G.B.Y Photography

My rating is really just OK rather than "pretty good", but that's not an option. Here's why. Pros- I did a lot of research and liked Gabby’s photography style and price. We set up an in-person meeting early on to meet with me and get a feel for what we were looking for. She had a reasonably priced package deal for the engagement and wedding photography. We like the way the majority of the photos turned out, but……. Cons- She was sometimes difficult to get ahold of. She postponed our engagement shoot after I had sent her three messages trying to confirm the date the week before it was scheduled. She didn’t give much direction during either session, and laughed when we didn’t know what to do. About two weeks before the wedding I had asked her about either getting a shot list from her or providing one of my own just to make sure she captured the major moments we wanted photographed. She said she’d provide one, but that never happened, and now we don’t have some major moments documented, which is a huge disappointment….but we have little details documented (like photos of church pews?!), which we said we didn’t care to have. There were no photos of the guys getting ready, no close ups of the groom as I walked down the aisle, no photos of the groom’s whole family, no photos of each bridal party couple entering the reception, etc.!! It’s a good thing my mom spoke up and took charge during the photos, because Gabby didn’t.
