ice day, there are several unique locations nearby for pictures. On a not-so-nice day, like ours, there are some great locations in the venue itself, so you wont miss out on having a cool backdrop. Acoustics were important to us, and the intimate space allows you to be heard during the ceremony without microphones. The location of the venue just can't be beat. With a shiny new parking garage right down the street, parking isn't a problem. There's also the added benefit of being within walking distance of the main square, so if you feel like going out after, there are lots of options. If you plan on hiring a day of coordinator - hire Jennifer, the venue's owner. She has tons of experience, is always upbeat and positive, organized, patient, and all around awesome. We seriously can't say enough great things about her. Between being attentive to the bridal party in the bridal suite, and keeping us fed and watered throughout the night, we didn't have much to worry about and could focus on being present. She'll give you as little or as much help as you need ironing out the finer details of the wedding, and ensure you end up happy. For food, Gather has an exclusive caterer, CN Catering. They have a decent number of different options to choose from. Appetizers in particular were great, and we'll give a special shout out to the Honey Walnut Shrimp for being delicious. Instead of cake, we went with the bite-sized desserts, which was a great choice. The staff was especially fantastic. They were responsive and professional, and made us feel like VIPs the whole day. All in all, our wedding at Gather was really incredible and we were so glad we decided to celebrate there. 5/5 - would use for next wedding.

We opted to have Jennifer be our day of coordinator and we HIGHLY recommend doing that. Not only did Jennifer make sure our wedding was seamless but she made sure all vendors arrived, set up, and left right on time. Having our wedding at Gather was a dream come true.

The catering company they use is also top notch. People were commenting all night (and have mentioned it to me even since we got married) on how delicious the food was. The staff transformed the ceremony into an extended reception room complete with 15 tables and a dance floor within 10-15 minutes after the ceremony. It was absolutely magical. So easy. And the venue gave us great recommendations for other vendors - cake, desserts, photographer, etc. This venue was such a perfect spot for us. We had a lot of out of town guests and downtown McKinney provides nice hotels, historical spots, coffee places, and shopping all within walking distance of our venue. It is VERY picturesque and our guests loved it! We walked two minutes from the rehearsal at Gather to our rehearsal dinner restaurant! The venue is lovely and unique and is perfect for a classic wedding while providing a very special romantic vibe! I would recommend this place to anyone for a wedding or any event!

We visited many venues within our budget all over the North Texas area and our last stop on the list was Gather in Downtown McKinney. The moment we walked into the venue we gasped – the pictures do NOT do this venue justice. Don’t get me wrong, the pictures are gorgeous, but you NEED to see this venue in person and you’ll fall even more in love with the charm and uniqueness this venue provides. In addition to a wonderful venue you get to work with one of the most amazing women I’ve ever met, Jennifer (owner). She is FABULOUS! She made us feel like a member of the family the moment we walked in. She genuinely cares about your wedding and wants it to be as perfect as it possibly can be. Let’s talk about the wedding day: Jennifer was the MVP of our wedding day!! I had nothing to worry about outside of my hair and makeup. Jennifer and her team are ROCKSTARS and handled everything (including all the set-up)! Our guests were amazed at the attention to detail, cleanliness, and positive attitudes of the staff. On to another important detail: Food. We did not want to serve “typical wedding food” to our guests and were a bit nervous walking into our tasting night (yes, you get a night dedicated to tasting all sorts of yummy food). We were blown away at how delicious everything was. Our guests were extremely happy with the meal options and we did not hear one complaint about our food…only positives reviews from the apps all the way to the desserts. I could go on and on and on about why Gather, Jennifer, and her staff made our wedding day so incredibly special…I’m tearing up a little bit just writing this review…they are really that amazing!! You cannot go wrong hosting your event here.

Her bridal suite was perfect and she allowed to us to have snacks and mimosas to get us through the day. We had a smaller wedding (90 guests) and the venue was perfect! We were able to easily move throughout the space and included a large dance floor and photo booth area. Her staff was attentive and great fun! At one point, everyone in the building was dancing! I tell everyone, it really was the best day of our lives and Jennifer played a large role in that. The food! How could I forget the food! CN Catering was amazing, Jennifer did a great job of scheduling our tasting a few months before and then allowing us to adjust the menu as we saw fit. We got so many compliments on the food - we also enjoyed that she made it a priority for us (bride and groom) to spend time together and make sure we had time to eat our food. Don't think twice about reserving this venue if you have the option! You won't be disappointed!

incredible relief, there is no desperate need to add extras. I think the best part (aside from the food which everyone raves about today still) was her clear direction at the rehearsal and the day of, there are so many moving parts in the time before your wedding and especially the days right before, we hired her as our coordinator and she always was thorough with us to help us check off that huge list in a timely manner. Then on the rehearsal and the wedding day she was clear and direct with everything and everyone so it went smoothly. I was surprised at how on time we were, and that a lot of that weight was taken off my husband and I, put on to her and she worked it like the professional she truly is. I am so incredibly happy this was the venue I chose, it was in every way what I wanted for my wedding!

The venue itself is so beautiful and I grew up in Downtown McKinney, so it felt special to me. Jennifer does everything! Not only is the venue beautiful, it’s also easy. Gather’s caterer is SO good. Many of our guests told us it was the best food they had ever eaten at a wedding. Also, the tasting was probably my favorite part of wedding planning. I also appreciated that I didn’t have to meet with vendors to rent tables, chairs, lennons, waiters, bartenders, etc. Gather provides all of it! Jennifer literally takes care of everything. Any time my mom and I felt stressed about wedding details, we would meet with Jennifer and she would take our to do lists and just do it for us. (She also doesn’t charge a cake cutting fee or a cork popping fee, which I didn’t even know was a thing until I started wedding planning). Jennifer was our day-off coordinator, which made things even easier for us. I didn’t use floral centerpieces, I did candles and greenery instead. While my mom and I were relaxing and getting our hair and makeup done upstairs, Jennifer decorated every table. She called all my vendors (cake, DJ, photo booth, alcohol, etc.) and arranged drop off times. I didn’t have to do any of it! The staff at Gather was so sweet and efficient. We only had our reception there and when the wedding party arrived, they took us upstairs and fed us appetizers and drinks. They staff checked on my husband and I all night to make sure we were good. It was a buffet style dinner that went so smoothly that no one really had to wait in line. The staff cleaned up quickly and just really made sure that all the guests had a good time. It’s hard to put into words how happy Ryan and I are with Gather. So many of our friends told us it was the best wedding they had ever been to and it was the wedding I always wanted, but didn’t know I wanted. Working with Jennifer at Gather made wedding planning fun and relaxing for my mom and I. I felt like I truly got to enjoy the experience and I just feel like I had the most perfect wedding ever. Ryan and I and our families are trying to come up with an occasion to have at Gather just so that we can hangout with Jennifer again and party in the prettiest venue in the area.

The day of the weddiing Jennifer made sure that we were not stressed and everything was in place, our wine glasses were never empty, made sure we actually got to eat, and even packed up some cake for us to take home. Our night was perfect, fun celebration, and stress free...how it should be!

right at home. The building is a beautiful and doesn’t need a ton of decor to look amazing, though on our wedding day, Jennifer did an amazing job of setting up the personal touches we brought in. If you chose Gather, make sure to have Jennifer do your day of coordinating. She worked with my vendors starting about a month out to help take some of the stress off of my plate, and was there the entire day-of getting things ready and greeting vendors as they arrived, so all I had to do was relax and get pretty. Her responsiveness to emails and texts constantly assured me that everything would be great! The evening went off without a hitch, despite the heavy rain, because of Jennifer and her amazing staff. The food was served quickly, and the glasses were never empty! We have gotten countless compliments from our guests about how beautiful the venue was, how delicious the food from CN Catering was, and how smoothly the wedding went. We did a paired plated meal, and the food was perfect! Everyone got two meats and sides, and they were able to make special plates to accommodate for some of our guests with dietary restrictions. The appetizers were also so good (I’m looking at you, mac n’ cheese balls!!). The entire staff was friendly, professional, and made the night perfect. I am going to miss working with Jennifer because it has truly been a joy and there is no way that our day could have been as special without her and the entire staff at Gather! Thank you!

CN Catering was the BEST. I wish I could have their food every day. Our macaroni bites, our roast beef, our Chicken Nostra, the mashed potatoes, ALL perfect. We had so many people tell us they wanted to go back for seconds because it was THAT good! The staff was friendly, efficient, and quick. They turned over the ceremony space into the dance floor, quickly, and you almost didn't even know it was happening! They served professionally, and were a fabulous addition to the day. The details at Gather, just brought the entire day together. Everything from the wood floors, to the chandeliers, to the tin ceiling. Every detail was maintained and perfect. I wish I could give Gather more stars, and I wish I could tell every bride to stop what they're doing and check this place out.

was for our event. Having one side for dinner and one for dance was perfect and made for a great cocktail hour! The candle wall became a beautiful backdrop where we could be photographed with our guests as they arrived. Everyone raved about the food!!! I heard sooo many people talk about the pleasant surprise of the food being so good! CN Catering knocked it out of the park! Some of the guys were thrilled to get seconds but most people said they were stuffed! Our vegan guests said that was THE BEST vegetarian meal they had ever had, even at a restaurant!! The chicken Nostra definitely earned its reputation and everyone devoured the mac’n cheese balls and the crostinis went over famously too! We were so impressed watching the staff go back and forth to tables letting our guests stay at the tables to chat. If a guest asked for something, it was taken care of immediately! Everything was timed perfectly and my only disappointment was that it ended! The staff was incredible at helping tear down as soon as we finished our last dance. And we were out in 30 min and that’s with us stopping to saying goodbyes! This was a night we’ll never forget! Jennifer was a dream to work with and everything was taken care of so far in advance, I actually got to stop by and see the venue set up before we even started hair and makeup! What a treat to know it was ready to go and I had time to relax either in the bridal suite or at the hotel beforehand! I wish I had another event coming up! I’d do it all over again!!

Little do they know she’s the owner as well as yes magician, because she took care of everything and more while we didn’t have to worry about a thing on our day! The venue itself is a beautiful work of art in downtown mckinney which offers a great background for pictures and celebrations. I could not have asked for a more beautiful backdrop for our ceremony and reception. The fact that everyone could be in one place for everything was amazing because 90 percent of our guests were from out of state. Gather was very affordable within our budget and having them do their own catering was great not only because it took that away from us having to find a caterer but because I kid you not, every single guest raved about the food!! It was a beautiful presentation but the taste and flavor was out of this world! I cannot rave enough about them and cannot lie when I am so thankful for them because they were genuinely nice and pleasant to work with and my husband feels the same way! After meeting with Jennifer, seeing the venue in person and going through all Gather has to offer, we knew it was the perfect place for our wedding and reception. As a very detailed bride, I required a little extra time with questions and going through every detail :) luckily Jennifer was there to help guide me and my husband through every step! We also loved the local McKinney vendors that Jennifer recommended, and since we trusted her and her expertise SO much, we ended up using her suggested vendors for almost all the vendors needed, including flowers, photography, videography, photo booth, cake bakery and of course used their DELICIOUS chef/menu for our full dinner menu. It was basically like getting an ALL-IN-ONE experience by choosing Gather! ke something other than a generic hotel ballroom. Gather has that in spades – call it "shabby chic," "retro" or whatever you like, the place has atmosphere to spare. It also has a huge advantage in being a one-stop shop for both event space and catering. I should mention that I'm a professional musician, and I've played hundreds of weddings. There's a reason they call it the "rubber chicken circuit." Not here. The Gather's catering is off the chain. Delicious, and with a variety that will satisfy the most discriminating and adventuresome palettes. You can tell it's a family-run business, too, because we had the personal attention of someone who is invested in the successful outcome of every event. Gather has a great rep amongst vendors, too. Nearly every vendor we spoke to offered us a great price, because we were working with Gather. That speaks volumes in my book. Not to be overlooked is the rule for real estate: location, location, location. Gather is located just off the town square in old downtown McKinney, putting it within walking distance of a dozen great restaurants (important for rehearsal dinners), hotels, and shops (an added benefit for your guests before and after the wedding). Did I mention that Gather was one of the most reasonably-priced venues we found? Put that all together, and you have the total package - a great space, great food, great location, and all for a great price. We can't recommend Gather highly enough!

Our wedding day was absolutely perfect and our guests truly enjoyed themselves. The caterer prepared a truly awesome meal, every morsel was delicious! This was our first child to be married so we were looking for lots of advice. Every vendor they recommended was professional, reasonable and easy to work with. On the day of our event, the rehearsal ran late so Jennifer stepped in to help with setup. By the time we returned for the dinner, the room looked gorgeous and was exactly as planned. Although Gather hosts many events, we felt like we were their most important customer throughout the entire process. Thanks to their expertise, we were able to relax and enjoy the moment. ick walls, and ornate high ceilings are absolutely gorgeous. The amount of decor and florals we added to our wedding was so minimal because you really don't need much to make this venue look elegant. Jennifer was such a blessing to work with along the way and on the day of our wedding, she kept the timeline smooth and seamless. Our guests had nothing but praise and kind words about our whole wedding including raving about the delicious appetizers and entrees! We cannot thank Gather and Jennifer for making our wedding perfect.

, Gather saved the day. When I had lots of questions that my wedding planner wasn't answering and I realized that we were way behind schedule, Crystal stepped in at the last minute. Not only did they figure out all of the decor three weeks out, they also contacted all the vendors for me, met with me on a Sunday, and even worked with my mom, as well, to coordinate stuff so I wouldn't have to stress at the last minute. Example: even though there was a misunderstanding with my prior planner about getting a room block, Crystal called the hotel where everyone was staying and figured out a way to hand deliver welcome bags *despite the fact* that the hotel didn't' have everyone booked on the same list. When the cake showed up the wrong color, she had a local baker come and fix it just hours before the wedding. These ladies are pros, but they feel like really good friends, and they were so cheerful every time I talked to them. I can't tell you how valuable that was to a stressed-out bride! Everything was so freaking fantastic, and I still smile like a goofball every time I look at the pictures. If you are having a small-medium wedding (less than 150 people), I cannot recommend this place enough.

But what really sold us was Crystal and Jennifer. They're everything you could ever hope for in a wedding vendor. They're knowledgeable, flexible, and most of all, they love being part of people's special days, and you can really tell. They helped with every decision, every timeline and made sure the day-of details went smoothly. If you're looking for a beautiful venue with and an exceptional experience, Gather in Downtown McKinney is the perfect choice.

After that our guests went to the other side for dinner. While were were all eating, the ceremony area was transformed (seamlessly) into the dance floor for the rest of the evening. It seemed like there would be a lot of moving around and logistics involved but everything flowed so well. The guests loved everything. I keep getting compliments on how beautiful everything was. Pros: Gather caters all the food themselves (so tasty and one less vendor to manage), you have the option to bring your own alcohol for them to server (major savings), there's beautiful bridal room right upstairs (that fit my 9 bridesmaids!) and they will help you coordinate everything leading up to the wedding and the day of. Also, Gather is such an amazing value compared to so many other venues we looked at. Cons: The venue is intimate, which I loved. It's perfect for under 130 people. I wanted a smaller wedding so this worked perfectly. Can't think of anything else! Highly recommend!!

a bride like myself who was doing everything without the help of a planner. They were able to bring things to my attention that I hadn't thought of yet and make suggestions about everything from vendors to photo locations. Also a HUGE plus was there warmth and acceptance when I had to bring along my 3 year old daughter to most of our meetings. They were both so sweet and accommodating. Our daughter's comfort level was our top on our wedding day (we didn't want her to be lost and overwhelmed on such an important day for our family) and Jennifer's help was so invaluable!! She helped her make a basket when we realized her flower girl basket didn't make it to the location and kept her entertained by walking with her before our ceremony stated. And naturally, as 3 year olds will do, our daughter decided she had to use the potty RIGHT BEFORE WALKING DOWN THE ISLE AS THE FLOWER GIRL LOL! Jennifer helped her walk, then took her to the potty and back and NO ONE EVEN NOTICED! How could we replace that skill or place a value on it!? We can't! In addition to taking care of our little one, I was also well taken care of. And as a bride who planned and stressed and worried for months it was so refreshing of an experience. Jennifer kept me hydrated all night and even snuck me away to use the girls room alone and change my shoes- Can't even tell you brides how awesome it is to have a person who basically knows exactly what you need before you even know you need it lol! The location right in Downtown McKinney is also a huge plus as its adorable. Almost all of our guests came from out of town so it was great that there were things to do and see so close to where our wedding and reception were. Our food was fabulous we still have guests talking about it, our wedding night ran smoothly from the ceremony to apps to pictures to dinner to dancing. I think you get the idea, this location is a sound choice for any event.

I love the look, the pretty wood floors, amazing upgrades in the remodel (bar, layout, chairs, space), chandeliers, gorgeous color tones, twinkle lights in the windows, clean space, fun atmosphere outside, etc. BUT what makes this review deserve 10 stars out of 5 is their dedication to make brides happy. Crystal is amazing. I worked with her in the process of booking my wedding at Gather. I rented my linens through them, and she came up with a color I would have NEVER thought of. She was honest, helpful, encouraging, calm and with all of this she makes you realize how fun this process is where as other venues make you feel like you are just another contract. Crystal will be a friend for a long time now. Jennifer is an angel. From beginning to end with her helpful suggestions, stories of what has worked and what might not, being positive and happy throughout the process, genuinely caring about the event, and being lovely to my family and groom/his family. Multiple, MULTIPLE guests thought she was a family member helping at the wedding. That is how amazing she was. Her attention to detail, goal to stay on schedule but not feel like we were on a schedule, her ability to manage the staff working that night which were ALL lovely, I could just go on and on. I was really, really, really blessed with the vendors/venue I chose to use for my wedding, no hiccups (partly because I told myself not to worry about things and to stay organized), but the girls at Gather really deserve the award for making this happen. Your venue is everything. Pick a good venue like Gather and everything else will fall into place!

you pondered it pre-engagement. Stressful to say the least! The one thing I can say is having my wedding at Gather (on 10.22.16) was one of the best decisions I could have made! How in the world does the venue, food, ceremony and reception become one of the least stressful things in the planning of a wedding?!? Three things - Jennifer, Crystal and their staff! These people know what they are doing and they are GREAT at doing it! From the planned night of tastings, to touch base times for communicating decisions and details - it was as if I had hired a wedding planner for every step of the way. Jennifer saw my vision and did anything she could to make it come through, the years of event planning is very evident! From giving ideas to some of the best locations for photography, having suggestions for every situation, as well as showing MacGyver skills with my dress as we realized the bustle had not been corrected in the alterations process! Me and my husband truly had an AMAZING night and owe it to these AMAZING people!!! Not to mention the venue is gorgeous with its character and charm and a few recent updates that were spot on!! The bridal suite is beautiful and allowed for great relaxation before the festivities started. Having the ceremony and reception under the same roof was a definite plus for us as we had several out of town guests and the less time in a car from one place to another, the better. The food was superb - apps (mac & cheese balls, bruschetta and stuffed mushrooms is what we chose) and dinner (chicken with nostra sauce - an artichoke, tomato and basil cream sauce) was mouth watering and the service was excellent. If you are looking for an amazing location in the DFW area for your wedding or event, I urge you to visit the Gather and see what they have to offer, you will be glad you did! I would not hesitate to use this venue for events or get togethers I can dream up for the future as things could not of gone more perfectly! (PS - if you notice them starting up their brunch again, go to it - it's delicious and we are keeping our eye out for it again!!)

They make sure your event goes exactly how you plan it and they keep everyone on schedule. It was the most amazing night and a lot of it had to do with all those who made it possible due to Gather.

we'd brought in for the toasts! I live in Seattle, WA so they coordinated the entire thing with my mother in person and myself via email. It was so effortless and everything turned out perfectly. Jennifer is also extremely good with children, which isn't an issue unless you're ring bearer is under 2 and ours was a bit temperamental. She handled him and the guests that needed to be cut off, all with no visible effort or disruption to the event. Their caterers also cook absolutely delicious things, so anything you select will be amazing. An added bonus with this venue is all of the other local vendors they work with. We did Stalk Market for flowers, Mom and Popcorn for the popcorn bar and there's a wine vendor right around the corner who stayed open late in case we needed more wine. Love all of the local businesses we got to use!
