We had some great vendors for our wedding and DJ JD was the greatest. We had a zoom meeting beforehand and he made sure to know exactly what we wanted for our wedding. He also checked with us to make sure we were on schedule at the reception. This was a huge help because he noticed some scheduling issues that we weren’t expecting. Since we didn’t have a wedding planner, this was greatly appreciated. The music was perfect and had a great flow throughout the night. DJ JD was also able to incorporate our more unique requests mixing 90s with Symphonic Metal.

We had Genius Entertainment DJ our wedding and they were absolutely awesome! They have an excellent online system for clients that makes planning all your song selections and choosing a playlist super easy. Our DJ, JD, was awesome and played the best music at our reception! He kept the party going all night and we had a ton of fun dancing. I highly recommend Genius Entertainment for any event!

Rodney DJ’d our wedding, and we can’t say enough good things about him and Genius Entertainment. They have a great website where you can log in and personalize your ceremony and reception music. It was easy to use, and we felt like we had total control over everything from song choices to lighting to wedding party introductions. Rodney took the feel of what we trying to do, and he filled in the gaps and dialed it up to 11! I’m so glad my husband insisted on investing in a good DJ. I completely underestimated how much work goes into what they do and what a difference it makes to have a professional. Rodney helped us plan our reception layout and gave us great general advice on how to throw a good party. We even realized at the last minute that we needed to change our whole ceremony music, and he delivered. I thought a DJ just brought a playlist, but Rodney brought the party. He customized everything and responded immediately to the subtlest of cues in a way a band could never do. At the reception, I’ve never seen so many people packed onto a dance floor. It was incredible. We got a ton of compliments on the music, and our guests told us all night what a fun wedding it was. My husband and I had the time of our lives, and Genius was a huge part of that. You can’t beat the quality for the price, either. Just do yourself a favor and hire them now!

Genius entertainment was great to work with from Day 1. Rodney was so flexible in meeting with me to discuss what our wedding vision was like and literally stayed on the phone with me for like 15 minutes because I was lost and couldn't find their office. They also made it so easy to request songs leading up to the event. Jonathan was our DJ for our wedding and was amazing! He cued a really dramatic processional song that I wanted exactly how I wanted it and kept the party going all night. So happy we went with Genius Entertainment!

Jared was amazing!! I met him at the bridal expo in January and I’m so thankful that I chose his company for my wedding Dj! He kept the party jumping until the very last song. You will not be disappointed by choosing Genius Entertainment.

If you want to have an amazing time at your wedding reception, hire Genius! DJ JD (Jonathan Davis) did NOT disappoint and managed to help get basically everyone out on the dance floor at one point or another. I only had the opportunity to speak with him a couple of times during the reception, but he was SO nice and helpful and, at least from our perspective, everything went smoothly. Before the event, the Genius team remained in communication, and the fact that you can do everything online, even picking all of your songs and songs you'd like to be played, was awesome! Rodney helped us leading up to the big day and he was awesome and responsive. As a same-sex couple, we struggled before the wedding to find reviews of vendors from other same-sex couples, so I also want to take a moment to say how this fact didn't even faze anyone at Genius one bit. Ever. I can't recommend Genius Entertainment and DJ JD highly enough to anyone looking for the perfect wedding DJ. It was a party never to be forgotten, thanks in large part to them. I know this because friends and family keep telling us what a great time it was!

Jarad was fabulous from the first interaction to our wedding night. He picks up his phone any time of day and is available for any questions. He listened to our song requests and made sure the keep our reception fun and the dance floor full. Would recommend him to anyone in need of a fun, attentative dj!

Met with Jarad and our DJ Rodney a few days before the event. We went over everything, they were great at asking questions about stuff, I hadn't even through of. However on the day of, our Ceremony exit song, was not what we had discussed. I will say i was not picky and they had made some suggestions and said they would take care of. The song played was not one of their suggestions. So I was momentarily confused when music started playing. Again wasn't too picky and just went with it. We had gone over what I wanted for the dinner & dancing music and i feel like my request wasn't really met. I had asked for oldies during the dancing portion because we had at least 70% of the crowd from an older generation. But they played oldies during dinner when no one was dancing and had a mix of old and new throughout the night. I didn't get too hung up on it, because everyone was still have good time. The Genius Entertainment guys reliable, professional and overall my friends & family danced the night away, so they are good in my book!

Jarad was an awesome DJ!! He was able to work with the crowd and worked awesome with my other vendors! We loved the music and were happy to have so many different music choices! Thank you Jarad!!

If you're planning an event during hurricane season do not choose this DJ. He will ask you to pay early for a small discount, and then refuse to refund you when there is a category 5 hurricane headed towards your wedding because you've already paid the balance. Jarad was blatantly rude to multiple members of my wedding team, and he also missed meetings and phone calls. This company seems easy to work with if there are no hiccups, but refuse to accommodate issues even if they are out of anyone's control. Beware when you sign the contract because multiple phrases are worded in a way that can be twisted to benefit the company of it suits them. Bottom line: terrible custom service. Do not use this DJ!

Our daughter was married on May 19th and this was a destination wedding for all. Jarad at Genius Entertainment was amazing and so easy to work with as I took care of the planning over the months. His online tool where payments could be made, music options chosen, itinerary set, etc. was very helpful. He was amazing to work with - the perfect choice for our special event!

Jarad at Genius Entertainment was fantastic to work with, start to finish. We were an out-of-town couple, so Jarad's online system worked perfectly for us. He was easy to talk to and answered all of our questions along the way. We really liked that he adapted his emcee style to the mood of the event (not a corny wedding DJ, unless that's what you want). The music he played was exactly what we asked for, and we got several compliments throughout the night. Many guests thought we had hand-picked the songs, since they matched our style so well. People were dancing all night, and Jarad led the crowd to a fantastic final dance that we will never forget! We highly recommend using Genius Entertainment!

They did an awesome job during the wedding and ceremony! Any meetings and interactions that I had with them prior to the wedding were very professional. Any concerns that I had were addressed appropriately and in a timely manner. I would most certainly recommend them and use them again. The only thing that we would have liked to have been different was to have had Motown played during the cocktail hour as we requested. My husband did not request much during the entire wedding planning process, but that was something that meant a lot to him. Otherwise, it went very well!

The team at Genius Entertainment is always a pleasure to work with. This past weekend, my husband and I celebrated our wedding at the UF Hilton and we had a blast. Jarad from Genius did a fantastic job at getting the crowd on the dance floor and he paid close attention to the mood we wanted to set throughout the reception. Prior to the wedding, we met a couple of times to discuss the flow of the evening as well as the types of songs that we wanted to be played. Throughout the entire wedding planning process, he paid close attention to every detail and made sure that our vision was carried out. We were so grateful to have Jarad DJ at our wedding!

We got married May 7th, 2016 and Jarad was our DJ and he did an amazing job! Everyone had a blast at our wedding! We danced all night and had so much fun!

Gnys Entertainment was great to work with! Jarad helped us make a lot of our music decisions and our DJ Cameron was so nice and did a fantastic job at helping create the perfect environment for our wedding! They were all very professional and definitely cared about what we wanted. Highly recommend!

I can’t say enough about these guys. Throughout all of our business with them, they were very polite and professional, and the service they provided for our ceremony and reception was great. The sound quality was outstanding, and DJ JD played all the right songs at all the right times. We would recommend Genius to anyone in need of DJ services. These guys are phenomenal!

I don't even know where to begin. We just had our wedding this past weekend, and I cannot tell you how many of our guests complimented Jarad and his DJ services. We were referred to Jarad and G-Nys Entertainment by our friends who used him for their wedding. He again amazed us with his ability to play the "right stuff at the right time." Jarad catered to our every need. He was extremely professional and responsive throughout the entire planning process. He adjusted well to changes in our reception schedule, and gracefully took care of a last minute change in the mother/son dance song. Our wedding was mostly a "younger crowd," and he really paid attention to how guests were responding to the music. He has a great way of interacting with guests that is not over-the-top or too casual. Also, his equipment delivers a high quality sound and does not take up an excessive amount of space. We would absolutely recommend Jarad and G-Nys Entertainment to anyone who is planning an event!

After only meeting with Jarad twice before our wedding, we live in Maryland, we and our guests had the best time ever. The music was perfect! We literally had to be told to leave because our rental was over! We could have been dancing all night...and we are NOT a group of rowdy party-goers! I would recommend G-nys to ANYONE for ANY event!

My wedding was hectic with multiple changes and people running around everywhere. I really enjoyed our DJ as he did a great job dealing with our craziness. Would love to see him at another wedding.

Loved jarad! He was right on with our wishes. He was able to suggest music for things we were stuck on as we did not want the same same as everyone has. We danced the night away & everyone from 21-70 wished we had 1 more hour of dance time. We just couldn't make it work with photographer. He dressed perfect, did not self advertise (we had heard nightmares about DJ's passing out business cards or string banners) he did not & was very professional. I would recommend him to anyone! I told my husband I wish we had a reason to throw another party with jarad as it was o much fun!

G-nys does an amazing job with entertainment. Jarad is very easy to work with and his entire staff does great work. The planning process was easy, the music was amazingly done and conformed to everything we asked for. Our guests had a great time (as did we) and Lauren (our emcee) kept the night flowing well and coordinated everything for big events (cake cutting, garter and bouquet toss, entrance) with our location staff. We had uplighting as an addition that just was a perfect touch for the room. We couldn't have been happier!

G-nys Entertainment did such a great job at my wedding! They met with me beforehand, were very patient as I changed my mind and sent multiple lists of songs, and then did an awesome job during the reception. They made it the best party ever with lots of energy!

My reception was such a success. Everyone was dancing and Jarad really set that mood. His MC skills made the schedule of events run smoothly and I really found it comforting that his voice did not sound corny like some other DJs often do. He checked to make sure everything was going to plan and adjusted every detail to make sure the reception was the best possible. The only critique I can give is that the email correspondence was a little slow, but he more than made up for that for being able to MC a party with music that is a bit more obscure and make the precious moments like toasts fit the schedule nicely. I highly recommend.

I was a little concerned because i was having alot of hispanic guests and i didnt want any of my guest to feel left out. Jarad did a really great job at mixing the music. I saw everyone out on the dance floor breaking it down. Alot of my guests commented that they had a blast out on the dance floor. He used my timeline throughout the whole event...he kept us on track and made the night run very smoothly!! I also took first-dance lessons with Gnys...best decision ever!! Our first dance turned out great. Everyone loved it and it was a nice icebreaker.

Extremely pleaesd with G-nys Entertainment. We used them for our reception at Mark's Prime Steakhouse in Gainesville, FL. They were early for set-up and stated later for us because we were having such a good time. They played every single song we had on our list of "must haves." Extremely professional!

My husband and I used this vendor for both dance lessons and for DJ services at our wedding. We were genuinely pleased with every bit of our experience. If you want something a little off the normal track, G-nys Entertainment is the place to go. We had an unsual playlist that spanned decades and genres, and were worried about handing it to someone who wouldn't understand what we were going for. Jarad listened to our vision, thought our crazy music selection awesome, and kept us both feeling calm and collected the day of the wedding. Our wedding sounded perfect for us, and guests complimented us on the music and DJ all the way through. And Lauren, who is a wonderful instructor, got my father waltzing with poise. She also taught my husband and I to cha-cha. They made the lessons easy and fun. We now find ourselves missing our dance lessons and wanting to take more... Getting lessons was the best " get a little extra" decision we made.

Jered and his staff were wonderful! Very professional and and were ready for any unexpected issues! Thank-you for a wonderful experience in creating a lifetime of memories!

The staff was very courteous and professional. I liked that Lauren kept me updated throughout the night about what was going on and asking when I ready to do the next thing. It was very nice having her in charge so I didn't have to worry about anything. And when I was ready to leave I just let her know and she handled everything. I was very happy with everything that G-Nys did and would hire you guys again in a heartbeat.

We hired G-Nys (Genius) Entertainment and had the owner, Jarad, as our DJ. It was great overall! Jarad also conducted our ceremony music - we told him which songs we wanted him to play when, and he did a wonderful job. He also did a great job keeping the reception moving and playing good songs. He really is receptive to what the audience is responding to and will play based on that (and, based on a list of songs/genres that we initially recommended). He announces the dances and ceremonies (e.g., bouquet toss) - so let him know what ceremonies you want to do and when! He overall did a wonderful job, especially since we didn't have a huge guest list so there weren't a ton of people dancing at any given time. He was quite inexpensive for us (and we had a coupon for one hour free) but he is becoming I think more popular and his fees might have gone up a bit. Overall great experience with him!
