Gavyn was an AMAZING wedding photographer!! We don’t even know where to start…from the first time we chatted with her we hit it off over our love for Berners and our connection to ...
the Milwaukee area. We loved the light and natural look of her photos and decided she was the right person for the job! Right away she provided us with a wedding guide in the mail with tips and advice for wedding planning and how to best schedule pictures for our big day. She also included some dog treats for our pups :) We had our engagement shoot with her downtown Milwaukee in the Third Ward and she found a way to make ordinary areas look amazing in photos! She even brought us coffee as we met her at 5:30am to get the perfect sunrise photos. The weeks leading up to the wedding, she was available to answer any last minute questions we had and even gave vendor recommendations–one of which was for our officiant (Judge Mosley) who we absolutely loved! Being new to the area, we trusted her expertise and she did not disappoint.
On our wedding day, Gavyn and her assistant did an incredible job. They arrived on time and got right to work capturing our detail shots and getting ready photos with our wedding parties. Her calm and professional demeanor throughout the entire day was much appreciated especially when we were running behind. She did not show any signs of stress which kept me, the bride, calm in the moments I needed it most. She had a great eye for photo locations near our venue and again made the most ordinary areas seem magical. She did an amazing job capturing every moment of our wedding including guests' reactions throughout the day which we thought was a nice touch, especially during the ceremony. Overall, we could not be happier with our decision to have Gavyn as our wedding photographer and we will cherish our pictures for the rest of our lives. Thank you so much Gavyn!
Gavyn is the best of the best. We hired Gavyn for both our engagement shoot and wedding day, and she was such a pleasure to work with at all times. Our wedding weekend had an unexp...
ected snowstorm blow through, changing our original outdoor green grass wedding into a winter wonderland. Despite the weather surprise, Gavyn came prepared, excited, and made us feel totally at ease - and wow, the photos did not disappoint. We LOVE them. The only thing I'm sad about is that it's over! We just hope we can hire Gavyn again sometime soon when we come up with another excuse for photos :) hire her, you won't regret it.

e moment and just enjoy our day. We did not need to think about anything because she was prepared and knew exactly what needed to be done. The photos she captured are better than our wildest dreams and emanate the joy and love of our day without looking or feeling posed. Our families were so complimentary of the way she carries herself as a professional, the seamless way she integrates herself into your wedding. From keeping me calm when we were behind schedule to wrangling our massive families for photos, she was perfect. We will be recommending Gavyn to our friends and families for years and years!
Almost one year later and I’m still in absolute awe at how perfectly Gavyn (& Dom) captured our wedding day. She showed up just as excited as I was and kept that excitement going A...
ll. Day. Long. The complementary engagement session was perfect for my now husband & I to learn (and adore) Gavyn’s photography style and kept us at ease knowing we’d be in good hands on our wedding day, which we were. Leading up to our big day she was easily reachable and quick to respond with suggestions for coordinating the perfect day of timeline; her help in planning ensured a flawless wedding day.
Gavyn & Dom work so well together and let this be my plug for if you’re considering one vs two photographers, do yourself a favor and get two (preferably Gavyn & Dom 😉); you won’t regret it when you’re looking at the significantly more memories captured by the two photographers compared to if you only had one. This amazing duo did not let a single detail go unphotographed.
Gavyn’s photography skills speak for themself - just look at her breathtaking work and you’ll quickly agree. Her turnaround time was much faster than expected. Gavyn’s sweet, genuine personality is one-of-a kind, her ability to make everyone feel comfortable behind the camera is like none other, and her knowledge of photography is why you should just stop looking for other photographers and book with GTP, you will not regret it! Highly recommend!!
Gavyn and her second shooter (fiancé Dom) are simply the best. Gavyn was so supportive and flexible as we all navigate the impacts of covid. We ended up having Gavyn and Dom shoot ...
our small family only wedding ceremony this year and will have them back for a large reception next year. Our families both loved them. They made family photos fun and did a great job entertaining the three year old which isn’t always an easy feat. Our photos were absolutely stunning and they did a great job capturing both us as well and special family moments. We would highly recommend Gavyn and can’t wait to work with her again next year!
Absolutely fabulous work and high quality.

ve never gotten professional photos taken before, so we were a bit nervous, but omg, Gavyn made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera and the pictures turned out so beautiful. She even sent us a sneak peak of a few pictures the day after our wedding!! Gavyn is so genuine and sweet, who wants nothing more than just to make your experience so special. It was such a hot and humid day and she even went above and beyond and made sure my family had plenty of water! It was def the best money we spent! I highly recommend Gavyn Taylor Photography! Thank you so so much!

ictures of the our group and my fiancé as we pulled in. I never expected the pictures to be so amazing from the shore but Gavyn caught all the details to my toast from the inside of the boat. The picture quality and her direction as she took us all over Chicago to amazing locations were fabulous. Ashley and I can not say enough about Gavyn. If you live in Chicago or anywhere give her a call!!

ommend her to anyone.
She and Dom made us laugh and captured our personalities perfectly. They were both incredibly easy to work with, putting us (and our camera shy families) at ease for posed photos and moving through our wedding ceremony and reception to find the best shots. Gavyn even embraced the quirkier aspects of our wedding, getting great photos of our guests taking a surprise shot of Malort.
The final photos from our wedding are better than we could have imagined. Couldn't recommend Gavyn more highly!
I don't think words can express how amazing Gavyn was as our wedding photographer! From our first interaction , she went above and beyond! She actually relieved much of my wedding ...
stress with her industry knowledge, organization, timely responses and over all, her talent and hard work! She made sure my husband and I felt comfortable in front of the camera and captured moments that my family and I will cherish forever. The quality and promptness of her work is incredible. I cannot recommend her enough. Seriously, Gavyn was an integral part of making my wedding amazing! We would have been lost without her. I hope many more couples chose this wonderful human to be a part of their big day.

g, she worked closely with our planner to determine the timeline and us to find out exactly what we wanted for our photos. The day of was perfect, she and Dom were so professional, organized, and efficient. She was able to get shots with our dog too, which was very important to us. We got a sneak peak of several photos just days after the wedding and our full album was available in about 3 weeks. ally so fun to pose in front of a camera! Gavyn let me bounce ideas off of her before our shoot and helped us decide everything from where we’ll be taking the photos, to what time is the best for lighting. She sent us an engagement photo brochure with what we could expect and ideas on what to wear. Best of all, she got our photos back to us in under 10 days and they totally exceeded our expectations! Her style of editing is so light and esthetically pleasing (aka perfect for the gram). We will absolutely be recommending Gavyn to all of our friends in Chicago!
I am and will always be amazed by Gavyn's talent! She always does such a wonderful job!

y loved her and her second shooter, Dom. They made it so easy on us and made us feel so comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera. e her a check. She's proactive and had a process put together for what to expect. It really took the stress out of planning the photography part of our wedding.
On our wedding day she had already scouted locations around our venue for outdoor shots and brought umbrellas for the rain, too. Her photos are awesome and she quickly got everything to us after the wedding along with a congratulations card. If you're looking for a great photographer who won't leave you hanging or stressed out, who listens to you and takes great indoor / outdoor portrait and candid photos, you can't go wrong with Gavyn. She is an amazing photographer!

ly 2 weeks before our wedding. I had followed Gavyn’s work for months and reached out, hoping she’d be available and she was. Not only was she EXTREMELY helpful in arranging our day given the winter time constraints, but our sneak peeks have been nothing short of incredible. We discovered through our wedding planning process that the demeanor and attitude of your photographers is vital to the success of your wedding day, hence why we parted ways with our original choice. Gavyn and Domenic made everything EASY and absolutely flawless. They took away every single fear and concern we had and made everything happen just the way it should. I cannot recommend or boast about them enough to express our gratefulness. They were one of the best parts of our day and there will never be enough thanks for that.

From start to finish, Gavyn always ensured to help out with the wedding process in any way, even if it was not photography related. She made my husband and me feel at ease and confident that our photos would turn out incredible. Not only that, their style of photos is exactly what we were looking for and they made sure to capture the feeling of love, excitement, and celebration in the photos. I’m so grateful to have found these two gems and have them be part of our wedding day. I highly recommend them and am looking forward to working with them more in the future!

I've gotten so many compliments on my wedding photos since sharing them with friends and family. It's amazing how Gavyn captured the excitement of the day - she got all of the standard wedding shots I wanted but she also captured so much more. My favorite photos are the ones where we're getting ready, dancing, laughing, and just enjoying the day. I'm going to have a never-ending supply of insta-ready shots for years to come.
