What an absolute dream! The venue was absolutely fantastic, and Amy truly made it shine with her incredible customer service. She's an absolute gem, inside and out, and she made every moment of our event an absolute dream. Amy went above and beyond, making the impossible feel possible and ensuring that every interaction was smooth sailing. Her positivity is infectious, and she made us feel like VIPs every step of the way. Choosing this venue was a no-brainer with her help! And let's talk about the space itself – it's like a playground for event planners! The different areas catered perfectly to our needs, and the theater... Oh, the theater! It's like something out of a fairytale, with its multiple levels adding so much charm. This venue was everything we could’ve wanted and more because It had so much character that you could use the space as is and It would be totally complete it literally took my breath away. All our guests were gobsmacked that there was such venue right in the heart of Detroit. We went out of the box choosing this venue and it ticked every single box! BIG Thanks to Amy and the venue's incredible features, our event was an absolute hit! Also a big thanks to Biko for assisting in the event on the day of! If your considering it just go for it you will not regret it!

If you want to get married in Detroit, this is it. I could not recommend The Garden Theater enough. The venue spoke for itself. Our guests are still raving about the theater! It's difficult to put into words how incredible the staff is at The Garden Theater. Amy was very helpful showing us the space for the first time and was prompt with all communications throughout booking and planning. Biko was so kind, accommodating, and flexible both in planning and on the day of our wedding. He checked in multiple times with both of us, as well as our families. Every one of our guests LOVED Biko. BJ stepped in to help us on the actual wedding day (plus rehearsal) and we could not have done it without him. He was great to have around all morning while we set up and got ready - he even organized our whole bridal suite before we arrived. I'm sure there were so many things behind the scenes that Biko and BJ helped make happen that I'm not even aware of. We are so grateful to have worked with them and now know them. The other staff at the theater can't go without mention - from those who helped flip the space, to the lights/audio staff, and the security, you were all AMAZING. A special thank you to the security staff who helped our photographer walk to her car and called a cab for another guest out of kindness. Everyone who helped at GT - THANK YOU!

TLDR; BOOK YOUR WEDDING AT THE GARDEN THEATER! We were married at the Garden Theater on 10/6/23 and cannot express the gratitude we have for Amy, BJ, and Biko for helping to host our best day yet. Amy is an angel who will guide you through coordination and ANY questions you have, and BJ and Biko are a detail-oriented dream team, executing the event day-of seamlessly. We DIY’d a LOT (this bride got in a little over her head) and this team, with their amazing staff, got their hands dirtier than anyone was expecting and did it with a smile - it was all due to the flexibility and capabilities they had that our day was as beautiful as it was. Their preferred vendor list also made gathering all the necessary pieces incredibly easy, and it was relieving to know all had worked within the space before - and all were excited to return! I was able to set up an outline for the day, and the Garden staff made it happen. Amy was checking in with me in the Bridal Suite all morning, letting me know when vendors were arriving and assuring me all was going well downstairs. Biko worked endlessly to make sure the set up and décor teams were prepared and on track for both the ceremony and reception, and BJ ensured ahead of time that the bride and groom were well taken care of and had never had an empty glass in hand. Every turn, every mile, they did extra - we forgot to create a PowerPoint deck for the TVs and were just going to turn them off, but Amy found my engagement photos on Facebook and created a slideshow the MORNING OF the wedding! Literally the sweetest. You’ll never find a more attentive team. We received SO many compliments from our friends and family about the cool, unique atmosphere of the Garden Theater - not many know about this Detroit treasure! Weeks later, we are still hearing from guests about how they were well-tended to, how beautiful the space was and how they’d like to return - which we definitely plan to do, as we originally found and fell in love with this venue from a charity event we attended years ago and are hoping to bring it back to the Garden for another year. ;) 5 big gold stars to you all!!! <3

I cannot rave about Garden Theater enough!! The venue is stunning and unique, and the staff are unmatched. They are completely customer focused and they're for every step of the way. Amy is so knowledgable and friendly, and BJ and Biko were on site for the wedding making it so easy. They use a site to help you do table set up so you know what will fit and where it will be. All in all, if they are in your budget, I can't recommend them enough. I had a wedding of about 140 people and it was the perfect size.

We got married at the Garden Theater on June 3rd and it was incredible! Not only was the venue so beautiful but the staff made my day go seamlessly. Amy, BJ, Frankie and the rest of the staff were the best! Not only were they so helpful in the design, setup and details, but they made sure it all ran smoothly. Amy was super responsive throughout the process and answered many of the random questions i through at her with detail. We had our wedding and reception in the theater and our cocktail hour in the atrium and our guest are still telling us how cool this venue was. It was such a unique and beautiful venue with amazing staff - I highly recommend booking your big day at the Garden Theater!!
