day of the wedding Gaby and her second did a great job organizing photos of our large family and getting ready with her there was so fun too! We couldn't be happier with our final photos! Choosing favorites for printing has been impossible. So grateful to her for helping making our day perfect and capturing perfect moments!

My husband and I were referred to Gaby from professionals and couldn't have been more satisfied! Even with a short engagement, Gaby took the time to meet and/or talk with us on multiple occasions to make sure she was prepared for our wedding. Gaby is sweet, thorough and unbelievably talented. She just goes with the flow and is able to capture the most unique and natural images. A lot of people in my wedding party were taken aback by how calm she was and thought she needed to bark orders at people because that's what they had experienced in the past. I appreciated her not doing that and instead being confidant in her ability to find the right shots at the right time. When my husband and I took private shots with her, we were worried about feeling awkward posing in front of the camera, but she made it very natural and gave us very simple directions that were easy to follow. The sample of photos we have seen so far have been unbelievable and we cannot wait to see more. She made us look our absolute best. I cannot imagine a better experience and now we will have pictures we will cherish forever.

I was nervous about finding a photographer who was able to capture the subtleties of my traditional Orthodox Jewish wedding, and Gaby did an amazing job!! We love our pictures--stunning! I would definitely recommend Gaby to anyone, especially if they need someone who can tune into a "different" type of wedding.

I can not say enough good about our experience with Gabrielle Cheikh Photography. From the first appointment my daughter made with her, she has been a delight to work with! She listens well and offers suggestions, but without being over-bearing. She is very professional, yet super sweet and fun! Her communication with my daughter was always timely. Gaby is beyond amazing. She is personable, talented, creative, and has such an eye for the right shot. It was raining the day of our photo shoot, scheduled for outside at the IMA. She improvised in a way that I never would have thought about, creating the most beautiful, unique photos of me and my now husband. We love her!

When it comes down to it most wedding photos are the same. The only differences are the ideas that the couple use to decorate. But there are many things that set Gaby apart from the rest of the photographers. One major thing being that she is a girl. She sees the events in a completely different way. Some of that can be attributed to her personality. There's always that fine line to tread between being professional but letting enough of your personality come through. Gaby has found a way to do that and that's a lot of what sets her apart too. Most people in the world don't like to get super dressed up and/or don't want their pictures taken. Gaby has found a way to be able to make people feel comfortable and have a good time. She's also great about who she picks to have her help with the weddings. The second shooter was a great representation of Gaby also. She let Gaby's ideas flow and wasn't trying to make this her shoot. I've been friends with Gaby for a few years and when my best friend told me he was engaged, I immediately told him to talk to her for the pictures. I knew how insanely cute his wedding would be and I knew that Gaby would be able to make the ideas they had come to life. As the shoot went on I realized how much Gaby does at weddings. There are many behind the scene things that most people don't even notice or think about. Somehow Gaby catches everything. As great as she is with people and taking the photos, she might be better at anticipating challenges that might arise. She came prepared with a huuuuuge tackle box full of items that people could have forgotten. When she got to the venue she immediately started talking to owners of the venue and the bride and groom to set up back up plans just incase the weather didn't hold out(she had the forecast and time remembered). My friends ended up having the most beautiful wedding which can be seen in the photographs. But the memories and fun that were made by Gaby making this a stress free and fun event were just as great.

Gabrielle Cheikh was the photographer at a wedding I attended back in June. From the moment I and my guest arrived, we were greeted not only by the wedding party but by Gaby herself! She was so personable and friendly and introduced herself to everyone. When the pictures were posted I could see why she was so social. As a photographer myself I am incredibly critical of wedding photographers whenever I am apart of someone's big day. Gaby was a delight to be around all day and I could tell she was prepped with all the gear she needed to make the magic happen. She has an incredible demeanor which put everyone at ease and put a smile on our faces. She was full of creative ideas, awesome props, and found a variety of beautiful locations for the Bride and Groom and the wedding party. Gaby knows how to get the moment without being intrusive and/or bossy. She is efficient with her work so you can get the posed images you want and get back to celebrating. Her final images were stunning. She's fantastic with capturing intimate moments as well as fun filled candids of the guests. I would highly recommend her for how easy going she makes the day and the fantastic range of pictures you get to remember it.

We first hired Gaby to do our engagement photos. Holy cow did she blow us away with her amazing photos!! She not only came up with the perfect spot but came with adorable props and was so great with her direction!! She is the SWEETEST person and made us so comfortable!! I am a wedding planner and have worked with Gabrielle Cheikh Photography on multiple occasions for weddings, but she also does my personal family photos! In all respects, she is fun, engaging, and easy to work with. Not only does she make you feel at ease, but she also gets all those shots that you want, and even some you didn't know you wanted. She is creative, but not over the top. Gabrielle has placed herself of the map of Indianapolis, wedding, portrait and commercial photography...don't miss out!
