My wife and I had our wedding on NYE 2023 and we asked Chris to be our photographer. Throughout the process Chris was a pleasure to work with and he was very helpful. He asked us to compile different photo ideas we wanted to capture and everything turned out beautifully. Chris was very good about capturing the moments without being intrusive and made us feel very comfortable. Our wedding was fantasy themed with candle lights and fairy lights. We wanted our wedding to start at sunset and Chris was able to still make everything work. We now have the difficult task of picking out of favorite photos for an album, which is almost impossible because we love almost all the photos.

The team did an amazing job for both our engagement and wedding photos. Vanessa was very easy to work with and was great at giving feedback and direction during both shoots. The second shooter for the groomsmen was very attentive and experienced in getting the photos without the feeling of hovering around us. Our family was so pleased by their services that they hired Vanessa to shoot my step sister's senior photos as well. Their website was seamless and they were prompt in returning emails and most importantly they were on time for both days.

My wife and I wanted a very small wedding, as we are both not the type to be front and center for something like this. It was simply going to be us, the judge and a photographer. We had a few photographer friends back out of taking our pictures pretty late in the planning, so we were searching for a photographer that could take our photos on pretty short notice. My wife found Chris’s studio on Google through an article about Best Photography in Houston, and sent him a message to inquire about his services. Not only were we impressed with how fast he got back to us, but how warm and accommodating he was with the ideas we had. We didn’t have a lot in mind, and we preferred more of a candid style and trusted his talent based on the galleries from his website. He assured us that this would not be a problem, nor our limited time that we had at our courthouse venue in Houston. He kept us updated with communication right up until we were ready to go, and he did not disappoint. I was immediately impressed and comforted when he showed up on-time (even early so we could get some shots before our time slot) with his camera gear ready to go. He asked us a few questions on some pictures we might want, and he worked out a quick plan outside our venue without hesitation and we got started. I could not have been happier with the whole situation after stressing out just weeks before without a photographer, and Chris delivered in spades. My wife looks absolutely gorgeous in every photo, and we have so many great shots of our special day to share with our family and friends. Chris was professional, talented and absolutely fair on the costs of his services. We weren’t in a hurry to get our pictures back, but he managed to deliver those quickly as well with the edits they needed. I really can’t say enough good things about Chris taking our photos. We were pleased that we chose Genovese Studios for our wedding (as well as my engagements and bridals). Chris was a good resource and communicator in the months leading up to all of these photoshoots. I was originally discontent with my bridal shots, partially due to the lighting (and partially due to factors outside of Chris's control), but he was able to resolve my concerns quickly with some editing. We got our wedding photos back in just under a month, and we were pleased with the quality and quantity of photos.

We got married in June 2021 and used Chris for our rehearsal dinner and wedding. Chris and his entire team were so great to work with. Chris has a magical way of making every moment beautiful! Most of the time (during engagements, bridals, and the wedding) I hardly noticed he was there! Having a dad who is into photography, I always had a certain idea of what good photography looks like. That is what I saw when I looked at Genovese Studios’ portfolio. The compositions looked clean and intentional. I like the rich but natural color that Chris delivers in his photography. I feel like nowadays it’s easy for anyone to pick up a camera, throw on some filters, and overcharge people for photos. I liked that Chris was formally trained, and I liked his classic and timeless style. Considering that, his prices are excellent value for the quality and expertise received. I liked that he has a bunch of galleries available for viewing, so that I could see consistent quality in how a whole wedding was shot rather than just a few cherry-picked photos. I could not find a photo I didn’t like in his portfolio. Which is why I booked Genovese Studios ASAP! On top of being a great photographer, Chris is a great person to work with. He is friendly, genuine, straightforward, calm, and professional. The customer service did not stop after he got our business. He is very responsive to emails and shares your concerns, taking time to explain things when needed. He was very flexible and understanding with us having to postpone our reception due to COVID-19. He was efficient at group portraits on wedding day. His second shooter was friendly and professional and got good shots as well. Turnaround time was fast. I am so happy with our wedding photos and the moments that were captured. I think the classic images will stand the test of time and someday be a cherished heirloom. I could not have been more impressed with Chris! He did an amazing job and was so easy to work with and quick to respond to any questions I had. I can’t express enough how happy we were that we chose Chris and Genovese Studios to capture our wedding day. From the very beginning of the process, Chris met with and worked with us to create a package that included all of the photography services we were wanting within our budget. He also kept in touch throughout our engagement and took the time to walk us through the timeline for the day to make sure everything would run smoothly. On the day of the wedding, he made sure that we had pictures of all of the specific shots we were wanting despite some unexpected bad weather and kept us in our timeline. Fantastic job dealing with the stress and craziness of the morning of the wedding. While we are taking time getting ready and having fun with friends he was considerate and professional about making sure that we kept to the schedule we had planned to get to the church in time to finish getting ready and so that he could get set up. He was able to work great within the confines of what the church allowed and still captured all the special moments of the day. After the ceremony he was great with organizing everyone and making sure that people were where they needed to be so that my husband and I did not have to try and corral our family and friends. During the reception Chris was able to get tons of great photos while managing to make it feel like he wasn't there. He was always making sure that the shots we wanted were being taken, so that we did not feel like anything was missed. He did an amazing job as well of making sure that we were staying on schedule for getting out of the church and to the reception.

Wow, just wow! Not only is Chris super professional and easy to work it, he genuinely wants to make your day as special as possibly. He was so easy to schedule with which made the day of a breeze regarding photos! The photos were gorgeous! He does a great job of mixing the traditional photos with candid captures. Chris did our engagement shoot, my bridal portraits, and our wedding photos and I just have to say his pictures are crystal clear, full of drama and emotion, and he was just such a pleasure to work with!! He was very personable and fun. He's always sending e-mails to make sure you have all the resources and information you need to be prepared for your shoots, which I appreciate so much! You can tell he's really put a lot of time into making his clients happy. I was also so impressed with the way he handled our wedding day. My bridesmaids and I have a certain sense of humor and he caught on and fit right in! He was very organized regarding what shots to get and when to get them. He did a fantastic job getting my large family together to quickly take group photos. He always makes sure to communicate with you and ask you if there are any other shots you want to take. And his price range is SUPER REASONABLE. What really drew me to Chris were his crystal clear shots. Blurry pictures are one of my biggest pet peeves, especially professional pictures! Chris and his assistant were so professional. Chris made the whole process so easy and has an awesome website you can log into to view everything and order anything after. My photos came out so beautiful! What I loved the most was that he was not like some other photographers I’ve seen at weddings that block everyone’s view and get in everyone’s way. He was able to capture awesome shots without being overly intrusive which made our ceremony feel much more intimate. So much so that when I was looking at the pictures I said to my husband when did they even take that? But I must say when I did want a specific picture with a specific person they were never far away and super accommodating! I highly recommend Chris for all your photography needs!

We used Chris Genovese for our wedding day pictures. I am so happy our wedding planner recommended him! He is down to earth, knowledgeable, friendly and professional. He made the process of getting large family photos accomplished easy and quick so we could enjoy the day. It happened to be unexpectedly cold in the afternoon of our wedding and Chris and his assistant were awesome in developing a plan to get some quick outdoor shots before we all froze. Those outdoor shots of downtown Houston and in front of our wedding venue are some of my favorites. And we did not have to wait months to get our pictures back either, even though we had him for 10 hours of photography. They came back super quick. Lots of photos and they ALL came out wonderful! I get to relive the entire day whenever I look at them!

We had narrowed down our choice for our wedding photographer to two and after speaking with Chris on the phone, it was clear who we needed to choose. Chris was very genuine and honest and he took the time out to talk to us about what made Genovese Studios different from the other photographers. I also liked that he was flexible enough to arrange a custom package that was to our liking and cost-effective. On the day of the wedding, Chris and Zach were extremely pleasant and helpful. We really didn't know much about how to pose, but both of them guided us gently and eased our anxieties about how the day would progress. Hiring Chris as my photographer for my wedding was the absolute best decision that I could have made. Not only did he deliver beautiful pictures for my engagement photos, bridal portraits, and wedding, but he was such a pleasure to work with. My husband and I felt at ease with him from the first time we met him. And we actually had a lot of fun working with him throughout our wedding process! Living in Houston, but getting married in Baton Rouge, Chris was very flexible with his schedule and was able to travel with me to Baton Rouge for both my bridal portraits and my wedding. I was extremely happy with every set of pictures he has sent me, and with so many great ones, I am having trouble choosing my favorites! For our wedding, the absolute most important vendor choice was the photographer. We couldn't have made a better pick than Chris. It wasn't just the value - though that certainly made the choice simpler. It was the easy chemistry Chris had with us as clients and the absolutely gorgeous photos we ended up with. We had already taken engagement photos, so I had a bridals session with Chris and those also turned out better than I could've dreamed. One of my favorite aspects of working with Chris (and Zach at the wedding) was how relaxed they made you feel. There was no stress, no pressure, and there were plenty of laughs. Chris was so helpful, so patient, and so responsive during the planning process. Especially when it came to the many photo requests my family and I put forward for him on the wedding day. I simply couldn't have asked for a better experience!

Chris did our engagement photos as well as the wedding day. He was incredibly helpful in the preparation for the wedding, looking at the timeline and making suggestions. It helps to have someone who regularly experiences weddings give feedback on the details since we had never done this before! He took all of our requests and ran with them and came in with ideas of his own as well. The engagements were beautiful and I cannot wait to see the wedding photographs!

Chris/Genovese Studios encompasses that critical combination of laid back and confident , while simultaneously being a good listener and capturing those golden shots. He is easy to have around, and is incredibly thoughtful and communicative throughout the wedding process. For example, I am not a fan of having my photograph taken and do not enjoy the list of obligatory family photos (even while knowing they are necessary). Chris heard my resistance to the obligatory photo sessions, organized them to move quickly (and they were even a little fun), and then helped us get back to the wedding party-- where he amazingly captured the more meaningful, live moments of the event. The photos are out of this world. I can't say enough about Chris' intuition and ease with the moments and shots that matter on the wedding day. Do not hesitate to work with Genovese Studios.

Kim and her associate were extremely professional. They were very attentive to my concerns throughout the entire engagements session and leading up to "the big day". My photographs are breathtaking! Kim and her team were absolutely incredible. From our first phone call, we felt so comfortable with them. Things were a whirlwind the day of our wedding, but they managed to get in every photo combination we were looking for in record time. On top of it, the photos are flawless! You can't even tell it was 90 degrees and 100% humidity out there. They captured such magical moments all night and were such a delight to work with! I could not recommend them more!

Genovese Studios makes the impossible, possible! Everything I wanted from my photographer happened with this team. Chris is always available to answer questions or make suggestions. The experience this team has is incredible. In many ways Chris doubled as my reception coordinator for my wedding night. After I told him how I wanted the night to go (order of dances, cake, etc.) he helped me make it happen. He was still my photographer first! Chris and his assistant captured many important memories from that night. My husband and I can’t wait to do our After-Wedding session with him next week!

Chris and his team were so easy to work with for my engagement shoot, bridal shoot and wedding. I was very impressed with the final pictures and how easy going and flexible he was with the many specific photos I wanted, including working with our crazy dogs. Chris was absolutely amazing during our entire wedding preparation! Since the very first day we booked him he was always available for help and easy to get in touch with. He made everything so easy for us and we never had to stress! We both immediately felt at ease shooting our engagement photos with him. My husband and I are not the most comfortable in front of a camera...but we had absolutely no trouble at all with Chris. He allowed us to be ourselves and encouraged us to just have fun! Chris is very organized, professional, and is an extremely calming presence which was very much appreciated. He made our engagement photos and wedding day go by smoothly without any trouble.
