As someone who’s very organized, I wasn’t sure that I needed to hire a full-service wedding planner for my wedding in Valle de Guadalupe. I thought hiring someone for day-of or mon...
th-of planning would be good enough, but even after creating endless spreadsheets and conducting my own research for venues and vendors in the area, I came up short. Enter, Grecia!
Grecia went above and beyond to make my husband Derrick’s and my dream wedding come true. From our initial meeting—where I came fully prepared with a moldboard and presentation—Grecia knew just the right way to work with me to assuage any stresses or fears Derrick and I had. She listened to what I envisioned and offered suggestions that made it even better.
She’s also well-connected to existing vendors in the Valle (floral, photography, DJ, beauty, rentals, videography etc.), and as such, we found and hired the right team for our special day in no time. She ensured we stayed on budget by negotiating with our vendors and always being our advocate.
Communication could be tricky with vendors in VDG—I didn’t speak English and vendors didn’t always respond to follow-ups. But Grecia had the magic touch! It helped that she lived within driving distance to the Valle. And of course, she kept all our contracts and payment due dates in a tidy ledger & followed up with this to make sure we never missed a deadline.
Even though she wasn’t contractually obligated to help us with our welcome dinner, she did initial reach-outs to restaurants when we had difficulty contacting them.
On the day of, everything ran as smooth as it could have. The wedding venue looked STUNNING. I DIY-ed a bunch of different items (macrame, signs, favors, other decorations etc.), and I was so pleased with how Grecia put everything together. My husband and I felt incredibly supported by Grecia throughout the day and could not have asked for more.
If you’re looking for a wedding planner (especially if it’s in VDG!), look no further. I vouch for Grecia 1000%.
My husband (!!!!) and I recently got married in Valle de Guadalupe, Mexico and we had a pretty long engagement (about 18 months). I am born and raised in San Diego and my husband i...
s from Ecuador; Mexico had been a really special place for the both of us during our 5 years of dating pre-wedding. We knew we wanted to get married in spring, that our wedding would have about 120 guests, and first thought we could handle finding a venue in Mexico and some of the other details by ourselves... we were wrong! After many unanswered emails and phone calls from venues, we realized we needed help. A friend of mine introduced me to Grecia and when we met I instantly felt both excited and reassured that things were going to start looking up. Grecia reassured me and my partner that she was full of great ideas, diverse contacts, and had plenty of experience to make our day everything we were envisioning. Knowing that she was bilingual and could understand some of the cultural nuances that would be important to be sensitive to within our wedding planning was a huge plus!
I have to say that I probably was not the easiest client for Grecia. I am super detail oriented, love spending time in the details of things, and really read over a contract thoroughly. I ask hard questions and push back on things that don't feel right or suit me. Grecia didn't seem deterred by this and really wanted me / us to be happy. During the wedding planning process (about 12 months in total), we hit quite a few bumps with vendors (unexpected extra costs, unprofessionalism and disorganization). During these tricky moments, Grecia never let us see her sweat and she did her best to let us make the decisions about how to deal with some of these bumps. Sometimes afterwards she would tell us, "Oh I'm so glad you did X instead of Y" or "Thank goodness you went with vendor A instead of vendor B." While Grecia wasn't afraid to advocate for us when we needed her or asked her to, she also gave us the space to make our own decisions and trust our own gut when it came to some of these big wedding decisions.
In addition, there was not a single ask that we threw to Grecia that she said 'no' to - including many options we didn't follow up on or end up using. As an example, I have celiac disease and there was a lot of drama around finding a gluten free cake that wouldn't taste like cardboard. Grecia went and found a cake vendor that could do a gluten free cake and had good reviews. Ultimately, we didn't end up doing a cake at all and Grecia didn't seem bothered by having to search for a vendor with a special request or that we decided to go a more non-traditional route and have our wedding sans-cake.
As with any relationship (partner, therapist... wedding planner), y'all have to get to know each other. Be sure to ask the hard questions when you have your first meeting with Grecia - let her know what it is you're looking for (or if you have no idea, that's probably okay too). I think Grecia did an excellent job getting to know both me and my partner - our strengths and weaknesses, our likes and dislikes - and we certainly enjoyed getting to know Grecia also! Each of us brought strengths to the table during this wedding planning process and I think we ultimately made a really good team -- the final product was truly incredible. She helped make our vision come to life with kindness, patience, tenacity, and organization. I would absolutely recommend Grecia if you are planning your big day.
Grecia was a referral from my brother in law. We met up at Holden Coffee and knew it was an instant connection: she had a keen eye and listened to what we loved in our lives and bo...
nded that with our vision for our destination wedding in Tulum.
She was very structured and allowed for flexibility given our busy schedules (we both work above 60 hrs a week). She made sure to provide a plethora of options and then whittle them down based on our budget, needs and wants. Grecia never gave up until we found what we were looking for.
Being Grecia in is fluent in Spanish and has impeccable Contract Negotiation skills, we were able to get stunning accommodations for ourselves and our guests. She found a gem of a venue. Grecia was invaluable in creating our dream wedding from afar. Her professional demeanor and charm facilitated the destination wedding planning and execution. Her depth of resources also helped put us in contact with a stunning photographer named Tande. Grecia made sure to add genuine thoughtfulness and a bit of fun to our trip down to Tulum : best tacos, amazing drinks, beautiful cenotes and a sprinkle of Mexican Culture.
We will always be grateful for Grecia’s help in making this Dream Wedding
Grecia was an outstanding coordinator from day one. Incredibly thoughtful and knowledgeable, she helped guide us on timelines, managing our vendors, onsite setup and everything in ...

She is detail-oriented, radiates positivity and has an incredible calming affect on what could be a very stressful day! She went above and beyond to ensure that our wedding was everything we had hoped for and it would not have been possible without her support. We are so grateful to you Grecia!!

She really helped us execute our vision for the wedding! She communicates with all the vendors in a timely manner and emails back very quickly. She was open to all of my ideas and also gave her input which was great.
So many of our guests said this was the best wedding they have ever been too, and I was completely blown away at how perfect it was. Please work with Grecia if you want personalized and caring wedding planning!

e the wedding day my friends recommended Grecia at GB Weddings. When I called her to discuss where we were at, she was patient, understanding and realistic. She was clear on the services she felt I needed and as soon as I hired her, she hit the ground running. Our wedding was out of the country (Mexico) and Grecia immediately started working with my venue, she already had established relationships (rental company, makeup artists, etc.) to refer me to, and was able to advise on nuances I didn't know about (local permits needed, etc.). She went above and beyond and helped me coordinate the entire weekend, from getting quotes and communicating with transportation companies to get our guests down to Mexico the day before the wedding, to coordinating with a restaurant to provide brunch before their departure. She even helped my father facilitate a surprise video during out father/daughter dance and I had no idea! She was truly a 'full-service' support and we would not have had the absolutely perfect wedding weekend we had without her. I could not recommend her highly enough!

and genuine care for her clients is something I highly admire and respect. I recommend Grecia to all my clients because I know they will be absolutely taken care of and I will not have to worry about anything myself. s time and money well-spent. It is expected that she would have excellent rapport with her professional connections but even the wedding vendors who had newly met her, always mentioned how sweet and lovely an individual she is. I could not agree more. Unfortunately, my fiance and I had to postpone our wedding to 2021 and go with a different venue that came with a coordinator and so we had to cancel the other half of our services with her. Dhe was completely understanding and professional even after our connection ended. A story that really shows her excellence was when I had the incorrect email address for one vendor, so they were not aware I had postponed my wedding. They contacted her to follow-up about a bill. Even though we were no longer connected, she went out of her way to email them back and notify them and then CC me on the email. She could have been blameless for not replying to them as that responsibility was on me, but she is just amazing. Just wow! You will be so glad to hire her and you definitely won't regret it. Thank you for everything, Grecia!

me to get to know us as a couple and listened to what we wanted out of our big day. Grecia asked thoughtful questions that brought a personal touch to our planning process, and more importantly, she developed an organized timeline which got us on the right track from the very beginning.
Grecia has great taste, and she had a hand in almost every aspect of our wedding planning. She helped us pick wedding colors, suggested wedding party outfits, designed our table settings, found beautiful lighting designs, and recommended fun ways to bring a personal touch to really make our wedding day special for us and for our guests. We picked a beautiful garden venue but some of the most beautiful details were suggestions from Grecia.
Planning a wedding can be stressful, but Grecia often said “you don’t have to worry about that. That’s what you have me for”. She was a pleasure to work with and she knew when to step in to make sure that we were sticking to our timeline but also when to give us space when we needed a break from all the decision fatigue. On the day of our wedding, I didn’t receive a call from Grecia, a vendor, the venue, or any needy guests. Grecia handled every detail from A to Z and the event went off without a hitch (to my knowledge, anyway).
We will always be grateful to Grecia. She went above and beyond our wildest expectations, and each time we would thank her she would respond letting us know that she was happy to help because she wanted us to have the best wedding possible. I can’t recommend Grecia highly enough.
One of the best decisions we made was to hire GB Weddings to coordinate our wedding last October. Grecia was a complete professional during the whole process. My husband and I had ...
a vision of what we wanted and Grecia provide us with different options of venues and vendors that fit our budget. She also helped us find the must beautiful location to have our surprise wedding in Rosarito, Mexico. Having a wedding out of the country can be difficult for must most people, given the distance, language barriers, or knowing which vendors to trust. But Grecia made everything seamless. It gave us piece of mind knowing that she has experience putting together beautiful events in both San Diego and Mexico. Grecia is well- connected and extremely organized. She always kept us up to date with the progress of the wedding planning. The day of the wedding, Grecia made sure everything went as planned. Our guest were shocked when they found out that or engagement party was actually a surprise wedding! They couldn't believe that my husband and I pulled off such a beautiful wedding. Honestly, we have done it without GB Weddings. I will forever be grateful to her for making our wedding such a magical day. Thank you, GB Weddings!

d the pleasure of working with. I met her early in the planning process at a XV expo. Most of my boyfriend's family daughter's had had XV parties. I noticed how much hard work it entailed and realized as a busy professional, I did not have the time to do all the planning and be the contact person on that day. I decided to contract Grecia for the month of the party. The results were better that I ever imagined. I was able to fully enjoy the day with my daughter and our family and friends. Grecia took care of all the details and the results were perfect. You will not be disappointed with her services, I promise you. It was the absolute best money I've ever spent. We are over the moon with the memories and will be forever grateful to her.

g moments :) I hired Grecia in the very beginning of my planning and she helped with everything! She created a monthly timeline for me, she recommend vendors, and was constantly checking in with me. She responded right away to emails and texts. She helped me work within my flower budget and found an amazing vendor for me that exceeded my expectations of what I thought I could afford. She attended vendor meetings with me as well as our food tasting to make sure everything was good with our venue. She reached out to all of my vendors to create the perfect timeline for the wedding day. She understood my vision right away was constantly sending me examples of things I could include to really make the wedding pop! When it came to the day of the wedding everything was flawless. I didn't have to worry about anything because Grecia was taking care of it all. She stayed until the very end of the wedding the make sure everything was perfect. I would highly recommend Grecia for your wedding!
Hiring Grecia and GB Weddings for your big day will ensure your day is flawless and enjoyable!
We hired GB Weddings for Day Of Coordination services for our recent wedding and...
it was such a great decision! Grecia is the reason our big day was 100% stress-free and enjoyable.
Prior to our wedding day, Grecia was incredibly helpful and attentive and she created a timeline and communicated with all of our vendors. She was also very understanding of some special rules/regulations we had to abide by since our event was held on a military base.
On our wedding day, she set up all of our ceremony & reception décor just as we wanted, she calmly made sure we stayed on schedule the entire day, made sure we didn’t forget to eat, helped our guests when they had needs, and swiftly removed all the gifts and personal items from the venue at the conclusion of the event.
One of my favorite moments from after the ceremony was when my groom and I snuck behind the building to bustle my train away from guests and, out of nowhere, Grecia appeared with a plate of appetizers for us! It was so wonderful and exactly what we needed! She anticipated our needs before we even knew them… and that’s exactly how she was the entire day. Grecia was engaged in every aspect of our day and never hesitated to help in any way possible!
I absolutely recommend Grecia and GB Weddings to all bride and grooms – you owe it to yourself to enjoy your wedding day!
We recently just got married in San Diego in November and had Grecia as our wedding planner. Everything about our wedding weekend was better than we could've ever imagined. It was ...
truly a magical day for us and it couldn't have happened with out the professionalism and expertise of Grecia Binder.
Our wedding planning was a little more challenging as well because we live in DC and decided to have the wedding in San Diego where I am from. I was stressed about planning this from the opposite coast, but when we hired Grecia she took control and was able to reassure me everything will fall into place. She guided me to select vendors and advice on decor. She was extremely helpful from start to finish!
We highly recommend Grecia for her wedding services to all engaged couples!! She is the best!

allowed my wife to relax and enjoy our planning experience and we always felt we had a partner working with us the entire time. She even found the most amazing vendors that we wouldn't have found on our own that fit perfectly with our theme. I would highly recommend Grecia to anyone planning a wedding!

making sure that your vision becomes a reality on your special day. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!
I hired Grecia as a day of coordinator being I had almost everything ready for my wedding. Three weeks before, she took hold of the vendor list, the bridal party and lose ends here...
and there and made sure everything was on time and perfect. She made me relax and focus on my dress, hair make up and not worry about anything else.
She is very nice, calm and sociable. My family loved her.
I highly recommend her services
Me and my husband got married this August. It was one of the most wonderful, special and fun days of our lives and that is thanks in no small part to Grecia. We made the decision t...
o hire a day of coordinator since our venue was one to the public prior to our ceremony, leaving a very small window of time to set up decorations, centerpieces etc. When I was searching for a day of coordinator, I was very surprised to find that several "did not do decorations" which I did not understand at all. We eventually found two day of coordinators that we had free consultations with. While both were lovely, Grecia stood out to us as someone who is very professional and capable. She offers different packages including full coordination, month of and day of. We went with day of since I had already hired most of our vendors and mainly needed help with decoration set up, clean up and making sure things went smoothly the day of the wedding. For what we paid, I felt it well worth it. Grecia went above and beyond, helping us by calling vendors on our behalf and reminding us to make payments to our vendors. She also coordinated with everyone, even hair, makeup-up and a friend who was making homemade boquets in order to ensure everyone was on the same page and on schedule. All of our others vendors also commented on how on top of everything Grecia was. In fact, the contact person from our catering/rental company was a no-show on the day of the wedding however we didn't really even notice since everything went so smoothly. I would highly reccomend Grecia for any wedding or event, especially if it important for you to be able to relax and enjoy your wedding day.
Grecia went above and beyond for our special day!!!
With emails, phone calls, text messages, always keeping us informed on every single detail.
Our 20 year Anniversary was so me...
morable and special. If it wasn't for Grecias attention to detail, classy style and vision our wedding would not had looked fabulous!!!
If you need a wedding planner that is dedicated and passionate about her job, pick Grecia you will not regret it! Thank you Grecia!!!
Grecia made our day super special with all her attention to detail.
Let me start by saying that Grecia is extremely professional and is great at what she does! I met her at the annual wedding show early this year. I've talked to a few wedding pla...
nners before I decided to go with GB Weddings. And hiring her services was the greatest investment for our special day! Grecia assisted my husband and I with full-service wedding coordination and planning in San Diego.
She was extremely helpful in suggesting and selecting excellent vendors that matched what we wanted and were within our budget. I didn't have a single problem with any of our vendors during the planning process or the day of our Wedding. All vendors provided excellent services and products.
Grecia also provided superior communication via email, text and phone and were willing to work around my schedule and time zone difference. I am active duty Navy, and I was gone majority of the time, but having Grecia update me on specifics and the things that needed to be done, it made the planning process so much easier! She was able to communicate via Email, specially with vendor details and contracts. She made herself available for meetings when I was on a time crunch.
Even months prior to and as the day of our Wedding approached, Grecia became increasingly involved with communicating with vendors, creating event diagrams, and timeline schedules. The day of the event she was hands on at all times and ensured our Wedding was perfect! She was able to make little adjustments to our schedule as needed (when my husband and I took longer to take pictures after the ceremony) and everything went so smoothly!
Grecia is extremely professional and so pleasant to work with. She listened to our wants and vision and helped us communicate that to our vendors and venues. She made our priorities her priority and made us feel that our wedding was also as important to her as it was to us. This made us feel extra special!
On the day of our Wedding, I was stress-free! Grecia ensured that the vendors knew the times they were to set up, where to go, floor plans, decorations, food, entourage, order of events, you name it, and she knew exactly how they were supposed to be done!
I would HIGHLY recommend GB Weddings for any wedding, party etc, as she will make sure it's something you won't forget.
Thank you Grecia for making it the perfect day, Caleb and I couldn't have been happier and more excited to have you be a part of making our Ever After story possible!
You pulled all the loose ends together and we wouldn't have been able to do it without you. Many many thanks to you.
We could not be happier we decided to hire a planner for the "day of" piece. She helped with information, questions and guidance a few weeks out, ran our rehearsal (thank God as it...
was extremely helpful), and was integral in making our wedding day perfect. She ensured everything went smoothly and beautifully and made sure not to involve the bride and groom in any of it. I would recommend her to anyone - she is so sweet, so kind and so worth it!
