s though, it turned out absolutely perfect, and I have so many people to thank for that including Genesa. Prior to our wedding, Genesa was the only photographer my husband and I met with. We instantly fell in love with her portfolio and connected really well on a personal level as her husband is military like mine. We got married at a Christmas Tree Farm, and even though it was a down pour storm a good percentage of the day, we were able to find the perfect time slots to go out and take some fun pictures. Genesa had all sorts of ideas, she was super easy going and it was pretty obvious that it was not her first rainy wedding. She handled it all so well which made our day all the more stress-free and fun. We are so happy we had Genesa as a part of our big day. Her pictures are stunning, and are promised to make you smile. I would highly recommend hiring Genesa, you will fall in love with the photos she delivers!

The pictures from the engagement and wedding turned out amazingly too. I don't think I have to say much about the quality of her photography since her pictures on her site and Facebook pretty much speak for themselves--I saw her work on a website and it was what prompted me to contact her in the first place. All in all, I'm extremely pleased and so happy to have had Genesa capture our special day in photo.

e it was during a holiday weekend. Meeting Genesa was the biggest blessing in disguise. My parents and I met up with her at Starbucks where we were able to see some of her work. After seeing three pictures we all were so in love with her and her work. We booked her that same night! We were fortunate enough to work with her before the wedding day with some engagement photos and she actually got my husband to participate and SMILE!!! Flash forward to the wedding day. She was the easiest and sweetest person to work with. We were a little delayed in our time schedule but they never made us feel rushed. Genesa gave us a one shot "preview" the next day and I remember my husband saying. "That one photo is all I need." Getting back all of the photos from the wedding we had a preview party where my mom and I cried, and my husband and dad laughed at some of the moments we don't really remember but Genesa captured perfectly. Genesa is the most humble, amazing, sweet, and professional photographer. She is so easy to talk to and really works to capture the moments you want and the poses you want, while giving you guidance on things she thinks might look good. She is a master at her art form and we are so happy we had her as our wedding photographer. If you book with Genesa you will not be sorry. of price range since we were paying for our wedding ourselves. I started looking for other photographers and yet still following Genesa because I was just so in love with everything she was posting. I talked to my fiancé again about getting her as a photographer. I told him that this was the ONE thing I wanted to splurge on for the wedding. He agreed and told me we could use her. When I talked to Genesa, she was very understanding about prices. She worked with us with out payments for the first month or so until we paid her in full! She did our engagement session as well as our wedding photos. I have not had any problems with her at all. She is very caring and when she is shooting you can tell that she loves what she does. I didn't know where to go for our engagement session but I told her what I wanted the outcome to look like and she picked a beautiful place and made it happen as the sun was going down!! She followed our journey of being engaged and was so excited to be a part of our big day! When the day finally came I was so excited for her to be there with us! She had a second shooter, Toni. I didn't have much interaction with Toni since I was mainly with Genesa for pictures but all the boys were with her and they LOVED her!!! Genesa was also awesome with me and my girls. The whole wedding party loved her. They were both so creative with their shots. We had some sneak peaks of our wedding pictures and I just got half of them back today and OMG WE LOVE THEM!!! Our engagement session and wedding photos both couldn't have turned out better! I feel like I have know her my whole life. She has been so awesome with me and husband! I hope she continues photograph the rest of our happy times together!!! SHE IS AMAZING!!! Don't even think twice about hiring her. She wont disappoint you!! Photos are something you will be able to look back on for the rest of your life and its not something you want someone to mess up or forget to take a picture of something! OH... that reminds me. I didn't see Genesa take detail shots because I was busy getting ready. I thought she didn't get a picture of my shoes and garter up close but when I looked at the half she gave me today, they were there!!! So she is also sneaky! :) She saw my cousin try to open a bottle of champagne and spill it all of the floor but she was sure to get pictures of that too! I missed that at the wedding but I heard the story and now I have the pictures from it! I must say seeing all the other sneak peaks from weddings that she's done I was looking forward to seeing my own. When I saw them I was absolutely taken back. Her work is stunning. Having a rustic wedding I was say it was very rustic chic. But then she's done beach weddings and those photos looked very modern elegant. I loved what I saw in my photos. Genesa's work is stunning and every chance I get to talk about my wedding all I talk about is my photographer and the venue. To be honest the venue is always a venue the photographers make the venue amazing. The photographer has ideas and angles for the right shots. Theres hidden treasures that a photographer knows about. Genesa had done a wedding at my venue before and those photos left me speechless. Genesa and her work can go either direction like I said before. Chic to modern and everything in between. She knows what she is doing and her questions that you answer for her gives her the tools to provide you the most amazing photos. The thought and time that she puts in her photos I would wait however long I need to to have her be my photographer. Now I never plan to get married again but any photos I need done or want done she will be the first person I call. Thank you Genesa for always providing the most amazing photos that can be desired. I was so excited for our big day from what I had seen. And our big day came and Genesa was just so much fun to work with and she knew what she was doing. She showed me pictures as she went and never did I have to ask well can we do this pose or that pose, she just knew exactly what to do. I highly recommend her, worth every penny we spent!

She was on top of things and even had the venue bring us a plate of our hors d'oeuvres to make sure we were able to try them all. edding because I didn't want to regret not having beautiful wedding pictures to display in our home and in an album. The hiring and contract process was really easy and non-stressful. She also allowed us to pay in two installments. Genesa is based out of Washington State and I live in Texas. Her quoted price to me included hotel and plane fare and a second shooter. With all of these "extras," her price was still VERY reasonable, especially for the quality of shots I was expecting from her. Genesa took the time to get to know my fiance and I through facebook and a thorough questionnaire. Please take the time to fill this out, if you hire her! It really helps her get a feel for what you want, and being able to put it down on paper is super helpful when you are flitting all over the place as a stressed out bride. Genesa gently reminded me several times to get the questionnaire back to her, because she REALLY wants to provide her clients with the best possible service. My wedding was supposed to be outdoors, in south Texas. Of course, in the middle of a drought, it would rain ALL DAY on my wedding. The wedding was moved indoors. I didn't get the sunset shots or outdoor wedding photos I had dreamed of, but I wish I could show you what she did with what we had to work with. We had a 15 minute break in the rain and she rushed us outside and she got pictures I turned around and ordered on a gallery canvas! She took a dreary, rainy, gray skies day, put it in the background and made us shine. It was phenomenal. I was terribly cold and uncomfortable but she kept smiling and gently pushing me to take a few more photos outside. I'm so glad she did. Our photos are so beautiful. We did not have a videographer at our wedding, but Genesa took so many pictures that we practically didn't need one. We have the wedding start to finish. Genesa sent me the images and a release to have them printed however I wanted. (This was included in her price quote.) She delivered sneak peeks via facebook that made me squeal and delivered the images about a month after the wedding. I was so excited to get them so quickly that I literally ripped the package open. Even though my wedding was not exactly how I imagined it, Genesa made magic out of something that could have been miserable. She is in tune to the needs of her clients and very easy to work with. r to our wedding I contacted her. She responded quickly and we set up our first meeting. We loved her from the start. Her vision and our expectations were a perfect match. We hired her right there and than. Because my husband and I were already married in a small court ceremony years ago we opted not to have an engagement session (which is included in her package). So she offered to make a family session. The pictures turned out stunning, which is not easy with two very active toddlers on the scene. Prior to our wedding we had constant contact and she was quick to respond. Just a day prior to our wedding I emailed her to ask her to stay one hour longer for our reception. Her answer: "absolutely"! The day off I was so happy when she entered my bridal room where I was nervously getting ready. I knew that she will be there along the way to capture every moment of our special day. A day that we have waited so long for (six years to be exact). During the ceremony I couldn't even tell she was there making pictures, which was awesome. We asked our guest to leave their private cameras off because we didn't want our catholic ceremony interrupted by people getting up and down to capture some picture. That's why Genesa and her team were there. And she did fabulous and respected the church wonderfully. After the reception we had all our portraits done, quick and easy. It was a lot of fun actually. At the reception she was always around capturing every moment of our party. Her pictures are a work of art. Her sense of lighting and her creativity is impeccable and it shines in every single image. We are truly happy that we hired Genesa for our wedding and I know I will be in touch with her for many years. I love her work and I want to see our family through the years captured by her. , Genesa photographed our engagement session. I had all these ideas in my head of what I wanted (Pinterest), but when we arrived at the location she explained to me that sometimes it's best to just let the shoot happen naturally. I did just that and I was so happy I did. In June 2014, Genesa shot our wedding day. I tell you I have never cried such happy tears and stared at pictures so long and so many times as I did when she provided us our sneak peak photos. My wedding day reminded me of something you see in a magazine! A surreal fairytale with a happy ever after. It was truly the best day of my life and she captured every moment and detail. My pictures are amazing. Besides the fact that she is amazing and has the greatest work ever, Genesa is so easy to work with, has a great attitude, and so humble. If you are looking for someone to make your portraits one of a kind, she is the one!

rfect photographer to capture the most important day of my life. It certainly did not prove to be the case for us. Let me start from the beginning. There were very few photos of the wedding party getting ready and even less of the specific “getting ready” photos that I had requested as part of our contract. When it came time to take the bridal party and family photos, she was disorganized and missed photos of some of the most important groupings. During the ceremony, the most important pictures were taken from across the room and there were only a few close-up images. We did a huge Seahawks-themed grand entrance and the epic photos were missed and the ones that were taken were from across the room. During our reception I was notified by one of my bridesmaids that she had been “resting” in the dressing room for almost an hour while we were making our rounds at the reception. Once she returned to the reception she captured very few photos of us with our guests. During dinner, she came up to my husband and I and said that she had forgotten to take photos of our rings, took our rings and disappeared for almost forty minutes. After much prodding, months later Genesa finally finished piece-mealing what she considered a complete gallery. The gallery was completely out of order and filled with duplicate images and even some photos from different weddings! This makes it harder than you imagine to try to sort through and organize. By the time we got all of our photos, we were extremely disappointed. In our agreement, we requested several specific photos and they forgot or missed more than we ever would have imagined. When we asked her to send us those photos, it was later revealed that they were never taken. As for the photos that she did take, some of them were pretty good. However, the bulk of the photos were lower quality than we expected from a professional photographer. We reached out to Genesa and expressed our concerns with the images in hopes that she might be able to work with us to rectify the situation. Instead of working with us, she immediately went on the defensive. We exchanged much heated dialogue in an attempt to resolve the issue. She led me to tears on four different occasions and I was finally forced to turn all communication over to my husband because I was so upset. To say working with her was a challenge is stating it very lightly. It took five months to finally get our wedding photos. I wish I could share with you the results of this whole fiasco, but we are legally bound to confidentiality. Yes, you heard me correctly - our wedding photography became a legal battle. Based on my experience, I cannot in good faith recommend Genesa Richards Photography for your wedding photography needs. A wedding is a once-in-a-lifetime moment and I do not want anyone to have to go through what I did.

I was so worried but Genesa reassured us that it was going to be ok. And it was!!! Not only was it ok it was amazing! She had great ideas and listened to my suggestions (Dang Pinterest). She never rushed us through out the whole evening and was so friendly that our friends and family thought she was a close friend. She may have started out a stranger but she has become a friend and someone very dear to us! We couldn't have asked for a better photographer and will always use her for any event or celebration. We recommend her to our family and friends and give her the best reviews because she truly deserves nothing but the best reviews.
