Good communication and fair pricing! They have great energy and were great to work with. I really enjoyed their process in getting to know us, as a couple, so that our guests would be entertained well.

Made the day amazing! They were super easy to work and it was very stress free. And even put in a couple special touches that were amazing. Several guests have told me how much they enjoyed the music and the atmosphere!

Gearbox was absolutely perfect with our wedding! They were so easy to work with, and Ryan was amazing with communication leading up to our wedding day in July. They followed our wants and wishes to a “T”, and the music was so great! I so recommend them because they will absolutely be one of the best parts of your wedding!

Ryan and the Gearbox team were a pleasure to work with for my big day hosted at the Grand Magnolia Ballroom on May 22, 2021. We planned it pretty quick and even though we were limited on time and made some last minute decisions they were efficient and handled everything beautifully and myself and my guests had an amazing experience. The uplighting we ordered through Gearbox added that special touch that you don't realize you will miss until you see the light painting every corner of your event space. Definitely spend the little extra for those little added details. It is worth it. Thanks again to all the team at Gearbox for providing much more than entertainment for Corey and I's special day!

Gearbox was amazing! They made it super easy to provide the playlist. They knew exactly what type of music to play for our wedding guest. The lighting was perfection from the cake to the dance floor. They even customized a walk monogram for the newlyweds. On top of that, the crew was amazing and friendly. We will use them again for our next event. Highly recommend!!!

Gearbox was fantastic and so easy to work with! They worked with us through a few changes of vision and everything turned out perfectly. We had guests tell us they’ve never seen the venue look as good as it did at our reception. The DJ was great and read the room very well. He played requests in a timely manner and hardly anyone left the dance floor all night - and that’s what we wanted! Great job by these guys.

We had SO much fun! My guests never left the dance floor and we partied down to the last minute! There were no hiccups or any issues with any of the music, at least none that I noticed, and they went with the flow of our wedding and adapted to what we wanted. 10/10 would recommend!

Absolutely professional and amazing! Ryan was super nice and easy to communicate with through the whole process. I had to reschedule my wedding due to Covid however he worked with me without any complaints. I requested them to play Vietnamese music at my reception and they did it without any hesitation even though they had very little knowledge of it. The dj and crew was super nice and professional. They all worked really hard. The lighting was perfect at my venue during the reception. Best customer service ever! I would recommend them over and over again!

Ryan and Jay handled our ceremony and reception flawlessly, from the singers' mics to the gobo and up lighting. They had everything set up in a timely manner before the ceremony began and they kept the party rolling during the reception. I have zero regrets booking them to handle our day!

I had a great experience with Gearbox! They did great work with the up lighting and projecting our personalized logo on the wall at our wedding. I talked with Ryan months before the wedding, and he was so nice, helpful, and honest about what I did and didn’t need in my venue as far as lighting went. He never tried to push me to get a certain thing but was very informative about everything he offered. He also had the best prices that I came across! I’ll without a doubt always recommend Gearbox!

Ryan and his team are incredible! I had to change my wedding date a few times and they were always so quick to respond and work with me on a new date. He made my reception look incredible with his lighting capabilities. I would recommend them to everyone! Lighting makes such a huge difference in a space. I cannot say enough about this company! Not only were they so easy to communicate with (Ryan is the sweetest and really listens to detail), but they wanted our wedding to be just as perfect as we did! During covid times, we had a lot of worries, and they assured us they had our backs no matter what happened. The lighting was amazing. I highly recommend getting the up-lighting and the monogram on the wall. It made us really not have to do much else decoration wise! The DJ (Hyphe) was awesome as well. He did everything we asked and went with the flow when things didn't go to plan. The music was the PERFECT mix of old and new and lots of dance hits! They got there early to set up and was a very easy process. Overall I would recommend anyone to use this company for whatever function they were looking to do.

We have used Gearbox Entertainment for 2 of my children's weddings and both times, they exceeded my expectations. The first was just the lighting and they did an amazing job. My daughter's wedding was just a couple of weeks ago and we did the lighting as well as the D.J. As always, they did a great job. Ryan is very reasonable and extremely easy to work with. Super easy to work with, good pricing, my lighting was breathtakingly beautiful! Only reason for 4 stars was the music played was definitely a different vibe than the music we selected from our spotify playlist as a guide, and the shoe game was forgotten that we wanted to play for the reception. BUT overall I am pleased and had a great time at my wedding!

I feel SO compelled to write this review because Gearbox Entertainment absolutely made our wedding so perfect. I didn't use The Knot for any other vendors besides Gearbox Entertainment, so I hope that other brides looking on The Knot and needing a DJ will turn to Gearbox. I have to start by saying that Ryan Meyers of Gearbox is patient, agreeable, friendly, and so easy to work with. We had issues with my wedding where we switched venues three months before the wedding, even though we had the other venue planned for almost nine months. Ryan worked with me from the very beginning with the old venue and was so flexible and understanding about our need to switch to the new venue. He routinely met with us at the old venue to help us with lighting, and when we switched venues so soon before the wedding, he met with us there as well to help us change our prior decisions to fit the new place. We used Gearbox Entertainment for both lights and the DJ services. The lighting looked exceptional and so professional. The lighting was absolutely necessary for the food, cake, and outdoor areas, and I'm so grateful we used lighting services with Gearbox. For DJ services, Daniel from Gearbox DJ'ed for us. He was incredible! My husband and I never wanted a band for our wedding because we have such a wide range in our taste of music - alt. rock, indie, grunge, dance, etc. My husband and I knew we would need a DJ who could play a range of our song choices while also filling the extra time with other music that would still fit our taste. My husband and I met telephonically with Ryan and Daniel and told Daniel our tastes in music, and Daniel completely delivered at the reception. My husband and I were delighted at the music and when some of our favorite songs came on without us requesting them or mentioning them in advance. Daniel was great with timing, and he honored our guests' musical requests as well. Our reception was so fun because of the music, and I've had multiple guests tell me that the music was their favorite that they've ever heard at a wedding. Ryan knew we had a budget, and he completely worked with us to stay within our budget while helping us make sure that we were getting the most optimized services that we could get with our budget. His pricing was honest and affordable for us, and it was 100% worth everything we spent. Communication with him was quick and easy, and he was so responsive. I would recommend Gearbox Entertainment 10/10 times, and I am so glad that I found these guys on The Knot.

We had a great time with the entire Gearbox crew from the time we booked them, to rescheduling our wedding due to Covid and finally getting a date picked and married! Ryan and everyone we dealt with was super responsive and very professional the entire process! They were a breeze to work with and had plenty of different options as far as packages and different choices that they offered. We used them for both DJ services (Jay was great!) and lighting. They did both our ceremony and reception and it was all PERFECT! The cake lighting was a great addition to our package and really made a difference in how our cake looked! We also did the Gobo design that was spotlighted on a wall during our entire reception and really filled the room and you get it as a souvenir to take home after! Jay kept the party going during our reception and worked so well with us all night and kept us on track with our detailed timeline! Jay and Ryan three way called me the week of the wedding just to reconfirm and go over all the details before our wedding and it really helped ease any worries we may have had. The day was perfect as well as everything leading up to it! I would 10/10 recommend Gearbox Entertainment for any of your wedding or event needs!
