The Garden of the Gods Resort and Club is an absolutely breathtaking wedding venue with fantastic staff. We loved every minute of our wedding there!
Our getting-ready space was both beautiful and functional. The spacious room included large, well-lit mirrors perfect for hair and makeup, along with a comfortable seating area and a patio with views of Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak. The venue itself is gorgeous. Photos seriously don’t do it justice. Planning our wedding from Iowa, we were blown away when we first stepped onto the property. We held our ceremony at the Reflection Pool, cocktails and dancing on the Hill Terrace, and dinner in the Hill Room. This layout was perfect for us, and we loved having a covered outdoor area that still showcased the scenery, ensuring our plans wouldn't be affected by the weather (which we know can be all over the place in Colorado)!
The staff at the Garden of the Gods Resort and Club truly made our wedding experience unforgettable!
Initially, we worked with Heather Wolf, but this transitioned to Tommi Gable.
Having never seen the venue in person, we relied heavily on online photos, videos, and reviews when making our decision. Heather provided us with additional photos and videos that, combined with her professionalism, gave us complete confidence in our choice.
Tommi went above and beyond in every aspect of our wedding planning, exceeding our expectations. Her work was key in making our wedding the incredible day it was. Tommi made the long-distance planning process incredibly smooth. She patiently and professionally guided us through every detail, from the timeline and floor plans to catering and decor selections. Her responses were always timely and comprehensive.
On our wedding day, an unexpected issue arose with obtaining our marriage license. Tommi immediately took control of the situation, finding solutions and ensuring we could legally marry that day. She even went above and beyond by helping with decorations, coordinating with vendors, and personally checking in with me that morning. Throughout the day, I knew I could completely rely on Tommi and the rest of the team to handle everything seamlessly.
The plated meals were served right on time and were so good! The staff thoughtfully saved hors d'oeuvres for us at our sweetheart table, and every dish was as amazing as it had been during our tasting. The bartender quickly made great drinks for our guests. The catering staff ensured the tasting prior to the wedding felt very informative, personalized, and welcoming. We feel incredibly fortunate to have worked with Tommi and the rest of the Garden of the Gods Resort team!
Our experience with this venue was exceptional. If we had to do it all over again, we would choose Garden of the Gods Resort every time!

Our wedding at Garden of the Gods was truly beautiful, and I want to provide an honest review for couples considering this venue.
First, the positives: the venue itself is absolut...
ely stunning. The backdrop of Pikes Peak and the surrounding scenery are second to none, and the resort strikes a perfect balance between elegance and simplicity. On the day of the wedding, everything was executed professionally. The staff did an excellent job, the event ran smoothly, and we had no issues during the wedding itself. Looking back on the day, it was everything we hoped it would be.
Unfortunately, our experience during the planning process was much different. Over the course of planning, our wedding coordinator changed approximately three times, but we were never proactively informed of these transitions. My wife would often be corresponding with our coordinator when communication would suddenly stop. After multiple unanswered emails over the course of two to three months, we would eventually hear from someone new, only to discover that our coordinator had changed.
Even more frustrating, important details about our wedding—such as our welcome party, seating arrangements, and other planning discussions—were not consistently passed from one coordinator to the next. Each transition felt like we were starting over, forcing us to revisit conversations we thought had already been finalized. As you can imagine, this created a tremendous amount of unnecessary stress and anxiety throughout the planning process.
Unfortunately, communication became an issue again after the wedding. Our contract stated that if our beverage minimums were not met for both the welcome party and wedding reception, we would receive a reimbursement within 30 days. We reached out within a week after the wedding to begin that process and were initially told it was being worked on. After that, however, our emails and phone calls went largely unanswered for months. It ultimately took nearly three months to receive our reimbursement, and only after repeated attempts to contact the resort. We were eventually told the delay was due to staff turnover.
To be clear, we loved our wedding day. The venue is breathtaking, the resort is wonderful, and the day-of execution was exceptional. If you're looking for a beautiful place to get married, Garden of the Gods absolutely delivers.
However, I would encourage future couples to carefully consider the planning experience. If communication and organization throughout the months leading up to your wedding are important to you, be prepared for the possibility of significant frustration. For us, the lack of communication and continuity between coordinators was by far the most stressful part of the entire wedding process.
Overall, I'd give the venue itself five stars, but the planning and communication experience fell well below what we expected for a venue of this caliber.

I booked this venue for my September 2021 wedding and wish I never had. I just had ONE in-person meeting with our coordinator when we went to tour the venue, I never received ANYT...
HING from this venue except for a huge bill. There were issues from the beginning with the room block, etc. Our guests received duplicate emails, conflicting reservations, all of which was a headache for me. That is just the tip of the iceberg, though. My (now ex) fiancé called off the wedding and as I was the bride and only one that signed the contract, I had to be the one to officially cancel the wedding with the venue. Now they want me to pay $31k for a wedding that isn’t happening AND THEY RE-BOOKED THE DATE 3 DAYS LATER. They are double dipping and also want me to pay for our room block! It’s Labor Day weekend, it was already sold out, and now there is another wedding this day. Although my ex signed an agreement with the venue to put his card on file, they let him get back his 2 deposits because filed a dispute with his credit card company. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME!!

cess and helped me bring a beautiful vision to life in only two short months of planning after our original wedding plans in a different location were dashed. The food was incredible, the staff was so friendly and quick to attend to our needs, and needless to say, the setting was spectacular and felt true to our Colorado Springs roots. We were especially thankful for the assistance of Scott (banquet captain) and Allison Reilly on our wedding day. The entire event went without a single speed bump (and in accordance with the appropriate local health ordinances) thanks to their attentiveness to detail. Allison worked so well coordinating with our wedding planner and other vendors and the day was absolutely perfect. We are so impressed with our experience here.

ks for itself in why the location was chosen. Unfortunately, the resort is well aware of its location advantages and lacks in customer service and hospitality. The employees in the trenches are amazing (Allison Reilly, especially) but those at the top of the ladder are unwilling to work with clients, even during a pandemic. The resort management appeared more concerned with the dollar the guests bring in than the guest themselves. If you do host a wedding here, I highly recommend you do a room block elsewhere.

to host a destination wedding. They hosted the ceremony and reception - with in house catering. All of our guests stayed at the resort, so it made the process very easy. We had our ceremony outside and it was beautiful to have the rocks in the background of our photos. Kendra was our first contact and then we were transferred to Allison. Both were so amazing and very responsive. We have a very small headcount and they came up with ideas we could do to hit our minimum. The wait staff was great the day of as well! I emailed Allison a lot leading up to the wedding and she was always so helpful. We would highly recommend the resort and location for hosting a wedding.

We just had our wedding at this venue and utilized many of the services (salon and spa, catering, meeting rooms, guest rooms, the Reflection Pond for our outdoor wedding ceremony, ...
and an indoor ballroom and courtyard). From start to finish, our resort wedding representative Shaileigh was quick to respond, had great ideas and assisted us with all of our wedding details...the result was a perfect and unforgettable wedding!
On our wedding day the entire resort team, and especially Alison, provided exceptional personalized service and was completely dedicated to us and our guests' experience! The Garden of the Gods setting was beyond breathtaking and the resort was truly exquisite! This day will be forever in our hearts! Thank you to the wonderful group of professionals at the Garden of the Gods Resort and Club - you are a five-star wedding venue!

start... Shaleigh, our event coordinator, was so personable and tremendously attuned to all of the right details. She did all of the thinking so I didn't have to! With a February wedding, we were in flux about outdoor/indoor ceremony up until about 3 hours before the event; I was very appreciative that the resort could be that flexible to ensure the perfect environment (we executed outside!). The blankets they provided for the ceremony and the Christmas lights they left up several days past their due date are just a couple examples of the thoughtful touches Shaleigh coordinated. The Grand View room offered the perfect backdrop for the reception and comfortably fit our 92 guests with a decorum that I truly appreciated. THE FOOD WAS AMAZING... good thing I had to host or I would have really gorged myself; the guests raved about the food. Finally, EVERY member of the staff was truly helpful, thoughtful, and gracious. From the servers, to the bartenders, to the folks at check in... they really knew how to make a bride and groom (and ALL of their guests) feel special. I would get married a 100 times again at GOG Resort; it was truly a special and memorable event and absolutely worth every penny we paid.

The staff were very accommodating, professional, kind and incredibly responsive. The food and wine were delicious (and we are huge foodies and winos so this was a big deal)! The rooms were beautiful and rather large for a resort in Colorado. The scenery was beyond perfect. Every one of our guests commented on how beautiful the entire property was and questioned how they never knew the resort existed! We love that our wedding venue was a stunning resort because now we are able to visit and share the memories of our perfect day! Thank you GOTG for giving us the wedding of our dreams!

e planning a wedding from a different state (Oklahoma), I was a little nervous about the planning process and keeping up with changes but everything turned out better than I had ever expected. The food was wonderful and there were so many options to fit my budget. The wedding suite was beautiful and had an unbelievable view. We were married late September and we couldn't have asked for better weather. I can't wait to make it a tradition to go back for our anniversary. Thank you to all of the wonderful staff at GGC for all of your hard work! Our wedding day was a dream!

process and he was great! Always on top of emails with speedy responses and he had great advice. Any staff member we came across was very professional and helpful. It is definitely an expensive place, but worth the money. Explore options like getting married on a Sunday to help with the price. The only bad part was they don't have specific areas for the bridal parties to get ready in so you have to figure that one out on your own. Otherwise it was fantastic!

If you are thinking about having a wedding or event here, DON'T! I had the worst experience with a business I've ever had in my life. There is a long story involved, but to keep it...
short, the staff was incredibly dishonest and rude with me in trying to have my wedding there.
When I saw the view there, I knew I only wanted my dream wedding there. It took my fiance and I 5 days, numerous phone calls and a few emails to finally get ahold of John. He gave us the details and prices regarding a wedding. The price was ridiculously high on the reception and we were hoping for some flexibility regarding the quote. We received none.
After discussing we came back to John and said we wanted to have only the wedding ceremony. He had told us we could have our ceremony at sunset for $2,000. When we came back and said we wanted just the ceremony, he said it would now cost $3,000. When we asked why, John responded very rudely, in a way that I honestly can't believe. Furthermore, we felt taken advantage of because the price went up.
We emailed the GM of the club and told him about the lack of response, rudeness and underhandedness we had experienced. He told us the club was trying to get away from weddings at the club, unless a member, and that he didn't know if we could have our wedding there period now. Seriously?! We were obviously devastated and asked again, so he came back and said if we wanted to, we could still do the wedding BEFORE 2pm for $3,000.
This is ridiculous! My fiance and I have both been in the event planning business for a decade and this just doesn't happen. There is a terrible lack of integrity, common courtesy and business sense here. The dishonesty blows my mind.
People are planning one of the most important moments of their lives and this just isn't acceptable. DO NOT go here, no matter what you do. They may have many good reviews in the past, but the new staff/management and their new direction of only giving the best view in town to the wealthy is not worth your money or your special day.
* GOTG tried to have my review removed because I technically didn't use their venue. I didn't use it because they provided the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life! I believe I should qualify as a "Tried and True" because I did work with them over the span of a few weeks, but was treated so poorly I went a different direction.

rvice and excellence that we strive to provide to all of our guests and clients. As an exclusive Club and Resort we may have a higher price point on our events. We have reviewed your account and see that your original quote of a $2,000 ceremony was a packaged quote for a ceremony and reception. A standalone ceremony, because it is not packaged with a reception, is priced at $3,000. Our apologies if we did not fully explaining the difference between a packaged and standalone ceremony.
Our sunset ceremonies are reserved for weddings that have a reception hosted in our Grand View Room one of our premier spaces. Due to the layout of our property, we only offer the sunset ceremony at the reflecting pool when packaged with the Grand View reception for your privacy. For that reason, a standalone ceremony is always offered before 2 pm.
Even though we are also a Club, we are not exclusive to Members.
Once again, we are sorry to hear for the misunderstanding and disappointment. We sincerely hope that you find your perfect day and wish you and your fiancé the happiest of lives together.

Garden of the God's Club is hard to beat for a wedding ceremony and/or reception location in Colorado Springs because of it's breathtaking views and service. We chose to have both ...
our ceremony and reception there in early September and could not be happier. Ashley and Constanze, the coordinators at the Club, were fantastic before, during, and after the event to help get things organized, answer all our questions, and navigate the flow of details and the event day itself. We had a stressful few minutes before the ceremony because of a rain delay, but they handled it all with ease and calm spirits.
The cost of having events here is quite hefty, but if you are looking for a location and place that will help take care of it all-food service, serving the day of, silverware/plates, chairs, setting up for the reception, having a place for guests to stay, wedding suite, outdoor events, etc... then the Club is a perfect venue for you! We loved the one stop shop feel, and only had to bring our own decorations and small details to make it our own, but the beautiful setting made that easy and minimal.
The day of the wedding could not have gone smoother, and the food service was fantastic. We got many comments from our friends and family that the GG Club provided both the best wedding food they had ever tasted, and the best/quickest service.
Some other things to note-
1. You may want to still have a day-of wedding planner to help coordinate the small details, as the GG Club coordinators do not stay for the whole event.
2. Also, be sure to ask about all your questions related to cost of renting extra supplies like microphones, stage, cake knives, string lights, etc. so that you know about those costs and plan up front.
3. Dining room reception is not offered during the weekends from June-August, so if you have a larger crowd or want the large window view for your reception in the summer, then you may want to re think this venue.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone who is willing to pay a little more for a great event and great customer service.

asped when they walked through the door and saw the view. Constanze was very helpful and accommodating. We had minor snafus and confusions along the way, and she was very quick to respond and clarify. She worked had to ensure the day was exactly what we wanted it to be. The bridal suite was enormous, and perfect for getting ready. The appetizers and desserts were amazing. Dinner was the only less than 5 star element, but I think you'd be hard-pressed to find a venue that can deliver a perfectly cooked, plated, gourmet meal to such a large crown. While I initially had sticker-shock by the per head cost, with all the inclusions I think it worked out in our favor. All in all, I can't imagine having our wedding anywhere else, it was absolutely perfect.

If I ever have to throw another event in the Springs, I will definitely go to Garden of the Gods Club. While it is quite pricey, I know everyone was impressed with not only the view and the venue, but the food was excellent, as well as the rooms in the Lodge, too!

This venue was absolutely the most breathtaking and perfect spot for a wedding. During our rehearsal practice outside on the lawn, I asked my groom, "Are we in Heaven right now?" ...
On the day of the wedding, everything went smoothly and our weather was perfect. Even if the forecast had called for rain, we had a back of plan that just moved us 100 feet backwards under an overhang which came with space heaters. Every Garden of the Gods Club employee, from the hairstylist to the events coordinator was friendly and helpful. My wedding day couldn't have felt more organized and relaxing. As for the venue itself, Garden of the Gods Club boasts the most ideal spot in Colorado Springs. It rests above the Garden of the Gods Park and overlooks the gorgeous view of Pikes Peak. Both the ceremony and reception will took place at the club. The resort provides hotel rooms, a luxurious spa, and several more wonderful amenities. I am fortunate to have had my wedding there and I wake up every day missing the magnificent view. It was a dream come true.

d they couldn't say enough about the backdrop of the mountains for both our ceremony and reception. Another perk if you want to get married outside is that they have a beautiful mesa and reflecting pool that are the perfect for an outdoor ceremony. We had a few challenges in the planning stage because of an injury to our catering manager which meant that in her absence for a few months we dealt with a different individual that wasn't nearly as organized. Despite the stress caused in the planning stages this venue was worth it.
