DONT WASTE YOUR TIME. I used Garden of the Gods Catering & Events for my wedding earlier this month and it was a disaster from the beginning. My trouble starts back in July when I tried to get ahold of someone to change my dinner time. It took over two months and me reaching out to general phone numbers and emails to get ahold of someone, mind you I had already paid in full so I couldn't back out or else I would have. Turns out the gal I was in contact with no longer works for the company. It came down to less than two weeks before my wedding day that I finally was able to get in touch with someone. When I hadn’t heard anything from the gal I had spoken to in the couple days prior over the phone, I emailed the general events@ email. I get an email after expressing my deep concern for my catering order in general saying “Hi, I emailed you yesterday. Did you not get it?”. Obviously if I’m reaching out, I didn’t receive anything, right? I thought we were good to go once I had a phone call and other email exchange with the gal that was taking over my day. I thought I would be able to brush communication mishap under the rug. Cut to dinner time on my wedding day. I realize it is far past the arrival time on my contract & dinner was supposed to be getting set up more than 30 mins ago. After frantically calling and sending an email, it took my father to go out & see if he could find the caterers down the road to learn that the truck has been stuck. I then get an email saying “I tried to email you”. How did that email go through but the first one didn’t? Then another email saying “I tried calling”. I had been at this lodge for 2 nights at this point had zero trouble with service or getting calls/texts/emails through. We also had two different caterers and a rental service come to the lodge also with zero service/communication difficulties. Because of this failure of communication, we ate dinner far later than planned, the food was cold & rolls hard as rocks. This also meant other parts of the wedding were pushed, causing my photographer to have to stay longer than the contract. I sent an email to the gals I had been in touch with and still have yet to get an email or phone call back.

We had a really good experience with Garden of the Gods! We really liked the menu options and eventually decided on the Latin menu. We had a tasting that Christina set us that was well organized and helped us decide on food options. They even had a vegan option for a few of our guests which was really great! The drop off was quick and organized and the food was delicious. Overall they were very responsive, but we did have to do our own follow up a few weeks before to make sure everything was on track. I would definitely suggest Garden of the Gods for a delicious and unique menu!

The food at our wedding was INCREDIBLE!!! Definitely recommend if you want elevated event food. We did notice that one of the servers seemed frustrated at the event, but we couldn’t figure out why. We learned later that he and the chef were having issues with each other. Thankfully we didn’t notice and neither did our guests. Our Day of Coordinator did an amazing job at managing the situation so it didn’t become an ordeal during the reception.

Can I just first say, THANK YOU to all at Garden of the Gods Catering. We seriously couldn't of had as perfect of a wedding day without all of you! Planning a wedding during COVID? Have you stressed out to the MAX? Hire GOG to ease all of your worries! We had to reschedule our wedding day two times due to travel restrictions and Jessica helped ease our minds every step of the way. We were worried our deposit with our vendors wouldn't transfer to the new dates but everyone we hired for our day were so accommodating. Wedding planning tip, make sure you trust and love your vendors, because they are the ones that make it happen. Our food... WOW. Chef, kudos to you. We had the Blackened Chicken with Beef Short Ribs and everyone is still talking about it! The week of our wedding, we had our bartender pull out of the contract last minute but GOG once again, saved the day and provided us with a bartender. This company is all around great energy and I will hire them for future catering events. I also work in the hospitality industry and you guys have set the bar for top notch service. Thank you again, we can't say it enough!

Jessica and the GOG team were exceptional. The food was AMAZING, Jessica was the sweetest and always had my back, and the table setup was more than I could have expected. There are so many options to choose from to ensure you're staying within budget and nothing you choose will be bad tasting. I'm sure they did way more than I was able to keep track of. You guys need to hire GOG to cater your wedding!!

Jessica and the whole team helped so much with EVERYTHING! From bouncing off a few color swatches for the table settings, to navigating around Covid. Jessica was extremely supportive in the whole process of not only wedding planning stress, but also Covid wedding planning stress. Just needed to mention all that before the actual food! OMG! Amazing!! Best food ever! Notice how I didn’t even say “wedding food”! Seriously, consider GOGC for any of your catering needs! Sincere thanks to Jessica and her whole team for such a great wedding!!!

Garden of the Gods catering exceeded and excelled our expectations and experience for our daughters mountain wedding on our property ! All details were beautifully and deliciously prepared and served . All the staff was pleasant and professional . I was overjoyed walking into catering tent and seeing how beautiful everything was displayed and set up . It was a very important detail for us to be done perfectly and they exceeded our expectations! If you are looking for a caterer for your wedding , you won’t be disappointed.

The staff at Garden of the Gods Catering were amazing and went above and beyond to help us coordinate my niece's wedding when her big wedding had to be rescheduled due to Covid. We are not in the area and had to do everything via email but they made it simple. The rental company and caterers were prompt and extremely nice. The florist even delivered the bride's bouquet (which was beautiful) to our Airbnb! The bride, groom and guests all said it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding. I can't thank them enough for making the wedding special and as my niece said - perfect!

I was lucky enough to work with Rachel through the Pinery at the Hill venue. She was super responsive and gave us the most beautiful and tasty cake for our wedding! Seriously, people are still talking about how good the cake was and we are already planning to order a smaller one for our anniversary! She also was able to come up with dessert for everyone at our rehearsal dinner with only a weeks notice. So thankful for her and everyone at Garden of the Gods Catering and Events!

Due to social distancing we decided to do a welcome celebration instead of a rehearsal dinner for my daughters wedding weekend. Jessica was great in working with me to design a fabulous box lunch/ happy hour options within my budget...The guests were so impressed with the sandwiches and spinach pasta and the lovely presentation. Made for a safe event, with prompt fresh food that was delicious...a fun time for all! Special thanks to your crew for their outstanding efforts during these uncertain times.

Amazing service! Jessica was wonderful and helped us plan so much more than just our catering needs for our wedding day. Our guests were so pleased with the food. During our tasting we were blown away by how knowledgable Jess was. She coordinated everything with our venue and other wedding providers. Couldn't recommend them more.

While I was hardly around while the catering staff was setting up, I was told by my bridesmaids and mom that they were extremely helpful! The food was delicious too! They offered to also clean up the tables while the toasts were occurring. I would hire them again! Thank you so much!!

We had a great experience with Garden of the Gods Catering from planning to execution. We got great comments on the food from our guests and GoG catering was very flexible in working within our budget. For example, we decided to keep costs low by having GoG drop off the food and pick up equipment the next day (i.e. coffee cambros and heated food trays, etc.). Our venue didn't want to keep the equipment overnight, so GoG agreed to pick up the equipment at my parents' house. I found my interactions with this caterer very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend them for weddings and any other event!

Just wanted to stop in and say THANK YOU to the entire team at Garden of the Gods Catering that made our wedding day special! I didn't even have to hire a wedding planner, Jessica took care of all of the coordination with booking our vendors. We had a 3 tiered cake that chef Sue made for us (the lemon poppyseed is TO DIE FOR!). They even had a florist who put together our bouquets and arbor pieces, FLAWLESS! We had 1 food tasting with 1 caterer and were instantly sold on the food quality and of course the attention to detail every step of the way. Our guests are still raving about the quality of service and the food, so we can't say enough praises!

We used Garden of the Gods Catering for my daughters wedding and I would recommend them to anyone looking for catering! Jessica and her team were very organized and detailed. The week before the wedding we had to make last minute venue changed due to weather and the team sat down with us for coffee and planed everything out. When the big day finally happened the evening was flawless. The food was amazing. Exactly what we had tasted months ago. The server were all very friendly, helpful and happy to be there with us celebrating our daughter and her new husband.

Cant say enough good things about GOG and Jessica. She was so responsive during the planning process and made everything seem so simple. We also had the pleasure of having Summer manage the event day of. She was SO professional and SO MUCH FUN! Summer was calm, organized, and friendly and we loved having her and the other staff there to make our day perfect!

First off, the service is amazing! Jessica Johnson is so wonderful to work with. She brings such a peace and calm and she brought so much comfort to me while wedding planning. She truly is a joy to work with. Garden of the Gods Catering is not only a professional, prompt, and delightful company to work with, they also have delicious food. The staff worked so hard at my wedding, to make sure that everything went just right. Many guests commented on how yummy the food was (we had a brunch for our wedding). They helped in so many other ways too on our wedding day. I'm so glad we listened to others about how awesome this company is. So, if you want excellent service and a chance to work with some amazing people, this is the place to go. Loved working with them, wouldn't have changed a thing. With all there is to do in planning a wedding and all the people you have to talk to and all the arrangements you have to make, working with Garden of the Gods catering was the best place of them all. I had a wonderful experience working with Garden of the Gods Catering! Jessica, my Event Coordinator took the time to get to know me through the process of planning our dream wedding. She answered all my questions about food options and was available to assist with coordinating meetings with other vendors. During the day of our wedding she was visible before the event and helped to ensure our day was flawless! Jessica has a take charge attitude and paid close attention to both small and big details. She wants to do her best to ensure that the bride and groom are happy! Thank you Jessica for a terrific day! Everyone had an amazing time and the choices of entrees for our reception were amazing!!!

First off, the food was amazing. I loved our tasting experience and the rep was super helpful at letting us know options, selections, and recommendations. We ended up going with casseroles and doing a buffet, which saved us some money and the quality wasn't skimped on! It was perfect for our laid-back wedding. Everything tasted amazing, and also having the drinks , cutlery, and linens was convenient. Our first issue was with communication. The rep got confused about who we were once, and we were emailed a lot by their system which created some confusion because after we had paid, the system emailed us asking to pay, etc. The only other disappointment I had was a surprise on the wedding day. At the tasting we had tried a chicken bowtie pasta dish and another chicken pasta dish. They both tasted the same- light, lemony, and creamy, and we both just figured it was the same dish but different pasta. I think it might have been a mistake on the day of the tasting, because when we got to the wedding, the bowtie chicken dish was more of a light, oily, herb taste. There was no lemon or cream sauce. It was still delicious, but not the dish I had my heart set on. :( Overall, I'd totally recommend GotG Catering to everyone, but would also caution you to be on top of communication, just to be on the safe side. :)

Amazing! We had a small wedding of about 20 people and ended up doing the steakhouse buffet. The food was absolutely delicious! Everyone loved everything! It was the perfect amount and there was still some leftover. We also had the cake made through them and that also turned out amazing! Everything was perfect and we couldn’t have asked for better service.

These guys absolutely ROCK. Their food is unreal and they provide the highest quality service! Working with them through the planning process was a very positive experience. Jessica Johnson was professional, down to earth, organized, and TALENTED. I felt like she took a lot of worries off my plate which was huge for me as the bride. We did a stationed dinner with a seafood table, mashed potato bar, salad bar, butchers block, and kids table. Everything was a hit, especially the seafood table! We are still getting compliments from guests on how amazing our food was. Many people went back for seconds and thirds.. I cannot thank them enough for making our wedding day so special.

These guys were fantastic to work with! We worked with Jessica, who started us off with a great tasting experience, and was super quick with communication and helping us figure out details. These guys were the best value we found in town! They provided tons of help in addition to the catering, and easily better food :) which we were surprised to learn! We had to change venues 2 days before the wedding because of weather, and they quickly rolled with the punches and made the day seamless. They're awesome! Can't say enough good things.

I am thrilled to review Garden of the Gods Catering. My husband and I were blown away by Maddie, who coordinated every detail with such warmth and professionalism. From the beginning, she gave our intimate wedding attention to detail and enthusiasm that made all the difference. The food prepared by chef Dave was fabulous. Our tasting was an incredible dining experience and the actual event was a fine dining, plated meal, that everyone raved about. I could go on and on about the flowers by Liese. Our long farm table, arrangements, and cake were luxurious with a soft, vintage like feel. She is truly an artist and such a value for the level of quality received. I could go on and on about this company. I would recommend anyone to immediately book their wedding or event with them. Beginning to end it was excellence.

When guests came to us (unsolicited) with nothing but superlatives to describe their culinary experience at our daughter's wedding, we knew we had hired the right catering company: Garden of the Gods Catering & Events! Jessica Johnson, G OG catering/event planner began meeting with us ten months before the wedding and listened to our every need including preferred serving style, presentation and culinary preferences. She showed grace, flexibility and professionalism every step of the way. Chef David Platzer with the help of his assistant Adam Porter, created menu choices that pleased us all; most notably the bride and groom! Every station was superbly presented and, of course beyond DELICIOUS! Pastry Chef Sue Sanicky baked an elegant wedding cake. It was light, not too sweet, and the perfect end to a most notable meal. Our servers, Amy, Cori, Diana, Kate, Meghan, Nicole, Hannah, Sharon and Jerrod moved throughout the event seamlessly and met our every need. What more could one ask? We highly and unequivocally recommend Garden of the Gods Catering & Events to anyone who wants to create a unique event with the help of professionals who care.

Recently used Garden of the Gods catering for our daughter's wedding. As an "out-of-state" mother-of-the-bride, I felt somewhat disconnected from the planning process. However, the assistance that Jessica provided through multiple phone and email contacts enabled me to feel very much a part of the important details of our daughter's wedding and reception. The entire Garden of the God's staff was prompt and very efficient during all the details of set-up and take-down on the wedding day. The food was delicious too!! Chef Sue Sanicky did an amazing job on our wedding cake, it came out absolutely beautiful! She offers a wide variety of delicious cake flavors and fillings to choose from. She captured our vision perfectly and all our guests had nothing but great comments on the look and taste of the cake! We highly recommend her as your cake baker!

We first met Jessica while we were shopping around for caterers. The food at our tasting was absolutely delicious, but what struck me most was how comprehensive the level of service was and how Jessica was able to put so many of our anxieties at ease. When the day actually came everything turned out even better than we expected. The food was just as good as the tasting and Jessica and the Garden of the Gods Gourmet team made sure that the whole evening went smoothly. We were incredibly happy.

Beyond amazing service and even better food! I have recommended Garden of the Gods to all of my friends and family members. We worked with Jessica Johnson and her tremendous help in the planning process kept us forever grateful. We received the platinum package where we were provided with a wedding cake, our fabulous DJ and all of the floral that we need for our ceremony and reception.

My husband and I ended up getting a package deal from Garden of the Gods Gourmet for our wedding. We were originally going to go through them just for the catering. The food at our tasting was delicious! We had the braised short ribs, chicken provencal, potatoes au gratin, and green beans and I was amazed at how everything tasted just as good at our reception! They offer a package deal where we paid about $5,000 and got catering, tablecloths, place settings, floral, DJ services, and our wedding cake. They contract with the Pinery and use their vendors, but can be used at venues other than the Pinery. All of the vendors we got through them were perfect! The servers at our reception were wonderful as well. They even had two gals keep an eye on the gluten free and nut free cupcakes so they wouldn't get mixed up and could stay available for our guests with extreme food allergies. Speaking of which, we had some guests at our wedding who were celiac, and the menu items we ordered just happened to all be gluten free. The staff was very understanding and helped us to avoid cross contamination.

Ashley from GotG Catering was fantastic! She coordinated everything through email and over the phone as we were planning from several states away. We didn't taste the food or the cake until the reception and both were awesome. Our guests were very happy with the amount and quality provided. The company provided linens and the head table centerpieces and set the up the day of the wedding. When we finally saw everything, it was very beautiful. Everyone from this company--florists, servers, DJ, coordinator, and cake chef--were professional and very experienced. Highly recommend!

The food tasting was a wonderful experience. Felt like royalty. The food at the wedding was amazing! I would go with them again if we ever had a big party. We also had our cake made there. It was beautiful and tasted ahhhmazing

The food for our wedding was amazing! All our guests loved the food, and it was exactly what we were hoping for. Planning with them was easy because they were flexible and understanding. They serve only the freshest ingredients, and the presentation complements any wedding reception decor perfectly. Garden of the Gods is delicious and a pleasure to plan with!!
