The entire team at Gals and Ghouls was absolutely amazing for my wedding! They worked with me every step of the way and gave me expert advice when I had questions about my skin type or how to keep my hair curled. My entire wedding party loved them and were very happy with the hair and makeup that lasted all day! They even did hair for my two flower girls (4 and 6 years old), who usually don't let anyone touch their hair. They worked with them so well. I would recommend Gals and Ghouls to anyone who wants great work and a team who is very professional, at the same time having a fun and laid back attitude!

I absolutely adored working with Liz for my hair and Dayna for my makeup for my small, intimate wedding ceremony in January. Both Liz and Dayna were attentive, took feedback well, and were able to work with my hair texture and skin tone which was a massive concern for me as a person of color. I went into my trial confused about how I should do my hair, and Liz was able to talk me through my options and work with me as we figured out what hairstyle would suit me best and be exactly what I wanted. At the trial, I specifically told Dayna about my fears about bronzer, of feeling "glammed up" without losing my natural coloring, and Dayna was attentive, responsive, and the most welcoming professional. On my wedding day, they were on time, well-prepared, gave *great* instructions to keep me comfortable, and continuously supported and listened to me as I got ready on my special day. Liz worked with my mother and I as we figured out how to put on a traditional headpiece (maang tika) that she had never worked with before, and she killed it! The makeup brushes kit I got at the end was *so nice* and I knew I could go into the night without a worry and the ability to touch up my makeup. I truly could not recommend Gals and Ghouls more, they were worth every single penny and more. I also absolutely must add that I love that they're quirky and called "Gals and Ghouls," for me that was an absolute selling point.

Dayna and team were fantastic to work with during my September wedding. They were extremely attentive to what I wanted for my makeup and hair as a bride and were open to any feedback I had during the trial process and day of (not that there was any, but it was so nice to be heard!). The day of, my girls and I were able to relax while getting our hair and makeup done because of them, which was so needed during what could have been a very stressful day! My bridesmaids decided last minute that they wanted to get their makeup done as well for my wedding (I gave them the option to do hair or hair and makeup, and they changed their mind closer to the date). The Gals and Ghouls admin, Lynn was really receptive and understanding, so we were able to get that squared away with no issues! My maid of honor and bridesmaids have been in many weddings before and they also raved about how professional their team was and how good they felt getting glammed up. I look forward to recommending them to more brides that I know for their big days as well!

The ladies of Gals and Ghouls came in the clutch when I had poor communication with my original vendor. They are very professional and do not push you into anything you do not like. As someone that does not wear make up I felt very comfortable and natural with the look I had. Sarah and Dayna were amazing, they were very timely with arrival to the venue. Touch up kits were provided to all of the wedding party that had hair and makeup done which was very needed throughout the rest of the day.

Of all the vendors I booked for my wedding, this was one of the most difficult for me to pick because I don’t do much with my hair very often and had no clue what I really wanted. Gals and Ghouls was amazing to work with. Very easy to communicate with and SUPER helpful. I would recommend them to everyone. They allow trials before you book so you know the service you’re going to get! Jackie worked with me to find the perfect hairstyle that felt elegant while still making sure I felt like myself. She was even able to help my mom, who had recently finished chemo, with her wig. We felt beautiful all day long. The hair lasted all night for the wedding and also into the next day. I can't say enough nice things about this place, and Jackie is the absolute best!

I booked with gals and ghouls because I wasn’t looking for a traditional bride makeup. We wanted a Halloween themed wedding with us being zombies. Looking at their portfolio I knew they were the best for what we wanted and let me tell you Dayna did not disappoint! She was amazing. Showed up at our location on time, was extremely professional and worked her magic. I would recommend them to everyone whether looking for typical bridal makeup or a ghoulish style. You won’t be disappointed!

I initially booked gals and ghouls because I wanted a darker, dramatic make up look for my day, and I was not disappointed! Dayna and Meghan made me feel so comfortable during my trials and day off! They listened to what I wanted, checked in frequently to make sure I was happy with my look, and were so open and kind to me and my bridesmaids!! Christine and Cate from Gals and Ghouls did a gorgeous job on my makeup and all of my bridal party. They gave me exactly what I was looking for, which was a more natural look with just a bit of pizzazz since I don't normally wear makeup. They also made me feel very comfortable with the entire process, since again, I don't normally wear makeup. In fact it was quite relaxing! I very much look forward to using their services again if I ever need to have my makeup done.

Brides beware!! They are very slow to respond and communicate expectations poorly. Their cancellation policy is 72 hours once the contract is signed and they seemingly intentionally do not respond in a timely manner within the cancellation window. Once outside of the cancellation window they were more responsive, however rude and unwilling to flex on their policy even after citing reasons why I was uncomfortable moving forward with their hair services, and willingness to work with them before deciding to cancel (the result was not what I wanted and I communicated this within 24 hours to them). I was dissatisfied with the hair trial for my wedding, which was voiced during the trial and dismissed, and now I am stuck with a non-refundable deposit because of their poor communication practices. I politely requested the difference of the deposit and trial services refunded to me, and was met with extreme defensiveness. Be careful when referencing their “not normal business hours” approach, because they will use this to say that just about any time that you contact them does not fall within that time frame. This is the main concern, I had high hopes and excitement for their services based on previous reviews, and was incredibly disappointed with the way they do business. Aside from that, Kaity who did my makeup was absolutely incredible. I started with wanting “natural but amp-ed up” and then realized I liked a lot more glam. She listened and provided advice, gave me exactly like my inspiration, and the makeup lasted all day – even after a gym workout. If you are confident in your services and need no changes, this make-up is worth it.

our experience with our communication and cancellation policies did not meet your expectations. While we understand your frustration with our response time, we did apologize both in emails and on the phone for our responses not be as fast as you were hoping for. As a small business, we have limited resources and do not have office hours, and we always ask for 2-3 business days to respond on our website's connect page. Regarding your hair trial, we understand that it was not what you were hoping for, but our stylist provided the service you requested, and you did not express your dissatisfaction during the trial. There was a miscommunication, and the stylist left thinking that you were happy with the style. Our response regarding your dissatisfaction with trial took less then 48 hours and was due to our Administrative Assistant being out of town for one day as well as reaching out to us and your hairstylist to understand what happened at your hair trial. We have never been rude or nasty to you, and we have always been willing to work with you within the boundaries of our contract. We were willing to offer you a steeply discounted trial as well as the option to cancel just the hair services and continue with the makeup services, but you wanted to bend and break the rules, which we could not accommodate. Stating dissatisfaction with services does not count as a formal request for cancellation, and we cannot make exceptions to our contract as we have to protect our team members' livelihood. We would also like to clarify that our cancellation policy is clearly stated in our contract, which you signed, and it is our responsibility to uphold it. We are disappointed that your experience did not meet your expectations and that you feel undervalued as a customer. We are a small business, and we take our clients' satisfaction seriously and will make changes based on your feedback. We are confident that you will find a hair and makeup team that will be a better match for you and wish you nothing but the absolute best.

I LOVED THESE GALS! They were an absolute dream to work with. Their communication was quick and reliable, and they were so much fun at both my trial and wedding day! All my girls looked beautiful and the makeup stayed on ALL NIGHT. I can’t get over how beautiful our hair turned out! I decided close to the last minute that I was going to do my own makeup (thanks, anxiety!!) and they were so nice and chill about it, even saying they would still cheer me on as I did it! My sweet mommy never gets her hair and makeup done, but they made her look so snazzy! My MIL looked super pretty too! I loved them and am one happy Hobbit!

Gals and Ghouls provided hair services for my wedding and everything went great. The team here is punctual and communicative. Their makeup services ended up not being a great match for me, and they made it super easy to remove it from my contract (although they also increased the cost of my hair services at that time due to their menu pricing having gone up since the contract was first signed). My hair held up all night long and looked amazing. Overall a great team of people to work with!

Both the make up lady and hair lady were punctual, professional, and phenomenal at their jobs! I wanted them so bad for my wedding and they delivered. I had 6 brides maids, plus 2 kids and they got everything done on time. It was fun talking to them and having them in my space while getting ready. I have nothing but great things to say!! My wedding date got moved not by choice and it was horribleZ I was stressed a bride. I found gals and ghouls and I am I thankful. They are so affordable but the makeup they do is beautiful. I felt bad but my party how good the makeup was and wanted theirs done. They fit two extra people. My makeup lasted my wedding. My wedding party and got had so many compliants on our makeup. Also can we just talk about the artists they came to our hotel. They were so nice and put on great music to get us hype for a wedding! Long review but I can’t recommend anything better for the price!

I did not get to experience the services of the main people on my wedding day but did get to have a trial done with Meghan. I was unsure of what kind of styles/colors I would like and she tried to work with me in that aspect, but I, unfortunately, wasn't totally into the look, especially after stepping out into the heat and humidity of Michigan summer, but I was confident that she would be understanding and be able to nail the look on the day. Sadly, there was a scheduling conflict and neither artist was able to make it to the wedding, but they found a contract makeup artist and communicated with me very well.

This team was absolutely phenomenal for my wedding day! Throughout the entire process (complicated by the pandemic) they were so flexible, understanding, and wanted to make sure everything was just perfect for my day. They even met me and my family to trial their products on our crazy sensitive/reaction prone skin (which passed the test, no reaction whatsoever)! Application of the makeup was just as great, making sure to make my dream look work for my face. My hair and makeup lasted the entire day/night, through one of the craziest rainstorms I've ever seen. I cannot recommend these ladies enough for any styling needs, I could not have hired anyone better!

I would highly recommend Gals and Ghouls for whatever event you need makeup as well as hair services! I treated my bridesmaids and mother to hair and makeup for my wedding day and they looked phenomenal. Most of my communication was with Dayna, she is professional, talented, kind and very easy to work with. I had a few hiccups in my planning process and she was so willing to accommodate my needs to make my day 100% perfect.

I cannot recommend this company more! Meghan and Dayna were very professional in their communication and helped us out in short notice. Our makeup was stunning and even through the 90* heat on our wedding day, I was pleased with how it looked! They even helped my mom with a very subtle look and she never wears makeup. Thank you over and over again!!!

Our makeup turned out wonderful! Meghan was very professional but also made us feel comfortable, made us laugh, and answered all of our questions. She worked well coordinating with our hair stylist to make sure everything got done on time. She was very accommodating and flexible when scheduling a trial as well!

Dana did myself and my mother’s make up for my wedding on 7/31/2021. She was phenomenal, great set up and make up, I gave her my inspiration and she executed it perfectly, and my make up was perfect all day! Great price excellent service will use them again if the event arises!

I used Gals & Ghouls for my recent wedding. We had 9 adults and 1 child for hair and makeup. I appreciated that they brought 3 stylists so we could get done in the amount of time I asked for, rather than having to start at 7am on my wedding day and be exhausted. They were very sweet and accommodated the last minute addition of my step daughter, as well as another out of town wedding guest who asked if she could join. They listened to all my preferences, adjusted makeup coverage and colors to suit each person, and made everyone look like a million bucks. The airbrush makeup stayed all day and into he night with no smudging/caking/fading. The team was a joy to work with and I would definitely recommend them to anyone wanting "natural glam", easy communication, friendly stylists, on time finish, and a stress free wedding day! Oh, and get the touch up kits, it was awesome to have more of the custom lip color for touch ups.

I had experienced Gals & Ghouls at my Friends wedding in 2020, and my first thought was this is the best hair/make-up I have ever had. My gut reaction was to hire them for my wedding, and I do not regret it at all. They were all so amazing, and were easy to work with. Plus, they made me look so amazing/beautiful! I would give them 10 stars if it was possibly and I highly recommend them to anyone wanting awesome service. Also, all of them are fun to be around which is always an added benefit :)

Meghan and Dayna did such an amazing job on my wedding day! They did makeup for me, 4 bridesmaids, 2 moms and a groomswoman- and everyone ended up happy with their makeup! Several of us rarely wear makeup and they made it such an enjoyable experience and left everyone feeling beautiful and comfortable with how much they were wearing! Also, the makeup stayed with no issues the whole night through hot weather and sunshine, and late night dancing. Highly recommend Gals and Ghouls!

I booked Meghan and Dayna for on location make up for my wedding day. They made me and my girls look AMAZING!! And they were so pleasant and fun to be around on such a stressful day! I wear make up only a few times a YEAR, so I was very nervous that I wouldn't look like myself. I asked for a light glam and they delivered! I looked and felt SO beautiful and completely like myself. We had to change our wedding date due to COVID and before we had the chance to book our hair and makeup, so we had a very tight timeline to find someone that fit our needs and the COVID requirements. These ladies were great, I can’t say enough good things about them! They arrived early, were very organized, and made sure all of our hair and makeup was done on time! They also ensured they followed COVID restrictions while making sure that the wedding party looked their best! These ladies work very well off of inspirational photos and match them to a tee! I would highly recommend for any wedding!

My original hair & makeup team cancelled on me a couple months before the wedding. I quickly turned to theknot to help me find someone new, and I stumbled on Gals & Ghouls. They came to the rescue & knocked it out of the park. I ordered the bridal hair & makeup with preview package. We set up my preview to be the day of my bridal shower so that I was looking good for that party. They came all the way to my house early in the morning so that I could make it to the shower on time in the opposite direction. Everyone loved how it all turned out.... & while I did too, I decided last minute to actually change both styles for my hair & makeup just days before the wedding. They were very accommodating, offered great advice & it turned out better than I could have imagined. I had 3 of my bridesmaids get makeup done, and 6 do their hair. These ladies came to our hotel on wedding day to get us ready & even with that many girls, they stayed ahead of schedule the entire time. Everyone loved how their looks turned out!! I am dying to get my pictures back to brag about just how awesome it all looked! They were very responsive to any questions and all my emails. Payments were simple. & the stylists were so much fun to talk to while getting us ready as well! I am so glad I found them & that they were available. These ladies will be very highly recommended by me.

I hired Gals & Ghouls for my wedding and couldn't have asked for better service or a better result! They really took the time to understand the look that I wanted and absolutely nailed it (and made slight adjustments that I requested to ensure it was 100% perfect and exactly what I wanted). I have truly never felt more beautiful in my life than I did on my wedding day, thanks to them! To top it off, they were very professional, easy to work with, and responsive. I cannot thank Gals & Ghouls enough for the amazing service that they provided me not only for my engagement shoot, but on my big day as well! Dayna was fabulous and very helpful. She even helped my MOH put her lashes on (even though she wasnt having makeup services done)! Ashley did a fine job of everyones hair! Although she was quick and efficient, she really took the time to make sure that my Tiara stayed on my head. I plan on coming back for more services next year when I do a skeleton makeup photoshoot for our anniversary 💕
