Dani, the amazing photographer-artist behind Gemini Sun Creative, is EVERYTHING you want and need in a wedding photographer. Starting from when we first sent her an inquiry, her way of communicating to us is very personal. Of all the photographers we contacted, she’s the only one who followed us on instagram and introduced herself. This simple gesture made us feel special—it makes you aware that there’s a real person behind this IG handle who genuinely wants to connect, get to know you and offer help. I moved to New York City (from the Philippines) two weeks before our wedding. A day after I arrived, my husband and I had the pleasure of meeting Dani and her husband at a Cuban dancing bar. We shared stories and belly-laughs. She’s easy to get along with, her vibe makes you feel safe and comfortable to be yourself. When we told her we want our photoshoot in Brooklyn Bridge Park because we saw it in the movie Past Lives, she eagerly watched it for us, “so I can nail it”, she said. The day of our wedding came and there was a heavy downpour in New York City (this was a day before the flood). Dani was so sweet to get us umbrellas prior meeting up. The rain, which one might think of as an inconvenience on a wedding day, actually turned out to be a blessing. Because of it, there were only few people in the park; it also left some puddles you can see light reflections from, which Dani keenly noticed and took advantage of. She has the eye for great photo composition that makes the subject really stand out. At the start of the photoshoot, she gave us a few pointers and shared tips. And because she took the time to get to know us and our love story, she reminded us about how special that day really is—how we braved LDR together for more than 2 years; that now we’re finally living in the same city, married, and starting a new life together. That sweet reminder made us feel grounded, it helped ease us up to just savor the moment. We were still riding our wedding high when we received her email with our entire gallery attached. We weren’t expecting our photos to be available so fast! In only 90 mins of shooting, we got 200+ professionally edited and graded photos we can treasure for a lifetime. They turned out exactly how we dreamed of—beautifully captured, dreamy, indie film vibe. She really nailed it! Whenever I look back on our wedding day, I remember feeling grounded, calm and in love. Then I would look at the pictures and see those same feelings. The movie Past Lives introduced to us the concept of “in-yun”—it’s a Korean word for fate that connects people. My husband and I strongly believe that meeting Dani and having her do our elopement photoshoot is in-yun. I know words fall short when expressing your thoughts and feelings. Believe me when I say, if Dani is your wedding photographer, you can focus all your energy on just enjoying your special day, as you should. She will make sure you have all of your fond memories immortalized on photographs.

Dani is the best photographer we could ever ask for. We're ecstatic about the photos she took of our wedding. Every single photo she took was beautiful. But more than that, she helped us immensley throughout the planning process, specifically with organizing our day in a way that made sense. As someone who had a DIY wedding with no coordinator, Dani's help is what made our day possible.

We were especially impressed both with Dani’s mindful aesthetics (down to the smallest of details) but also her ability to manage and organize our needs/schedule day of. After drowning in Zola quotes and estimates, I found Dani online and was immediately drawn to her typeface, website, and company name. She seemed down to earth and photographed all different types of bodies and couples, which was very important to us both. She was quick to jump on a zoom call and we booked her within 20 minutes of talking (and laughing). Dani photographed our wedding (and engagement shoot) in September 2022. While she usually does small elopements, she was so kind as to take on out 125+ person wedding – showing up in Vermont for our three day affair (shooting the welcome event, wedding, and Sunday brunch). This girl even jumped on a canoe with my mom to capture our fun Sunday event rafting down the Connecticut River. Dani is extremely professional, organized, and communicative across all platforms (via text, email, and on IG). She had our first round of images from our wedding – I think within 48 hours?!? Dani is dedicated to her craft and just overall an extremely lovely person and was extremely patient with us as I tried to coordinate a wedding from the New Mexican desert while writing a thesis. I feel strongly that she captured everything so beautifully – from the décor, to the venue, to capturing my husband and I in all the emotions – happy tears, calmness, goofyness, sexiness, romanticness – and even obliged my insane request of pulling over and getting some shots in a Victorian Graveyard. Dani is happy to capture whatever you choose to define as romantic, even mossy tombstones in the middle of the woods. Our engagement shots in the city are equally as lovely, despite being a totally different environment. I never once felt self-conscious or aware of myself and just love the love that shines through in each photo. Not only were we so thrilled to have these wonderful photos and memories for the rest of our lives, we are so lucky to also have made a new friend. I received endless compliments on just how lovely the photos were (long exposure images of the milky way with shooting stars – how is that even possible??) and I’m so happy we found Dani and would recommend her to any couple who is looking for photos that are soft, capture the golden hour, and your love. She somehow manages to be timeless without giving you a cookie cutter album of wedding shots. 1000/10 recommend – book Dani to talk about dogs, tattoos, concerts while getting effortlessly beautiful memories of you and your loved ones.

I first hired Dani to do a surprise proposal/engagement session with my husband. She was super warm and helpful right from the start, helping me plan out the surprise. Our engagement photos are gorgeous! It was an easy decision to hire her for our wedding photos, 21 months later. We were not disappointed: our wedding photos are more beautiful than I could have imagined. Dani is so easy to work with! Her communication is prompt and clear. She has an unobtrusive style in person: she gives direction when needed, but is great at just capturing the moments as they happen. She never asked us to do corny poses or staged pics. You can see how comfortable we are with her, because we look relaxed and happy in our pics. I barely noticed her taking pictures during the ceremony, but the pictures are amazing! I would recommend Dani wholeheartedly!

Dani is AMAZING!! Personally and professionally. My husband and I wanted our wedding to be simple, intimate and stress-free. Throughout the whole process, Dani truly cared about understanding our vision and was so thoughtful in bringing it to life. We couldn’t have asked for a better photographer and hype woman on our day. a minute ago NEW I cannot recommend Dani enough! We truly enjoyed our session with her. Started off in Hoboken and made our way to Brooklyn to capture some beautiful memories. She made us feel comfortable every step of the way. Recommended poses and shots that gave the extra touch to each one of our pictures. She even took great shots of our pup.

Dani has truly been such a DREAM to work with. When finding our engagement/wedding photographer we knew we wanted someone who was queer-inclusive, artistic and had great energy. Dani embodies all of these traits and so much more. Not only has Dani been an amazing photographer, but she has become such a great friend and is always so willing to jump on FaceTime to talk about your vision (this has been frequent while we have planned and are still planning our day). She takes a special interest and always makes you feel seen and heard whether you’re talking face-to-face but also when you’re viewing your photos. Her ability to guide her clients and lead with professionalism, positivity, and talent is unmatched, not to mention you will LOVE your photos.

The day I met Daniela, I knew she would capture our special day perfectly. Daniela was constantly in contact with us from the moment we signed a contract with her. Before we even attended our engagement photo shoot, Daniela made sure we were prepared for what to expect and sent out questionnaires to get to know us. Our engagement shoot was in the middle of winter at lake Minnewaska and those moments were captured perfectly. She was very personable and made us feel relaxed and comfortable (she even allowed our pup to be in our shoot). As the wedding started to approach, she made sure we had all of our vendors and plans were all set. Daniela was always asking how we were feeling as our big day was coming. We were not nervous at all and beyond ready for her to capture this moment. We had our last zoom call the week of the wedding and planned out our timeline and picture list. Daniela showed up with her assistant on the day of the wedding and of course, it was pouring rain (as everyone says, rain is good luck). She was flexible with the weather and made sure I was okay with any changes. We were able to get our portraits done outside because the rain had slowed down, then took family portraits inside. Daniela and her assistant followed the picture list we had created perfectly and even dealt with my crazy family lol. We truly couldn't have asked for a better experience. Even though the weather did not cooperate, the pictures couldn't have come out any better. Daniela captured all of the feelings from our special day. We are beyond thankful for her and her team. My (now) husband and I had a huge wedding planned in September, and as the date was getting closer, we were very stressed and overwhelmed. We were torn because we have big families and wanted them all there, but I started to realize I felt like this huge wedding was taking away from this feeling special to me. So about two months before the big day, we decided we wanted to elope first, just the two of us, at our favorite nature spot. Not only was Dani able to accommodate us on short notice, she also helped us to find an officiant, and was helpful with other ideas and recommendations -- which was a HUGE help to me amongst the chaos. Dani is just absolutely wonderful and I am so grateful for her. She was calm and patient throughout the whole process. She is such a pleasure to be around and she shared in our excitement with planning and on the day of our elopement. She was so helpful the entire day. She went on a pretty far walk with us to our special spot, taking photos along the way, and she helped to make us feel comfortable as she coached us through poses. The photos she captured us were absolutely STUNNING. I really love how the mood of her photos and how she captures the light of the sun so beautifully. She was also patient and loving with my dog who was there with us and got some great shots of him too. :) I am so incredibly happy with this experience. If I ever need a photographer for anything else in my life, I am 100% going with Dani. Thank you!!!

Dani worked with me and scheduled as many meetings as I needed to make sure my day would captured beautifully. She asked questions and got to know how we wanted our day to feel in our photographs! Throughout the planning process we had many vendors downplay our wedding plans due to our guest count being below 100. But Dani was constantly supportive & encouraging us to do what we wanted to do! Finding a photographer was the part of wedding planning that we dreaded the most. We absolutely hit the jackpot when we found Dani and it’s hard to imagine that we could have found a better person for us and our wedding. Working with Dani was seamless from the first virtual meeting to getting our edited gallery. We had a non-traditional, courthouse wedding where Dani acted as our photographer and witness. She totally got the aesthetic and vibe we were aiming for and our photos reflect that and us as a couple.

Dani photographed my tiny, 3 guest, backyard, pandemic wedding in August 2021. Despite a tiny wedding, it was important to us to have physical memories in the form of professional photos. After two other photographers fell through, stars aligned & Dani flew from New York to Wisconsin 2 weeks later. (She made it even though her flights were delayed and she ended up having to drive hours overnight to get to us!) I’m SO glad that we had a photographer, and that it was Dani! Taking photos allowed for us to have time together to let the love sink in. Dani was easy and fun to be around, and joined our gathering seamlessly. She provided gentle guidance and prompting without insisting on stiff poses, but still suggested slight adjustments and kept an eye out for uneven clothing and hair in your face. The photos are absolutely stunning, and she sent us an unexpected sneak peek of photos (87!) the day after our wedding. Those sneak peak photos alone were more than worth it!!! She was also affirming & supportive of our LGBTQ+ wedding & family, and thoughtful and skilled in photographing bodies of varying shapes & sizes.

My fiancé and I loved working with Dani during our engagement shoot! She was fun, personable, and so sweet. She even brought my pup a birthday cookie treat, which was so nice! The entire experience felt natural and fun, which I appreciated since I was so nervous. Would have definitely had Dani as our wedding photographer, unfortunately she was unavailable. But I highly suggest her!

Dani is nothing short of amazing! She is more than just a photographer, rather she gets to know you/your family as a whole - this comes out in her magical photos.
