About this vendor
Congratulations on your journey!
I'm so grateful to be sharing my portfolio, my life's work, with you! After 14 years as a professional wedding photographer, I can say that it has been a true gift to be able to document so many moments, so many faces, and so much love. I think what I love the most about weddings is the opportunity to see people in their truest expression, with their hearts open wide, and surrounded by a community that supports and loves them. There is such inspiration in being able to co-create during those moments.
Before this past decade of full-time (30+ weddings/year), I started as a photojournalism student who spent most of her free time in the darkroom. After that, I went on to study Fine Art in the States, Fashion in London, Documentary in Nepal, and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Art with an emphasis in Documentary Photography. I like to combine these techniques; documentary + fashion and flow with the style of each wedding. Something I love to know about the couples I work with- what is intriguing to them? What catches their eye the most and what is their comfort level being photographed? Do you want direction while we shoot together or do you prefer to be captured more naturally, in moments? In my initial meetings, I love to break it down and get to know you and how we can create together.
I currently reside in Taos, New Mexico, and have spent my journey with wedding photography from Seattle to Israel, from Michigan to Mexico... I am an adventurer at heart. I'd love to meet you and hear about your adventure ahead!

yful with us is appreciated.
I feel that some of the best photos that she took of us came from the seemingly unassuming or “ordinary moments”, no posing or forethought, just an organic and fluid photograph where we didn’t even notice that she had captured breathtaking memories to last lifetimes.
Megan is dedicated to creating art with stunning quality, integrity, vision, & higher vibrations. Many of her photos took my breath away and I'd gladly work with her again in a heartfelt heartbeat!

lism and warmth that instantly put us at ease. Her ability to listen and understand our vision was unmatched, and she made every effort to capture not only the moments we had envisioned but also the countless, spontaneous memories we’ll treasure forever. Megan’s eye for detail is truly artistic—she didn’t just take photos; she told the story of our day in a way that felt intimate and magical.
What made Megan so special was her ability to adapt and become part of the celebration. She effortlessly blended into the group, making everyone comfortable and capturing moments that felt completely authentic. By the end of the day, it felt like she wasn’t just our photographer, but a friend who shared in the joy of the occasion. The way she highlighted the unique atmosphere of our setting in Mexico—incorporating the vibrant colors, stunning light, and the natural beauty of our surroundings—was breathtaking. She had a way of making every shot feel personal, like she truly understood the emotions behind each moment.
For any couple searching for a photographer who goes beyond expectations, I cannot recommend Megan at Genevie Leigh enough. She is not only a gifted artist but also someone who genuinely cares about making your day as special as possible. Her dedication, warmth, and ability to capture the essence of a wedding day is something future brides and grooms will be endlessly grateful for. Megan didn’t just document our day—she gave us memories we have cherished for the last decade and will a lifetime more. Choosing her was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding.
