We had our wedding here October 2024 and I am so super pleased with how everything turned out. Mr. Robertson was absolutely the most gracious and caring host that I could have imag...
ined having. His love for the venue and for weddings just floored me. Don't even get me started on all the great options that you have with this venue. The decorating possibilities are endless or you can keep it simple with the beautiful Deco style of this building you can't go wrong. Small weddings or big they got you. You can even sleep on one of the trains or rent it for your bridal suite! The history of this place is amazing. I'm so happy to keep my money local with a place that really meant something to the island with people who cared about it. The director has so many contacts on the island, he will not steer you wrong! Thank you Galveston Train museum ❤️
Where do I begin? David, the museum director was such a lucky find in our wedding journey. From the moment I met him and saw his vision for what the museum had to offer, I was sold...
. He has been doing event planning and running events of all shapes and sizes for years. This couldn’t have been more evident on the day of our wedding. It was absolute perfection, and David had thought of every detail.
I did hours, and hours of research and ended up using every vendor he recommended. It is a network of wedding professionals that made our day beautiful, unique, and unforgettable. If you are looking for something that provides you much more than your typical “wedding venue,” look no further. Our guests were so impressed and the kids will be talking about those train rides forever!
We used Benno’s for event rental/catering, Island Flowers for flowers, and Cakes by Jula for our cakes. These vendors have worked together for years and the perfection they provide is evidence of their long standing professional relationship.
I held my daughter's wedding reception at the Railroad Museum, its located at the end of the strand. The venue is ALMOST PERFECT!!! It's a large space and beautiful. My only pro...
blem.... it's a museum and open to the public so you cannot decorate until 5 p.m. That was not a problem because our wedding did not start until 7 p.m. and it was a full mass. The other was that it was a little warm inside the museum, but it was in June in Texas! Other than that, I would have a wedding reception there again in a second, I might just have it sometime October-April and skip the summer months.
