When we were looking for photographers Ashley did a video call with us asking us what we were looking for with a photographer. During our engagement pictures Ashley eased us into being in front of the camera and my husband and I ended up loving it! She helped pose us without making anything feel unnatural and even explained that if we felt unnatural, we probably look unnatural in the pictures. Our first engagement session got rained out early on, and Ashley was incredible about communicating to reschedule. One of my favorite things that Ashley does is send sneak peaks right away! I would spend days in awe of the sneak peaks alone, Ashley knows how to work the camera for sure! We continue to be blown away by how talented she is. On our wedding day Ashley not only photographed the day, but was there for support always asking how I was doing as I was getting ready to walk down the isle. Taking pictures on our wedding day is one of my favorite memories because we were constantly laughing and having fun with Ashley. And every photo from that day is incredible!! I cannot recommend Ashley enough and we will absolutely be going back to her in the future!

vantage of the mountains for an engagement shoot backdrop. Since we were only there for a weekend, we HAD to make the session happen as scheduled. It pretty much poured all day, and Ashley was super communicative about what she thought she could make happen with the weather, and was considerate to ask whether we wanted to proceed with the session. We did, and we experienced rain, fog, and snow. I don't know how Ashley took those elements and created such beautiful photos, but somehow she worked her magic! We're super happy with how our photos turned out, editing and all. We would highly recommend Ashley and Gather & Abide Photography. :)

n prompts and the time we spent felt like quality time as a couple laughing and enjoying each other. The lighting and color on all of our photos was truly magical, she really captured us so beautifully! I love that our photos capture the essence of us as a couple, and the photos look candid rather than overly posed. Some photographers have portfolios where all the photos & poses look exactly the same no matter the couple, but I think Ashley does a great job at capturing unique shots that really feel like they fit us. I highly recommend Gather & Abide photography as she is kind, responsive, and so talented! We hope we can work with her again to capture our future milestones.
