Process regarding the scheduling of the photos is wonky. Could not speak to the photographer until a week prior to the shoot which I see is...
a common grievance amongst other reviewers here. The shoot itself felt rushed, even though we only used not even half of the time we paid for due to a change in our wedding plans.
The photos themselves came back horrendous with terrible angles, lighting and positioning. The lens they were using made everyone look huge, including my best man who is anything but. It became very apparent that they were just mindlessly clicking, hoping for any shot to stick instead of though out, intentional shots.
We spoke with Courtney regarding how displeased we were with the end product. Mind you, she initiated the conversation regarding compensation options, including financial. We also are not expecting and entire refund for the services, only partial due to the poor quality of the photos and the actual time that was used for the shoot. After communicating our issues to Courtney, we had to wait over a week for her to get back to us, which we had to reach back out for initially.
They do not wish to reimburse us financially. Instead they want to offer us 3 of the following items including 50 complimentary edits:
- Fine Art 12x12 Album ($1,000 value)
- $500 Print Credit
- Up to 30x40 Canvas Print ($380 value)
- Replica Albums 8x8 Bundle - Set of 2 ($425 value)
- Up to 20 Extra Album Pages - 50 Images ($300)
We also had already told her that amongst the fraction of photos that were salvageable, we already edited them and did not want any edits from their end as we do not trust them with our likenesses at this point.
My question to Courtney so all can see: if you're willing to provide the above services alongside and show their monetary values, why not just reimburse us the money we were asking? Surely those costs would be more than enough to cover a refund to us and avoid my wife and I giving such harsh feedback? Unless those numbers are just highly inflated which I guarantee they are in order to swindle any unsuspecting newlyweds out of their money who fall victim to paying such outlandish costs. ($1000 for an album? Seriously?)

We chose this photography team after extensive research, as they appeared highly recommended across multiple platforms. Based on their reputation, we felt confident moving forward....
We booked an eight-hour photography package, but due to a change in our wedding plans, we only needed three hours of coverage. We expected that fewer hours would allow for more attention to detail and quality.
Unfortunately, that was not our experience.
We received over 1,000 photos, but the majority were unusable due to unflattering angles, lighting issues, awkward poses, and minimal direction during the shoot. Prior to the wedding, we shared clear visual references outlining what we look like, preferred poses and angles, and what we wanted to avoid. Despite this, the guidance we expected from professionals was largely absent.
The logistics of getting to the photo location were also stressful, and we began the shoot already rushed and uncomfortable. There was no effort to pause, reset, or offer corrective direction — including letting us know when expressions or positioning were unflattering.
Reviewing the photos afterward was difficult. Even with pro editing experience, I spent several days going through the gallery and was only able to salvage 37 images that we felt represented us well.
We acknowledge that the contract includes a clause regarding responsibility for final image quality, which we regret not scrutinizing more closely. Still, we feel it’s important for future couples to understand our experience.
Wedding photography is deeply personal and once-in-a-lifetime. Unfortunately, our photos did not reflect how we felt or looked on the day, and based on our experience, we would recommend that couples proceed with caution.

Starting with the coordination back and forth with my mother in law to make sure that we ironed out the exact details of what we wanted and what we could afford. We ended up going with just one photographer and we were still treated with the utmost care and respect. Moving on to the actual day Alex was there nice and early and clearly knew the venue. He was so warm and welcoming that we immediately felt like we had known him for years. He became a part of the wedding and was running around to make sure he got every photo and angle he could. After seeing their fantastic reviews from real couples, their website, and all their recognitions in Wedding Wire, we decided to schedule a consultation to inquire about their services for our wedding. I cannot state this enough, but George Street Photo blew all other studios we considered out of the race. They have the best prices, many great photographers in their studio, and a fabulous wedding coordination team, ensuring you're being taken care of every step of the way.
We were blessed to have Ese E. as our wedding photographer on 09.30.23 in San Diego, CA. She did a fantastic job. Her photojournalistic view is impressive, and she took candids from our bridal party every step of the way during our wedding day. I highly recommend having two photographers at your wedding, by the way. Our second photographer, Joel, was great as well. He took great pictures at the night's end, while we were on the dance floor, and at our departure from the reception, which I will cherish forever.
Finally, their photographer, Steve, did a fantastic job in our engagement photo session. We did our session at the San Diego Natural History Museum, where we had our wedding reception. He is very chill and knows how to ensure the couple has fun during the session. We also have some fantastic pictures here, which we used for our photobook/guestbook for our reception.
Overall, I am very content with the pictures from George Street Photo. I highly recommend them for your wedding needs and look forward to working with them in the future for all my big event photography needs.

I’ve called three times, have been told management is going to call back and nothing. Three months later and still no video. Never followed up after our wedding asking how it went. Don’t even know how to order those books that they are supposed to come with because no one calls back. We spent a lot of money, and extremely disappointed and sad that the quality and customer service didn’t meet what we were told and my detailed timeline was completely ignored so this wouldn’t happen. It wasn’t a birthday party, it was a wedding we really thought we found the right company to go with.

umbled upon George Street on the Knot. I was definitely skeptical at first, but I couldn't get past the great price they offered for their services. I finally decided to just go for it & book. The booking/planning process couldn't have been easier. I like many others ended up being a Covid-bride & had to postpone our wedding 2 times. George Streets team was very responsive & understanding during that time. Our wedding finally occurred on 4/17 of this year. On Friday the 16th I received an unexpected & unsettling (at first) phone call from the George Street team notifying me that my chosen photographer had Covid & could no longer shoot my wedding. They let me know a replacement had been chosen & they'd send me some examples of their work. I was a wreck, after 2+ years of planning, several postponements & a lot of stress this was the last thing I wanted to hear. Then, my new photographer Christina called me & all of my concerns went out the window. She was so nice, understanding & helpful when I talked to her the day of the wedding. She was that & so much more the day of. I was again riddled with anxiety the day of & was a nervous wreck. She reassured me everything would be ok, gave me space when I needed it & worked all day to put me in the best head space day of. The day wouldn't of been what it was if it wasn't for how incredible she was. She truly was a blessing in disguise & we were SO grateful things turned out the way they did & she was chosen as our photographer. I'd recommend George Street & Christine (for any S. Florida couples) to anyone looking for a photographer in the area!

The planning team needs to be more informed about permit requirements and tell couples early on.

being a photographer myself. As I started to read reviews, my thoughts became negative towards George Street. I stressed for almost a year on my choice. The week of my wedding, I spoke with Shannon the Photographer. She is seriously the sweetest lady. She calmed down my nerves and negative thoughts toward GSP. The day before the wedding rain was in the forecast. I kept in touch with Shannon on a plan B to have photos at the Hotel instead of the actual Venue since it was outside. The day of the wedding we decided to do the photos at the hotel. She came up with a new timeline and sent it to me. She met every single expectation, I had. She was kind, generous and made sure I was comfortable and everyone else was! I got a sneak peak of the photos and I am so happy I went with Shannon and George Street!

ith regards to video. We did our engagement photo shoot in Boston with Jessica, who was an absolute delight to work with. She also did photos for our wedding, along with Sergio. They were both amazing, and the photos came out great. We loved them. With video, due to religious/cultural preferences, we asked for a female videographer. However, we were first assigned a male (I found out by accident actually). At first they didn't budge about changing the videographer, and when they did find a female, they wanted to charge me a travel fee for her. At this point, it wasn't about the money - it was about the principle. As your customer, you should have figured things out on your end without getting me involved. Eventually, they gave in and took care of the travel fee. The day of the wedding - all goes well with video. Kendra was so sweet and managed to catch all the important footage of the evening. However, before the videos went for editing, I made some requests from the editors for things not to include in the highlight video. They've sent it to me twice, not taking into account those requests both times. It's now been 7 months since our wedding, and I still have not gotten that video. I'm pretty tired of waiting at this point, and just hope that someday they'll remember to send the corrected video to me.

My photographer was Carlo and he was AMAZING!!! I honestly cannot say enough good things about him. He was professional, courteous, on time, but most importantly he was so accommodating! Every idea that popped into my head for a picture, he ran with. Everyone loved him. He took the most beautiful pictures and never said no to any of my wacky ideas. I am so grateful to them and so happy that I chose them for my big day!!

ul of photos (the best of the best edits) by said photographer. Once you make your barely educated guess on a photographer you are locked in. A videographer will be given to you at random about a month before the wedding.
They'll jokingly ask your opinion on specific shots you would like during the wedding. I say jokingly because they may or may not get the shots you asked for. I wanted a shot of my husband's face when he saw me coming down the aisle. We had TWO photographers and neither of them got that shot. This is only one of the few requests I made that was disregarded. I'm not even sure why we had a second photographer other than to have her photo bomb what would have been decent pictures. I gave specifics on family dynamics that should be avoided, this too was disregarded leading to awkward, avoidable situations.
The pictures you do receive will be unedited and untouched up, basic things like cropping out the 2nd photographer. When we raised our concerns we were only given 50 free edits and an album of random pics that they deemed too dark/overexposed, and honestly you can never get the moments back to capture them at that point.
We were told that we would be able to review the footage and make edits to the music in the video before it would be finalized. NOPE! One day we received an email saying our package was on the way and a video was shipped to us. The music skips in the video, transitions are awkward, etc.
I cant wait to see how the album turns out...

ographer that knew what they were doing but not pricey was difficult. I found George Street looking through The Knot and saw that not only were the pictures great quality but also for an affordable price! Most communication was with the wedding coordinator but she was very helpful in answering questions and it was great that they have you fill in all the info for the day of so that a timeline was made up for the photographer. My photographer Konrad knew exactly what he was doing. It was pretty hot out that day but he was so patient in taking our pictures and he captured so many great candids which is what I wanted! Definitely recommended going with George Street!
