We are still recovering from all the fun we had at our wedding!! John was a great DJ and awesome MC. He was spot on with all of our announcements/speeches/toasts throughout the night. We provided John with a list of song requests for both the cocktail hour and reception. He played every single thing we wanted and helped to fill in the gaps as well while very clearly paying close attention to what kind of music we like based on our prior song requests. He totally nailed it. Our dance floor stayed packed all night and we can’t recommend John enough! Thank you John!

John was great to work with! He was extremely professional and very flexible. Not only is he very easy to work with he is such a genuine person. We were very happy to have him be a part of our wedding day. He did a lovely job with our ceremony music and introductions. He kept the party going on the dance floor all night! All of our guests loved him! I highly recommend working with him.

John did a great job entertaining a well rounded group of people at our wedding. He was well in-tuned with the mood and kept the music up to speed with the crowd. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed themselves. He also was very flexible ad helpful with it came to announcements and introductions.

John was extremely great to work with and very open to any ideas we had! The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because I had a few moments where I think things could have played out better. For instance, there was maybe a couple of people on the dance floor for a song, and then he would put on something that would bring a huge crowd up, but then the immediate next song would be something so different that everyone went back to their tables and none of those people stayed on the floor to dance. It wouldn't be so bad, except that it happened more than once. The DJ role is really important at a wedding and if you get a crowd you have to be able to keep the crowd. Otherwise, like I said above, he was really sweet and incredibly responsive to our emails.

John Garland is a fantastic choice for a DJ, especially for a wedding reception, which is what I hired him for. I picked him for my reception on the strength of my venue’s recommendation and felt lucky he was available. I loved the fact that he still uses CDs since my family had a few songs (off of CDs) for the party. Mr. Garland cherry picked from our suggestions to add into the stuff he had prepared and set the perfect mood all night long (classical over dinner, 80’s/90’s dance on the open dance floor). I was impressed with his upbeat style, versatility, and affable personality. He was easy to work with, too. I appreciated his prompt responses, thorough nature, attention to detail, willingness to accommodate, and professionalism. The final result: my guests LOVED him. The dance floor was packed all night. Guests booed when he announced the shuttles would be leaving at the end of the night. A few guests even asked for his business card. What can I say? He was perfect.
