Gene captured our wedding in a way that highlighted the magic of the place, the people, and the event. He caught moments that I did not realize had taken place, captured every pers...
on candidly, and every moment with a genuine truth. His eye is pristine and his approach captured the magic of the day in a way I could not have imagined. Hire Gene if you want a calm soul helping you get through your big day with ease and grace. Seriously, hire Gene.
Gene was an absolute joy to work with! My husband and I were not super comfortable in front of a camera, but Gene was great at breaking the ice and making us feel natural. He is al...
so great at making sure you enjoy yourself on your big day and don't over think things. He is a wonderful human being!! I can't wait to work with him again, very much worth his price!
I racked up countless hours poring through pictures to find the perfect photographer for our wedding. When I came across Gene's work, I knew I could stop searching.
Gene has a way...
of making an awkward couple feel more at ease. I am known for making a slew of odd faces in pictures, and I often feel self-conscious about it. Seeing our engagement photos gave me such a boost of confidence, and wiped away my fears about my face. He manages to capture just the right moments, and pull the best shots out of you, while still remaining true to who you are. I've always hated the way my smile looked, but after seeing our photos, for the first time I like my smile.
On the day of the wedding, I was a bit frazzled trying to do my part to help set up at the venue, but Gene was such a calming presence to have around. This is such an amazing asset to have in a photographer on your wedding day! At one point during our getting-ready time, things got very hectic and my phone started blowing up with texts. I was so close to breaking down, but Gene went above and beyond, handling my family member and even coming to show me the sweet text my Fiancé had just sent to calm me.
He was on point every step of the way, never missing a moment. He does a fantastic job of getting the shots by being non-intrusive and without ever alerting you to his presence. A big reason why I was so drawn to his work was because he has a way of capturing genuine moments. Even when you feel like you just holding still, somehow he finds the most important aspects of that to shoot.
Being a DIY couple, we put an enormous amount of work into creating all of the decor for our wedding, and as such we were beyond delighted to see so many wonderful shots of what we created and how it came together.
Thank you so much Gene for being a part of our day. It is so meaningful to us to have these beautiful images to remember the most magical day. We truly appreciate being able to be subjects of your art. It's only been a few hours, but we've already received numerous comments from friends and family on how wonderful the photos are!
Best,
Andrea & Conner

o much I can't even explain. Gene also is the most kind and chill guy. Book with him, you'll adore him.
I found Geneoh Photography just by searching wedding photographers on Google images in Minneapolis. The photo that caught my eye was exactly what my new husband and I were looking ...
for on our day, beautifully simple yet creative photography! My husband and I hired Geneoh Photography for our small intimate wedding in October. Since our day wasn't your typical wedding, we didn't need the average amount of hours of coverage for the day; Gene was very flexible and willing to work with us to meet our needs and what we wanted captured. We met him on our wedding day and he was such a nice guy, he had a hands off approach to capture candid shots but still guided us in making sure to take beautiful and creative photos. Gene is truly a great photographer and creates the most beautiful art with his photography, the amount of emotion he is able to capture in his photos is amazing! We highly recommend Geneoh Photography!
I am sooooo so happy that we hired Geneoh to do our wedding photography. He is the kindest man who makes you feel comfortable immediately. So much so that my sister asked how long ...
we'd known each other...but we met in person for the first time on my wedding day! He captured images that I will cherish for the rest of my life, and that I didn't even know he was taking, from my groom being silly to my dad and I right before the ceremony to incredible shots of the dance floor. He just has such a special eye for detail and editing. Thank you, Gene!!
There are no words to describe how happy we are that we hired Gene for our wedding! Not only is he a phenomenal photographer but he's also an amazing person. From our first meeting...
with Gene we knew he was the right photographer for us, we were comfortable with him and trusted his expertise. We were BLOWN AWAY by the photos he got from our wedding. He captured all of the right moments, both big and small. We would highly recommend him!!!
Gene was the first vendor I contacted after we had our date set- I had been following his work on Instagram for months and loved his fine art photography style- the way he works wi...
th light is masterful. My husband also loved how gene captured moments of feeling - both in candid moments of joy and in more formal portrait photography. You can feel the happiness and emotions radiate from every picture -- this is not the stiff or over-posed wedding photography that you often see on wedding blogs and elsewhere. We are obsessed with our wedding photos and they were ready for us as soon as we got back from our honeymoon (a week later!). Gene and his second shooter, grace, were both super warm and friendly and comforting throughout the process and the day of. They were excellent at making us laugh and feel comfortable when we needed it and also excellent at melting away (when we saw the pictures, there were countless photos taken that I didn't remember gene or grace being there!). Gene is one of the absolute best wedding photographers in the twin cities and his work is on par with top celebrity wedding photographers. Plus, he's just a treat to work with and our other vendors also loved him. Photography was one of our priorities in terms of our budget, and I am so thankful for every penny spent on Gene! We're excited about future photo sessions with him throughout our time in the twin cities and we cherish every photograph from our wedding and the feelings they perfectly captured.
I've been following Gene's work since I was about 17 years old, so when my husband I began planning our wedding, I knew that we wanted Gene there to capture our day. The photos tha...
t Gene captured of our wedding are perfect beyond anything we could have imagined— I love his portrait style as well as the quieter, more candid moments where you didn't even know he was there. We've received numerous compliments from family and friends— both on how the photos turned out and on how professional he was on the day. He was easy to work with and a genuine pleasure to get to know. I truly can't say enough good things or recommend him highly enough. Thank you, Gene!
Gene was masterful in his approach to our wedding photography. As he gave me a big hug goodbye at the end of the night, I won't forget how friends asked, "How long have you known h...
im? You two look like old friends together." My honest reply was "this is the first time we met in person."
Gene is such a warm, loving person that he integrates beautifully into the wedding scene. This effort to engage with people counterintuitively leads to the most natural photographs you could ask for. He gets right into the mix of things and feels like he should be there. The camera disappears and he's part of it all.
While rapport is nice on its own, it's wildly powerful when you combine it with Gene's artful eye. The curated photographs he sent back to us brought smiles and tears to our eyes. We could not be happier with his work or the time we spent together.
To say we are happy with our photos and experience working with Gene would be an understatement.

physical aspect of photography beyond pictures on a screen. What he delivered to us was a collection of photos that took our breath away - they were perfectly curated and captured the most tender moments between us, our families and our friends. I feel so incredibly grateful that we found Gene. Also, when your photographer shows up with Colleen from 2nd Truth as his second-shooter, you know you are good hands. Seriously. Was not expecting that.
Gene and another photographer traveled with us to St. Lucia to capture our elopement. Gene was absolutely amazing to say the least . He is fun, creative and very talented. We loved...

Gene of Geneoh Photography is amazing! I literally cannot say enough good things about him. He was with us all day- from 8 am until we left the bonfire we had after our reception. ...
He is relaxed and easy to work with. It felt more like having a friend with us all day than the pushy photographers I've seen at other weddings. I would hire Gene again in a heart beat!
Gene was a highlight of our wedding. He shot amazing engagement photos and documented our wedding day well. He is fun and personable and a true artist.
Gene was so great. He spent 13 hours photographing my wedding at the base price and had the photos back to me within a week. He offers printing services including custom wedding ...
