Gathering Acres Event Center is an event venue that hosts weddings and special occasions, located in Lafayette. This property is a family-run establishment, owned ad operated by Verlyn and Lisa Fast. Nestled on 11 acres of farmland, couples can avail of a plethora of gorgeous wedding pictures across the picturesque grounds complete with water feature and the glorious Indiana sky in the background. .
Verlyn and Lisa established their business in 2016, after hosting their daughter’s nuptials at their home. They were inspired to offer a beautiful place to other couples looking for their ideal location, and decided to open up their family estate. The facility boasts both indoor and outdoor event spaces, with a rustic yet elegant barn on the grounds. The barn is illuminated with contemporary wooden chandeliers that cast light across the polished concrete floor, while a raised stage is ideal for bands and entertainment. This building has been decorated with a clean and minimalistic decor style, allowing couples to transform the space to suit their vision. For couples who love being outdoors, they can choose to have a waterfront ceremony. Outdoor ceremonies will remain intimate affairs, thanks to the glorious trees that surround the property, enhanced with acres of magnificent countryside scenery. Sumptuous get-ready rooms are also available on-site for the wedding party.
Gathering Acres Event Center boasts over 8,000-square feet of space, and can accommodate up to 299 guests for a banquet-style reception. The facility offers a range of packages, depending on the needs and vision of the engaged couple. They will provide items such as chairs for the ceremony and reception, along with banquet tables. A supervisor will be present throughout the event, to ensure that everything is running smoothly and as planned. This team understands that each couple style is different, and they are happy to welcome outside vendors including caterers. Depending on the package chosen, couples can also avail of linens and decorations, and request setup and breakdown services. To ensure that newlyweds and their guests are comfortable all year, this facility is climate-controlled.

meeting. We brought in our DJ, who worked well with Verlyn and his sound and lighting system. The lights were great and something we didn't even discuss; they just did them. The bride and groom's room was clean. Due to the weather, we had to pivot to an indoor cocktail hour, and Lisa handled all those details. Our guests could enjoy the outside area when the rain cleared up. We thought some had left early, only to find them on the porch swing chairs. Lisa and Verlyn are efficient at changing from the ceremony to the reception, even with guests still in the room. We brought sentimental items for decorations, and they took great care in using them. Many of our guests said they enjoyed the wedding, and a lot of that had to do with the venue.

up until 3 AM the night before my wedding so it was all set up perfectly when I walked in Saturday morning. At the end of the night, I didn't have to touch a thing to clean up. During the planning process, we had several meetings with Lisa to go over EXACTLY what we wanted, and it was perfectly executed on our big day. So many of our guests told us this was the best wedding venue they've been to. We can't recommend Gathering Acres enough.

treat their clients like family. They go above and beyond to think of every detail that most brides haven’t even considered! The facility is beautifully maintained. They provide table decor that is unmatched in quality. Brides are given the opportunity to meet with Lisa personally in order to communicate their vision. Their list of preferred vendors was spot on! We used their suggested bakery, caterer, and DJ services and we were not disappointed! Gathering Acres more than exceeded our expectations for our daughter’s wedding.

lyn did everything they could to make this transition smooth and stress free. Their reassurance and commitment to us meant so much. They kept their word and worked hard to make everything possible for our family. They made us feel as if we were family. We loved all the personal touches they added to their venue by making their own rustic light fixtures and using old barn doors and wood in their decor. Their venue is gorgeous! We found the style to be farmhouse glam and it can be dressed up or down to suit your needs. The space is open without posts blocking a view. We feel the little touches they have added to their venue like the colored lights, mason jars, dimmable lighting that you can control, and beautiful neutral decor makes it stand out.
We highly recommend them. This turned out to be a blessing in disguise and we truly feel this would have been our first choice had we met them when we were searching for a venue. We will use them again! My daughters wedding reception was perfect! Thank you so much Lisa and Verlyn!
