As the bride and groom, we wanted to capture the fleeting, unforgettable moments of our big day as we’ve been told it goes by in the blink of an eye! We were fortunate enough to re...
ceive a recommendation from our wedding venue, Norfolk Botanical Gardens, for an incredibly talented live string quartet, The Galliard Trio, who exceeded our every expectation! We mostly interacted with Kathy from The Galliard Trio, and what struck us most about Kathy was her ability to capture, transform and bring to life the ideas we had for the vision of the ceremony and cocktail hour without missing a beat. Her attention to detail and artistic ear brought out the smallest, most tender moments that may have otherwise been overlooked. We received so many compliments on our music selection for the ceremony!
The Galliard Trio were not only a master with strings, but were also true professionals. They arrived on time, maintained a friendly and approachable demeanor, and made us feel truly at ease throughout the whole day! Kathy’s level of communication is impeccable as she was always willing to answer an email or call whenever we had a question, so we knew we were in good hands the day of the wedding. They were true champions throughout our outdoor wedding, on July 12th, in Virginia! Kathy even suggested many helpful tips as we were working to make our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour playlists!
During the ceremony and cocktail hour, they played all of our chosen music and kept the energy light and airy the whole night. We’ve had several guests mention to us, when talking about the wedding, how good the music selection was and how much fun they had! We owe a lot to The Galliard Trio!
Working with The Galliard Trio has been an absolute pleasure from start to finish. Their exceptional talent, professionalism, and dedication to their craft makes them a stand out choice in the world of live wedding music! Overall, we couldn’t have been happier with our string quartet choice and we cannot recommend The Galliard Trio enough to have an unforgettable wedding day! - The Canavoses
They came through in a pinch. Our accompanist for the event fell through less than a week before the wedding. They were able to jump in and keep everything moving along. Their musi...
c was quiet good and they were a pleasure to work with.
They were wonderful! I received so many compliments on their sound! They had a large selection of songs and were very easy to work with!
We are so grateful to the Galliard Trio for the beautiful music at our ceremony. We decided we wanted live ceremony music late in the planning process, so we really appreciated the...
ir flexibility on short notice. Highly recommend for any event!
What a wonderful group of musicians! I was frantic about ceremony music - the church we got married in only had an electric keyboard, which had the ability to play organ sounds, bu...
t I either wanted the real thing or no organ at all. Since I thought the electric keyboard was kind of lame, I had pretty much given up hope on ceremony music. Then I stumbled upon the Galliard Trio - thank goodness I did!! They were SO easy to work with, their music is amazing, and they made the ceremony absolutely beautiful. The cues were flawless, and they did not miss a single beat. Highly recommend them for your ceremony! I thought having a trio in a church would be strange (as opposed to an outdoor wedding) but I was wrong - they made the ceremony!
The Galliard Trio played for my daughter's wedding ceremony in our backyard and were excellent! I had several guests comment on how beautiful and special the music sounded. The g...
roup was very accommodating when we had to move their location due to wind. Even though it was a large wedding and venue you could hear them perfectly. When my daughter chose a unique song for the recessional, they found an arrangement for it and played it just the way she wanted. I would highly recommend the Galliard Trio for wedding ceremonies.
The Galliard Trio was very easy to work with and did a wonderful job. As the bride, I didn't get to hear a lot of the music played before the wedding, but everyone gave us many com...
pliments about how nice it was. They were very helpful in picking songs and prompt in responses to emails. I would definitely recommend them to others.
Professional, easy to work with, excellent performance during my wedding ceremony.
This group was phenomenal to work with. From our initial email contact to song samples and wedding day coordination, Galliard Trio was the perfect backdrop to our outdoor Botanical...
Garden wedding. Strongly recommend!
Ceremony music was perfect. They were dressed professionally, on time, and performed beautifully. We would choose them again in a heartbeat.
I was so impressed with the Galliard Trio! They responded quickly to initial inquiries, mailed us a CD with clips of their repertoire, which is extensive, along with the contract. ...
Their rates are very reasonable. They answered all questions and made the process very easy. They arrived on time, were prepared, very professional - and the music was gorgeous!! I highly recommend the Galliard Trio!
I was married 3 weeks ago and the Galliard Trio performed both the ceremony music and the pre-reception music for my wedding. They are incredible musicians! I have a degree in mu...
sic performance and can say that each one is an exceptional musician! All are either actively performing with the Virginia Symphony or have performed with them in the past. Their musicianship is just exquisite! They made my wedding magical and working with them is wonderful! They are both professional and outgoing, and they will work with you to ensure that you have the music you have always dreamed of having in your wedding. They are all classically trained but can play in any genre. They performed in both my brother's wedding in 2008 and my sister's wedding last year and each time we have had nothing but phenomenal music! Words cannot express how wonderful these musicians are. I am SO honored that they played for my wedding!
I would highly recommend this trio for a ceremony, reception or any event! Great sound and they added such a great touch to our wedding ceremony!!
The trio was a wonderful addition to our ceremony
