We had hair and make up done for our wedding. Everything looked amazing and withstood pictures in the snow/ rain, and a night full of dancing. Absolutely would recommend!

I booked with gals and ghouls because I wasn’t looking for a traditional bride makeup. We wanted a Halloween themed wedding with us being zombies. Looking at their portfolio I knew they were the best for what we wanted and let me tell you Dayna did not disappoint! She was amazing. Showed up at our location on time, was extremely professional and worked her magic. I would recommend them to everyone whether looking for typical bridal makeup or a ghoulish style. You won’t be disappointed!

Had a great experience with Gals & Ghouls! They were incredibly responsive, professional, & had very reasonable prices. My venue even made a comment about them being one of the better hair/makeup vendors they have worked with! Christine & Carolina were A+ and highly recommend them.

I initially booked gals and ghouls because I wanted a darker, dramatic make up look for my day, and I was not disappointed! Dayna and Meghan made me feel so comfortable during my trials and day off! They listened to what I wanted, checked in frequently to make sure I was happy with my look, and were so open and kind to me and my bridesmaids!! You could tell they were enjoying what they did day off, and that made the getting ready process that much more joyful! I would recommend Gals and Ghouls to anyone!

I absolutely loved my day of makeup!

I used them for my wedding in May 2023. I love them! I did a trial before the wedding and had my entire bridal party with my mom and mother in law. They were timely and professional, finishing on time. I will for sure be using them in the future for events!

Meghan was wonderful the day of my wedding--and the glam stayed all night! I felt confident and Meghan and staff were so easy to work with. It felt like a friend was doing my make up.

We scheduled last minute with gals and ghouls but you would have never known. The girls arrived in a timely matter and stayed right on schedule.

Christine and Cate from Gals and Ghouls did a gorgeous job on my makeup and all of my bridal party. They gave me exactly what I was looking for, which was a more natural look with just a bit of pizzazz since I don't normally wear makeup. They also made me feel very comfortable with the entire process, since again, I don't normally wear makeup. In fact it was quite relaxing! I very much look forward to using their services again if I ever need to have my makeup done.

Brides beware!! They are very slow to respond and communicate expectations poorly. Their cancellation policy is 72 hours once the contract is signed and they seemingly intentionally do not respond in a timely manner within the cancellation window. Once outside of the cancellation window they were more responsive, however rude and unwilling to flex on their policy even after citing reasons why I was uncomfortable moving forward with their hair services, and willingness to work with them before deciding to cancel (the result was not what I wanted and I communicated this within 24 hours to them). I was dissatisfied with the hair trial for my wedding, which was voiced during the trial and dismissed, and now I am stuck with a non-refundable deposit because of their poor communication practices. I politely requested the difference of the deposit and trial services refunded to me, and was met with extreme defensiveness. Be careful when referencing their “not normal business hours” approach, because they will use this to say that just about any time that you contact them does not fall within that time frame. This is the main concern, I had high hopes and excitement for their services based on previous reviews, and was incredibly disappointed with the way they do business. Aside from that, Kaity who did my makeup was absolutely incredible. I started with wanting “natural but amp-ed up” and then realized I liked a lot more glam. She listened and provided advice, gave me exactly like my inspiration, and the makeup lasted all day – even after a gym workout. If you are confident in your services and need no changes, this make-up is worth it.

They were so great! I chose them for the diversity in their portfolio and they made each and every member of my bridal party look stunning- working with their natural beauty and staying within the vibe of my event while also helping each member feel confident and comfortable. The team was flexible, on time and efficient. Highly recommend.

I LOVED THESE GALS! They were an absolute dream to work with. Their communication was quick and reliable, and they were so much fun at both my trial and wedding day! All my girls looked beautiful and the makeup stayed on ALL NIGHT. I can’t get over how beautiful our hair turned out! I decided close to the last minute that I was going to do my own makeup (thanks, anxiety!!) and they were so nice and chill about it, even saying they would still cheer me on as I did it! My sweet mommy never gets her hair and makeup done, but they made her look so snazzy! My MIL looked super pretty too! I loved them and am one happy Hobbit!

They were amazing to work with. We had a great trial appointment and it was so productive. The day of all my bridal party and family looked and felt beautiful. I am so glad I was able to book them and would definitely recommend them for anyones special day!

Gals and Ghouls provided hair services for my wedding and everything went great. The team here is punctual and communicative. Their makeup services ended up not being a great match for me, and they made it super easy to remove it from my contract (although they also increased the cost of my hair services at that time due to their menu pricing having gone up since the contract was first signed). My hair held up all night long and looked amazing. Overall a great team of people to work with!

these girls can do it all. I'm on alternative side and they 100% got the vibe right. quick also! we had a small snafu with location that should have put us way behind schedule but they cranked that sh*t out!

Katy and Kelly were great to work with for both the trail and wedding day. Kelly is a wiz with hair and creates amazing looks in a super quick and efficient way. Katy is very attentive and makes sure every step of the way to confirm the look you are going for to make your makeup dreams come true!

Fantastic service! The team really listened to what I wanted as the bride but also what the girls wanted for their look. They always checked in as they were doing the makeup to see if they needed to add more or if it was fine the way it was. They were prompt and very professional. Highly recommend!

Both the make up lady and hair lady were punctual, professional, and phenomenal at their jobs! I wanted them so bad for my wedding and they delivered. I had 6 brides maids, plus 2 kids and they got everything done on time. It was fun talking to them and having them in my space while getting ready. Cant wait to hire them again for anniversary parties and for my daughters dance recitals.

I have nothing but great things to say!! My wedding date got moved not by choice and it was horribleZ I was stressed a bride. I found gals and ghouls and I am I thankful. They are so affordable but the makeup they do is beautiful. I felt bad but my party how good the makeup was and wanted theirs done. They fit two extra people. My makeup lasted my wedding. My wedding party and got had so many compliants on our makeup. Also can we just talk about the artists they came to our hotel. They were so nice and put on great music to get us hype for a wedding! Long review but I can’t recommend anything better for the price!

The team was awesome to work with and a ton of fun. Our hair and make up turned out beautifully and stayed put the entire day through dancing, eating, and Michigan winter weather.

Gals & Ghouls did makeup for me and my whole wedding party for my wedding. They had great communication throughout the whole process. I did a trial for hair and makeup and they made sure to follow up after the trial to see if there was anything I wanted to change before the big day. They were all so friendly and a pleasure to work with. We all looked beautiful and everything turned out wonderfully.

I did not get to experience the services of the main people on my wedding day but did get to have a trial done with Meghan. I was unsure of what kind of styles/colors I would like and she tried to work with me in that aspect, but I, unfortunately, wasn't totally into the look, especially after stepping out into the heat and humidity of Michigan summer, but I was confident that she would be understanding and be able to nail the look on the day. Sadly, there was a scheduling conflict and neither artist was able to make it to the wedding, but they found a contract makeup artist and communicated with me very well.

This team was absolutely phenomenal for my wedding day! Throughout the entire process (complicated by the pandemic) they were so flexible, understanding, and wanted to make sure everything was just perfect for my day. They even met me and my family to trial their products on our crazy sensitive/reaction prone skin (which passed the test, no reaction whatsoever)! Application of the makeup was just as great, making sure to make my dream look work for my face. My hair and makeup lasted the entire day/night, through one of the craziest rainstorms I've ever seen. I cannot recommend these ladies enough for any styling needs, I could not have hired anyone better!

I would highly recommend Gals and Ghouls for whatever event you need makeup as well as hair services! I treated my bridesmaids and mother to hair and makeup for my wedding day and they looked phenomenal. Most of my communication was with Dayna, she is professional, talented, kind and very easy to work with. I had a few hiccups in my planning process and she was so willing to accommodate my needs to make my day 100% perfect.

Our makeup was stunning and even through the 90* heat on our wedding day, I was pleased with how it looked! They even helped my mom with a very subtle look and she never wears makeup. Meghan did so amazing on my makeup for my boudoir session! She made me feel so beautiful, and I can be picky about my makeup, but she did such an amazing job!

Our makeup turned out wonderful! Meghan was very professional but also made us feel comfortable, made us laugh, and answered all of our questions. She worked well coordinating with our hair stylist to make sure everything got done on time. She was very accommodating and flexible when scheduling a trial as well!

Dana did myself and my mother’s make up for my wedding on 7/31/2021. She was phenomenal, great set up and make up, I gave her my inspiration and she executed it perfectly, and my make up was perfect all day! Great price excellent service will use them again if the event arises!

I used Gals & Ghouls for my recent wedding. We had 9 adults and 1 child for hair and makeup. I appreciated that they brought 3 stylists so we could get done in the amount of time I asked for, rather than having to start at 7am on my wedding day and be exhausted. They were very sweet and accommodated the last minute addition of my step daughter, as well as another out of town wedding guest who asked if she could join. They listened to all my preferences, adjusted makeup coverage and colors to suit each person, and made everyone look like a million bucks. The airbrush makeup stayed all day and into he night with no smudging/caking/fading. The team was a joy to work with and I would definitely recommend them to anyone wanting "natural glam", easy communication, friendly stylists, on time finish, and a stress free wedding day! Oh, and get the touch up kits, it was awesome to have more of the custom lip color for touch ups.

Meghan and Dayna were super easy to work with from the very beginning and were always super helpful and patient with the millions of questions and changes I had come up with our wedding. They made my bridesmaids and I look awesome for the day of. I would definitely book them again!

I had experienced Gals & Ghouls at my Friends wedding in 2020, and my first thought was this is the best hair/make-up I have ever had. My gut reaction was to hire them for my wedding, and I do not regret it at all. They were all so amazing, and were easy to work with. Plus, they made me look so amazing/beautiful! I would give them 10 stars if it was possibly and I highly recommend them to anyone wanting awesome service. Also, all of them are fun to be around which is always an added benefit :)

Meghan and Dayna did such an amazing job on my wedding day! They did makeup for me, 4 bridesmaids, 2 moms and a groomswoman- and everyone ended up happy with their makeup! Several of us rarely wear makeup and they made it such an enjoyable experience and left everyone feeling beautiful and comfortable with how much they were wearing! Also, the makeup stayed with no issues the whole night through hot weather and sunshine, and late night dancing. Highly recommend Gals and Ghouls!

I booked Meghan and Dayna for on location make up for my wedding day. They made me and my girls look AMAZING!! And they were so pleasant and fun to be around on such a stressful day! I wear make up only a few times a YEAR, so I was very nervous that I wouldn't look like myself. I asked for a light glam and they delivered! I looked and felt SO beautiful and completely like myself. They also had to work with new covid guidelines and made us all feel so comfortable and safe regarding their procedures. Thanks again Meghan and Dayna!!

We had to change our wedding date due to COVID and before we had the chance to book our hair and makeup, so we had a very tight timeline to find someone that fit our needs and the COVID requirements. These ladies were great, I can’t say enough good things about them! They arrived early, were very organized, and made sure all of our hair and makeup was done on time! They also ensured they followed COVID restrictions while making sure that the wedding party looked their best! These ladies work very well off of inspirational photos and match them to a tee! I would highly recommend for any wedding!

My original hair & makeup team cancelled on me a couple months before the wedding. I quickly turned to theknot to help me find someone new, and I stumbled on Gals & Ghouls. They came to the rescue & knocked it out of the park. I ordered the bridal hair & makeup with preview package. We set up my preview to be the day of my bridal shower so that I was looking good for that party. They came all the way to my house early in the morning so that I could make it to the shower on time in the opposite direction. Everyone loved how it all turned out.... & while I did too, I decided last minute to actually change both styles for my hair & makeup just days before the wedding. They were very accommodating, offered great advice & it turned out better than I could have imagined. I had 3 of my bridesmaids get makeup done, and 6 do their hair. These ladies came to our hotel on wedding day to get us ready & even with that many girls, they stayed ahead of schedule the entire time. Everyone loved how their looks turned out!! I am dying to get my pictures back to brag about just how awesome it all looked! They were very responsive to any questions and all my emails. Payments were simple. & the stylists were so much fun to talk to while getting us ready as well! I am so glad I found them & that they were available. These ladies will be very highly recommended by me.

I hired Gals & Ghouls for my wedding and couldn't have asked for better service or a better result! They really took the time to understand the look that I wanted and absolutely nailed it (and made slight adjustments that I requested to ensure it was 100% perfect and exactly what I wanted). I have truly never felt more beautiful in my life than I did on my wedding day, thanks to them! To top it off, they were very professional, easy to work with, and responsive. I'm so happy I chose them!

I cannot thank Gals & Ghouls enough for the amazing service that they provided me not only for my engagement shoot, but on my big day as well! Dayna was fabulous and very helpful. She even helped my MOH put her lashes on (even though she wasnt having makeup services done)! Ashley did a fine job of everyones hair! Although she was quick and efficient, she really took the time to make sure that my Tiara stayed on my head. I plan on coming back for more services next year when I do a skeleton makeup photoshoot for our anniversary 💕

Excellent service - perfect hair and makeup! I had the BEST experience working with Gals and Ghouls for my wedding! They answered all my questions, addressed all my concerns, and gave suggestions as well. They were flexible in working with me for my trial and upfront and honest about everything. I couldn't believe how I looked - I felt like a goddess and the hair/makeup last all night! Others who got hair/makeup services were so pleased with how it looked and held up. Also their planning, booking, and communication process is excellent. I am planning on using them again for their "ghouls" portion someday and very much looking forward to it - so much talent!!!

My wedding was small without a bridal party - just myself and my 8 year old daughter needed hair and/or make up. Dayna and Kelly showed up on time and they were beyond professional. Dayna took the time to talk about different foundation applications and how it would photograph and why she chose certain products for my skin specifically. I absolutely loved how my make up turned out and it looks amazing in my wedding photos. I am still obsessing over my hairstyle and my daughters hair looked so good, the style fit her perfectly. Both ladies were so sweet and accommodating. I felt so at ease in their hands and loved being able to have such good conversation with them both. I cannot say enough good things about Gals & Ghouls!

Meghan and Dayna are amazing! From my last-minute inquiry about engagement photos to my wedding, Meghan was able to coordinate everything easily, along with flawlessly doing my make-up. Her technique allowed my make-up to hold on in 95 degree weather without looking like I was melting. Gals and Ghouls made getting ready the day of my wedding so much fun; and me, along with my family and bridesmaids were so pleased with how beautiful and natural we looked. They are so professional and efficient and even had time to do my 84-year-old grandma's make up! Highly recommend their services they are awesome!

Dayna had to do double duty for our wedding ceremony because we were also performing a ballroom dance routine! After getting some makeup that would look great under the direct lights, she then had to quickly re-apply as we did a fast costume change and got back on stage for the actual ceremony. Throughout the whole day she was calm and professional, which was reassuring amongst the rest of the chaos. My husband and I are very happy with her service and attention to detail.

Dayna was such a pleasure working with! Her and Meghan were always easy to contact with any questions and always responded within 24hrs! Dayna did makeup for myself and one of my bridesmaids and we looked amazing! We both did airbrush and it stayed on all day and was great quality. Dayna was very nice and respectful, great company, and fully made sure you were happy before leaving. Would definitely use again!

Dayna is absolutely amazing!!!! She came out and did a trial and it went beautifully! I did end up having a weird reaction to the setting spray so I contacted her and let her know. She came out a few days after and did an allergy test to make sure we knew what product did it. Got it all figured out and she let me bring my own setting spray and applied it for me. She was also very up front about not having the lip color I really wanted in a long wear and asked me if I had one to bring it with and she would put it on me. She did an amazing job! I was happy and my girls were happy and I will be recommending them a lot in the future!

Read all. While the women of this company were more than pleasant to work with during my hair and makeup trial, that went out the window the day of our wedding. I was specifically told to allow 45 min - 1 hour per bridesmaid for hair. I made a schedule for my bridesmaids as to when their appointment time would be. Each girl took MAYBE 15-20 minutes (definitely not an hour). Because of this the two bridesmaids we had showing up later in the morning for hair (one a brand new mom, one a very pregnant bridesmaid) were not able to get their hair done because they had another apparently more important wedding party to get to. According to our contract they were supposed to be with our group from 7:45am to 1:30pm and when they arrived to my surprise they said they had to be gone by 10:30am. Three hours early. My sister and maid-of-honor who had more than enough responsibilities that day, had to run to the store to buy heating tools in order to do their hair for them when they arrived. In addition, while it was a hot day - high 80s and humid - my makeup completely sweat off within only an hour of application. $80 for air-brush makeup that was completely gone (except for lashes) by the time we made it to the venue. I was not given a refund for the women who did not have their services performed and quite frankly not offered a good enough apology. This was an incredibly stressful day and for this to be the first thing we had to deal with in the morning was beyond frustrating and really overwhelming. While I understand in order to make money as a freelance artist you have to book multiple events in a weekend but they made me as their client feel undervalued and unimportant. It was more about the money than actually taking the time to do a good job and offering a positive experience. In addition, two of the women who did have their hair done eventually had to re-do it before the ceremony because of it not being secure enough with bobby pins, but looked crunchy from hairspray. Just a bit of an amateur move and not at all what I had experienced in my trial. I received an email a few days after the wedding saying congratulations and they'd be sending over a link for me to review them. Being the smart women they are, they never sent me that link, I think fully aware I would not have positive things to say. Overall I was incredibly disappointed with the company, especially because I wanted to support a women-run business. In my opinion you can definitely find another company that will put you as the bride first and make you feel valued as a customer.

Meghan and Dayna (and their hair stylist) did an amazing job for me and my bridesmaid's at my wedding in August! I had contacted them in April to do my makeup and hair for my August wedding and even though they had a booking later in the day they were able to accommodate me and my party in the morning (which did work perfectly for us). I felt like they took their time and listened to all the requests from me and my bridesmaid's and our hair and makeup ended up looking wonderful! I have never had makeup stay on my face a whole night let alone a whole day/night together but their makeup lasted and looked beautiful through the last dance. I also have very (VERY) sensitive skin but the products they used caused no reaction, redness, or itchiness on my skin. I felt so beautiful on my wedding day! The hair stylist also did an amazing job. I had asked for a more loose braided up do and she did a great job in creating what I wanted. Throughout the entire process (from April to August) they were quick to answer questions I asked and make any accommodations that I had requested. The groom also gave the hair and makeup a thumbs up!

Gals and ghouls completed the makeup at my wedding this past June (2019) and we were all blown away by the results! They took their time making sure every detail was perfect and created a look that not only lasted the whole night and looked AMAZING in pictures, but that was timeless. The ladies were professional and made great use of time all day and I didn’t feel stressed at all (which is always a bonus). Highly recommend!!!

Meghan & Dayna were absolutely incredible to work with! I was very impressed with their beautiful work on the make up application they did for my wedding! Throughout the whole process they were very communicative, answering my many, many, many questions! :) And I was even more impressed that they came to me for both my trial wedding make up application and to my wedding venue on the big day for on site application. They made a day that can be very stressful, much easier and it allowed me to feel at ease and be more present for all the special events that took place. Plus, two weeks after the event I am still getting compliments about how beautiful I looked, which they had a large part in. :)

Meghan and Dayna were incredible. They were so kind, professional, and did an amazing job. I have been in a lot of weddings, and I have never seen everyone look as amazing as they made us look. We had a group of 11: me, six bridesmaids, one officiant, one mother, one aunt, and one grandmother. They were especially kind to my 104 year old grandmother (she's still sharp, but you never know how people are going to treat older folks), and made her look and more importantly feel beautiful. They were perfectly on time without rushing, and took the time to chat amicably with everyone they worked on. I felt gorgeous but still like myself, which is exactly how I told them I wanted to feel. It was also a huge bonus to have them travel to us in the bridal suite: it meant we just had to relax and enjoy the day while getting ready.

Meghan was absolutely wonderful! She knocked out me and my three girls in about an hour and a half and the looks lasted all day and well into the night! Anyone looking for wonderful badass wedding looks should definitely give them a shout!

These ladies did absolutely amazing!!!! As a bride and being the center of attention I felt as if everyone of my requests & expectations was met & exceeded. These ladies worked promptly and listened to all my bridesmaids. Everyone was extremely happy with how their makeup turned out and I’m extremely happy with the quality of how mine held up all night. I’m a sweater and I still looked amazing at midnight! Thanks again ladies for doing a wonderful job and I look forward to being beautified by them again!

Meghan and Dayna are so nice! During my trial Meghan worked with me every step of the way to create a look I was happy with. They were totally professional and so easy to work with. My only complaint is that some of my bridesmaids makeup started to break down pretty early in the day. This could have been due to the weather (it was fairly humid) but I was hoping it would have lasted longer.

Meghan and Dayna have done amazing work. Being a male on the brides side gave me a chance to see them in action and I was very impressed. They stay focused while working with their clients and handling anything that comes up. This being outside interruptions, they work very well together and were able to get all the bridesmaids done!
