Gather in Downtown McKinney

d Jill and Darrell were a dream to work with. I highly recommend using the list of preferred vendors that they keep on their website. It made it feel so effortless to put everything together knowing that all my vendors had worked together before. They even have an in-house photographer so nothing was missed on our special day. Chris and I felt like royalty the entire time!

he staff went above and beyond making sure our event went off without a hitch. At one point, the owner even ran out to get food for two children who were not on the RVSP list. Darrell is amazing, and stayed on sight during the dinner ensuring the bride and groom had our families had a top notch experience. Sound system, lighting, screen for the slide show and bar service were all professionally done. There isn’t one thing we would have changed about the venue and dinner. We opted for passed appetizers and a plated dinner from Knife and Faulk. Knife and Faulk created a custom menu for our Aloha Y’all themed dinner: a huge hit with all guests. Even the Hawaii-born folks thought it was ono! The servers working the passed appetizers kept a nice flow of food, ensuring all guest had a chance to try the great selections (the pineapple chicken char su was the overall favorite). From initial meet to execution of our rehearsal dinner, Gather in McKinney made the complex processes of wedding planning as smooth as possible. Gather presented clear and concise wedding packages for us to choose from and provided quick responses to any questions. The two planning meetings we had prior to the event ensured we stayed on track. We are so glad we chose Gather for our rehearsal dinner and out HIGHLY recommend them to anyone searching for a beautiful, professional venue for any event.

they offered so we could taste the choices of food and it was fabulous! The event building is just stunningly beautiful, all I did was decorate the tables and bring in some framed pictures of the kids. The overhead projector was amazing and huge for better viewing by all the guests to watch the video we put together of the Bride and Groom. The owners were helpful from start to finish, and kept things moving throughout the 3 hours. We really enjoyed the photo booth/area they created. I felt like we had our own personal coordinators as well as renting the venue. Oh and they also prepare the seating charge, and you can make changes right up to the last minute which was handy due to the fact that people cancel sometimes at the last minute and you need to change things up when that happens. The way they presented it was very creative as well! I would recommend Gather to everyone! Thank you Darrell and to your lovely wife!

guests needed special attention and they were in tune to that. They even sent food to my daughter while she waited in the bride's room. We chose to serve heavy appetizers in an up and mingling style. So many guests complimented the selections. Darrell, the venue host, was present and was attentive to our needs. The venue itself has all the charm- inviting chandeliers and a cool vintage vibe. Check out pictures on their site of the brick wall. Thank you Darrell for all of your help planning, recommending vendors and creating the atmosphere we were looking for.

eautiful! Darrell, Jill and Donna were a step ahead of us at every turn. They accommodated our every request and anticipated our needs before we even knew we had them. Professional and personal! I would recommend Gather in Downtown McKinney for ANY event. Ours happened to be a rehearsal dinner for 80. . . but they could handle anything, large or small. THANK YOU Gather!

with chandeliers, candle walls, cake décor and a inbuilt photo wall. Additionally, it has provision for a projector, up lighting, mic system and a bar. The best part was BYOB and inclusion of premium quality linen, runners and liberty to decorate as needed. The venue can easily hold 75-100 people with place to have a dance floor. Darrell is one of the best people I have worked with. Always smiling and helpful. The entire staff was more than accommodative of our needs. It is in historic downtown McKinney and keeps with the beauty of the downtown as well. I am so happy I choose this place for my reception.

ring was everything and more for food. The best food I've had at a wedding and it was mine!

rk with for our rehearsal dinner. The food with C & N catering was even better than the tasting. Several our guests rave over the service and food. Can't go wrong with them!

unday. I'm still in shock they were able to accommodate my family of 50+ people on that short of notice, but they made it work! Jennifer was who I worked with and she was BEYOND helpful. The venue and decor were beautiful, and let me tell you about the food! CN Catering is amazing, the food was absolutely delicious!!!They turned a very hard day for my family into a wonderful celebration that we will always hold close to our heart. Thank you to Jennifer and all the staff there!!!!

walk in to my luncheon and all the details were handled. I’ve hosted two graduation luncheons at Gather and both went flawlessly.

n commented on it. She patient with questions and delightful to talk to. She kept everything on schedule but gave us flexibility when we wanted to adapt it a bit.

tart. Food from CN Catering was fantastic, waitstaff was very helpful and attentive, place looked amazing. Worth every penny!!

Reunion or whatever you have in mind! Sophistication with class!! Jennifer is so wonderful to work with and I can't thank her enough for helping make our dinner go so smoothly! She and her staff are Top Notch!! The dinner and ambiance was amazing!! I highly recommend!!

olutely gorgeous and intimate. It's clear as soon as you tour the it that a lot of thought was put into the layout of this charming building, from the incredible brick wall to the chandeliers, the candle wall, the entire bright open space. Jennifer, the owner, made us feel at home and completely at ease through the entire planning process and we never felt a moment of stress. She coordinated everything from the delivery of our charcuterie board in the bridal suite to the tiniest details of the wedding and reception. You can tell that Gather is a labor of love for Jennifer and her entire staff. Everything, and I mean everything, was absolutely fantastic and we couldn't be happier that our daughter's big day was celebrated at Gather.

d our wedding for 200 people in late December but with things escalating we decided that we would postpone our “big” wedding until 2021 and continue with a small church ceremony followed by a backyard BBQ at our home. I took it upon myself to try and surprise my wife by booking a small venue where we could at least get together to have a few drinks and eat some dinner. But what I didn’t think I would find is Jennifer and her awesome team at Gather! After explaining to her that we were looking for a last-minute venue (3 weeks out) for about 20 friends and family to host a dinner to celebrate our wedding, she took it upon herself to plan a perfect reception! She was awesome and became our day-of coordinator, working with us to plan out the whole 3 hours that would include a happy hour, grand entrance, dinner, first dance/family dances, toasts, and even a few hours of dancing with friends. The night was perfect! We didn’t have to worry about anything, we just told her some of our ideas and she took them and executed them flawlessly, from setting up some custom cornhole boards we made, to setting up our cake, signs, and putting out pictures, it was perfect! Jennifer was really easy to work with, she was so quick to respond to any questions we had, she made sure that our guests were having a good time and she gave us the perfect worry-free night. We couldn’t recommend the venue and Jennifer enough! In addition to recommending Jennifer and her team, we received so many compliments on the food and the appetizers so I’m sure with whatever you select you can’t go wrong!

ith. She handled all questions, comments, changes with great ease and without any issues at all. And the food was EXCELLENT and from the group I had, not one negative comment. From the appetizers to dessert, we were very pleased. The venue was set up perfectly for our group, too. I felt like we just walked in and Jennifer and her staff took care of us with no hiccups.

tely comfortable and she was in control of everything I felt I could not control. She is knowledgeable about the McKinney area and can give recommendations for rehearsal dinners, entertainment, etc. She was quick to respond to every question and sincerely showed a desire to make everything perfect for my daughters wedding. Gather is a beautiful venue in itself and Jennifer was what made our wedding perfect. Amazing venue!!

h phone call or email, took care of each detail with perfection, and made hosting this event a breeze. In the end, I feel I made a new friend. Specs showed up two hours early but that was no problem for Jennifer and her staff. Flowers had to be delivered and Jennifer handled it. When we entered that evening the venue was stunning. The bar was well staffed so there was never a line. Due to Covid, buffets and carving stations are no longer allowed so dinner was plated and delivered hot to each guest. Normally there is an extra cost for this service but that was waived. So many compliments on the food; it was delicious. I highly recommend The Gather and will use them again at the next opportunity.

ooth and easy even planning during a pandemic. Committed to making sure covid didn't ruin my day. Tables, chairs, linen, plates and glass wear were all provided which was a huge savings to us. The food was amazing and my guest are still raving about it. Jennifer was also my day of coordinator, she was there all day and throughout the entire event. She literally did everything to make sure we stayed on time and that we and even our parents had everything we needed. Jennifer did everything but hold me dress when I needed to go to the bathroom!! I will find any excuse to have another event at Gather. The space alone is gorgeous and so easy to add whatever flare you want to make it your own with great advice from Jennifer on what has worked and not worked in other events.

and the epic COVID pandemic), planning a wedding and facing many challenges of guests who could not come, preparing for safety and protection and trying to work around unforeseen circumstances, Jennifer was incredibly accommodating, fun, kind and made the experience extra special - especially given the circumstances. To have a venue and coordinator who was WILLING to help with the changes was greater than anything we could have anticipated. Gather McKinney is a special place and Jennifer and her staff were fun, prepared, thoughtful and helpful in thinking through the big and small details. The original wedding did not go as planned with the number of guests we had hoped....but the WEDDING DID GO ON and it was incredibly special and intimate. The Bride and Groom will be back to celebrate in BIGGER style for their 1 year anniversary. Thank you Gather McKinney and Jennifer for making a crazy unpredictable time such an amazing memory and very special.

d family!

to have a wedding reception and/or ceremony! I was a stress free bride thanks to the amazing staff that helped coordinate with the vendors to ensure my wedding day was perfect!

ed during COVID. I don’t have enough character count to say all of the great things she does. If you want the Major Leagues of the wedding industry, look no further.

and how to conduct a gathering. She answered questions we didn’t even know we had! We then flowed seamlessly into the rehearsal dinner where her staff served us a delicious meal. We have no complaints, only praise for Jennifer, her staff and the caterer. Everyone made us feel at ease which enabled us to enjoy our son and daughter-in-law’s special weekend. I can’t thank Gather in Downtown McKinney enough for making the rehearsal and dinner so effortless for us.

way and great suggestions for our party. All of the vendors she recommended were great and the party went off without a hitch. I was a little nervous about having an event during this season and Jennifer was well prepared, knew all of the state regulations and really put my mind at ease. Gather is now my go to venue for any parties! Thank you Jennifer for making our party a great success. The girls will always remember their special party!!

Jennifer also is so loving, patient, and genuinely cares for her costumers. I had not a single worry during my wedding planning, not a single one! This venue was at the top of my list and there’s a reason why. The staff is professional, the venue was beautiful, and affordable. I would seriously book this venue for any event that they allow! You will never regret booking this venue. My wedding two years ago and people are still talking about it!!!!!

. I did not have to worry about a thing and she handled everything. My husband wanted to get married on 02/02/2020 saying our vows at 2:20 pm and she had me walking down the aisle at 2:02 and worked with our pastor to have the vows said at 02:20 pm. This was great and yes it was super bowl Sunday and made the day that much better because my husband is a huge Chief's fan. The food was great too and we received lots of compliments.

an easily be arranged to support 100+ guests comfortably. On a nice day, there are several unique locations nearby for pictures. On a not-so-nice day, like ours, there are some great locations in the venue itself, so you wont miss out on having a cool backdrop. Acoustics were important to us, and the intimate space allows you to be heard during the ceremony without microphones. The location of the venue just can't be beat. With a shiny new parking garage right down the street, parking isn't a problem. There's also the added benefit of being within walking distance of the main square, so if you feel like going out after, there are lots of options. If you plan on hiring a day of coordinator - hire Jennifer, the venue's owner. She has tons of experience, is always upbeat and positive, organized, patient, and all around awesome. We seriously can't say enough great things about her. Between being attentive to the bridal party in the bridal suite, and keeping us fed and watered throughout the night, we didn't have much to worry about and could focus on being present. She'll give you as little or as much help as you need ironing out the finer details of the wedding, and ensure you end up happy. For food, Gather has an exclusive caterer, CN Catering. They have a decent number of different options to choose from. Appetizers in particular were great, and we'll give a special shout out to the Honey Walnut Shrimp for being delicious. Instead of cake, we went with the bite-sized desserts, which was a great choice. The staff was especially fantastic. They were responsive and professional, and made us feel like VIPs the whole day. All in all, our wedding at Gather was really incredible and we were so glad we decided to celebrate there. 5/5 - would use for next wedding.

mple and you can tell that Jennifer, and her entire staff, are truly invested and passionate about making your day special. When it came to planning a wedding we weren't sure where to start, but thankfully we didn't have to worry once we booked with Gather. Jennifer has the experience and expertise to help any couple plan their wedding with every detail considered. - Lauren Gather is THE spot to have your wedding. Jennifer and her team not only want you to get married at their venue, they genuinely want to be apart of the love and celebration. Jennifer is absolutely amazing and takes complete control on the day of, so that you can relax and enjoy celebrating the start of your married lives as a couple. She is caring and supportive, a professional in every aspect of the process, and an energetic and positive person to be around. The venue itself is amazing, but Jennifer shows just how passionate she is about what she does, and about celebrating love. THIS is what truly makes Gather what it is. Jennifer and her staff create the perfect package, and while other places are great, I'm sure, Gather is THE PLACE to hold your special day. - Sam We are soooo thankful to have found this venue and this team to share our special day with and couldn't be more appreciative of their support and kindness! - Lauren and Sam

guest and made it so easy for me to fly in and host a effortless beautiful event! The decor was beautiful and the ambiance of the sweet downtown elegant home town feel with even the Christmas lights still up was priceless! HIGHLY recommend!

bridal shower. Jennifer and her crew were very accommodating. The food was wonderful and the service as well. This place will not disappoint!

percent take care of you on your special day, she took care of me so well and it wasn’t even my wedding. Just a shower. The decor options are awesome and can really save you time and money. You wont regret having your big day there, or any day at that!

done in excellence. I highly recommend this venue to everyone!

d tried to always instill the vision we had. We would highly recommend her, the catering service and Aaron our D.J. I wouldn’t change a thing!

pleasure to work with. My husband and I planned our son’s rehearsal dinner from out-of-state but the evening went remarkably well due to the wonderful location, food, staff and experience Gather has to offer. Her assistant, Phillip, was accommodating to our schedules the day of the event and worked extra hard to assist me in making our guests feel welcome and well cared for. Truly, a wonderful experience! Give Gather your business, you won’t be sorry.

ll and the chandeliers all lit up. And two, Jennifer is the most helpful venue owner and runs her business like a well-oiled machine. From our first conversation, I felt confident that we were in great hands. She has many tips and tricks to make the planning process seamless, and the venue being fairly all-inclusive (tables, linens, in-house caterer) made it a cakewalk because we didn't have to hire a large number of vendors. I didn't spend a moment on my wedding weekend wondering if everything would go well at the venue - I just had the peace of mind that it would. We had many compliments from our guests on the beautiful venue and delicious food from CN Catering. Thanks Jennifer and Team for helping make our wedding reception such a memorable event!

rm. Our wedding day went so perfectly and it’s all thanks to the Gather staff! Not to mention the food (CN Catering) was delicious. My mouth is watering just talking about it! You will not regret any event held at Gather in Downtown McKinney!

tself is beautiful and you instantly will fall in love the second you walk through the doors! The food was delicious and all of our guest agreed it’s by far the best food they have ever had at a wedding. We opted to have Jennifer be our day of coordinator and we HIGHLY recommend doing that. Not only did Jennifer make sure our wedding was seamless but she made sure all vendors arrived, set up, and left right on time. Having our wedding at Gather was a dream come true.

ce. Jennifer was also my day of coordinator and I could not recommend that more. She made the day seamless and knows her stuff when it comes to set up, local vendors, and how to run an efficient program. All of our planning was done remotely, as we live out of state and they made it so easy.
