Gateau Monique

Monique is a very talented, classically trained chef. She made our wedding cakes, all of the cakes were amazing and beautiful. Her vanilla cake with cream cheese icing is the best! If you live in the area definitely have Monique make your cake, it will be the best! My guests loved the cakes! She was a pleasure to work with.

Best cake I have had in my life!! I have had several of Monique's cakes- for my wedding, engagement party, and bridal shower. Beautiful and delicious. People always say no one eats the cake...there's always some leftover- not true with cakes this good! People were fighting for seconds!

Monique designed and created a cake for my best friend's bridal shower. She did exactly what I asked. It was both beautiful and tasty! Almost everyone gave me compliments on the cake. She is very affordable. She is also going to do my wedding cake in 6 months!

Monique did a fantastic job for our wedding! We wanted to do a cupcake tower with a little cutting cake at the top. We had three delicious flavors and everyone loved them! She also was able to make some gluten-free/vegan cupcakes for some of our guests who have Celiac disease or milk/egg allergies. Last minute, we also requested another small cake to save for breakfast the next morning because it was my bridesmaid's birthday the day after the wedding. Monique was extremely professional and able to help us with all of our questions and requests. Everything was set up beautifully for our wedding, and very affordable! I would highly recommend Monique for your wedding or other event.

Working with Monique from Gateau Monique was absolutely wonderful; she was referred to us by Antrim 1844 and we couldn't be happier with the magnificent cake she created for us. The tasting was so much fun (she prepared 4 delicious flavor combinations), and was open to creating a beautiful design to compliment our wedding look/theme. The three-tiered cake was absolutely stunning; but most importantly delicious too! We decided on two flavor combinations for each layer: a vanilla cake, gianduja mousse, & frosted with hazelnut buttercream...and a chocolate chip cake filled with coconut cream and frosted with vanilla buttercream. What may have made me the happiest though, is that she prepared a complimentary gluten free cake for my mother who is Celiac. It meant so much to know my Mom could enjoy a slice of wedding cake on my special day. Monique's bakery is absolutely delightful; be sure to stop by for an exquisite pastry if you're in the area!!!

My husband and I used Gateau Monique for our December wedding and could not have been happier. We ended up doing a dessert bar as well as a 6" cake for cutting. My family provided some of the desserts, but Monique provided the cutting cake, matching mini cupcakes, and cannoli. Everything tasted wonderful and looked amazing! Plus, Monique was so friendly and easy to work with!

Monique was so easy to work with. We are still talking about how delicious the wedding cake and cupcakes were. The price was reasonable, the display was beautiful and everything was DELICIOUS! We would highly recommend :)

I am still getting comments on how delicious that cake was! Monique was not the first cake we tried, but we knew the moment we tasted her cake and spoke with her that not only was our cake going to be DELICIOUS, but that we would love working with her. We were not disappointed! The design was perfect, Monique was on top of everything more than anyone else. In fact, she was so together that I found myself touching base a couple extra times because all the other vendors kept needing things, I was sure I was forgetting something with Monique, but nope- she was set to go! This really put my mind at ease. Add to that, the moment anyone at our venue (from coordinator to bar tender to kitchen staff) heard that Monique was our dessert chef, they immediately got a big grin, said I'd love her, then told us their favorite cakes from her! Everyone said hers are the best in the area and I believe them! We cannot wait for our anniversary cake and I just might order one every year after because they're just so darn delicious! Thank you, Monique, for being so amazing.

My husband and I had a rustic themed wedding and wanted a "messy" iced cake. Monique went above and beyond all of our expectations. She is an incredible baker with loads of experience. And not only did her cakes look amazing, they tasted just a great!! She also did a grooms cake for my husband, a german chocolate cake to die for! I could not be happier with the work she put into our cakes. Not to mention, she's one of the sweetest women around!
