My centerpieces were beautiful and they provided set up and breakdown for a very good price. The shop itself is very adorable. Samantha was relativity easy to work with.

Samantha Monday is amazing and highly professional. Modestly priced. Her shop is beautiful and so were the flowers she did for our wedding reception. We got so many comments on them from our guests. I used Gardenia's for my wedding on 8/28/2021 and couldn't have been happier. Everything was absolutely perfect, from the planning, to the colors, to the day of delivery details. I loved my trial bouquet (I loved it so much I asked to make it bigger, and had a huge bridal bouquet) but still was blown away by how much I loved all of my florals when they arrived day of. Samantha truly executes your vision and went above and beyond on all the details. 100% recommend!

Samantha did such an amazing job for my wedding! my rustic/boho dreams came to life when I looked all over the room! she literally brought my vision to life. Shockingly, there are some florists that aren't familiar with on trend florals/plants, but Samantha knows her stuff! everything was exactly how I wanted it! and she has the most beautiful shop ever!

I absolutely loved working with Samantha at Gardenia's Floral! She is SO talented and easy to work with! I went into our meetings with very little knowledge about flowers, and with a vision in my head that I could not find in pictures to share with her. All Samantha had to go on was my fumbling descriptions and items for centerpieces that I had purchased and brought to her. I was very nervous that I wasn't adequately describing the look that I was going for, but Samantha absolutely nailed it! I was blown away on my wedding day when I saw her bring all of my ideas to life! Every single bouquet, boutonniere, ceremony piece, and centerpiece was executed flawlessly with amazing attention to detail. I had given Samantha a ton of geometric terrariums of varying shapes and sizes for the ceremony and centerpieces, and she arranged them perfectly together, with every single one looking unique but cohesive. My mom had given me pieces of her wedding dress as my "something old", and Samantha incorporated that along with a few other sentimental pieces into my bouquet beautifully. I tend to be a very Type A and high strung person, and Samantha's quiet confidence and calming demeanor was a perfect balance in our meetings and emails that let me know we were in good hands. As for price, we were very pleased with the quantity of flowers/greenery and the high quality of work for the amount that we paid. I would absolutely recommend Samantha to any bride!

Samantha did an incredible job on the flowers for our wedding in late July. After spending countless hours browsing Pinterest for the theme and style for my wedding, I had a very specific idea of what I wanted for our flowers and I was nervous that local, more traditional florists might not understand it or pull it off. Samantha hit it spot on. Her first iteration of my bouquet wasn't exactly what I was going for so I sent her some thoughts and a photo. Well, on my wedding day as I was getting my hair done and she came in with my bouquet, I was floored with how beautiful it came out. The bouquets for my bridesmaids were also perfect. Samantha was also very helpful in figuring out my centerpieces since I wanted to do something a little different with candles and greenery. She even recommended a place to purchase candles ourselves to help us cut costs a bit! We received so many compliments. I would definitely recommend Gardenias!!

Samantha was amazing! She was very easy going and understood our vision exactly. We had met with other florists that tried to steer us in a different direction than what we wanted, but Samantha actually listened to our requests and executed perfectly. I cannot get over how gorgeous the bouquets were that Samantha put together for myself, my bridesmaids, my mother, and mother-in-law. She did exactly what I wanted and they held up beautifully. When we first met, I described the look I wanted and our budget and Samantha was able to design bouquets, boutonnieres, and centerpieces that were within our budget and absolutely beautiful. She did a sample viewing of my bouquet and was very patient while I nitpicked until it was perfect. The delivery the day of us was prompt and professional. My mother-in-law found Samantha based on her amazing reviews. I was getting married in Manhattan and Samantha was already booked for another wedding that day but agreed to work with us for our wedding anyway and agreed to have her husband make the drive in. I could not believe how beautiful the flowers were. I absolutely adored the bouquets and Samantha matched my vision of white orchids with palm tree green exactly! Her husband also worked around some very difficult protests in Manhattan that blocked up traffic in the city and ended up walking several blocks with our huge arrangements to make sure he could get everything there on time despite the crazy traffic. I would 100% recommend Gardenias floral for any bride who wants stunning flowers at an affordable price! Nice job Samantha!

Samantha was great to work with. Very professional, quickly responded to emails and phone calls and was very helpful along the way. Our center pieces and bouquets were beautiful and she brought in these amazing tress to make our indoor ceremony feel a little more springy. She used lot of succulents, white flowers, and greens-captured the look we were going for perfectly. Very clean and classic. Her prices were reasonable compared to other florists in the Maplewood/Short Hills area. Would definitely recommend.

Samantha is truly a creative genius when it comes to flowers. She was able to take my haphazard description of what I envisioned and make it a reality. Samantha is honest, kind, easy to work with and incredibly reasonable with pricing. We had a big wedding--250 people/22 tables-- and she created the most stunning centerpieces and bouquets. While we took half to an assisted living near our home, she took the other half, broke down all the centerpieces into small bouquets and delivered them to a hospital and hospice home; MANY got to enjoy the gorgeous flowers because of her. I went to my initial meeting with Samantha alone when we were shopping for a florist. When I was describing my vision of the wedding, she immediately started writing ideas as to which flowers would work best for us. My husband and I don’t like traditional weddings so we absolutely didn’t want the typical wedding flowers. We also don’t know much about flowers so I was not able to tell her which flowers I would like. Instead I told her we wanted it to look more as though we were picking flowers in a field and spontaneously threw a wedding. After writing everything down, she went over and picked some flowers and put an unprompted bouquet together. Even though my husband wasn’t there, I was confident that Samantha would do an amazing job so I went ahead and hired her. My husband came with me for our second visit where we got to preview our centerpiece and we were both ecstatic. It’s like she was in our head and saw exactly what our vision was. The day of the wedding, her team delivered the bouquets, boutonnieres and corsages to the hotel and then delivered the centerpieces to the reception site. Everything looked absolutely beautiful. Samantha knows what she’s doing and can make anyone’s vision come to life.

I can't recommend Gardenias Floral enough! After searching through 5-6 florists who were WAY out of my budget, I found Gardenias. They made all my dream bouquets and centerpieces come true at an amazing price. I can't thank Samantha enough for her professionalism and creativity. We met together twice to talk about my vision and she was able to transform them into reality. All our bouquets were delivered to me the morning of the wedding, in time for photos, in the most beautiful vases were our names on each of them. She found jasmine flowers (!) for me to have in my hair, a rare find in our area. And she transformed our wedding venue with the most gorgeous centerpieces. I can't recommend them enough!

Samantha at Gardenia's delivered incredible flowers and decor for our wedding. She met with me several times to finalize selections and run through all the selections. We got absolutely gorgeous bridal flowers, bridesmaids flowers, mother of bride and groom flowers, boutonnieres, flowers for a chuppah, chuppah rental, lanterns and rose petals. Everything was organized and labeled on the wedding day when delivered to the respective locations. The bouquets were delivered in vases to keep them fresh and lasting longer. Samantha helped to fulfill the vision and make the wedding day extra special. Highly recommend to others for gorgeous arrangements and wedding decor.

100% would recommend Gardenia's!!! This review is so long overdue, but Samantha was absolutely great to work with! I went to a few different florists and I decided to book Gardenia's because I felt like Samantha immediately "got" what I was looking for. She showed me pictures and offered flower suggestions (really good ones) based on the colors and the look I wanted - succulents with light greens, mauve, white, purple. My BM dresses were mint so I was kind of particular about the shade of green in the arrangements. She was so patient with my roundabout descriptions and when the flowers arrived at my house the morning of the wedding I was SOO HAPPY!! Everyone was so impressed with them and all of my girls were taking pictures of their bouquets when they arrived. Gardenia's incorporated my "something olds" so beautifully into the bouquets and wrapped all of the bouquets in matching colors of ribbon for the BM dresses and my dress. Weeks after the wedding I still had the dried flowers that I just did not want to throw away. (My wedding was in June 2016 and I still have them - not sure if that is gross but I loved them so much.) Samantha was knowledgeable, responsive to emails, worked with me on pricing, and just all around great to work with. Plus their flower shop is ADORABLE and smells so good! Hands down would go with Gardenia's.

My bridesmaids used Gardenias for my bridal shower, and it looked so amazing that I ended up booking them for the wedding. Samantha worked with me so patiently to create the most amazing bouquets and table displays and flower crowns. Everything was breathtaking the day of and anything that didn't match my vision, they made sure did in the end! Great florists!

Samantha did an awesome job for my wedding. She listened to my needs and catered to my vision, after that she even suggested what goes well with my theme when I couldn't decided! Gardenia's was recommended to me by a friend who used them for her wedding. Samantha (owner) is so professional and pleasant to work with. She was able to do everything I asked for and it turned out better than I could image. The flowers were stunning. I changed things throughout the planning and it was never a problem. She was wonderful to work with! She even adds beautiful tags with the bridesmaid name on the vases the bouquets came in. I highly recommend Gardenia's! Very fairly priced and well worth the money!!! We loved Gardenia's so much, I used them again to do flowers for my mom's 60th surprise party! All the guests complimented on how beautiful the flowers were!

When we first met with Samantha, I wasn't sure entirely what to expect. I don't know much about flowers, and despite all my Pinterest browsing, I'd only come up with a few keywords: I knew I liked a lot of texture, and I knew we wanted burgundy dahlias. In that first meeting, she helped walk us through all of our options and to suss out a style and made perfect suggestions for color combinations. She is stoic and clear, totally focused on the consult, but I peeked at her notes while we were talking about the overall style of the wedding and realized that she had written out precisely what flowers she wanted to use in each bouquet, including some that I knew and loved but hadn't even thought to mention. It was clear to me that she already knew just what she would create for us, and I was already excited to see it! From seeing examples of her work online, I honestly expected Gardenias to be out of our price range. I was so surprised and relieved when I saw the estimate and knew we didn't need to meet with anyone else. Samantha is flexible, talented, AND an incredible value. My mom & I had collected mercury glass, candles, table #s, which we dropped off the week before the wedding and I knew we could trust that it would be amazing. My husband wanted copper wire wrapped around his boutonniere, and she wrapped the same copper wire and ribbon around my bouquet - he is still holding onto his bout, he loved it so much! She also, by request, left me an extra piece of wire to attach my grandfather's ring. My bridesmaids loved that their bouquets arrived in vases with our names - it makes you feel special. Our venue coordinator even told us when we arrived that the table arrangements were her favorite decor she'd seen in the space yet. I am still totally enamored with our flowers and the service from Gardenias, and am so glad that we found them!

Samantha was very easy to work with. She always made sure to keep her notes up-to-date and checked-in regularly. My flowers came out exactly how I asked. They were creative and just funky enough while still fitting in well for a traditional wedding. I was very happy with them.

I found Gardenias Floral on the Knot. We looked at other florists as well. When we met her she was very nice and showed us an idea of the flowers that we can have on our day. They made our budget very flexible for us. I wasn't sure how my bouquet would look like, but on the day of the sampling it was something I was looking for. It was gorgeous. They delivered our flowers in a timely manner. They even helped us with our aisle decor and our arch even when we were last minute. Everything turned out beautiful and I would highly recommend them.

I would absolutely recommend Gardenias Floral to anyone who needs a great florist. I didn’t have a florist I used regularly before my wedding, so I needed to do some searching. At first I only planned on doing bouquets and boutonnieres from Gardenias because I didn’t need any floral decor, but I ended up using them for centerpieces as well. One thing I really like about Gardenias is that they’re a small local store in Metuchen, NJ and all of my meetings were with Samantha Monday, one of the owners. I showed Samantha some ideas I found on Pinterest, told her my color scheme and what kind of flowers I did/didn’t like and she and her team created amazing bouquets and centerpieces. Something else I really liked is that I got to have a preview meeting to go in and see a preview of my bouquet so that if I wanted to change anything I could and I got to see what the finished product would look like before the wedding day. My wedding was in August so I was worried about the bouquets and boutonnieres wilting, but they looked amazing for the entire day! I was very happy with my experience and will definitely use Gardenias for any floral needs in the future.

The flowers for my wedding were absolutely breathtaking! Samantha was wonderful helping me sit down and pick out flowers that would go with my color scheme and budget. SO happy we decided to go with Samantha and Gardenias Floral for our wedding. We waited a little late to hire a florist since we were only getting bouquets, boutonnieres and corsages. After speaking with 4 other florists who said they weren't able to get peonies for our May wedding, Samantha told us she would be able to get them, and at an extremely reasonable price within my budget!! She also offered a bouquet sample for the bridesmaids bouquet which was such a great idea because I changed my mind after seeing my ideas in person. Samantha is so easy to work with, extremely professional, and does AMAZING work. I highly, highly, highly recommend Gardenias Floral! I wish I could give them 10 stars!

Samantha at Gardenias in truly amazing, and I'm convinced she's a mind reader. The first day we met with her, she wanted to know what kind of flowers I wanted. Wrong person to ask!! I'm lucky to know the difference between a dandelion and a rose. I tried describing what The exact visualization was in my head, bysaying something to effect of, "I want biggish flowers with little ones accenting it. Oh, and purple" I don't know how she did it, but she went to the flower refrigerator and pulled out a bunch of flowers, and said "like this?" It's like she knew exactly what the picture was in my head. I knew right then and there, she was our florist!! She took the time to meet with us a couple times prior to our wedding, answered all our questions, and was so accommodating, given my husband's crazy work schedule. The day of the wedding when our flowers were delivered, I was moved to tears. The bouquets were delivered in individual vases with everyone's name on them. They were everything I expected and more. Not one detail was missed, right down to the charms on my bouquet with my grandparents wedding pictures. At the end of the night, everyone was eager to take the centerpieces home. And those that were able to were amazed that a week later the flowers were still just as beautiful as the night of our wedding.

Samantha was very professional and fair throughout the time we worked with her. I wanted a certain look that was somewhat trendy yet a little unique. I used words like "fluffy" (no joke!) to describe what I wanted and sent her a ton of pictures. During our trial run where she did a mock-up centerpiece, we gave her feedback and on the wedding day, she NAILED IT! The flowers totally helped set the mood and I am ever grateful for her very fairly priced and professional services! Highly recommended, especially if you are having a more modern wedding.

Samantha Monday and Gardenias Floral were fantastic in every way! Flowers and floral design was the area I knew the least about as I approached my wedding planning. I had a vision but did not know the words to bring that vision to life. I saw wedding photos of another bride I knew and was instantly attracted to the look and feel of her bouquet and the bouquets of her bridal party which were created by Gardenias Floral. I shared that vision with Samantha during our initial meeting and she made it happen. She is a true professional. My bouquet complimented me perfectly and looks fresh and contemporary in the photos. Gardenias also provided bows and flowers for the church and innovative centerpieces for our cocktail reception. And all of this was provided by gardenias for an affordable and fair price. I cannot recommend Samantha and Gardenias enough!

I scheduled an apptmt with the owner on a Saturday. Upon entering with a smile, I was greeted with a terse 'Hi.'. No, 'welcome', 'how can we help you', a smile back (?), nothing. This did not bode well for my meeting. The owner, Samantha, went thru her checklist with me more as a chore. There was no interest shown whatsoever. She gave me an overall price for things and said she would follow up with the exact pricing for my centerpieces because her vendor was not open. Even though I left the meeting with a pit in my stomach, I still followed up with a thank you email and inquired about the final centerpiece price that Monday. I never received a reply nor follow up call. I double checked to see if I had spelled the email wrong and no. It was correct as shown on their Google+. As a professional interior designer, I understand that you get many inquiries and sometimes not all meetings pan out. However, there is such a thing as courteousness and professionalism. If you do not have time for meetings, don't take them. If you feel a client is not going to give you enough business, you ask about budgeting from the beginning. But acting cold and aloof is plain rude. I've read in other reviews that people are discounted if the owner doesn't take a liking to you. I would take this seriously if you don't have time to waste nor patience for egos.

While Samantha can be soft spoken, she listens to your vision and works with you to accomplish it. I wasn't totally sure what I had wanted going in, but she figured it out from my inspiration photos. There were a few details I changed a couple of times, but she was willing to re-write our contract until it was correct. The bouquets and centerpieces were beautiful. And the flowers for the cake were just like the inspiration photo I gave her (which was good because the cake itself from the bakery wasn't quite what I had wanted). The only thing was I didn't even notice that they had come to drop off the flowers since they were so quiet.. we had to find the boutonnieres when we needed them.

Samantha at Gardenia's made me feel comfortable from the moment I met her. I came to her with such a vague idea of what I wanted and she didn't ask too many questions, nor did she act like she didn't get it. Then the wedding day came and the flowers were exactly how I pictured they were!! My dream come true! She never told me no to anything I asked of her, and she was always prompt in getting back to me with my ridiculous questions. Everyone at the wedding also loved the flowers so much they asked questions about my florist! Samantha, you were amazing and thank you for knowing what I wanted before I even did!!

Loved everything about our flowers! The bouquets were beautiful and unique. The centerpieces were elegant and rustic. Samantha took my ideas for a fall feel and ran with them. Everything was perfect and far better than I could have ever imagined!

She was extremely professional and responsive which is not always the case with vendors (most of our other vendors took days to get back to us). She responded to emails quickly and was very organized with appointments, etc. and we were able to view a sample of our bouquet and arrangements prior to the wedding. I couldn't have been happier with the service and quality of our wedding flowers. Gardenias handled the centerpieces, church decor, bouquets, pomanders, boutonnieres, wrist lets, and more. Each bridesmaid got a different flower and my bouquet was a combination of all. That was my favorite. They also delivered from Metuchen NJ to Easton PA to my house, the church, venue, and hotel. I never worried about their delivering on time or professionalism. They did such a wonderful job and I couldn't appreciate it more.

Samantha provided my runner and created a chuppah for me and decorated it with vibrate white, orange and fuschia fabrics. She set it up and took it down without any hassle. We received so many compliments about it and my husband and I enjoyed a number of sweet moments underneath it. Samantha also created a beautiful wedding bouquet and throwaway bouquet for me. My bouquet was filled with vibrant and colorful orange asiatic lilies, pink and orange calla lilies and a few touches of some white stephanotis with rhinestones in the center. The throw away bouquet was made of yellow, pink and orange roses. They were exactly what I hoped for (actually the throwaway bouquet was much more elaborate and gorgeous than I needed it to be—but I’m not complaining at all!). Samantha also created out of mokara orchids corsages, and boutonnieres for our mothers, grandmothers, and groomsmen. I didn’t have much money to spend on flowers, and I had planned on purchasing orchids for the bridal party bouquets and boutonnieres in bulk from Sam’s Club or Costco. When Samantha heard this, she told me she could order them in bulk for me and keep them in her refrigerator until the night before. She gave me instructions on how to care for them after picking them up and they held up really nicely throughout our wedding day. Samantha met with me a number of times and also returned my phone calls promptly. She is very professional and made my floral experience a breeze. Planning a wedding is stressful, so having a vendor on your team, such a Samantha, that is as easy to deal with as possible, makes things that much more pleasant. Samantha understood my vision for everything from the bridesmaids' bouquets to the centerpieces from when we first met, so I knew she would do a great job. My expectations were surpassed especially with my bridal bouquet and the arrangements for the ceremony. I also loved all the little touches that were provided, such as 2 little pearls on the groomsmen boutonnieres.

We were very excited to work with Samantha at Gardenias Floral for our July 7th wedding. We had met with other local florists, but immediately knew that Samantha was the right fit for us based on her personality and creativity. She worked within our budget and gave us ideas for our bridal party flowers, ceremony, and cocktail hour/reception flowers. We had several meetings with Samantha over the course of our wedding planning. She always put our minds at ease, as we could sense that she'd do a great job. A few months before the wedding, we were able to arrange a meeting to see mock-ups of our wedding flowers, including the bridal bouquet, bridesmaids bouquets, ceremony pew bows with flowers, and centerpieces. Seeing what our flowers would look like made us even more excited for our Wedding Day! When July 7th finally arrived, Samantha and her team did a fabulous job of putting together the most beautiful flowers...and they delivered them all ahead of schedule! We were truly in awe of how wonderful the flowers looked for our bridal party of 16 (+3 kids), our parents, and of course, ourselves. They also decorated the pews at our church and drove down to Spring Lake to deliver flowers for our cocktail hour and reception. All of the flowers were fresh and lasted well beyond our wedding day. Every time we look at our wedding photographs, we are reminded of how awesome our flowers looked that day. We could not have been happier with our decision to work with Samantha and Gardenias Floral. Gardenias Floral did an amazing job for my wedding. I am from out of town, so I didn't have a lot of time to meet with the owner, Samantha. We talked about the style I wanted, and I sent her some pictures of things I saw online that I liked. Everything she did was just lovely. I especially loved my bouquet! She was also very communicative & responsive to my questions and concerns, and worked with my budget. I also love that they are environmentally responsible. I highly recommend Gardenias Floral!

Samantha owner of Gardenia Florist is extremly talented and creative. She picked my brain, got a sense of who I was and what I wanted and more importantly what i didn't want. She presented to me in 5 minutes a sample of a centerpiece, using my colors turqoise, black and ivory, floating candles in tri level vases with with stones, orchids that blew me away. My bouquet was a work of art with hydrangas, cascading turquise orchids, white roses, feathers, pearls and rhinestones The entire flower order from bridal party, church service flowers to reception arrangements was sheer perfection and exactly what i wanted and believe me I had no idea what I wanted when I walked through her door. This is not your ordinary florist, If you are looking for creativilty with an edge, elegance, beauty, remarkable workmanship and high quality flowers than this is the florist for you. 100 % satisfied. I woud highly recommend them. You will not be sorry.
