unty, CA, I do not live there anymore (we got married in San Clemente). So, we were planning our wedding from afar. Working with Genna was super easy and she was able to accommodate my scheduling needs during my visits. I gave her an idea of what I wanted and she was able to make it come to life. She does a great job at making sure you truly like the final product - I felt very comfortably telling her what I did/did not like and she never made me feel uncomfortable for wanting to try different options. She did a great job on my bridesmaids and the mothers as well. I would absolutely choose Genna for my future styling needs (when I am in town) :)

The first thing that I loved about her was her communication. She responded to my emails quickly and answered all of my questions. I found her prices to be very responsible. I have had friends that paid way more and their work was nothing close to Genna's. Genna salon where you get your trial done is adorable and she makes sure you are comfortable and happy the entire time. She asks you throughout the entire process how you feel and does not mind changing anything if you don't like it. She took lots of pictures after my trial so I could look at it after. It was so nice to have the pictures to reference because my trial was alive before the wedding. On the wedding day Genna and her assistant arrived early and my wedding was all the way in San Diego. I had myself, 8 bridesmaids, a flower girl and mother of the bride. They worked so quickly but that did not affect the quality of the work at all!! She made sure that my wedding day was relaxed and I was happy during the entire process. Not to mention thats he is so nice and fun! The energy in the room was great! Overall everyone was beyond happy with their hair and makeup. They were amazed by how good they looked hahaha As the bride, I was 100% over the moon about my look. It was even better then I ever expected! I would recommend Genna to everyone for bridal hair and makeup. I would also recommend just a normal cut and style! Seriously...she is the best!! One of my bridesmaids was so pleased that she booked her for her upcoming wedding as well. Book Genna...I promise you will not regret it!!

She was on time, didn't mind my many head count changes (including a surprise, day of addition from my mother-in-law) and might be a miracle worker because somehow all our hair and make up stayed in place all through the night, in 85 degree heat, which is really saying something because I know for a fact that my hair, my mother in laws hair, and my maid of honors hair can't hold a curl for the life of us. I'm so grateful I found her and would recommend her to anyone looking to get dolled up for an event!

I was worried because my hair is so thick so it sometimes doesn't hold a curl, or when you pin it up it won't stay, but I had no problems all night! Plus, she's so much fun to be around and it really felt like she was just "one of the girls," as we were all hanging out and getting ready. On your big day, you want someone who can put you at ease and make you feel comfortable while also being professional and being able to do an amazing job! I highlight recommend her!!

ay. As I searched and asked around, a professional in the wedding industry recommended Genna Khein. I was really impressed with all of the variety I saw in her portfolio. I reached out to Genna and we had a few exchanges via email before I scheduled a trial with her. During our trial, she showed me two different makeup looks and two different hairstyles. She was super sweet! I really appreciated her honesty and it was easy to talk to her about things I'm self-conscious about (i.e. eczema). I walked out of Genna's studio feeling confident, and the look lasted through our engagement photo session all the way to the end of the night. When wedding day came around, Genna and her 2 assistants came early and were ready for game day like it was their Super Bowl Sunday. Her team worked efficiently, and my girls were really happy with how their hair and makeup turned out! For myself, I made a last-minute decision to go with an up-do and I decided to use lighter false lashes. Genna was totally open to my last-minute decisions and I loved the end result. I had zero worries about my up-do staying put and my makeup was weightless all day! I would, without hesitation, recommend Genna as a wedding HMUA. She's so down-to-earth, professional, and talented.
