Jason is an amazing DJ! He’s fun, energetic, and down to earth. He was easy to schedule with. When we met him, we told him the types of music we liked and gave examples of songs we liked. He took it from there and created his own playlist, which was amazing! It got everyone dancing! He was able to gage the crowd and choose songs to get everyone excited. We also got the saxophone player to play along with the DJ, which was phenomenal! We got so many compliments on the music and saxophone player! The saxophone player was amazing and very talented! He moved around the dance floor as he was playing the saxophone! He played along to house music, 90’s music, reggaeton, etc. It created a great experience and our guests loved it! We highly recommend Generation Events!

I was definitely unsure of my decision made with Generation Events in the beginning, being that a hybrid of a DJ and live instruments was different than the norm and my fiancé felt that I was taking a "risk." However, it was the best risk I have ever taken in my life. Jason and team were PHENOMENAL. When I tell you, it has been 5 days since my wedding and people are still calling me letting me know how INSANE they were. This is the first review I am writing in my life and Generation Events deserves it all. The crowd was on the dance-floor the second they walked in to the second they left. The instruments were interactive and FUN. The singers were so talented and the DJ knew exactly the type of music to play. Overall, I am the happiest bride in the world thanks to GE. I can't wait to use them again for future events and I am SURE guests will be calling them and booking them as well. The best EVER!

DJ Freddy did not disappoint! I was nervous about having a DJ vs. a band at our wedding, but all my worries were put at ease the second we spoke with Generation Events (Jason and his team). They immediately got the vibe we were going for and the dance floor was completely full the entire night. Our wedding was in the Berkshires, so they were very accommodating with traveling 4 hours from NYC to help us celebrate. I couldn't have been happier with the services they provided, they truly went above and beyond for us.

Jason is incredible. I don't think a single guest at our wedding stopped dancing and no one wanted to leave! The party started from the minute we entered the reception space until they nearly kicked us out. We went with the hybrid option offered by Generation Events and it was the single greatest decision we made. So fun! We'd highly highly recommend Generation Events.

We had DJ Shaun at our wedding with a live violinst and they killed it. Every song was amazing and our friends kept commenting on how great the music was and how fun it was. The live violinst added some spark and was so cool. Jason is also hilarous and easy to work with.

Jason was absolutely amazing and kept the dancing party going all night! My husband and I literally did not leave the dance floor and had the time of our lives. It was an absolutely exuberant, energetic and full of joy party and so much fun for our guests too – it was everything we wanted. He read the crowd over the course of the evening and played the perfect music to keep everyone up and dancing. Jason was a pleasure to work with leading up to the wedding as well. One last thing – we wanted fun, loud music without the earsplitting feeling you sometimes get, and the speakers Jason brought were perfect for this and also looked really nice in the space.

We used the band from Generation events. They were absolutely excellent.

Jason is the best!!! When my husband and I disagreed on whether to get a band or DJ for our wedding, we got some advice from our friends to go with this DJ. And boy were they right! We booked Jason immediately after their recommendation , along with three live instruments that can be added to package (acoustic guitar, sax, congos). Jason and his team had the energy of the crowd at 100 for the entire wedding, the dance floor was packed the entire time. It was the best dance party ever and nobody wanted the night to end! 10 days after our wedding, we still have guests texting us saying that was the best dj ever! Thanks Jason for making our night so memorable and fun!

Jason absolutely MADE our wedding. The music he played was perfect and had every single guest at our wedding on the dance floor. He read the room and played music that everyone loved and couldn't resist being on the dance floor. Jason is super professional and super talented, but also just the nicest person and a great addition to the group of family and friends we had at the wedding! I could not recommend him and Generation Events enough!

Jason and team just absolutely crushed it, in the very best sense of the phrase. Generation Events was referred to us by our venue, as was told to us “they really do throw a great party!” and they absolutely weren’t kidding. Everybody was on the dance floor nonstop all night long, and I even saw several guests ask DJ Shaun for his card toward the end of the event. We received so many comments from guests remarking about how incredible the music was. From start to finish Jason was a pleasure to work with. At the beginning of the planning process we requested a bit of a Spanish theme, given my wife’s heritage. He very correctly identified DJ Shaun as the perfect DJ for this type of music, gave us song lists to help us find the perfect songs for events such as processional and recessional, etc, and basically told us everything we needed to know from start to finish. Anything and everything we needed, he provided. Then DJ Shaun walked in and played the ultimate set. It was a perfect event, and they were a perfect part of our team. Thanks again guys!

Jason from Generation Events provided the entertainment for my wedding at Tribeca Rooftop on September 27th. He was the DJ for the reception, provided background music for the cocktail hour as well as a harpist for the ceremony. We were incredibly happy with his services! The harpist was able to play our requested songs for the ceremony, which were very important to us. My husband is also very particular about song selection for the reception and Jason was very responsive to our requests and understood the style/vibe we were going for. He created such a fun atmosphere on the dance floor, which had everyone dancing throughout the night! He had a lot of ideas about the flow of the night but was flexible in working with the operations manager at our venue to make sure everything went according to their needs and our vision as well. I would highly recommend him as a wedding DJ for a fun party!

Jason was just perfect. Amazing. He had EVERYONE on the dance floor, including the senior citizens. He listened to all of our requests and was just so personable and friendly and funny--our personalities clicked and my husband and I were thrilled. Really, he couldn't have done a better job.

Jason Fioto of Generation Events DJ'd our wedding a few weeks ago. Jason literally made the party! He played the best music, including contemporary popular music, popular oldies that everyone loves, some 90s and some 80s hits. He is the best DJ I have ever heard, and our wedding was the best dance party! Everyone was on the dance floor for the whole reception, even our 90-year old grandparents. We barely gave him suggestions of songs, and he knew exactly what we would like and what would make our group happy! We had the best night of our lives and we are really grateful. Jason is also extremely professional, flexible and personable. He was so easy to work with, which is very important given the amount of time and planning that goes into a wedding. He is very responsive over email, and even organized a call with our wedding planner to finalize the itinerary of the reception and make sure that both were on the same page. I can't recommend him enough, and only wish that our reception went on longer because no one wanted to stop dancing!

We worked with Jason Fioto from Generation Events, and he was absolutely fantastic. We had different musical events in 3 locations within our venue, and he transitioned from one to the next seamlessly. He was so easy to talk to on the phone and immediately understood what we wanted. He is both thorough and organized in terms of song lists and fun and light-hearted. He made it clear from the outset that he could give us whatever we wanted -- if we wanted the crowd on the dance floor, he would have them dancing; if we wanted a calmer pace, he would provide a mellow atmosphere. And he completely delivered. He does an incredible job of going with the vibe of the crowd. Our group turned out to be much dancier than we expected, and Jason was able to keep the energy going all night. As the bride, it was great to have everybody out on the dance floor, as I was worried I would have to spend my night going from table to table to see everybody. We also had some unusual requests (family and friends giving musical performances) and Jason helped us seamlessly transition from one activity to the next and helped to provide proper amplification for different instruments. He was absolutely stupendous. I would hire him again in a heartbeat.

One of the best wedding decisions we made was hiring generation events. Jason helped us coordinate the music so that it was a real party for our guests, dj, electric violinist , bongos, congas .... Jason is organized, nice, on top of his stuff! All of our guests had a blast! DJ Shaun was our actual DJ and he rocked the house! He introduced the speeches, followed the timeline and played every single song we wanted. Our guests danced nonstop and are still raving about how great he was!!!

We went with Generation Events for our ceremony and reception. We met with Jason, but he was unfortunately unavailable for our wedding date, so we had Shaun B DJ the wedding. I was slightly annoying and submitted long play and do not play lists, and all my wishes were respected. The music was amazing and the dance floor was packed all night! We also had strings and a jazz trio for our ceremony and cocktail hour and they sounded great and were very professional.

We just got married in mid November 2012 and had the pleasure of working with Jason Fioto of Generation Events. He was recommended to us by Danielle at Kool Events who helped plan our event. Jason is extremely cool and was very accommodating as to what we were looking for, for our wedding day. We met twice before the wedding and were able to hammer out the details with ease, he totally "gets it". By the way, highly recommend getting the live percussionist as well, that added so much flavor to the party. I love house music and 80s, my wife likes hip hop, and of course we had to make everyone else happy, he made Everyone happy. After the Hora, he went into the first set and I was thinking "these folks are not gonna sit down and eat"! Needless to say, the song selection, mixing and announcements were perfect. Everyone kept raving about the music. My Mom even danced until 1 AM! Thanks Jason for an amazing party. 4 thumbs up!!!!

Jason Fioto at Generation Events was my top choice of DJ, as he had been so highly recommended to me by several people I trusted within the wedding industry. I was so happy when we were able to book him. Both my husband and I are both huge music people, so the DJ/music was extremely important to us, if not the most important element next to good food. From our first meeting, we could tell that Jason was awesome and just "got" it. For our wedding, it was important tome that our guests were on the dance floor having a blast. Jason delivered....he kept the dance floor bumping all night, and the short moment there was a lull- he got everyone back out. My friends/guests were raving about the dancefloor afterwards. Beyond that Jason looks and acts the part of a cool wedding DJ, far from the typical cheesy wedding DJ you may encounter. He also served as the MC for the evening, and he did great with that as well. Jason met with us a couple times to make sure everything flowed smoothly with our cues, and to get our "must" and "must plays" locked in. Jason was all-around so cool and great to work with and really kept the dance floor packed all night! Jason Fioto has my enthusiastic two thumbs up!

Our DJ was INCREDIBLE! He was so knowledgeable and well respected in the business. That being said, he trusted me and let me tell him how I wanted the recpetion to run. We did the cake cutting immediately after the first dance, which he had never done before, but allowed me to do so, and afterwards said it was the best idea and it worked perfectly. We chose most of the music, but the songs he mixed in and the order in which he made the night flow was PERFECT. Hands down, best decision for a DJ, and I have recommended him to friends without hesitation.

I have been to a ton of weddings and none have kept everyone dancing like Jason. He is a true mix-master. I want to have another party just to have him DJ. We hired our day of coordinators specifically to find us an awesome DJ and they delivered. So worth it. People are still calling to tell me it was the best dance party wedding ever three months later !!!
