I want to express my happiness and gratitude for officiating my wedding at this beautiful place. Above all, I want to thank the owners of the venue for making sure everything went ...
smooth.
I did my master's in Florida and met a beautiful girl from Italy at the University of Miami. Her plan was to leave, but luckily, that didnât happen ;)
After a few years, we got engaged and agreed on a small, intimate ceremonyâmaximum 50 guests. We checked out a few venues until we stumbled upon this location in Englewood: Garden Wedding Vows. We were immediately in LOVE! Beautiful, well-maintained grass and trees. A massive fountain in the big pond. Sunlight everywhere. Still cozy and intimate.
We did see some other places that met our needs, but then we met the owners (a Dutch family). The warmest, most genuine people. They guided us through every detail and were very transparent. We left saying weâd think about itâbut at the first traffic light, my (then soon-to-be) wife said, âThis is the one!â We called them right back and told themâweâre getting married at their venue :)
It all moved quickly after that, since the wedding was planned less than half a year later (spring â25). No issueâsmall wedding, not much to arrange. A big plus: our caterer could use the ownersâ outdoor kitchen, including a huge, modern grill. The owners were always available to help and answer questions.
On the day itself, it was actually rainingâso we were nervous. Weâd arranged a big party tent, but water + grass + fancy clothes = nerves. Luckily, by the time we arrived it cleared up and there were zero puddles. The tent had been set the day before (the owners helped, too!), and we started to relax. We got ready in the beautiful house of the owners while the caterers worked their magic.
We and our close family stayed the night at the locationânot in their house, of course, but in the guesthouse on the back of their property. And Iâm not talking about a shed⌠no no⌠I'm talking about five brand-new, spotless, giant suites with walk-in showers and the most comfortable beds Iâve ever slept in. Ohâand massage chairs in every room! We ate, drank, and hung out in the cozy common area.
Besides weddings, they run what they call a âbed and breakfastââbut trust me, itâs much more than that. Youâll have to see for yourself. Just stay a night while deciding if this is your wedding venue.
The ceremony itself was beautiful and exactly how we envisioned it. Because itâs such a big property, we had the freedom to plan everything just the way we wanted. It went perfectly. Everyone had a great time. The owners were always around to help and made sure we felt completely at ease. It truly was the wedding we dreamed of.
After crashing into one of those amazing beds (after a few too many drinks), we woke up to a fantastic, Dutch-oriented breakfast. I went for bacon and eggs (boring), but my dad ate four bags of some kind of chocolate sprinkles ("hagelslag") đ
In the end, I genuinely say the whole experienceâfrom A to Zâwas amazing. I have a very critical, Italian wife, and even she had nothing negative to say.
If youâre even slightly considering this place, just go visit. Iâm sure theyâll take away your worries, and you might have the same unforgettable experience we had on May 17th, 2025.
Hi soon to be happy couple! I want to share our story regarding this venue :)
To be completely honest, this venue wasn't even on our initial list. We had a few other options in mi...
ndâsome modern, some overly styled, and honestly, a bit soulless. Then a friend of my mom casually mentioned a place in Englewood she drove past that âlooked like it belonged in a movie.â I was curious and clicked through the website. It took us about 10 seconds to decide we needed to go see it.
The moment we stepped foot onto the property, we were stunned. Not because it was over-the-top or flashyâfar from itâbut because it felt peaceful, warm, and grounded. Everything about it whispered âthis is it.â A big open garden, perfectly maintained, surrounded by trees, with a beautiful pond and this elegant fountain in the middle. It felt like time slowed down there.
What truly makes this place stand out, though, are the people behind it. A Dutch couple and their daughterâkind, calm, genuine. They welcomed us like friends, not clients. What was super refreshing: no pressure, no pushing!! (maybe culture difference?) Just a genuine interest in helping us create something special. They walked with us, answered every little question, and gave us space to dream a little.
We werenât even planning a huge wedding. We wanted something intimate, meaningful, maybe 35 guests max. And the beauty of this place is that it doesnât need dressing up. The garden, the light, the natural flowâit does all the work for you. And the best part? Theyâre incredibly flexible and the cooks we hired could use their outdoor kitchen (which, by the way, is beautiful), and build a day that felt fully ours.
We stayed the night with our closest family in the guesthouse located just behind the venue. I didnât have any expectations, but wow⌠these are not your average rooms. Each suite is huge, spotless (yes we went looking for dust as a challenge) and beautifully designed (with Dutch details). After our wedding we were destroyed.. luckily they have massage chairs đ
The beds? Unbelievable. I think I slept ten hours straight, which says a lot considering I usually sleep like a squirrel in a thunderstorm. And in the morning, we were greeted with this lovely Dutch-style breakfastâfresh bread, cheeses, homemade jam, and some Dutch stuff I've never seen before.
But hereâs what really stayed with me: the concept of the place. Itâs not just a venue, and itâs definitely not a wedding factory. Itâs more like a piece of land that two kind-hearted people have opened up to help others celebrate love and connection in a peaceful, beautiful way. You feel it. Every part of it has intention.
If youâre looking for chandeliers and ballrooms, this may not be your place. But if you want something real, breathtakingly beautiful, stress-free, and built on heart, then this is where you want to be.
We left not just married, but deeply relaxed, full of joy, and already planning a RETURN visit to their Bed and Breakfastâthis time just to stay over and relive the feeling.
