About this vendor
Gathering Acres Event Center is an event venue that hosts weddings and special occasions, located in Lafayette. This property is a family-run establishment, owned ad operated by Verlyn and Lisa Fast. Nestled on 11 acres of farmland, couples can avail of a plethora of gorgeous wedding pictures across the picturesque grounds complete with water feature and the glorious Indiana sky in the background. .
Verlyn and Lisa established their business in 2016, after hosting their daughter’s nuptials at their home. They were inspired to offer a beautiful place to other couples looking for their ideal location, and decided to open up their family estate. The facility boasts both indoor and outdoor event spaces, with a rustic yet elegant barn on the grounds. The barn is illuminated with contemporary wooden chandeliers that cast light across the polished concrete floor, while a raised stage is ideal for bands and entertainment. This building has been decorated with a clean and minimalistic decor style, allowing couples to transform the space to suit their vision. For couples who love being outdoors, they can choose to have a waterfront ceremony. Outdoor ceremonies will remain intimate affairs, thanks to the glorious trees that surround the property, enhanced with acres of magnificent countryside scenery. Sumptuous get-ready rooms are also available on-site for the wedding party.
Gathering Acres Event Center boasts over 8,000-square feet of space, and can accommodate up to 299 guests for a banquet-style reception. The facility offers a range of packages, depending on the needs and vision of the engaged couple. They will provide items such as chairs for the ceremony and reception, along with banquet tables. A supervisor will be present throughout the event, to ensure that everything is running smoothly and as planned. This team understands that each couple style is different, and they are happy to welcome outside vendors including caterers. Depending on the package chosen, couples can also avail of linens and decorations, and request setup and breakdown services. To ensure that newlyweds and their guests are comfortable all year, this facility is climate-controlled.

We just had our wedding here on March 28, and it was truly more incredible than we ever could've dreamed. Lisa & Verlyn took care of us- Lisa was such a great coordinator & Verlyn ...
did a great job with lighting + sound!! We would highly recommend this venue to anyone who is nervous about planning a wedding. I was completely freaked out with all the details & decisions we had to make, but Lisa handled everything + relieved my worries like a true professional and a rare gem in the wedding industry!!! Thank you so much x100000, we will update photos when we get them back from our photographer! 🤍🤍 We are forever grateful!
We got married here & it was the best decision we made! Lisa & Verlyn made our day a dream come true. We chose the package to use Lisa’s decor and let me tell you, she has it ALL! ...
My winter wonderland dream wedding was perfect. Lisa is an amazing coordinator and made it such a smooth, easy, and enjoyable process. We can’t recommend Gathering Acres enough!
We hosted our wedding at Gathering Acres, using the all-included package. Lisa was fantastic with the last-minute decor, seating chart, and menu changes, even after our "one-month"...
meeting. We brought in our DJ, who worked well with Verlyn and his sound and lighting system. The lights were great and something we didn't even discuss; they just did them. The bride and groom's room was clean. Due to the weather, we had to pivot to an indoor cocktail hour, and Lisa handled all those details. Our guests could enjoy the outside area when the rain cleared up. We thought some had left early, only to find them on the porch swing chairs. Lisa and Verlyn are efficient at changing from the ceremony to the reception, even with guests still in the room. We brought sentimental items for decorations, and they took great care in using them. Many of our guests said they enjoyed the wedding, and a lot of that had to do with the venue.
Gathering Acres Event Center is where absolutely everyone should host an event! The moment we met the owners, Lisa and Verlyn, we were sold. They are so kind, professional, and ver...
y open and trusting with every opinion and detail. I am so grateful we came across their venue and chose to have our wedding there. Lisa coordinated every detail from the venue, to the rehearsal, to the ceremony, cake cutting, etc. Lisa had everything planned out to a T. They constantly were checking in on us to make sure we had everything we needed during our day. We can’t thank them enough for all that they did to make our special day, our dream wedding. They are amazing to work with and amazing people. We feel as if we’ve gained close friends after the time we’ve spent together. Thank you again!
Not only is this a beautiful venue, but Lisa and Verlyn go WAY above and beyond to make your day the most perfect. Lisa has all of the decor you could ever imagine, and she stayed ...
up until 3 AM the night before my wedding so it was all set up perfectly when I walked in Saturday morning. At the end of the night, I didn't have to touch a thing to clean up. During the planning process, we had several meetings with Lisa to go over EXACTLY what we wanted, and it was perfectly executed on our big day. So many of our guests told us this was the best wedding venue they've been to. We can't recommend Gathering Acres enough.
Choosing a wedding venue for your only child is one of the most awesome but stressful events to go through as a parent. You want everything to go perfectly and stress free. You wan...
t the guests to be comfortable and enjoy themselves. You want a coordinator that handles every little detail. We are so thankful we had all that and MORE with Lisa and Gathering Acres. Easily the best decision we could have possibly made. They made our special day absolutely wonderful and we were so taken care of the entire time. I will always refer family and friends here…thank you for everything.
Well, Hello my neighbor Maria G?. No smell, no overbearing. Just my angry neighbor taking jabs after a recent approval from the county to add an additional 2000 sq ft to building ...
to better serve our guests and to provide some sound cushioning for you.
Take care neighbor...
Lisa is an overbearing person who reminds me of the old saying "this isn't Burger King......you get it my way! She's constantly meddling in what the bride & groom want vs what she...
thinks would be better. I was in the wedding party and could not believe the last minute BS she put the bride through!
Also, beware if you want an outdoor wedding! There are pigs, cows & chickens right across the street and you will probably have tractors and other farm equipment being used in the area.
I wish I could give them a 10-Star Rating! Gathering Acres is the ideal location for your wedding! The owners, Lisa and Verlyn, are the most organized and accommodating hosts. They...
treat their clients like family. They go above and beyond to think of every detail that most brides haven’t even considered! The facility is beautifully maintained. They provide table decor that is unmatched in quality. Brides are given the opportunity to meet with Lisa personally in order to communicate their vision. Their list of preferred vendors was spot on! We used their suggested bakery, caterer, and DJ services and we were not disappointed! Gathering Acres more than exceeded our expectations for our daughter’s wedding.
We couldn't have asked for a better venue for our wedding and reception. Lisa and Verlyn are wonderful people to work with and will help to make all of your wedding dreams come tru...
e. It was the most stress free and truly enjoyable time all due to the hard work of those at the Gathering Acres. With all of the skills and expertise that they provide, this was hands down the best decision we made for our wedding.
I could not recommend this venue enough!!! So much more than just a beautiful wedding venue… Lisa and Verlyn truly pour their heart and soul into this place. From start to finish, ...
they made the planning process so smooth and fun, and had every decoration and idea imaginable!! They were very quick to respond to any questions or concerns, and became like family to my own. My bridesmaids and I also got to stay in their bridal suite the night before and get ready there in the morning which was SO convenient and just perfect! There are just not enough amazing things to say about Gathering Acres and their incredible owners; we are beyond grateful for their tremendous help in making our big day so special!!
Lisa and Verlyn were wonderful! When we met with them they were still in the building process. We had to switch venues to theirs due to a delay and were very stressed. Lisa and Ver...
lyn did everything they could to make this transition smooth and stress free. Their reassurance and commitment to us meant so much. They kept their word and worked hard to make everything possible for our family. They made us feel as if we were family. We loved all the personal touches they added to their venue by making their own rustic light fixtures and using old barn doors and wood in their decor. Their venue is gorgeous! We found the style to be farmhouse glam and it can be dressed up or down to suit your needs. The space is open without posts blocking a view. We feel the little touches they have added to their venue like the colored lights, mason jars, dimmable lighting that you can control, and beautiful neutral decor makes it stand out.
We highly recommend them. This turned out to be a blessing in disguise and we truly feel this would have been our first choice had we met them when we were searching for a venue. We will use them again! My daughters wedding reception was perfect! Thank you so much Lisa and Verlyn!
