Garry's Grill & Catering

We chose Garry's to cater our sister's wedding 2 YEARS in advance. They couldn't offer a contract because pricing was too volatile with inflation, and although we found that a little out of the norm, we understand inflation is hitting everyone hard and has been super unpredictable. We went for a tasting and absolutely LOVED the food - so much so, that we made it a point to make the hour drive every few weeks just to dine there! Matt was the catering manager at the time and he was AMAZING to work with. But unfortunately, Matt left and ever since then, Garry's has absolutely fallen apart at the seams. The owner is completely absent, the new catering manager was insanely rude and would not honor the things we did have in writing with Matt, and was super unapproachable. When we went to meet with the new catering manager, his attitude was SO poor, that my sister literally walked out in the middle of the meeting. It was as though we were burdening him, and this job has just been thrown in his lap. It was near impossible to reach the owner, but when she finally did, he was apologetic and assured her everything would be taken care of. Since then, he's gone ghost again and NOTHING was taken care of. They totally dropped the ball. Thankfully there was never a contract, and my sister jumped ship as soon as they fumbled this a second time. It is very clear that there is almost next to know management there and that the owner is just off in la-la land letting his crew run this restaurant into the ground. Evening dining in there, the wait staff is super unprofessional, talking about how much staff fights with each other and airing the poor practices of the establishment. People are constantly quitting or getting fired. Sorry to say, Garry's without Matt (as far as catering) is an absolute no-go. Terrible, their food really is amazing.
