on in every sense. All the stress that comes with wedding planning was gone as soon as we arrived that Thursday. We booked the inn for the whole weekend, for us, our wedding party and close family. Staying at the inn was amazing, we got to be right next to the venue and stay with those closest to us. And there was no one else there, just our people. That was something our wedding party said differentiated our wedding from other weddings, in the best way. We chose to host our Rehearsal Dinner/Welcome Party at Gedney in the courtyard, it was magical. The food at the rehearsal dinner was incredible. We had an open bar set up, the bartenders were all amazing and so helpful. We woke up on our wedding day and our wedding party and family helped us move all of the stuff we had bought for the event into the venue, but we really just put it in a pile at the venue and the staff set EVERYTHING UP! I did not have to worry about a thing. Escort cards were arranged perfectly, our guest book was arranged, our party favors, our bar signage, welcome sign, table numbers, everything. I didn’t have to worry about a thing. All my husband and I had to worry about was getting ourselves ready for our big day! The ceremony was breathtaking. Once again, everything set up perfectly. It is a little bit of a walk to the Knoll, where our ceremony was hosted. But they had golf carts for our wedding party and the elderly. They do not serve alcohol prior to cocktail hour, but our guests were greeted when tray service or cucumber and lemon water. The ceremony went off without a hitch, and there was a golf carts ready to take us back down to cocktail hour. We were greeted at our cocktail hour by Tammy, one of the lovely staff members, with our signature drinks. And we got to watch all our guests come down from the Knoll and join us. The hors d’oeuvres. The best hors d’oeuvres I have ever had at a wedding, and I’m not being biased. We got countless compliments on the food constantly throughout the night. We had a harpist playing during our cocktail hour and it was just magical. The staff gathered our guests inside, all 150 of them, seamlessly. The tables set perfectly. As the night went on, there was NEVER a line longer than 2 people at the bar. The bartenders were efficient, and no one had to spend more than a few minutes waiting for their next drink. We had a Photo Booth set up in one of the side rooms, it was a huge hit! Our guests loved it. And we got hundreds of extra pictures that you don’t normally get of your guests at a wedding. We never needed a thing, I never had to go looking for the coordinator or needed help. Everything was done. And it was the most perfect day into the most perfect night. Almost everyone stayed until the end at midnight. And when the wedding was over, we were able to walk 20 feet over to the inn and close the night out with our favorite people who were staying there. We played games and listened to music by the fire place, and the night didn’t have to end until we were ready. We have had so many people tell us it was the best wedding they have ever been to, and that has everything to do with Gedney Farm and their incredible staff. I could not recommend this venue enough.
