n with COVID. Gemma was able to get me in right away to alter my dress. She knew exactly what I needed to make the dress fit perfectly and even knew what I wanted when I couldn't figure out a way to articulate what I wanted :) She was able to do some custom alterations by adding a slit to my dress and adding straps. She also made me the perfect custom veil to go with my dress that was simple, beautiful, and elegant. It complemented my dress very well without taking away from it. We had to push back our wedding by a year and she was able to keep the dress safe until I was ready to pick it up. When I got the dress and tried it on for that last fitting, it was perfect! It was everything I had hoped it would be. For our wedding, I couldn't get over how wonderful the dress felt and looked. It was beautiful! without her! Before I came to Gemma, my dress was incorrectly altered and I was honestly ready to start over and look for a new dress. I didn't take into consideration what type of bra/support I'd be able to wear and before Gemma fixed my dress, I wasn't able to wear anything without it showing and ruining the look of the dress. Thank the heavens that I stumbled upon Gemma. She told me to take a deep breath, relax and let her do the rest! She took my stress level from a 12/10 to absolutely nothing! She knew what size my bust was just by looking at my shape and had a bustier that I was able to purchase from her shop. This took the stress out of running around to different lingerie shops to try and find one that would work. She created beautiful lace appliques that perfectly matched my existing lace and I actually fell more in love with the dress after she put them on. She is so talented and the SWEETEST person ever. She made me feel beautiful on my wedding day and I am so thankful that I found her. You are in wonderful hands with Gemma. Do not skimp on alterations and trust just anyone. It is worth the money... Do not make the same mistake I did. She will exceed your expectations, I promise!

When I chose not to get my dress cleaned at her establishment, she got upset and told me she hopes the place I take my dress to doesn't destroy my dress while cleaning it. That is a horrible thing to say to a bride that is stressed and nervous days before her wedding. As I mentioned before, she is talented, but it comes with a price (literally and figuratively).

Gemma and her team clean your dress between each fitting. So my dress was cleaned essentially 4/5 times before wedding day. They were so kind, professional, and did amazing work. My dress fit like a glove. It looked like it was made for me. Gemma even steamed some of my out of town bridal party dresses after their long flights. I can't wait to have her preserve my dress.

Everyone at Gemma’s is so pleasant to do business with and Gemma listens to every detail that you are looking for in your dress. I had brought my dress to Gemma’s 6 months prior to my wedding and didn’t know what to expect. During the alteration process I had lost a lot of weight and was worried that my dress was going to lose some detail but Gemma’s actually didn’t lose any detail, they molded my dress beyond my imagination. I couldn’t be more happy with the outcome of my dress and the welcoming service I always received at Gemma’s! I would highly recommend!

finished, the dress looked nothing like the dress I had originally tried on. It didn't flatter my body type and I just hated it. I told them my concerns and they told me the dress fit me like a glove and there was nothing they could do. I was about ready to just accept my dreadful dress when I did a google search and found Gemma. I called, exactly 15 days before my wedding, and I was told to come in that day. Gemma took one look at the dress and knew what was wrong. I didn't even have to tell her what I didn't like. All I can say is that Gemma truly saved my dress, and in the 15 days before my wedding. Now I don't have to spend a lifetime cringing at my wedding photos. THANK YOU GEMMA!

She met my timing needs and was responsive to my desires through the entire process. On top of all that, she is even caring and sweet! I’m so grateful for her!

was expensive but that she was the best. Our first visit was about 2.5 hours. It was a difficult dress to "remake". I wish she would have told us that at the beginning . Two visits later it was clear that the dress would NOT work. It looked like it had been "added to' and looked choppy and cheap. My daughter was in tears and we had to find a new dress and start over. The kicker is that I was charged $1,150 at the first visit and then an additional $250 at the second visit. I had to buy two veils to cut the edging off to use to cover the seams where it was "built up "in the back. Gemma did refund me $180 of the $1400. So basically I paid $1200 dollars just in alterations for a dress that will never be worn. Take my advice, shop around for someone who charges a fair price for the hours and work to be done. I expected a refund for the pressing, bustle, hemming which was never done. She found a way to justify only a small amount of money to refund.

oming off and lace coming up and I was really discouraged that it would be perfect for my wedding until I met Gemma. She talked me through absolutely everything, she fixed everything on the dress that the bridal boutique should have fixed, and she 100% understood my vision for how I wanted my dress to fit. She showed me exactly what my alterations would look like before doing anything to the dress and showed me multiple options for how to achieve what I was wanting to make sure that it was perfect. She was fair in price and she let me come in for as many fittings as I wanted to make me feel comfortable and confident. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for alterations.
