Gene was absolutely incredible in all aspects during my wedding planning process. He is a shining light amongst florists and goes above and beyond for his brides. He was attentive to all my needs and also gave feedback when necessary to help me arrive to a gorgeous conclusion. I considered many florists in the Milwaukee and Madison area during my wedding planning process, but I feel incredibly lucky that I ultimately chose Gene. Gene was great to work with and did an awesome job on the flowers and arrangements at our wedding. He made a beautiful arrangement that was mounted on a trellis and became a beautiful "frame" for many of our pictures, the bouquets and everything we got from Gene was made with care and it all turned out great. He even transported some of the flowers into the dining area after the ceremony, all with a smile on his face. The bouquets were even so well put together that we were able to dry one and make a beautiful display in our home afterwards. I've gotten many flowers from Gene's Floral over the past few years for many different occasions and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a florist. Gene did such an amazing job with our wedding flowers, the bouquets and cake flowers were especially beautiful! He guided me to choose the right flowers for the look I wanted and included all the other bouquet additives I wanted. Would highly recommend him for your wedding florals.

I would highly recommend Gene's Beaver Floral. The flowers were absolutely stunning and Gene worked great with all our other vendors. COVID pushed our wedding from 2020 to 2021 and that we lived in Idaho so in-person meetings were very limited. For both of those complications, Gene was incredibly flexible. He also went out of his way to visit our venue beforehand, as it was one he had not been to before. I cannot recommend Gene enough!

I can not rave enough about how perfect our flowers turned out for our wedding in September. Gene is professional, approachable and very fun to work with. He has years of experience and would 10/10 recommend him for any floral needs. He listened to my vision and made it come alive. The staff was very friendly and easy to work with. Gene and his crew went over and above the call of duty not only once-but TWICE! He pivoted during our pandemic wedding and provided the most gorgeous peony arrangements for our simple back yard ceremony. Then he fit us into his busy schedule for the celebration a year later and worked his magic again! He took great care of the details and helped make the day an amazing success. Gene absolutely made our wedding vision come to life! We wanted to have an indoor garden theme, so the plan was to lean heavily into greenery and natural floral. Gene did not disappoint. Every centerpiece, bouquet, and special element exceeded our expectations. We had different venue locations for the dinner and our dance, and each was decorated fabulously. Would highly recommend!

I stumbled upon Genes info while searching the knot after looking through quite a few florists and nobody really peaked my interest. I am so thankful that I gave Gene a call. From the first phone call, he was personable and took the time to have genuine conversations with me. I gave him some inspiration pictures, but was open to any creative direction and his vision turned out better that I could have dreamed. On the day of our wedding, his team went above and beyond to help with anything they could, down to helping fix my train before I walked down the aisle. Gene and his staff were kind and personable from the start! He brought my vision to life and went above and beyond expectations. On my wedding day, his employee went the extra step of helping me down the aisle after my girls were already in their positions. She ran around the venue for me, fluffed my dress, centered my husband, and made my day perfect, all while handing out flowers to grandparents, parents, and the wedding party. I knew within a few minutes of meeting Gene that Gene's Beaver Floral was the right choice for my wedding flowers. Gene is very friendly and he really cares about your look and vision. He asked me about my dress, my bridesmaid dresses, my mom's dress, and my theme. I could tell he is very passionate about what he does right away. I didn't really have a clear idea about what to do for flowers, he showed me a few choices and made me a sample bouquet. He had the best ideas and made recommendations for areas that I wasn't sure about. The day of the wedding Gene was there for a couple of hours and went above and beyond to help when some of my ceremony decorations had to be set up at the last minute due to rain! You cannot match the personalized service or years of experience Gene and Karen have. They went above and beyond to bring my "bohemian chic" vision to life. BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! Not only were our flowers beautiful, the staff at Gene's Beaver Floral went above and beyond!! Meeting with Gene was easy, he was so knowledgeable and kind, his suggestions were spot on!! Part of the staff, Tricia, delivered our flowers to the church (in a snow storm), she helped the guys pin their flowers on (and fix their pants), she helped the ladies get ready, she held the umbrella for us during the ice storm!! She was their to help and support the bridal party in anyway she could. Our flower centerpieces were delivered to the reception the day off, not only were they perfect, Gene/Gene's staff helped to perfect some of the other reception decorations. Gene and his staff did such an amazing job on our floral arrangements for our wedding. They were absolutely perfect and brought tears to my eyes when I saw them the day of the wedding. He did such a great job listening to my ideas and then adding his creative touch to really make them pop. He was so accommodating and stayed with us at the church to make sure everything was in place (including my train and veil just before I walked down the aisle). Gene was the best florist I could have asked for! I knew what I wanted in a floral arrangement for our wedding, but had a hard time articulating what I was looking for. I had tried a different florist first, but he did not spend much time with me and I wasn't comfortable with what he came up with. When we met Gene he was not rushing us, and gave us his full attention. He worked through what I was trying to say I wanted for flowers, and the results were perfect. The bouquets were absolutely beautiful, the tables looked amazing, the aisle itself was decorated, and the towers of flowers at the front of the room made everything perfect. In addition, Gene also brought fresh flowers to put on our cake! Without Gene, our wedding would not have been half as beautiful. Finally, Gene was on time and ready to go on the day of the wedding in Milwaukee. He pinned all the flowers to the guys, gave all the girls their flowers, and made sure all the other family members had their corsages. He was without a doubt the right choice!!

I cannot say enough good things about Gene's Beaver Floral. From the initial consultation where Gene was able to put all of my ideas into one coherent plan, to the time where he carried the train of my dress as I began to walk down the aisle, he truly knows how to go above and beyond to make a wedding day special. Every time we came into his shop to add more ideas to our plan, Gene stopped what he was doing and made time to sit down with us and talk over everything. Gene made all of the bouquets, boutonnieres, centerpieces and many other decorations for our ceremony and reception, and I could not have been more pleased with how they turned out. I can't say enough good things about Gene and his team! He gave us some great ideas for our wedding and also helped us pick the perfect flower combination for our wedding. The flowers were beautiful! We were also very pleased knowing that they delivered to Lake Geneva from Beaver Dam. Overall, they helped make our day perfect.

I loved my flowers from Gene! He has years of experience to draw from and was interested in learning all the details of my wedding to learn about me and what I liked. He even made a trip to see my church and venue just to see what types of flowers I would need. He had great suggestions, was helpful and knowledgeable, and created beautiful bouquets and centerpieces for our wedding. Gene personally came to deliver my flowers and see me on my wedding day, which is just another example of how much he cares and how invested he is in making your wedding perfect. Gene was so wonderful! He brought a helper to decorate the morning of my wedding (I'm so sorry I don't remember her name) but they both did a fabulous job. Everything looked better than I imagined. They also stayed between ceremony and reception to help change everything over. While they waited his helper became my personal attendant!! She was helping with my dress and getting me water. Gene's Beaver Floral provided the flowers to my daughter's wedding in June 2016, and we could not have been more pleased. Gene, and his staff, worked tirelessly the day of the wedding to be certain everything was in perfect order at the church and the reception site (Edgewater Hotel in Madison). The colors and flower choices were gorgeous, and we received many compliments. Gene's experience was evident from the first meeting as he made it clear that he wanted to get a clear idea of my daughter's vision for her wedding day. He had a number of excellent suggestions on use of items other than flowers, such as candles and vases, which were beautiful and helped keep the cost down (which I appreciated). Additionally, Gene's attentiveness to the bride, and the wedding party, at the wedding was endearing and essential. We could not have been more pleased with Gene and his staff, they were an extremely important part of our wonderful day. I highly recommend Gene's Beaver Floral!

There truly aren't enough words to describe how happy I am that we made the decision to go to Gene Rubey for our daughter's flowers. As the mother of the bride, I wanted my daughter to have the most beautiful flowers, but I got WAY more than just flowers. First of all, we changed our ideas more than once, and he was understanding and didn't mind the changes. Secondly, if there was something we didn't like that he suggested, he was ok with us being honest about it. On the day of the wedding, he was like exactly the third hand that we needed....he helped my daughter get ready for the ceremony, straightened out little details on everyone's dresses/tuxes as needed, added some charms to my daughter's bouquet last-minute, fixed a mistake on the table placement cards, and was there for anything we needed. He is a SUPER man, very professional and I would recommend him to everybody!!!!! If I had to do it all over again, I would choose Gene again!!!!!

Gene did the floral arrangements for my sister's wedding and for my wedding a few months later, and both were absolutely gorgeous!! Although my sister and I have very different taste, Gene was able to work with each of us to create something beautiful. Prior to meeting with Gene, I didn't have a clear vision of what I wanted my centerpieces or bridal bouquets to look like. He was able to show me different options and offer helpful advice. On the big day, everything was more beautiful than I could have dreamed of!

If I could I would give Gene's floral a million star review!! The whole staff is amazing to work with and they put together such beautiful arrangements! My wedding contained flowers that acted as my "pop of color" and they did just that! Such beautiful colors stood out to complete our perfect wedding day! Gene & his team went above and beyond to make our day perfect, even making last minute adjustments like adding flowers to our cakes to make every detail beautiful and unique. I did not have a clear vision of what I wanted my flowers to look like - I'm not the bride who had favorite types and colors picked out years ahead of time. Gene took my vision for the day and created the most beautiful suite of bouquets, centerpieces, and GORGEOUS pieces for backdrops and entry ways that turned our backyard wedding into a grand event. Gene did the flowers for my parents wedding over 30 years ago so it was a no-brainer to have him do the flowers for my wedding this past weekend. I met with Gene a couple of times leading up to the day and every time he made me feel like my wedding was the most important! When he delivered the flowers the day of the wedding the flowers were more beautiful than I could have imagined! I received so many compliments on the flowers! My bridesmaids couldn't believe how big their bouquets were and how absolutely gorgeous they were! Gene brought and set up a wedding arch for our outdoor ceremony and decorated it with beautiful flowers. The centerpieces for the reception was just as beautiful as all the bouquets as well. He even made all the vases for the centerpieces. No detail was spared!!! I can not say enough good things about the flowers!!! Everything was perfect!!! Whats more is that he stayed to make sure everything went well and even helped me get started down the aisle by straightening my train. He is the package deal and well worth the money!

Gene helped to give me the wedding of my dreams! He took the ideas I had and helped me to make them into something fantastic. My flowers looked better than I could have ever dreamed thanks to his recommendations. He was so helpful throughout the whole process. Any changes that I had or new ideas I came up with, he helped me through them and helped work them into what we already had planned. I met with him several times to go over changes I wanted to make and each time he was more than happy to go over everything to the detail until I knew I had what I wanted. You will not go wrong with Gene, he has done several weddings I've been to, every single one the flowers have been amazing. For that reason I knew I had to have him! The best part was he was at my wedding to help set up the flowers and make sure everyone had their flowers pinned, it helped to make the day of the wedding so smooth. I was so happy to have him there! My wedding and reception were all at one location, so not only was Gene there to help with the gitters before I walked down the aisle, he was also there to make sure my reception looked amazing and he didn't leave until I saw the finish product. The coordinator at my location even complimented me on how wonderful he was helping to make sure the tables looked flawless. Gene did the most amazing job for our wedding! We knew he was great because he did both of my sister's weddings as well, but he exceeded our expectations! He made our venue look absolutely beautiful in ways that I never imagined.

I happened upon Gene's service approximately 8 weeks before my wedding day after my former florist fell through. He took me in with open arms, kept our meetings to 2 times and emails, and managed to remain near my former budget for flowers. Then, the day of, the flowers looked better than I could have imagined. My guests asked if they were real, they looked so perfect. Gene helped my vision come to life, and he was pleasant and accommodating the whole time. Thanks Gene!

Gene is so talented! Absolutely gorgeous arrangements and he thought of every detail. They delivered, set up, and helped through out the entire wedding. It was above and beyond any expectation. Definitely the best florist in the area! I still have people asking me who our florist was and our wedding was over a month ago!

The first impression from both my (now) husband and I, was that Gene knew what he was talking about. I was referred to Gene through a friend, and he lived up to the expectations from start to finish. He took the colors I wanted and designed the floral arrangement, all the while making sure I was okay with certain flowers and designs. All I gave Gene was the colors and the style I was going for, and it was like he had a picture in his head how it would look. I wanted bling in my bouquets, so he put glitter in the bridesmaids and diamond accents in mine. This turned out better than what I had in mind and was a hit with all the girls. Prior to the ceremony he suggested all the little things: He put an arrangement around the Unity candle. He supplied the aisle runner to the alter. When I wanted flowers on the cake he came up with a simple yet elegant look that's hard to describe other than it looked perfect. On the day of the wedding, Gene was at the church pinning flowers on all the appropriate people and even helped fluff my dress before I walked down the aisle. After the ceremony he transported everything to the reception. I received many compliments from family and especially the bridesmaids. Gene made the whole process seamless and always had a vision in mind on how everything would work best. He even let us keep two vases. After the wedding I kept my flowers in the fridge way longer than I should have, because they were just that beautiful. I have already recommended Gene and would continue to do so. Perfect service.

I met w/ Gene 2 days before my daughter's wedding. He welcomed me to his store w/ open arms and showed me a bride's maid bouquet. It was absolutely gorgeous & I knew it was exactly what my daughter wanted. The day of the wedding Gene was @ the venue before we arrived. The first thing we saw we all the table arrangements, my daughter was beyond excited! Gene did all the pinning on. When my daughter saw her bouquet she had tears. Gene was so attentive to our bride, groom, family & wedding party. We were all surprised @ how long he stayed w/ us to make sure everything was perfect. All of the bridesmaids were in awe of Gene! All of our guests asked who did the flowers & many plan to use Gene in the future. I have only seen a sample of the wedding photos so far & know they are made even more beautiful because of Gene's flowers. If you are looking for a florist who will take the time to get to know you & truly care about your wedding day & making sure everything is Perfect than you better pick Gene. He is not only the best florist I have ever met he is a wonderful person!! P. S. if finances are an issue my daughter is an accountant and that means Gene was very reasonable as this is his passion! Overall rating should be More than ever expected.

Gene and Beaver Floral were the best vendor we had for our wedding! Initially meeting with Gene, he puts you at ease, and works with you to give you what you want within your budget. He says his job is to make the wedding day easier on the bride, and he did! We had bouquets, boutonnieres, centerpieces, and various other arrangements for the reception made by Gene, all of them were absolutely beautiful, and just what I was picturing. On the wedding day, Gene delivers the bouquets, then hangs out to make sure everyone who needs to gets their flowers, then made sure my train and dress were perfecting before sending me down the aisle. Then he rushes off to the reception to help with the final decorating. It was awesome! We also had some issues with difficulty setting up different things for the reception, I told these to Gene, he said to tell him what we wanted, and then would do it! And they did perfectly! If you want an amazing florist, and a professional semi-personal assistant, Gene's Beaver Floral is it! They were perfect and we can't thank them enough!

Gene was very attentive in what we needed, and hand delivered all the items to our wedding. He pinned the boutonnières, put the corsages on, and handed all bouquets! He was excellent at answering questions and I truly have nothing bad to say except his services are pricey! You pay quite a lot but if you can afford him, do it!! The reception flowers were stunning and put a classy turn on some of the drabber decor on the venue. I wish he'd lend his services to wedding planning as well, could have used that at least for day of! :)

I was recommended by Gene through a friend. Until about three months before my wedding I was going to do Costco or Sam Club Flowers and do them myself to save money. I then decided to just get a quote from Gene and see what he could do. He came up with something in my budget and I decided it was a good idea to go with him and not have the stress of DIY wedding flowers. I did all communication with Gene through email. I can say that I was Gene's first Bride to do that and with a BIG smile on my face. Gene was there when I arrived at my venue in Deerfield, WI, Badger Farms, LLC. He had the flowers on the cake already and everything ready to go. He stayed with me until my Grandmother and Grandfather arrived, I would say he was there for about 3 hours give or take. It is actually bringing tears to my eyes as I write this. In this day in age, I thought he would show up and drop the flowers off, just like the cake vendor. NO, not Gene. He was there as my angel that day and helped me with pictures, flower placement, getting everyone ready for the big day that had flowers. He also gave me pointers on how to pose in general and pose with the flowers. My husband and I still talk about how AMAZING Gene was. I have to be honest and say I usually do not take the time to write a review. I just can't say enough how amazing he was, so I am going to have my husband, mother, and as many people as I can get to write reviews about him and I know this will be an easy task because Gene's Beaver Floral is 100 out of 5 stars. I will use him for all my flower needs in the future. If you are a bride PLEASE do me a favor, use him, it will be the difference between an okay day and a WONDERFUL day you and your husband won't forget! Gene is such an amazing and talented florist and such a wonderful and kind person. His love for his job truly shows through in everything you do. He really went above and beyond what I had wanted for my wedding. I can't say enough good things about Gene and I recommend him to everyone I meet. You will NOT be disappointed with him. My wedding dreams were complete as soon as the flowers arrived and you could really tell that Gene put all of his heart into those flowers.

You will not be disappointed, I promise you that!!!! Our wedding was vintage themed with a lot of hand picked items and all different centerpieces. Gene had little direction given to him by me, other than I love hydrangeas, roses and baby's breath and he took my breath away with his creations! I wanted to set up my own wedding, and he made arrangements to bring all our centerpieces a day early so that I could pick and choose what went where- extremely flexible! He also met us at the venue a month early and helped discuss our ideas and give us advice. Our centerpieces were stunning, and he created an amazing wall of flowers to dress up our ceremony space. His imagination, ADVICE and calming effect are worth every penny. He has a steel trap for a mind and remembers each and every wedding he has done, you will not be forgotten & you will be treated like the most important person. He knew my family members by name & stayed well past the ceremony making sure flowers were all in their spots. He even helped me get down the stairs to my ceremony and passed off my bouquet. My bouquet was absolutely gorgeous!! So many guests commented on our flowers and wanted his card for their own events. He is a true professional that doesn't know how to do a job less than 110%, and we are forever grateful for what he helped us create. This will be one vendor that you will not worry about!

Beaver Floral has been my families go to floral shop as long as I can remember so it was only natural that we picked them for the wedding. They exceeded any expectations I could have set with their amazing floral arrangements. They took care of setting up at the church, taking down, and moving everything to the Golden Mast where it was set up and perfect by the time I arrived. I'm very happy with everything they helped out with for the wedding.

We worked with Gene for our wedding. He was so helpful from the beginning. When we had our first meeting he wanted to hear our vision for the wedding and made suggestions of flowers to fit the vision. He made sure that I was agreeing with flowers because I liked them, not because I didn't want to hurt his feelings. Not only did Gene give us great advice about the flowers but about any other questions we had concerning the wedding. Gene was willing to come to the rehearsal (we didn't have our officiant there) to help guide us along. He also helped us get the flowers from the wedding to the hotel after the reception. He was willing to be as involved as we wanted him. We even got thank you cards after the wedding from guest thanking us for inviting them to such a gorgeous wedding. The flowers were the only decorations we used!

Gene spent hours with us selecting our favorite flowers and colors. After listening to our thoughts he created 5 different table arrangements. His expertise and experience in all aspects of wedding planning was extremely helpful. He took care of pinning on all the flowers, lighting the candles and moving the flowers from the church to the reception and displayed them just how we planned. While we were enjoying ourselves at the church ceremony, he had his talented staff doing the decorating at the reception site. Not only were the flowers gorgeous, the quality was outstanding, we were able to enjoy them long after the wedding, obviously using top quality vendors.

I could not have been more pleased with the flowers for our wedding. They were more beautiful than I ever expected. The quality of the flowers was unbelievable--myself along with several family members kept some of the flowers as decoration in our homes after the wedding and they still appeared fresh for approx 2-3 weeks! And to top it off, the service at Gene's is top notch. The staff was more than helpful throughout the wedding planning as well as the day of the wedding. My husband and I will definitely be returning customers for all our floral needs.

Gene is an amazing florist with a heck of a rap sheet. He always goes above and beyond to explain anything u may be wondering. Tell him your budget and he will work with it. He is very creative, after being in the business for a long time! Dont doubt his work, he will be there with more than u expect of him! He takes pride in his work and it definetly shows!!!

Gene went above and beyond for our wedding. He was so creative during the design process, but at the same time listened to what I was looking for. He was able to work with our budget. He is SO easy to work with and SO much fun! He gave 120% service on my wedding day, (something you won't get from most florist). He was there to make sure everyone got their flowers pinned on, and even hand delivered my bouquet to me. He even made a very special and beautiful collar for our dog out of silk flowers. Our flowers at our ceremony, and reception were breathtaking, way more then I expected. If you are getting married in the Wisconsin area, you MUST go and see Gene.

The flowers were great! Gene went out of his way to make my wedding day less stressful. He even took his time handed out/pinned on all the flowers the day of the wedding. Gene did a few little things that I asked him not to do, but they were very minor things.

Gene was incredibly creative and I can't say enough things about how beautifully everything turned out - our flowers were spectacular! Gene definitely went above and beyond to ensure that everything was perfect including bringing his own table for the unity candle. In addition Gene took the time to sit down with us and work out the logistics of the entire wedding even aspects he wasn't involved in (such as the receiving line or the gift table). A+
