Garden State Radio

Garden state radio was one of the BEST decisions we made for our wedding!! Mike (booking manager) and Ryan were incredible throughout the entire planning process, and were always super responsive to any questions we had. The band’s set list includes everything from slow songs, pop/punk, and throwbacks and it was impossible for us to narrow down the set list for our wedding (in the best way). The band heard I was obsessed with Lady Gaga, so they even learned Gaga songs to play at my wedding (and the lead singer Hannah even knew all of the choreo). Guests are continuing to tell us how much fun they had, largely due to GSR!! The DJ/emcee (kiko) was also phenomenal pumping up the crowd and played amazing music when the band was on a break.

Where do I even begin? To start, if you haven't seen Garden State Radio play a show, you need to stop whatever you're doing and look them up and find one that you can make it to. We first discovered Garden State Radio at Sailfest 2019. I pretty much instantly knew that they had to perform at our wedding(even though I wasn't totally sold on having a band at first). They changed that for me. The energy that they give off is palpable. Every show we have been to (which is a lot), they get the crowd jumping, dancing, singing, and just having the time of their lives. This is exactly what I had pictured for our wedding. I think this was probably what I was looking forward to the most about our reception. They play a little bit of everything which kept everyone on the dance floor all night, and I mean everyone. All of our guests are still talking about how much of a great time they had and keep asking us which band we used. They even offer to learn one new song, and for me this was so special because I had them learn a song for my mom and I to dance to. The DJ they provided was also so great and was able to play in between sets and during dinner. If you're thinking about hiring Garden State Radio for your wedding, you will not be disappointed!!

We had Garden State Radio play at our wedding on 7/31/21 and it was the most amazing experience. The band is absolutely incredible and everyone was on the dance floor the entire night. I have been to many weddings where the guests are not dancing and GSR's energy was so high that no one wanted to leave the wedding when it was over! Hannah's voice is amazing and because both her and Mike sing, they can play pretty much any song. Our wedding the best party and that is exactly what we wanted for the day. We also had Mike play the guitar during cocktail hour which was a really nice personal touch. This band is so good that two of my bridesmaids have now booked them for their own weddings next year. In addition, the band is extremely professional and responsive. We had to postpone our 2020 wedding multiple times due to COVID. The band was so incredible and accommodating with us changing the date multiple times and it made a stressful process manageable. Do not hesitate to book them for your next event. Everyone has been talking about how fun the band was and I promise you that you will not regret it! Thank you so much GSR!

We saw Garden State Radio at another wedding and thought they were so great, we knew we wanted them for ours. Our wedding was pushed back from our original date, and they were extremely accommodating and easy to work with the whole time. We knew they were great- but our wedding day was better than we could have even imagined, thanks in large part to GSR. From the song they learned on our request, to reading the energy of the crowd, our dance floor did not stop once all night. My husband and I actually had to get dragged to our cake cutting by our caterer because we didn’t want to leave the dance floor! I cannot recommend them enough. We also received countless compliments about how amazing and fun the music was all night. HUGE thank you to GSR for helping make our wedding an absolute blast!!

This review was a long time coming, and I am sorry to GSR for taking so long to post a review. GSR played at our wedding in December of 2020, obviously still under COVID restrictions. In that regard, GSR was supremely professional and employed every safety precaution. Leading up to our wedding, GSR and their agent, Michael, made planning a total breeze. The meetings left us feeling confident that GSR knew the vibe we were going for, and that they would be able to cater flawlessly to that. Every single time we reached out, we got responses very fast. When planning, GSR agreed to learn an entirely new song for our first dance, talk about catering to the customer! When they started, my wife and I were totally blown away. I will never forget our first dance, and GSR was a huge part of that amazing memory. GSR was able to do acoustic during our Cocktail Hour, and every review was fantastic. Once we got into the reception, GSR's amazing, and seamless performance continued. We gave GSR a lot of creative freedom and they didn't disappoint with a single song. Everyone couldn't help but stay up and dance to every song. My wife and I were so lucky to have stumbled upon GSR, and we are certainly excited to see them perform again!!

BEST BAND EVER! We first saw Garden State Radio at the Jersey Shore a few years ago, and knew we would book them for our wedding. Their talent and energy is incredible, and our guests couldn't stop dancing! Our guests are still saying the band was their favorite part of the wedding. One of the best things about the band is that they come with a DJ/MC for the night. This allowed the band to take their breaks, but the music kept going. It also made it possible for songs outside the band's set list to be played. Their manager Michael was extremely pleasant and professional to work with as well. Book GSR for your big day- you won't regret it!

I was drawn to Garden State Radio after seeing their big production show at Ballys in Atlantic City. There were probably 2000 people in the crowd losing their minds during the performance, and I just thought, "This is the coolest cover band I've ever seen" lol. We really wanted a high-energy party for our reception, and the band did not disappoint. Being able to bring my wife to their rehearsal studio for a private showcase was also a major plus. As soon as she saw them, we booked them on the spot! Also, they did a great job with the ceremony, cocktail hour, and DJing/MCing between their sets.

My wife introduced me to GSR and I'm glad she did! Stellar musicianship, vocals, energy, light show, sound, and professionalism. The fact that they come with a DJ/MC really helped us get the best of both worlds with our budget. Worth every penny!

We recently had Garden State Radio perform at our wedding after having to reschedule twice due to COVID. They were so understanding, accommodating, and professional in the whole process, and their agent made it all so much easier for us amidst the chaos of rescheduling all of vendors/resending invitations/etc. The band sounded amazing (we're fans, so we already knew they would) and had everyone dancing and singing along for the whole reception. Also, their DJ did a perfect job with introductions and MCing! Thank you, GSR!

I don't know how I can formulate words to explain how amazing GSR is! My husband and I are obsessed with them and now all of our wedding guests are as well! They are so much fun and so talented and so professional. They brought so much energy and romance to our wedding day. We highly recommend them! We love GSR!!!!

My husband and I got married 11/2019 and used Garden State Radio. It was without a doubt the best decision we made for our wedding!! We had seen GSR several years before getting engaged and loved them so much that a few years later they were the very first vendor we booked! The entire process of working with their company was so easy from start to finish. Michael Arbeeny from their management team was so helpful and took so much time to understand our vision for our wedding music in the beginning stages. The DJ that GSR works with, Anthony, was also amazing to work with and he made sure that when the band wasn’t playing the party was still going! Obviously, the best part of booking GSR is their incredible talent. They had all of our guests on the dance floor the entire night and our friends and family were raving about the music for months afterward. We even had some guests book them for their own weddings right after coming to ours. Not only that, but GSR made it the most incredible night for my husband and I. We never wanted to leave the dance floor and had so much fun. Lastly, each one of the band members are really cool and down to earth, which made it even more fun to work with them! I HIGHLY recommend booking GSR for your wedding you will not regret it. They are the absolute best!!

If you’re looking for a sign, this is it, this is the wedding band you’ve been looking for! Garden State Radio gets the party started and gets everyone out on the dance floor! They play such a wide assortment of genres, from today’s pop hits, classic rock, oldies, techno dance, etc. They left quite the impression on our guests, everybody loved them (from the little kids and teenagers to our parents and grandparents — literally all ages and generations) and their amazing energy! They are genuinely awesome people all around, very down to earth, even their crew is phenomenal! We were so pleased with everything from start to finish, even when there’s a million things for you to do when it gets closer to your big day, their team of professionals know exactly what you’re going through and make the process seem so effortless and make all your many tiny details a reality so that your day is as perfect as you picture it! My husband & I HIGHLY recommend Garden State Radio as your Wedding reception band. We first heard Garden State Radio play at one of LBI's summertime bars known for live music, The Marlin. I was blown away how they had the entire bar up dancing. People from all ages, low 20s to 50+! We saw them a few more times that summer, and each time it was the same huge crowd and everyone in the room up on their feet singing along! They perform covers from today's top hits, to early 2000s punk hits, and even 90s hits! The fact that they were SO GOOD (seriously amazing lead singer she is so talented) and they could draw in crowds of all ages, I knew they'd be the perfect wedding band. My husband's family is Arabic and they generally prefer traditional Arabic music. However no guest was disappointed. Every table was up dancing and really enjoying the band. For weeks after, and several other weddings too, guests continued to tell me how blown away they were by my band! I suggest a band in general overall compared to a DJ. I think the live entertainment aspect of it really demands the crowd and changes the energy of the room for the better! You'd be crazy not to book this band for your wedding!

My husband, my family and I cannot even begin to explain how amazing it was to have Garden State Radio as the entertainment at our wedding!! To start off, each and everyone of the band members and the manager are awesome, friendly, helpful, all around good people, and very easy to get along with! Once you meet them, you will want to hang out with them! The restaurant actually started shutting the lights off on us because we all got along so well. Despite them all being amazing people, they are also beyond talented!!! They took note on what we wanted and when, they were very flexible, and they treated us like family. Everyone was rocking out on the dance floor, to every single song they played! If you love live music like us and our families, this is your band! They literally play almost anything! They can do new hits, the classic Oldies but goodies, plus songs that you could never even imagine a live band attempting! They play such a variety and they are so very skilled at doing it! Plus, you can tell they’re having fun doing what they do! They captivate their audience and knew just the right amount Times to acknowledge the bride and the groom. They will not steal your thunder, UNLESS you want them to! This will be the easiest decision you will make wedding planning! You will not regret hiring Garden State Radio!!!

My husband and I booked Garden State Radio for our wedding in Dec, 2019 and we LOVED them! We have seen them play shows all around NJ and knew we had to have them at our wedding! The entire band is so personable and professional! The crew is efficient with stage set up and the musicians are always ready to rock on performance days. Garden State Radio brings a contemporary sound that entertains the entire audience. A great set list of their own originals and familiar tunes that get wedding guests on the dance floor. We knew that when we booked GSR for our wedding we were going to have an incredible private party with our favorite band... What we didnt expect was their ability to flawlessly work with everyone else involved involved in making our special day truly special. Their professionalism, organization, and stress-free attitude made the entire day easier for EVERYONE involved. From the moment they walked in the door with their crew until the moment they left was nothing short of spectacular. They went way above and beyond in making sure everything was perfect for us, our family and friends. We have followed Garden State Radio for a few years now after seeing their incredible show at Seacrets in Ocean City, MD. We knew they would be our wedding band right away. We have been GSR fans for years now, and we knew that they would be the first thing we booked when we got engaged! They did NOT disappoint (as expected), and had our 200+ guests dancing and having the time of their lives for our whole reception. I couldn't imagine our wedding without them!

I can't begin to express how happy we were with Garden State Radio! Their professionalism, talent, and energy exceeded our (already high) expectations and left all our friends and family raving about our wedding for the past month. We had a pretty diverse group of about 200 guests, and the song selection and delivery had everyone dancing for the entire reception. The ceremony performance by Hannah & Mike was also so beautiful and intimate. Also, their booking agent, Michael, and DJ, Angelo, were both so attentive and caring with every detail. Booking Garden State Radio was the best decision we made! Our wedding will always be THE BEST SHOW EVER, but we fell in love with Garden State Radio when we saw them live with family and friends. They cover songs from the oldies to today and their vocals are amazing! They will have your dance floor packed the entire night! Our family and friends still have not stopped talking about how incredible the band was and how much fun they had at our wedding. We all can't wait to see them again when they are in town for a show. We also loved the addition of the acoustic cocktail hour and a DJ that played during the band's breaks. It really helped the flow of the reception and kept the party going. We fell in love with Garden State Radio years ago down in Sea Isle, knowing full well that when we got engaged that we needed to book them for our wedding. They are truly a non-traditional wedding band in the best possible way. Our entire wedding party was blow away with them- everyone was up and dancing the entire evening, even those who typically do not like to dance. They also had an incredible DJ/MC- Angelo that was extremely helpful and did an awesome job when GSR was not on stage. They truly did an amazing job and cannot say enough good things about them. They MADE our wedding!

Garden State Radio is a high energy band that played at Scotland Run Golf Course during a wedding I worked on June 22, 2109. The energy level was through the roof, every chair was empty and the dance floor was filled. GSR played music that was suitable for all ages and they are very diverse. Being the manager at Scotland Run it was a pleasurable experience to work with the group as they helped to follow the bride’s timeline as well as finding ways to help fill in while we served our courses. They graciously helped with any extras, surprises we had for the bride and so forth. I see several events a week and I would highly recommend this band for your event! Nonetheless I have seen them play live at Seacrets in Ocean City, MD and the whole crowd was on their feet as well! Good job GSR! Thanks for the great experience!

Garden State Radio performed at our wedding this past June (2018) and they did not disappoint..rather they rocked our wedding all night long! The dance floor was packed the entire night and everyone had a blast. The professionals and talent that make up Garden State Radio- Ryan, Hannah, Bobby and Mike- are truly each so incredibly talented. I have been going to their shows all across the state for many years and they always put on such a fun show, full of energy, amazing lighting and theatrics, and fun songs that we all know and love and so much more! I leave each show wanting more GSR and I keep going back for more. Since I have been going to their shows for such a long time, I have gotten to know each member of the band on a personal level and I can tell you that each of them are so down to earth, they are truly the nicest people. Every show we go to, we always say hi to each other and have a nice conversation. We love them! Fast forward to getting engaged and planning our wedding, booking Garden State Radio to play at our wedding was the first thing we did. It was so important to us and we are so glad we did! An amazing night! Now, I also need to give major props to their manager, Mike. Truly a wonderful person to work with behind the scenes. He answered every email and phone call promptly. Was always calm, cool and collected when helping answer my questions and get all the planning done, a true professional and nice guy. I honestly cannot say enough great things about all my experiences with Garden State Radio- bottom line, they are the best around and you’d be crazy not to book them for your wedding. GSR- we absolutely love you guys! You already know this.. but you’ve got two fans for life over here! Where do I start with GSR? We first fell in love with them in Brigantine at their 4th of July show, I spent the entire night asking my future husband if we could hire them for the wedding. Little did he know I was going to make this happen. We scouted over 9 other bands which always fell a little short to GSR. What helped our decisions was their pricing was comparable to other similar bands. Our #1 goal for the wedding was to have one hell of a party and GSR totally made that happen! The band learned 2 new songs for us to make the evening uniquely ours and they were so beautiful! They modified anything we needed for example we could not have flashing lights for medical reasons, we did not want any songs with foul language. When the band was on break their DJ kept the party going with some of our favorite songs. The event was coordinated with care, GSR was completely invested in our evening. I would hands down recommend this band!!! Every single guest made it a point to let us know how amazing the band was and this was the most fun they have had at a wedding. My only regret was... not extending the reception so I had more time to enjoy. We will be forever GSR fans!

What bride has the band picked out before her dress? Who am I kidding, they were picked out before we even had a venue and boy they didn't disappoint. The chemistry this bad has cannot be replicated. They had everyone dancing from beginning to end (and a little past that). My wedding was over a year ago and I still have guests complimenting how wonderful our band was. Bobby, Hannah and Mike's vocals cant be beat and are really the best around. They know how to have a good time with the crowd and not in a cheesy wedding band kind of way, because thats not the type of band they are. The sound system is great and if your looking for a lightshow they have that too! I highly recommend GSR to anyone looking to have an unforgettable wedding reception.

My wife and I were lucky to have GSR as our wedding band in July 2016. We first saw them perform at a bar in Killington, VT in 2012, and when we got engaged in 2014, I immediately reached out to their agent to find out if they would even have room in their schedule for us. We have seen them multiple times aside from our wedding (before and after), and it's great to have a bit of a personal connection with such an kick-ass band who performs all across the Northeast. GSR is NOT your typical boring wedding band. They are a true rock/pop/hip-hop/dance show, and they turned our wedding into an awesome party. Two years later, my wife and I still receive so many compliments from our wedding guests that ours was the best they have ever attended, and we know GSR had a lot to do with this. We almost feel bad sometimes when it happens at other people's weddings! (Almost.) I worked as a wedding DJ in high school and college, and I have been to hundreds of weddings, so I was very specific and knew exactly what I wanted in terms of music. GSR absolutely nailed it! They worked with us on a set list, and they brought a great DJ to handle intros, specific songs for first dance and parent dances, and to play while the band was on break. We honestly would not have done this any other way, and if you are lucky enough to find a date and location that works with GSR's schedule, lock them up immediately! Kevin

Garden State Radio was the band at our wedding and they did an amazing job. Before our event we had numerous sit down meetings, phone calls , and emails to ensure that all of our needs and wishes were met. They were professional and courteous and customized their show to our needs , ( lighting types , song selections , and types of music. The energy , personality , and pure talent of Garden Sate Radio kept all of our guests out on the dance floor all night, many of our friends and families still go to their shows to this day. We have seen Garden State Radio at Secrets in OC, MD a few times & fell in love. Wasn’t sure if they did weddings & was super excited when I inquired and they said YES ! They were awesome & I have never hadn’t more fun at a wedding (not being biased because it was mine. Lol). If you want a great band that keeps you & your guests on your feet dancing, singing & having a blast book them.
