Garrett Field was an astounding wedding venue for our 159+ person wedding. We had a rain back up plan under the pavilion that worked out just wonderfully! Robin, the host, was great and so accommodating. It was a warm, happy, beautiful vibe and our guest still can’t stop talking about it!

I truly think for the amount of space they give you, the price is unbelievable. The kindness that Jill and her team give is outstanding! We had our wedding here in 2022 and we still have our guests raving about how beautiful Garrett is! I am now planning my baby shower here!

Garrett Field is a wedding venue and polo training field located in the historic town of Slidell, LA. Situated across Lake Pontchartrain from New Orleans, this 130-acre estate combines eclectic charm with the wild beauty of nature. Owners Billie and Gran have filled the estancia with priceless antiques from their travels and have highlighted the Argentine tradition of polo throughout. Their property is a unique retreat where you and your partner will be surrounded by the untamed magic of Louisiana’s bayou.
Nestled among the woodlands, Garrett Field provides a number of versatile and stunning settings for your ceremony and reception. For gatherings of up to 200, the open-air, beautifully renovated airplane hangar will be at your disposal. This pavilion has been outfitted with stained glass windows, factory windows, and skylights, through which natural light streams and sparkles off of sputnik chandeliers. Finally, grand affairs can be hosted in the polo field, a 1,000-person capacity lawn where you may even be joined by some friendly horses.
Garrett Field houses two indoor facilities: the polo barn and the traditional white manor. The working barn is the home of the estancia’s champion Argentine polo horses and is equipped with polo mallets, saddles, and hay. Upstairs, a bedroom and a dining room that seats up to 45 can be used for a dressing room and a small reception space, respectively. The white house is flanked by tall white columns and is the perfect backdrop for pictures with the wedding party. While it cannot be used for ceremonies or receptions, this mansion can be rented for getting ready and overnight accommodations. Out back, the pool area provides a lovely spot for cocktail hours with all your friends and family. Billie and Gran invite you to explore the enchanting grounds and tailor your celebration to your unique tastes and styles.

ccommodations (indoor & outdoor options), friendly & professional staff and knowledgeable / pleasant to work with (from the day we booked til the last minute we were on the premises as the event ended). Shout out to Chad, who was on hand throughout the event. He was ready to lend a hand at a moment's notice, even to unload and setup any amount of items we had to put up or put away. I am an event planner and organizer by trade and this place and the people were super impressive. With all that Garrett Field offered me for our event, I am ready to return for the next celebration!! Reasonable pricing and accessible supplies on site. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

groomsmen. All of the staff was kind and extremely helpful. The venue required the use of a wedding planner which is key. We used Say Yes Wedding and Events which worked seamlessly with Garrett Field. Thank you for an amazing experience.

ng was complete chaos filled with uncertainty and poor communication, this venue offers nothing other than 99 chairs and some tables. I had to out source everything. They are not equipped for formal or bigger weddings more of a birthday party or bridal party venue at best. I was so disappointed the day of the wedding the “manager” was no where to be seen young kids working the flips and reception. Everything was unprofessional I could never get a straight answer to any of my questions always a “it’s possible or we are hopeful” answers I regret having my wedding here definitely not equipped for cooler weather be prepared to spend a fortune in heaters if done in the winter bc they provide all of 6 heaters not sufficient for the size space if the venue. I would give anything to have my wedding again and at another location so much money spent for a day that is supposed to be so special and I was so let down. Do better if your going to call yourself a wedding venue.

r the barn were beautiful and comfortable. However, the pavilion for the Wedding was over the top! We were able to add our own decor and furnishings to make it our own. And, the wedding could start and end when we wanted. Our guests could not get over how beautiful the place was. I would absolutely recommend them over and over! Thank you so much to this wonderful venue and staff.
