Genoa Lakes Golf Group consists of two 18-hole golf courses, nearby lodging, and beautiful scenery, and is within driving distance from Lake Tahoe, Gardnerville, Carson City, and Reno. Our wedding venue has a Ballroom with a large dance floor, a more intimate Sunroom fir for rehearsal dinners and cocktail hour, a spacious Bride and Groom salon, and two fully stocked bars. Our staff prides themselves on excellent customer service and smiling faces throughout the entire event. There is no cleanup for you. Equipt with a selection of linens, arbors, ceremony chairs, cutlery, glassware, plate settings, and more; there is less stress and less of a drain on your budget. Beautiful spot for a wedding with great outdoor and indoor venue options. Beautiful outside setting location. Great menu options and the food was delicious as well. Great spot for a wedding!

I am the mother of the bride from last week's wedding that was absolutely spectacular! Jen is the star attraction and leader of the venue. The decor, the food, the appetizers, the closet where I was permitted to use any additional items were all dreamy. Love love love to have this as the place where we made life long memories.

Loved it when we booked but the experience leading up to it as well as the day of I do not recommend.. Paid for chair covers through the venue and day all of a sudden they did not have enough claims a new employee must of thrown them out. One reason we booked was the ceiling decor. Was told they were putting in new lights but the drapery would be put back up. Day of the drapery was not back up.. so it looked naked. between not having white chair covers and no drapery it was NOT what I had envisioned. They also provided my guest "big gulp" sized cups for my signature drink which I feel like they just wanted to get rid of my alcohol so we can get it from thr bar. The alcohol was mysterious gone by dinner. So apparently we went through an equivalent of 15 bottles of liquor in 1 hour of cocktail hour. The bartender also picked and chose who paid for alcohol and who to put on our bar tab. The day of was a complete headache!

Ohhh this place! ❤️❤️❤️ This venue was everything we wanted and more for our wedding. It was our first, last and only stop in looking for a venue. From the location and space, to the food and service and let's definately not forget the master himself, Tec, we were blown away with how everything came together. Our families and guests loved every minute of our wedding. We know because they all kept telling us during and still after. Tec was so helpful and amazing through the entire planning process that it made my experience go really smooth. When I call him a master, I mean exactly that. There aren't enough things I can say to express the appreciation I have for him and all the work that him and his staff did for our wedding. It was the best day ever and it was better than I could have imagined. I would recommend this venue to anyone and everyone.

Part of me did not want to do any reviewes because I wanted to keep Genoa My little treasure. The place in general is just beautiful. At Genoa Lakes Golf Course, from A-Z is just about the same. The physical beauty and detail is astonishing. Last but definitely not least Tec, is everything and more in what some one needs in having a wedding. He’s real, and seasoned. From the venue to the food, to the staff every one was beyond perfect. We drove 6.5 hours to have our wedding here. I promise you I’d do it again very soon. Just gotta find something big to celebrate.

I can not say enough great things about Genoa Lakes Golf Course and the food an beverage director, Tec Childers! We had our wedding there on June 1st, 2018 and would do it again am million times over! From the first day we toured the venue and met Tec I could instantly picture our wedding there. Tec was there for me 24/7, whenever I had a question, concern, or wanted to visit the venue (it's so beautiful I think I could live there). Tec has an impeccably honest, no-nonsense approach to all things wedding and all things beautiful. I would ask his opinion on if something is necessary or not, all the way to whether something would be aesthetically pleasing or not for our wedding reception and I could always count on him to give an honest answer. At no point did I ever feel like he was only in it for the money, he truly cared about my thoughts and concerns and our wedding day. And don't tell him I told you... but he's also a big softie when it comes to all the sentimental moments ;) The day of our wedding went INCREDIBLY smooth, and I definitely have Tec to thank for that. He was so accommodating to anything I asked or needed from him, from pushing the reception time, all the way to making sure that everything looked the best it possibly could. If there were guests or family members who got out of line, you can bet your bottom Tec took care of that! Put it this way... if I had asked Tec for a horse and carriage ride right in the middle of our wedding, he would've done everything in his power to make that happen. As I said before, I absolutely can not say enough wonderful things about Tec, his wait staff, the bartenders, EVERYTHING about Genoa Lakes Golf Club. I would have our wedding there 10 million more times and would recommend it to anyone and everyone I know!

We had a beautiful and wonderful wedding here in May 2017! Tec, the manager was beyond helpful and very knowledgeable. He made sure that everything was perfect for our special day, even though it POURED down rain all day. Him and his team pulled through and had a backup plan in place to make sure everything was taken care of due to weather issues. The food was amazing! They have beyond a ton of food options to choose from and we were not disappointed with what we chose. We went with the dinner buffet and had the Tri Tip and Salmon with scallop potatoes which were just mouth watering good and not to mention their amazing chocolate chip cookies!!! The room was a perfect backdrop for our special day along with the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains in the background for photos done outside. We couldn't have asked for a better location to have our special day!!!

This is the best value around for a wedding. They include the food and beverages and the venue is soooo gorgeous with the views of the mountains. We used the Mountain View room and it fit our wedding of 70 people perfectly. Marie is super helpful and very professional.

We had our wedding in November. Since it was too chilly outside for an outdoor ceremony, we had our ceremony inside in the birch tree room. The room was absolutely beautiful and it had a very warm and intimate feel to it. The reception room was everything we could have asked for. It had the feel of a warm cabin and big windows for a look outside into the breathtaking view of the golf club and mountains (venue perfect for outside pictures as well). The service and food was top notch and we are very pleased with everyone involved at Genoa Lakes. We would highly recommed the location to future brides and grooms.

I have always known I wanted to get married at this location. Our wedding was in April of 2010, and the first wedding of the season. It proved to be more wonderful than I hoped for. Genoa Lakes (the original one!) is a beautiful location that provides the comfortable space, gracious staff, amazing food and breath views of the mountains. It had snowed a few days prior, the mountains were freshly covered. The events coordinator, Marie, was so helpful, and knew just what I wanted to make my wedding amazing. We had the best time. Our family and friends say it was the best wedding they have ever been too. And best of all, the cost was worth every dime, and not unreasonable.
