Gardens at Old Town Helotes

When I got engaged last January, Garden's at Old Town was one of my first location picks! They were nearby; but tucked away just enough that you felt like you were out in nature--I ended up booking them 4 days after getting engaged! From the moment we went for our first tour, they were nothing but helpful! Answering all questions we had, and giving us information on things we had yet to think of--they were even welcoming when I stopped by numerous times with family members who were in from out of town so they could help with decor ideas! The venue offers heaters for rent, which was needed when it became uncharacteristically cool in the middle of October-->it was great to know they had those on hand, when temps dropped below 50. The bridal suite is gorgeous, and provided the perfect place for us girls' to finish getting ready, and keep a few drinks and snacks to get us through the pre-ceremony photos. While the ground weren't used by guests as much as I thought they would be, the spacious grass area, beautiful bridges and water features are what truly sold me on this location. I CANNOT wait to get my photos back and see how the swing and bridge photos turned out. This was an overall great experience, and I'd recommend the Garden's to anyone local looking for a beautiful fairytale esque venue!

Vicky and staff were amazing all the way thru the process, she was so quick to answer all questions either thru text or email, the grounds are so beautiful but the night we were married it was even more than what we expected, the tree lighting the swings and little touches gave us an incredible night

The venue was garden-party perfect for our wedding, roses in full bloom and everything picture perfect. The many places for photo ops made for wonderful wedding photos. Staff was amazing. I kept trying to do things, only to find they had it all under control. Our friends and family haven't stopped telling us how much they loved the venue, and how beautiful the wedding was. We had an evening wedding, with golden sunlight during the ceremony, and dancing under the stars with fairly lights over and around the tables afterwards.

Vicki at Gardens at Old Town Helotes was so amazing to work with. She helped us get our wedding together and had lots of great advice and expertise. The venue is beautiful. I love the outdoorsy feeling to it. I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for nice people to work with and wanting a beautiful green scenery.

Vicki and her team at GOTH were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. First off, they are incredibly friendly and easy to work with. She answered every email and question I sent her way throughout our year of planning. The venue space is BEAUTIFUL and offers so much with the outdoor and indoor options. We had our ceremony and reception at this site. Furthermore, the bridal suite was SO useful the day of. It is incredibly spacious and very clean, our entire wedding party of 10 fit in there very comfortably. They had GREAT recommendations for vendors they had worked with and truly made our special day so great! We could not have asked for a better venue and highly recommend this place and their team.

We were, no joke, blown away with how amazing The Gardens at Old Town Helotes ended up looking for our wedding. We got married last Saturday on a beautiful end of March night, and the weather couldn't have been better. Because of this, everything except the food was outside, and I wouldn't have had it any other way. From the beginning consultation appointment, Vicki was a joy to work with. Every time I called with questions, she always helped and made me feel special. It's just a gorgeous space, perfect for the low key, rustic vibe we were going for. THANK YOU for making our day amazing!

My husband and I were married at the Gardens at Old Town Helotes last weekend. We met with several different venues, but we knew we needed to book the gardens as soon as we scheduled our walk thru. We met with Vicky who was extremely helpful and very accommodating. Everyone on the grounds are professional, yet fun and personable. We wanted a fun, intimate outdoor wedding and that is exactly what we got. All of our friends and family are still complimenting how beautiful the venue was. Our wedding was in the evening so the venue was was lit up in lights and it gave a very romantic setting. We could not have asked for a more beautiful venue.

Absolutely beautiful venue! I was planning my wedding from a different city however the venue coordinator, Vicki, was so helpful from start to finish which I am so thankful for. She answered all of my questions in detail, provided great recommendations for vendors, and was very involved in the planning process. The day of she was there to help guide us on the layout and provided her professional opinion about what would look best for decorations and the flow of the ceremony and reception. On the day of my ceremony the venue was ready to go and she even stayed throughout the entirety of the ceremony and reception to ensure things went smoothly. I had so many compliments on the venue and how beautiful it was. I would absolutely recommend this venue to anyone looking for a venue!

The Gardens hosted our wedding this past weekend. Out of six or so venues that we toured trying to find the perfect one for our wedding, this was our favorite by far. It is GORGEOUS, very well maintained, and was the perfect site for our outdoor wedding! The little bridal cabin is so cute and cozy, and was plenty of space for my small bridal party. Not to mention the numerous photo opportunities the venue has, from the beautiful bridges behind the ceremony site, to the winding walkways around the venue. The amazing venue manager, Vicki, was always quick to reply when we had questions and kept us organized on all of the wedding details. Sara was our wedding day coordinator and was as sweet as could be. She was on top of everything going on that night, and kept us on schedule. The night couldn't have gone any better, and so many people commented on how beautiful the site was and how it was the perfect evening. 10/10 would do it again, and would recommend to friends and family!

I had my wedding at the Gardens at Old Town Helotes and if I could go back I would not change a thing! They did such a great job on making sure my wedding went smoothly and they treated me like family. So glad I chose to have my wedding there!

Our wedding was beyond perfect! The venue is so beautiful on its own you dont need to do much decorating!

We had our wedding at Gardens at Old Town Helotes 9/23 and it could not have been more Perfect! The Venue is Beautiful! Having an indoor and outdoor area for guests was ideal, and at the wedding we had so many guests tell us that they had no idea this venue was there, but were SO impressed! The Bridal Cabin was perfect, we had 10 ladies in there getting ready all at once, and never had space issues. There is no real "Grooms Cabin" but our guys used the little sun room area off the dining room and it was sufficient for them. Plus having them there was handy since they could oversee all of the vendors deliveries. Vicki was great to deal with, she is personable and always happy to help with any question we had leading up to the big day, Sara worked our event, and she was amazing to making sure we were on schedule and so sweet. We used a lot of the vendors on their preferred list and they were all exceptional. I can not say enough nice things about the venue!

We fell in love with Gardens at Old Town Helotes at their winter open house. We knew that if it looked that amazing in winter that it would be fantastic come June. Vicki and Sarah were so amazing to work with and our day was just perfect. All of our guests rave about the location and we all enjoyed the outdoor dance floor and the atmosphere they created with their lighting. The Bridal Cabin was a delight for my bridesmaids and I to get ready in and we loved how it felt like home. If you are looking for an affordable venue that treats you like family, you won’t be disappointed with the Gardens at Old Town Helotes!

Beautiful venue!

We just got married there on 6/17/17 and the venue was absolutely gorgeous! The trees were in full bloom and there are so many great photo spots throughout the place! The bridal cabin is amazing! So many guests complimented us on choosing the Gardens for our venue! They are affordable and a great choice for anyone looking to impress! Vicky is so lovely and accommodating and her father is a real funny man :) I will always back family owned businesses! Thank you folks for helping to make our wedding amazing!

I couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue. Reasonably priced, beautifully set up, easy to work with and so much more. Before you have your mind set on a specific venue, I highly recommend taking the time to go out and visit The Gardens at Old Town Helotes and talking to Vicki. You won't regret it.

The venue is absolutely gorgeous!! Vicki and Jamie did an amazing job at helping us make our day amazing. We couldn't have imagined a more perfect venue for our wedding. Everything went so smoothly. Not to mention the bridal cabin that was spacious and perfect for me and my girls to get ready. There's several great locations for photographs. My husband and I only looked at one venue and fell in love right away!

Gardens at Old Town Helotes is a little slice of heaven on Earth. This family owned and operated venue is beautiful! Vicki is a joy to work with (along with the rest of the fam). They made everything so easy and stress-free! I am so happy we had our wedding at GOTH! Love the GOTH family so much!!

The Gardens at Old Town Helotes exceeded our expectations for a wedding venue. The first thing that attracted us to the Gardens was the beautiful atmosphere. After we booked with the Gardens we soon began talking with Jaime and Vicki about our big day. Everyone at the Gardens was incredibly kind and prompt when responding to our many questions. By the time of our wedding day we had no concerns at all we knew that Jaime and the team had everything under control and our only job was to enjoy our wedding day. The day of our wedding was a dream; the venue was beautiful, everything was on time, and we enjoyed a spectacular day and evening with our beloved family and friends. We did not have anything to worry about the entire day! Now that our wedding is over we will truly miss going to the open houses, enjoying the atmosphere, and speaking with the Gardens family. We would recommend this venue to anyone considering a wedding in the San Antonio area; it is a truly beautiful venue with wonderful people!!

This venue was everything we hoped it would be! Vicki was so awesome to work with, and was so helpful leading up to the event & the day of! We picked this venue to have the ceremony outside with the reception inside, knowing in the instance of rain there was a back up plan of moving the ceremony inside. Due to the crazy weather of Texas, the ceremony was moved inside with ease. Vicki's communication with the other vendors is fantastic and helped elevate stress. Gardens pricing and rates were amazing and help us achieve the wedding we hoped for! They came highly recommended to me an I HIGHLY recommend them to all!!

The venue is absolutely breathtaking. It was challenging scheduling meetings due to us living in Corpus Christi, but our wedding was a fairytale.

I have nothing but positive things to say about Gardens at Old Town Helotes. We looked at many, many venues to find one that fit us perfectly, and truly, this place is unlike any others. They go above and beyond to make your day perfect, and the location is absolutely stunning. From the moment I met Vicki, she worked closely with me to make the day exactly what we wanted. She was flexible, honest, realistic, timely, and most importantly supportive. She made it a fun experience, and she made us feel like our wedding was her top priority (knowing full well she has a LOT on her plate and many brides to work with). My husband and I recently got married in October 2016. Looking back on our big day, we can honestly say that we would not change anything. Many of our friends joined us from different states and even countries, and everyone was blown away by the beauty of the venue. We did not have to decorate much because of its natural elegance. The owner and venue coordinators were a joy to work with and were always available when needed.

We had our wedding at the Gardens on October 7. Vicky and Ken were SO helpful, polite, accommodating, and easy to reach. We had a large wedding with over 200 people in attendance, and they made sure everything went perfectly. Their contract is very clear, and you get SO MUCH with the cost of the venue rental- they don't nickle and dime you like other wedding venues do. They were also very flexible, which meant that we could choose all of our own vendors (though they did provide an excellent list of vendor recommendations, some of which we did choose). The grounds and house are beautifully taken care of, the bridal cottage is to die for- and most importantly, Vicky was always available when I needed to ask her a question. Planning weddings can be so hectic. Gardens at Old Town Helotes truly made my wedding a smooth process on their end, and it turned out beautifully. My new husband and I would choose the Gardens all over again. Good luck!

Jamie was amazing throughout the whole planning process. And even more incredible the day of my wedding! She did everything possible to accommodate all of my needs and caterers needs as well. The second I stepped foot on this venue, I knew it was the one for my wedding day. My husband and I loved how clean and open it is. The grounds are kept beautifully. Everything about this venue and the management is perfect.

This place was absolutely wonderful! All of our guests raved about how beautiful it was and as the bride was beyond pleased with their coordination the day of. Vicky was AMAZING. I wish I could give more stars. HIGHLY reccomended this place to all future brides!

Beautiful venue! The ceremony spot and outdoor reception were perfect for what I envisioned for my wedding day. The string lights over the dance floor at night created the perfect atmosphere for fabulous photos. The staff was so helpful the day of and months and weeks leading up to the day!

There aren't enough wonderful things to say about Gardens at Old Town Helotes. Let me first rave about Jamie Taylor, Vicky and Kent who put so much heart and soul into making the beautiful venue what it is, highlighting what the true Texas Hill Country has to offer. The outdoor ambiance gives way to whatever theme the bride wishes to have - whimsical, white, holiday, country, rustic, modern. The outdoor pergola is the focal point of the ceremony and is perfect for the bride to meet her groom; very intimate, spiritual, and romantic. The seating arrangement is perfect and sufficient to seat guests of all numbers. I had a summer wedding so the venue allowed us to have chilled water for our guests. I loved this venue! Vicki and her staff were awesome! They did everything they could to make sure our wedding was wonderful. She helped us stay on our timeline and asked a lot of questions to make sure she had everything perfect. Even though it did rain she found a way to make it work without making us feel too bad about it. Venue was very clean and a lot of people told Me how beautiful it was. Would recommend this venue to a friend! So beautiful and worth every penny.

I just had my wedding here this past weekend. It went perfectly thanks to Jaime working hard behind the scenes. She was our wedding-day coordinator. Previously, I had communicated mostly with Vicky. Both were wonderful to work with and very attentive. We were running a little behind schedule and Jaime did not wait to be told to do anything, she just handled it. Its easy to lose track of time and the order of events, but Jaime kept everything moving. The venue and grounds are gorgeous. I also liked having the flexibility to choose our vendors. Compared to other venues around town, Gardens at Old Town Helotes is an exceptional value.

I truly enjoyed the venue. The staff was excellent at helping with all my questions/concerns. I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone!

Just spectacular! The venue is one of the best I have ever seen and Vicki is one of the kindest people we have had the pleasure of meeting! I could not have imagined getting married anywhere else!

Details Our venue coordinator Vicki Perkins was the bomb and got us everywhere we needed to be, from the amount of tables, chairs, special requests to tablecloth orders needed. @1200 Allowed to arrive to set-up. Our Host, Christine, helped to take care of anything we needed as far as set-up went. @1430 Went to get ready for the ceremony @1515-ish We were in the middle of getting ready and Christine brought out a plate of warm chocolate chip cookies to the bridal cabin for us (delicious) @1615-ish We were brought out back to prepare/line up for the ceremony. Throughout the evening Christine went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed from the DJ and his needs, to the caterer, the bartender and the security guard. Our bartender service came from Thirsty Bear Bar-tending and it was amazing, they predominately serve at the Gardens (suggested to us by the Gardens) and if you want to have an open bar...USE THEM, they allow you to purchase your own alcohol at a great price we paid approx. $300 for 100 guests. They have a new permanent light-up bar and they came fully stocked with juices at eye level for children. To continue.... Christine, along with my matron of events, brought out our cakes to display, due to the hot weather. She was very warm to all of my guests and family and even gifted us with a dance to Spice Girls- "Wanna Be" They had ample parking, and provided golf-cart services to all attendees, which came in handy when we were unloading and loading all vehicles. The Gardens told us basically, if there was anything we didn't want, leave it and they cleaned everything. They also kept items they were unsure in case we left anything behind. I had the most peaceful experience I could've hoped for. My husband and I don't do a lot of things for just us and aren't used to getting all that attention, but this day was something never forget and it truly beautiful.

This is my second review for Vicky and the Gardens at Old Town Helotes, and I don't mind! The venue is kept beautifully manicured for one, but the people you will deal with with take the edge off the stresses of planning a wedding. Our wedding was on July 25th of this year, and from the moment we met Vicky, we knew we were in good hands. She is kind, punctual in responding, and if she can't respond on time, she acknowledges it and apologizes. It doesn't happen repeatedly either. She is very professional and respectful in everything she does. She will make you feel like she truly cares about your event...because she REALLY DOES! In all the time I dealt with her, it was ALWAYS a positive encounter. Mr. Dempsey, the owner, is just the same. You're not dealing with a corporation here, they are people like you and me with one common goal: to have the best presentation and smooth running event possible! NOTHING went wrong at my wedding, and although Vicky couldn't be there, she found a replacement equally as qualified...beautiful young lady whose name I believe is Kristen. We forgot the garter, but Kristen helped us improvise making the moment funnier and funner! I was great! I STRONGLY urge you to at least consider this venue, and I am open to being contacted through Vicky if you'd like a more personal account of my experience. If you're a reasonable person with high attainable standards, you will NOT be disappointed. Whatever you do, please treat my Vicky with respect and love, and that is exactly the essence of her. ~Irene PS. I recently had my wedding out at Gardens and it was absolutely amazing! This venue is very reasonable and absolutely beautiful inside and out. The Bridal Cabin was prefect to get ready in!! Vicki was very nice and made sure your day goes as planned. I would definitely recommend Gardens to future brides. My guests loved it and could not get over how beautiful this place is.We had amazing weather and had ceremony and reception outside. I highly recommend Gardens at Old Town Helotes.

This is a hidden gem in the Hill Country. I am originally from this area, but my husband and I live in Dallas. I wanted to originally get married in Boerne, but the venues were too far spread out for all of our out of town guests. We were going to get married in a Catholic church so this venue in relation to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church was less than a mile drive, which we arranged for shuttles to get from hotels anyway. I used the outside area of the venue and it was exceptional. We had a count of a little over 200, but with the end number around 180-190 it was perfect to use the round tables with 8 chairs instead of 10! The number one compliment we received from our wedding was how gorgeous the venue was with the background and ambiance. The GOTH family was wonderful, especially Vicki. She even went out of her way to send us a gift from our actual registry. I would give this place 10 stars for everything. Price, Service, Venue and amenities. This place played one of the largest parts in our wedding and it truly was the best day of our lives. The most important thing to us was to have great food, photographs and location and this place made our dreams come true.

Since the first day I arrived to this venue I knew it was the one we'd have our wedding in! So beautiful and green and although we had torrential downpours the day of, everyone still continues to rave to me about how beautiful our venue was! Vicki was extremely nice and helpful since the very beginning! Our day could not have been more perfect without all of her help!

I fell in love with Gardens at Old Town Helotes. The grounds are beautiful,the bridal cabin is wonderful, and Vicki, my wedding coordinator,was just amazing. I did not have to worry about a thing.My DJ,who was supposed to play my ceremony music,was stuck in traffic.Vicki told us not to worry that she would play it on her ipod which play on speakers throughout the grounds. I would recommend Gardens at Old Town Helotes to any one.

I can not say enough great things about this venue and staff. Ms Vicki is amazing!! She was so helpful and always ready to assist. She offered many suggestions and was very flexible. The venue was always clean and so taken care of. The day of our wedding it did rain a little bit. We were able to have the ceremony outside and the reception inside. I was disappointed about the weather but the indoor venue was still so nice and they kept everything lit up for us outside too so we still got the same effect. Ms Kristen also helped the day of the wedding and she was so sweet. She helped me to organize picture taking, dinner flow, cake cutting, everything! She stayed until the very end of the night and helped organize our gifts and everything too. We paid about $3300-3400 for ceremony, reception, rehearsal, linens and nice white chairs inside. We were also able to use the bridal cabin to get ready which is also beautiful. I HIGHLY recommend this venue. The customer service you receive is worth the price alone. You definitely won't be disappointed.

I LOVED this venue. Everything was beautiful and the staff was very polite and professional. All my guests told me that the wedding was beautiful. No guests had any complaints. Everyone loved the facility! The staff was fantastic. They were professional and very helpful in even helping us find other vendors. They followed up with my other vendors to make sure there was no confusion. They were always a delight to talk to, fulfilled every promise they made, and continuously made sure everything ran smoothly. I had no worries with them in charge.

My husband and I looked at a couple other places before seeing this venue. As soon as we drove up i fell in love with the venue. We spoke with Vicki Perkins from Gardens at Old Town Helotes and she was so very helpful in answering all of our questions from beginning to the end. The actual day of our wedding I cannot say how helpful Vicki was from setting up to the very end of the night. She is such an amazing coordinator and is such a thoughtful/caring person!! She will go above and beyond to make brides, grooms, guests and many more feel comfortable and make sure everything is exactly what you expect, want, and much more!I would recommend this venue to anyone out there looking! Very affordable, welcoming, and such a beautiful place to get married!

This vendor was nothing short of amazing. Our experience was exceptional. Vicki Perkins and Kristin Link both exceeded my expectations in more ways than one. The facility is absolutely beautiful. I highly recommend them. Thank you so very much for making our wedding beautiful.

This venue is absolutely breath-taking! The only decorations needed are centerpieces because the outdoor area is so well done with the greenery and lights there is no need for outdoor decorations. When researching venues for my wedding the Gardens at Old Town they were the cheapest one with the most included. The bridal suite is recently built and beautiful! Besides the beauty of the venue, the staff was outstanding. Vicki Perkins is the venue coordinator and she will bend over backwards for you to ensure your special day is truly special! The day of my wedding, half of the flowers were missing and she was there to comfort me in a stressful situation. Throughout the night she was in constant contact with all the vendors making sure they were doing what we had wanted them to do and kept them on track with the schedule. I didn't have to worry about a single thing that entire night! And if she had any questions she made sure she asked me instead of assuming what I wanted. I can't thank her enough for doing all she did for me and my husband that day!

I stumbled upon this place almost by accident and I couldn't be happier that I did. Not only is it beautiful but the owners/staff are wonderful. Vicki helped us every step of the way and even had a little surprise for us at the end of the night. I recommend The Gardens to anyone looking for a venue. I can not express enough how pleased I am with everything. The day went so smoothly and they were so helpful.

Ken and Vicki with the gardens were so sweet and helpful. They made my special day beautiful! They were very organized and helpful! They treat you like your part of the family! I will recommend everyone to have any event there. Beautiful location and all the add ons done prior to my wedding made it even more beautiful. :)

This outdoor/indoor venue is absolutely gorgeous. Our wedding party, families and guests were just in awe of how beautiful the place looked! The real gem of this venue is the wedding coordinator, Vicky. She's so helpful and calmly keeps everything moving. She knows weddings and has loads of advice but ultimately wants the wedding to be everything the couple wants. The morning of our wedding, it poured. There was flooding all across the city that was record-breaking. Fortunately, it was still safe to have the wedding at the venue. Vicky and her team moved the ceremony indoors. At the last minute, when the weather cleared up, they actually moved everything back outside for us. It was such a beautiful wedding! We're very happy with the way it all turned out!

I have NOTHING but positive things to say about the Gardens at Old Town Helotes. Vicki Perkins is the venue coordinator, and from the first phone call, I was blown away by her courteous customer service. The website does the beauty of the venue no justice. We got married under the pergola, had cocktail hour on their outdoor reception area, and our seated dinner in the main structure. If you have under 200 guests, it is the perfect size for everyone to have a good "view" of the bride and groom. It's more or less a blank canvas without hideous wall coverings, flooring or other things that you sometimes have to battle against for design purposes. The Gardens provides a beautiful backdrop for your wedding ceremony, ceremony chairs, tables for indoor or outdoor use, sound system, microphones, linens, and even more for additional fees. Where my day of coordinator fell through, Vicki definitely picked up the slack.

Brides and Grooms, I HIGHLY recommend Gardens at Old Town Helotes. Vicki and Ken did an amazing job at making my husband and I special day completely PERFECT. Vicki is very organized and helpful. She was sure to plan our special day to with every last detail. When I had questions, she always was a delight to work with and came up with proactive solutions if I needed help finding something for the wedding. The venue coordinator is so helpful and so nice! I couldn't have asked for a better person to work with through all the details of my wedding. She was always willing to answer questions or help with logistics. The venue itself is an old house turned into a wedding facility, with hardwood floors and beautiful gardens. The outside ceremony site with the pergola is beautiful, as well as the "back porch" where the old pool has been turned into the dance floor. All of the lights surrounding the dancing area set the perfect mood for a wedding! The inside space was great for the number of people we had - 150. We loved our experience with the Gardens at Old Town Helotes!
