We had an amazing experience working with Carey to plan our Honeymoon! From the very beginning, he made the entire process incredibly easy and stress-free. We weren't exactly sure where we wanted to go, but Carey took the time to listen to what we were looking for and provided several great destination options to consider.
What really stood out was how detailed and organized everything was. He broke down the pricing, travel details, and accommodations for each option, which made it so much easier for us to compare and narrow down our choice. Having someone handle all of the planning took a huge weight off our shoulders and allowed us to focus on getting excited about our vacation.

Meet the team
- Carey WilkeningOwnerI owe my love of travel to my parents. They gave me the opportunity to see a lot of places when I was young, and that love of travel carried all through my college years and launched my career to set me up where I am today. I majored in Recreation and Tourism at Colorado State University with a minor in Business and after an internship at a travel agency in Missouri ended, I moved back to Colorado and became an agent at Genie Travel near the end of 2014. After 10 wonderful years as an agent, I took over as owner in July of 2025. I can't pick a favorite destination that I've visited, but my top few would have to be France, Italy, Greece, Ireland and Peru. Outside of the office, I enjoy the outdoors and am a pretty avid hiker, fisherman, and recently picked up golf which is now a new obsession too. I have been married to my wonderful wife for 2 years and alongside our cat, Oliver, live a wonderful home life.
